also re: ingo being The most powerful warden, like, thinking about it. to start with, just in terms of numbers, does anyone besides the protag ever match him? nobody among the wardens can even beat his initial fight number of 3, let alone the full team of the training grounds fights.

hang on i just double checked and yeah. even among the galaxy team members, the max anyone there reaches is 5—the protag counterpart and kamado in postgame fights, and then also beni and zisu in the highest-tier path of tenacity battles. everyone else has 4 or fewer. the only person in hisui who matches ingo for numbers is fucking volo, the final story battle, the last time you ever fight him.

and then you've got levels. on account of the variant horde-type battles the clans use, all the "accessory" pokemon there tend to be significantly weaker than their main. now in the final-stage, people do sometimes break past the max level of 77 w/ 5 efforts in ingo's tougher team—the clan leader's main eeveelution are at 75 and will have effort 7, as will zisu and kamado's teams in the galaxy team path of tencity. kamado makes it to 79 and is, as far as i can tell, the only person to beat that lvl 77 number. so there do exist battles that are tougher than ingo's—though i think it's probably worth keep in mind that in-universe, this is you fighting these guys for the like 5th+ time while they've been aggressively training to beat you. ingo will break out his "tougher" team the like, 3rd time you fight him.

BUT WAIT!! THERE'S MORE!!

ingo doesn't participate in path of tenacity battles with his clan, but his 3 regular battle teams (normal, tougher, and alphas) are not the only ways you can fight him! that's right i'm talking about the PATH OF SOLITUDE. if you fight ingo in path of solitude with certain nobles, starters, and also "baby" or very weak pokemon because fuck you i guess, he will break out pokemon in the range of 80-84. i am fairly certain this is the highest level of any pokemon battle you can have in this game. please look at this fucking matchup:

oh you want to path of solitude with your cute little bnuuy?? lol. lmao. dusknoir also knows a recovery move fwiw. and has completely maxed efforts. in case you weren't having a bad enough time already.

but wait!! we're not done!!

ok so ingo doesn't use that variant horde battle format that the rest of the clans use, right? excepting the alpha battle. well that's not quite true. if you do path of solitude with any of the pla box legendaries—i.e. palkia, dialga, giratina, arceus—he'll also use 3 at once against you in that battle, each one being either a hisui or a modern sinnoh (if it's giratina) starter line. with palkia and dialga, these guys are lvl 50 each. for giratina they're 60.

would you like to guess what he uses to fight you if you're using arceus?

level fucking 87. all at the same time. with max evs. they also have ideal natures for their attacks, y'know, just. in case you were wondering. in case you thought he was going to show you any kind of mercy whatsoever.

i can only assume this is his way of venting some frustration about the whole spacetime kidnapping thing.

Some “mistranslated” words/qualities I found on the wiki for Twisted Wonderland.

As I was watching a playthrough of Twisted Wonderland on YouTube, I came across the part wherein Trey explains the qualities of The Great Seven and the quality or shape of one’s soul must be to have been sorted into their respective dorm.

I went on Wikipedia to research the qualifications of a character and, of course, found the whole, “founded on the unrelenting efforts of the Beautiful Queen, founded on the tenacity of the King of Beasta, etc.”

As I was doing this, I noticed that a lot of them were practically just words that were synonyms of each other and wondered whether or not it was a mistake on tha translator’s parts, or just the game running out of adjectives to base their dorms off of lolol

Turns out, some words/qualities were “mistranslated” to fit the narrative better(?) The “mistranslated” words are synonyms to what they’re supposed to be, but are not quite correct or accurate to the kanji that is shown in the introduction Trey does, nor the text in the Wikipedia post.

An example would be for the Savanaclaw dorm.

On the Wiki page, it says that it was, “founded on the tenacity of the King of Beasts…” but the kanji used is, “不屈.” Trey pronounces the word as, “fukutsu” which better translates to “Fortitude” rather than Tencity (which although has many variations, the closest way to write it like it was in the game would be , “不撓不屈” (pronounced as Fudōfukutsu) and is more related to the words; “inflexibility” or “obduracy”)

Another example could be taken from Dorm Octanivelle.

“Founded on the compassion of the Sea Witch…” with the kanji; “慈悲.” This kanji is again pronounced by Trey as, “jihī.” Combined with its pronunciation and spelling, it’s accurately translated to, “Mercy.” A close synonym to compassion, but still carries a different nuance. Other terms that have this kanji’s variance and pronounced similarly are; “Benevolence,” “Merciful,” and “Willfulness.”

There are other dorms that have other spelling variations, and some remain like what they are on the wiki page but I just thought it was interesting to grasp their nuance. I didn’t make this post to claim that the translators on the site are “wrong” (hence why I enclosed the word “mistranslated” in quotes) but merely to expound on possible new grounds one may be able to stumble upon by these other translations. Also, some of the translations were probably kept that way since some of their other similar translations just don’t quite fit the narrative.

(You can search up Diasomnia’s trait/quality if you want to see how ridiculous/unfitting the more accurate translation sounds like lolol I mean, it’s correct, it just sounds…not right)

I also understand that maybe the op was basing their research off of Chinese characters as, you know, kanji is just borrowed Chinese characters, so in that regard, maybe they’re right. And accurate.

I was conducting research in the hopes to make a twst oc, after all.

I’m a firm believer in conducting somewhat thorough research, so you can use this to aid yourself if you ever find yourself wanting to sort your own oc into any of the dorms lmao

Regardless, what binds them by groups isn’t the qualities enlisted by The Great Seven, but the qualities that Trey has discussed with Ace, Deuce, Grimm, and the MC. So take this as you will, I just thought it was interesting and worth noting.

I hope you look forward to my future Twisted Wonderland “original” character designs~! When I do get around to making them（。-＿-。）

Update!! Since the jp Cluster came out, (which I think is official Disney(?) though I’m not sure), they do use the same translations on the wiki page, so just follow that lol.

I won’t be deleting this post (even though this info might be considered, “wrong,” it’s not really “wrong” per say. It’s just that they chose what is more accurate to the needs of the narrative. But see it however you will) just because I think that looking at this post as a way to further deepen you understanding for the context of the forms’ qualities would be great material.
