Riley runs into their wife in the hallway, and they stare for a bit at her. "It's super hot so I'm wearing my cami top." Stephanie says, blushing as Riley grins. "You look gorgeous, Steph. Like always." They say softly, taking Stephanie's hands and kissing them. "You look gorgeous too, Ri." Stephanie says, kissing Riley's neck and making them blush.

Stephanie glances at Nancy's bedroom door, hearing her snoring softly, before grinning at her spouse. "So, our nooboo's fast asleep. What do you say we take advantage of that and woohoo?" She asks. "I'd love to." Riley says softly, and they head to their room with Stephanie. The two of them woohoo and Riley snuggles up to Stephanie afterwards, drifting off to sleep.

Since the festival of youth was happening in the neighborhood, Riley and Stephanie got options to give Nancy a blessing of youth. Both of them give her a blessing, and Nancy grins after bowing with her mama and then her parent. “Thanks mama and Ri.” She says.

Plus, Riley pulls Stephanie close for a kiss, and Nancy grumbles as she sees the sigh. “Yuck!” She says loudly, but smiles as she sees how her mama’s eyes light up as she looks softly at Riley, and Riley has a soft smile on their face as they look back at Stephanie. Nancy thinks their kissing is gross and mushy, but she also finds it sweet how much her parents love each other. 😊

Nancy then asks her mom a question about the moon being a cheese, and Stephanie grins. "No, silly billy." She says. "Oh okay. Hamuera* told me his theory that it's a large sponge that they take pieces from to make kitchen sponges so its probably that." She says, and Stephanie laughs. "Of course." She says teasingly.

Plus, here's a photo of an updated chicken version of the Takamura family that Nancy has in her room. The brown chick representing her baby brother Haruo. Also, a photo of Haruo sneaking off to the toilet to splash in it. I used to do the same as a toddler so I can't judge him too much. 😅

Also here's the link to the post with Hamuera as a kid telling his own mom Luna the moon is a sponge theory. He doesn't believe it anymore but as a kid he definitely thought he was on to something. 😄

Stephanie tucks a sleepy as heck Nancy into bed, and then kisses her before heading off to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Riley comes in to check on Nancy too, and they also tuck her in and kiss her before heading out to the hallway to go to their room.

I then switched to the Takamura household in Mt. Komorebi. I haven’t played/posted them in a bit so to recap:

It’s Stephanie Takamura (née Whitaker) with the red hair, her spouse Riley in the green blazer, and their daughter Nancy who’s a kid sim. Riley and Stephanie met when Stephanie moved to Mt. Komorebi to become a ski instructor and Riley worked as a chef. They fell for each other, moved in together, got engaged, and adopted a baby who they named Nancy because Stephanie can’t get pregnant and they really wanted kids. They then got married in a quiet but sweet ceremony when Nancy was 2, and Stephanie took Riley’s last name. Nancy is part Japanese from one bio parent and part Simerican from another parent, and her bio parents had her pretty young and not in a good financial situation so they gave her up so she could have a good life. Riley was born in Japan but was raised along with their sisters by their parents in Willow Creek, and Stephanie was born and raised in Newcrest by her dads. Nancy looks so much like Stephanie with the same red hair and brown eyes that some sims are surprised when her parents mention she’s adopted. Not that Riley and Stephanie would care if Nancy didn’t look like them because they’d love her anyway, but they find it really sweet how much she looks like Stephanie. Okay, recap finished. 😄 I want them to have one more kid eventually, and now that we have the have science baby/surrogacy option I’m excited to try that for them.

Stephanie kisses her spouse Riley’s cheek, making them blush, before Nancy comes running up to them, finished with her school for the day. “Ri!” She says excitedly, happy to see her parent. “Nan!” Riley replies, picking Nancy up and giving her a bear hug, making her giggle. Stephanie comes over, and Nancy hugs her too. “I love you and Ri so much, mama.” Nancy says as Stephanie snuggles her. “Ri and I love you too.” Stephanie says. “Yeah.” Riley adds, smiling at their nooboo. After talking with her parents for a bit, Nancy decides to play some marbles, and asks them to watch. “Ri, check this out.” She says as she rolls one marble forward and knocks another one away*. “Good job, Nan.” Riley says as Nancy beams at them.

The next morning at the Takamura household, Riley and Stephanie spend time with their kids. Riley's still in a very flirty mood from woohooing with their wife yesterday, so they keep making flirty faces. Stephanie grins as she catches Riley grinning at her as they hold Haruo and she cuddles Nancy. "Ri, why do you keep making faces at mama?" Nancy asks as she snuggles closer to Stephanie. "Oh, because I love her so much and she's so beautiful." Riley says, smiling. "Gross." Nancy jokes, but giggles a bit as her mama blows her parent a kiss.

Later that day, while Stephanie holds Haruo in her arms as he naps, Riley spends time with their oldest daughter. "Ri, can we play our space ship game? You can be the ship and aliens, and I'll be the brave captain and crew." Nancy says excitedly. "Sure, nooboo." Riley says, and they grin and pick up Nancy for a bear hug. Nancy giggles as her parent hugs her and then places her down.

Meanwhile back in Mt. Komorebi, Stephanie and Riley put their kids to bed. Afterwards, Stephanie changes into the lingerie bodysuit she'd bought from Simsa* online and shows it off to her spouse. Riley's eyes widen as they take in their wife. "Steph, you look so good." They say, and Stephanie grins. "Thanks baby." She says before Riley pulls her in for a kiss. "The kids are both fast asleep..." Riley says, and Stephanie grins. "Mx. Takamura, would you want to woohoo?" Stephanie asks, and Riley grins, shaking their head. "I thought you'd never ask, Mrs. Takamura." They say back in a goofy voice, but smile softly at Stephanie.

While Nancy plays with her baby brother Haruo, Riley spends a few minutes with their wife Stephanie. Both Riley and Stephanie got 2 months paid leave to spend time with their nooboo and so they're mostly trying to rest and take care of both kids, and Stephanie's dads are coming over as soon as they can to help out with both kids*. "How are you feeling, honey?" Riley asks. "Good, tired as hell but good. What about you?" Stephanie asks, smiling at her spouse. "Same here I'm exhausted but I'm so happy to be with both my nooboos. It's so crazy to think that we just saw Haruo as a small blob on the ultrasound and now he's here and we can hold him. He's still a blob but a cute blob." Stephanie laughs. "He is, I think he gets that from you." She teases, and Riley grumbles good naturedly before dipping and kissing Stephanie.

Riley and Stephanie get a call that their surrogate Naomi is in labor, and they ask their friends Juliet and Rowan to watch Nancy while they rush to the hospital. They leave the hospital the next day with their baby boy, who they named Haruo Nicholas Takamura. Haruo after Riley uncle on their mom's side and Nicholas after Stephanie's uncle on her papa's side. Stephanie and Riley pick Nancy up from the Okada's house and the four of them head home.

Stephanie takes a quick nap as Riley keeps an eye on both kids, and Nancy glances in wonder at her baby brother, blowing him kisses and lightly tickling his tummy. "Ri?" She asks quietly. "Yeah?" Riley says. "Haruo's cute but is he supposed to look like a potato?" Riley grins. "All babies do a little bit. You did too when mama and I brought you home, so you and Haruo are both my little potatoes." They say, and Nancy grins. Stephanie gets up after her nap, and tells Riley to go and sleep while she watches the kids. Riley agrees, and they slump off to bed to get some rest while Stephanie picks up Haruo and snuggles him before kissing his forehead.

Meanwhile in Mt. Komorebi, Stephanie has a day off, so she spends as much time as she can with her nooboo, Nancy. After weeks of deciding, she and her spouse Riley decided to get a surrogate a few months ago, and they were prepping for their second baby to be here any day. Stephanie checks in with Nancy once she finishes her homework. "So, your baby sibling will be here any day now." She says, and Nancy nods, a serious look on her face. "I know, mama. I'm ready to be a big sister." She says, and Stephanie smiles, leaning down to pinch Nancy's cheek. Nancy grumbles good naturedly but smiles as her mom picks her up and gives her a bear hug. Riley comes home a while later, and they rest for a few minutes before spending time with Nancy, checking in on her as well. “Ri, will it be really crazy when my new baby sibling comes?” Nancy asks as they cloud gaze outside. “Honestly, it will be at first but we’ll get use to it in time, Nan and you’ll grow to love having a sibling. I just want you to know that mama and I love you so, so much. We might get busy with the baby for a couple of months when they get here, but you’ll always be our first and oldest nooboo.” Riley says gently. “I know, Ri. I love you and mama so so much too, and I’ll be there for my baby sibling.” Nancy says, and she reaches out and takes her parent’s hand, and Riley smiles. The two of them head inside, where they sit with Stephanie at the Kotatsu, and recall how their day had gone.

Meanwhile back in the Takamura household the next morning, Nancy is the first one awake. She reads in her bed for a bit before heading outside and talking to the plants that her parent Riley grows. “How’s the sun today?” She asks one plant, and “You’re getting so tall!” She tells another, patting them lightly and smiling. Her parents call her inside to wash up for breakfast, and Nancy does so.

She then heads to the kitchen, and smiles at her parent Riley. “Good morning Ri.” She says. “Good morning, Nan.” Riley says, smiling. “Ri, can you please make the dip eggs today? They taste so good and I wanted to eat them since yesterday.” She asks. “Sure nooboo.” Riley says, smiling at their daughter’s way of saying sunny side up eggs*. “Thank you.” Nancy says, dramatically clasping her hands to her chest the way she saw a cartoon character do on tv. “You get your mama’s drama queen-ness, you know, and also her cuteness.” Riley teases, and Stephanie, who’s sitting at the Kotatsu, makes a playful face. “Hey.” She says, smiling as she eyes Riley. Stephanie had some amazing woohoo with Riley last night, and they’re both still in a very lovey dovey mood this morning. Riley places the platter of eggs and toast on the Kotatsu, and everyone grabs a plate and digs in. Nancy sighs happily as she takes a bite of her food, and Riley smiles as they look at their nooboo, feeling a rush of affection and love.

Riley, Stephanie, and Nancy have a late lunch together, and Nancy sits and listens to her parents talk as she eats. She chimes in with some stories about her school, and Riley grins as Nancy tells them about her new math teacher who's pretty cool, and her art classes. "I'll bring home more of my masterpieces soon." Nancy says in a goofy fancy voice. "Great, Riley and I look forward to it." Stephanie replies in the same fancy tone. Plus, Stephanie compliments Riley on their cooking. "It's so good, babe." She says, and Riley's eyes soften. "Thanks honey." They say. "Yeah, it's good, Ri." Nancy adds. "Thanks, nooboo." Riley says, ruffling Nancy's hair.

Later on, Nancy makes a mess outside the house with some flour and chocolate syrup she snuck out from the kitchen. Stephanie catches her, and Nancy's eyes widen. "Nancy Mei* Takamura." Stephanie says, her voice serious. "Yes, mama?" Nancy says, trying not to panic at the use of her full name. "Nooboo, you know it's not right to waste food, and make a mess outside. I want you to clean this up, okay?" Nancy nods. "I wasn't trying to waste it, mama. I just wanted to make an outdoor art project." She says earnestly. Stephanie suppress a smile. "Still, this stuff is for food, okay?" Nancy nods, and she begins to clean up her mess while her mama takes the chocolate syrup and flour inside. After Nancy cleans up her mess, she comes inside and washes up before grudging starting her homework. Stephanie helps her out, and that helps speed up the process and they make silly jokes together to make it less boring.

The next afternoon, Nancy plays doctor with her bear toy, Clawdine. “Okay Ms. Fluffington, let me do a check up to see what’s wrong.” Nancy says in the best grown up voice she can muster. Nancy does a full checkup, using her toy stethoscope, and diagnoses Clawdine with brrr-itis. “Okay, I’m going to give you a shot to help you feel better.” She says, patting her bear before using the syringe to pretend to give it a shot, and then applying a bandage from her doctor set.

Stephanie grins as she eyes her daughter, who pats her bear on the head before giving her a piece of candy. “She’s so sweet, Ri.” She says to her spouse Riley, who nods in agreement as they cook some Burmese samosa soup on the stove. “She goes after you.” Stephanie adds, making Riley grin. “You think I’m sweet?” They ask teasingly, and Stephanie rolls her eyes but grins. “Duh, babe. Remember when we were dating and I got my period when I was at your place? You went out to buy me tampons, and got me chocolate and chips and put on a feel-good Winterfest movie* so I could feel less crappy and snuggled with me the whole night. Plus, so many other things and that’s part of why I love you.” Stephanie adds, her eyes bright as she looks at her spouse. “I love you too, Steph.” Riley says, and they feel sappy as they smile back at their wife. Plus, Nancy comes up to the the two of them and chats with them while checking to see what her parent is making, getting excited as she smells the food. “Hurry up, Ri, my tummy is growling like heck.” Nancy jokes as she pats her stomach, and Riley grins. “It’s almost done, Nan. Just a few more minutes.” They say, and Nancy makes a jokingly grumpy face.
