What’re your favorite kh ships?

If I'm being honest... I really only true ship SoKai these days (my forever OTP). Mainly because I feel like that's the only one I can really ever see actually being canon (well, aside from Yozora and Nameless Star, and I also ship them: a lot of that for Versus XIII reasons. My heart won't let go). And, I mean, not that a ship needs to be canon for me to ship them. Not at all. But I'll admit that I've grown out of some of the KH ships a wee bit, as I've found more adult ones in other fandoms to get invested one.

VenAqua slightly, but I'd always choose Terra and Aqua over it (but one thing about the Wayfinder Trio for me, if I'm being truthful, is that I prefer the three of them as friends before any romance with any of them. Part of me even really thinks all three of them are truly just meant to be friends.)

A lot of people ship Ven and Strelitzia for some reason. And I doubt it'll ever happen, tbh. Who knows if they'll ever even really get a chance to meet and be friends. But I do get why they think it'd be cute.

And while I don't know if I truly ship them anymore, a part of me will always have a soft spot for Ventus and Naminé. Because for some reason, I really used to ship this crack pairing, back in the day.

I also don't really know if I ship them... but despite what I said above, I do get the feeling that Nomura might be doing something with Lauriam/Marluxia and Elrena/Larxene.

#YES brony's were cringy and mean a lot of the time but that video really is a time capsule to the death of fandom #like fandom is so drastically different now than it was in 2011/2012 we're so disconnected now #when in ye olden days you were mainly in a fandom to make friends #and there was so much fanwork and everyone excitedly interacting with those fanworks #and nowadays you're lucky to get 7 comments on ao3 on your fics and 30 reblogs of your fanart on tumblr #everyone used to be so passionate and excited to share their interests and make friends where now it's like. reblogging gifs to your blog #but not engaging with the creator or the other fans #fandom is quietly isolating in a way it never used to be #and that's really sad #it's why i don't really interact with fandom these days because it's boring and not as fun #it feels like less of a community these days and fandom simply isn't as fun if you're not sharing it #maybe it has to do with the rise of seeing passionate interests as cringy or it has to do with how much content we get on streaming service #maybe it has to do with seeing writers and fanartists as being content creators instead of community members #so you don't engage because you think that they should just churn out product without you investing in it #it's hard to know #but i miss the excitement and love and sense of community that used to exist in fandom #and sure it still exists in some fandoms #but most of them are so solitary #i just miss it #oscar talks to himself

As someone who likes gaylor but but became detached, it really turned me off how mainstream Gaylor views required you to disregard excessive amounts of what Taylor has said to be true. Particularly with ATWTMV it really bugged me how some high profile Gaylors accused her of making it up as age gap relationships were topical. Same with people denying she was with John. Like that man is abusive and you’ll aid his agenda because she couldn’t possibly be bi or your ~sources~ couldn’t be wrong

yep! i think the rigidity of opinions and absolute refusal to acknowledge that anything else could possibly be true is really what turned me off in the past couple years. fwiw i know i and a lot of other gaylors had the belief that jm was like The One Real Guy, but i think atw10 was actually a huge catalyst in my shifting mindset even if i didn't realize it at the time. it's frustrating to never be able to take taylor at her word, and i think operating under the guise that someone is lying every time they say anything can pretty easily turn into victim-blaming and just generally getting unreasonably angry at them over things you essentially invented (i've seen this happen countless times and definitely used to get caught up in the cycle). and it's like...i think if this woman is saying she was in these traumatizing and earth-shattering relationships with these men, it feels a little reductive not to be able to take her at her word and believe what she's saying. unfortunately, the way a lot of gaylor rhetoric manifests sort of lends itself to crossing over into these kinds of reductive implications if taken too far (this is true of the antisemitism and biphobia as well). but i also want to caveat that i really hate when everyone who thinks taylor could be queer is painted out to be this way because that's just as bad, not to mention objectively incorrect (not a specific dig at you, anon, just a general point of nuance i think it's important to reiterate).

video game towns/cities are interesting but i think to this day one of my favourite ones to run around in, and not a fondness for the town/city itself, is the one in the last story PURELY because you can run into the streetsigns and hanging signs in front of the shops and the like and the character will smack his head into them and have a specific hurt animation when you do that and stumble/slow down for a little bit

#like yes when you can walk into shop signs is fun and the physics yes yes but when you do it and the character goes 'ouch!' BETTER #anyway something like that does way more to bring me into a game world than any graphics i'll be honest #things like uuh we were watching a comparison vid of m.prime for original and remaster #and things like beam shots light up the surrounding area in the original but not the new one - it looks detached from the world #or walking through beams of light brighten the screen the same way it would if you did that irl but not in the remaster #like those bring you into the world and while minor removing them make you feel less like a part of that world and #idk i just like it when small details like that are put in
