They could’ve gone the cliche and easy route of making Beelzebub a mean and egotistical person who made fun of Loona as a way to add tension…

But no, they didn’t. They made her a nice girlfriend and a nice person. I’m pleasantly surprised by that. She’s quickly become one of my favorites. It actually made me really happy because I hate that trope so much. Say what you want about Helluva Boss’s writing and story choices, but this was a very good one. Not to mention it really did a lot for Loona’s character and her relationship with Blitzo. Call it filler, say it wasn’t worth the wait, but this was a great episode.

Beelzebub’s actions also makes me think about classism in the upper class demon circles.

We see characters like Stella and Paimon who can’t stand being around imps and the lower class.

But then we see one of the 7 sins choosing to engage with them and even treating them as equals. They don’t work for her, they’re guests. She hosts the party. She wants to provide to and serve them. She, like Stolas and Ozzie, is also dating someone of lower class.

It’s just interesting to me.

Stella is ready to kill her husband for hurting her reputation by sleeping with an imp. Yet someone in a far higher rank literally bowed to said imp after he bested them in a drinking contest.

Paimon didn’t go to the circus with his son because he didn’t wanna be near poor people. Meanwhile another demon royal wished their party of hellhounds and imp was bigger.

She cupped his cheeks softly, making him look even more cute in the dim light of the room. The only other thing that was distracting in every sense was the mess of different reflections of glitter in transparent components, but Soobin couldn’t be more focused on anything but making sure he wasn’t as red as a rose and the way his best friend was chewing at her lip, so concentrated on delicately placing her fingers on his skin. A very childish yet adorable smile adorning her features. — I told you to stay quiet!

When she called him at 10:00 pm, practically begging him to come for help; this isn’t what he had in mind, nor did he expected other stuff, but surely, being a model wasn’t one of them and his body just had to react to her. To her touch. Because what a big boy he was with a crush he didn’t want to confess yet. After shooting her a playful glare and a huff, he shifted closer. Just an inch, because he really did wonder if she could hear his loud and thumping heartbeat.

Another soft dab at his cheeks, she inched closer to his cheekbones. Her minty breath suddenly grabbing his attention. The way she softly touched his skin while applying layers of glitter was as calming as a breeze, something unexpected for him. — You really suit this concept, Soobin.

Now she was grabbing his chin, her gaze locked into his. Soobin was mesmerized by the way her eyes shined even brighter than the particles she had spread all over his cheekbones and the ones who glimmered behind her in the moonlight. Her gaze was something that always made him flush; the way her round and big eyes just softened and looked at him trough long lashes and a half smile. — I’m sure you’re going to steal a lot of hearts.

She said eagerly while grabbing another jar this time with a blue tint to it, leaving his chin and face to rest for a bit. Playing with the jelly like texture of the glitter, she absentmindedly let her thoughts out of her head. — Just like you stole mine.

Wait.

Wait.

What?

She widened her eyes as she let the thought of what she had just said sink in, while Soobin snatched his look onto her figure again. She was no longer holding the jar but her sweater paws were covering her mouth; her face covered into the prettiest shade of pink, Soobin could ever describe. Is this how he always looked? And of course, he couldn’t let this one go, he couldn’t make an excuse or thought he misheard because those same big eyes were expecting an answer: silently but still pleading to hear something from him.

He did what his brain thought it was best to convey his feelings. He positioned himself closer to her and brough his plush plump lips to her cheek, kissing it softly but just for long enough to feel the warmth of her skin and the butterflies in his own stomach. As he separated himself a little bit, she reached for her cheek, still having the same bambi eyes.

— I always thought I would confess first. — He said while looking for her free hand, gently caressing it with his thumb, he could feel the heat in his face and neck but it didn’t matter to him that much right now, he always wanted to hear that. To feel this.

—Yeah, me too…— She chuckled to herself, as she intertwined their fingers this time; causing the boy to relax even more; her touch was like Midas. — But I guess I couldn’t hold it anymore.

They looked at each other and smiled, just as the clock stroked midnight, a new love story had just started.

My initial impression when I watched Eclipse for the first time (and what I still believe) is that Stella knew full well that Ray didn't humilate himself on purpose in the bank when they were kids. I always read it as Stella knowing how embarrased and ashamed Ray would feel for having wet himself, and instead of trying to console him and tell him that it was okay, she let him be the hero instead. Because even though in Ray's memory he thought that he was being 'John Lennon, James Bond, Joe Namath, all rolled into one', I don't think Stella actually fell in love with an illusion at all. Like Fraser said, 'I am willing to gamble that Stella looked beyond that one incident and saw the whole person'. I think she always saw Ray for who he really was, but Ray's own insecurities about himself made him believe that she had to be with him based on a lie. I think the person who doesn't see Ray clearly is Ray himself. He has such a low sense of himself that he can't imagine her falling for anything but a con. He can't imagine that Stella simply fell in love with little Ray Kowalski, because who the hell is even is that? He's convinced himself that he's been playing the part of 'the hero' all these years that he doesn't really see that he has actually become one. The person who recieved all those citations that Fraser recounts wasn't a lie or a con, it was Ray Kowalski, a good policeman, someone who one would be proud to call a partner and a friend. In my opinion Ray's biggest con was conning himself into believing he isn't good enough just the way he is.

Okay, so after what happened in Season 2 Episode 1 of Helluva Boss, I can safely say that I now despise Stella with a passion, almost as much as I hate Valentino (he's on a completely different level). I do think Stella has a cool design and an awesome voice actress, but I still hate her personality and how she acts.

HOWEVER, if you have an AU or a different interpretation of Stella where she is not a total bitch, I will deem it as an exception from how I see her.

One interesting angle I’m noticing when theorizing about where Helluva Boss might be going:

It’s pretty easy to guess that the consistent thru-line of Season 2 is going to be Blitzo being forcibly confronted with the emotional baggage and trauma he’s been repressing/running from his entire adult life, and his ever-more-rapidly deteriorating relationship with Stolas.

After the emotional sledgehammer that was ‘He can get hurt…?’ in Western Energy and getting shut out HARD by Barbie Wire in Unhappy Campers and the next two episodes looking to focus on Fizzarolli, it seems that we are primed to be diving into the very ugly parts of Blitzo’s backstory.

Meanwhile, we’ve gotten a number of hints this season that Stolas is preparing to break things off with Blitzo completely. Most notably through his study of ‘Asmodean Crystals’, which allow demons to freely travel to Earth, followed by Stolas apparently setting up a meeting with Ozzie that gets hinted to in Western Energy. Basically, it seems that Stolas is looking for a way to cut off Blitzo’s dependence on him by providing him an alternative to using his Grimoire. Thereby allowing him to end their relationship without crippling Bltizo’s livelihood. Not helped at all by Unhappy Campers giving us our first look at Asmodean Crystals in detail and showing that one of those would actually be really handy for Blitzo.

And on top of all this, it seems that after Western Energy, Stella and Andrealphus will be developing some kind of plot for Stella to seize Stolas’s wealth, power and influence. Which I think we can assume will involve trying to isolate and cut off Stolas from allies, friends and loved ones. In fact, I imagine their most likely scheme will be to drive a wedge between Stolas and Octavia, working to separate the two and get Octavia under their influence. That way, when they do have Stolas killed and Octavia inherits everything, Stella (or rather, her brother) will indirectly have control over it via her influence over her daughter.

So with ALL that in mind, it seems we have a developing plot for things to go REALLY bad for Blitzo and Stolas by the end of the season. We’ve got Blitzo being forced to confront a LOT of his long-repressed trauma AND Stolas getting ready to break off their relationship which is sure to seriously mess them both up emotionally, like I mean totally wreck Blitzo given what we already know about him. All of which will likely inadvertently be playing right into the hands of Stolas’s scheming ex-wife and brother-in-law’s plot to strip him of everything he has and loves before ultimately killing him.

But here’s where things get interesting. Because I think there is going to be a VERY significant wildcard to all this, or rather two wildcards, that NONE of the major players in all this, be it Blitzo and Stolas thinking their relationship is over or Stella and Andrealphus plotting to destroy Stolas, will be expecting:

Loona and Octavia.

See, these sorts of plot developments are exactly where a blossoming friendship between Loona and Octavia could start factoring in some very interesting ways.

Like Stolas’s whole plan to likely break off his relationship with Blitzo probably isn’t counting on their respective daughters having struck up a friendship largely independent of anything their fathers have going on. And given the clear tunnel-vision we’ve seen from Stolas when it comes to Blitzo and tendency to not realize what his daughter has going on (see Seeing Stars), I think it’s easy to imagine Stolas being entirely oblivious to Octavia having potentially struck up a friendship with Loona following Seeing Stars. And given Loona’s rather dysfunctional relationship with her own father, I think it’s easy to assume that Blitzo would likewise have no idea of their friendship as well.

As I discussed in a previous post, I think it’s very easy to imagine that the ever-more-rapid collapse of Blitzo’s and Stolas’s relationship will conversely bring Loona and Octavia closer together. Blitzo’s and Stolas’s personal issues regarding their relationship are almost certain to ripple out into affecting their other relationships, namely both of their strained, dysfunctional and overall very shaky relationships with their respective daughters. And with Seeing Stars showing that Loona and Octavia both deeply relate to their shared issues with their fathers, it really only makes sense that they would turn to each other for help and connection.

Factor in other details like Loona and Octavia having both notable parallels and contrasts to their fathers which could make the pair a striking platonic foil to Stolitz, as well as a surprising amount of celestial symbolism and imagery connecting the two, and I think it feels extremely likely that we’re going to be seeing Loona and Octavia becoming quite close in the future.

Which in turn could have some quite interesting shakeups for Blitzo’s and in particular Stolas’s attempts to cut off their relationship. Like imagine Stolas has just ended his ‘contract’ with Blitzo and taken back the Grimoire in exchange for giving Blitzo an Asmodean Crystal. He’s convinced himself that ‘it’s over’ and that ‘this is for the best’ and that he’s never going to see or be reminded of Blitzo again. Only to suddenly walk in on his daughter hanging out with Blitzo’s daughter and maybe also swiping the Grimoire to go hang out on Earth together.

And then we have how this could affect Stella’s and Andrealphus’s schemes, which is where things get really fun.

At a glance, I think the most likely framework for Stella’s relationship with her daughter is that she ‘cares’, but in a fairly selfish, superficial ‘she’s MY daughter’ sense. And given how little (or rather, not at all) we’ve seen the two interact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Stella thinks she knows her daughter well but in reality knows almost nothing. In particular, she likely would find it basically inconceivable that Octavia would be friends with a hellhound like Loona.

With that in mind, I think it’s pretty easy to imagine a scenario wherein Stella (and by extension, Andrealphus) base a whole plan on the assumption that Octavia has no close friends or people she can rely on outside of her family. A plan which proceeds to completely fall apart when Octavia goes to Loona (and by extension, I.M.P.) for help.

Stuff like this is why I am very interested to see where the story is going to be taking Loona and Octavia. Everything we saw at the end of Seeing Stars really painted these two as important to each other. That this is going to be significant to both these characters going forward.

According to Vivzie, Loona is apparently going to have quite a bit to do in the back-half of Season 2. Add onto this the fact that episode 8 is titled ‘The Full Moon’. While a lot of people have connected this title with how Blitzo and Stolas have been meeting on ‘the Full Moon’ of each month, I have to point out that we have also have a character literally named phonetically after the moon! And given all the existing parallels and contrasts Loona and Octavia have to their respective fathers, I think it’s very easy to imagine this episode focusing on BOTH.

As in, imagine if this episode were to juxtapose a big, dramatic breakup between Blitzo and Stolas, with Loona and Octavia cementing a friendship between them?

okay now that i have the information, this is a CarLando recap of Singapore gp 2023:

1. lando slapping carlos's ass and carlos's response was “ that was hard” , followed by a blush and momentarily losing track of whatever he was saying.

2. p1 and p3 in quali and cue to lando pinching carlos's boobie to lando brushing his hips against carlos's and cue to carlos following him like he's mezmerized.

3. lando replying “ vamos" under carlos's twitter post and “ CARLOOOOOOOS” under his instagram post. (we all think he's whining for carlos but alright-)

4. the carlando hug. it's beautiful. it's mezmerizing. I've seen it too many times. it's poetic.

5. the podium interviews before the celebrations with carlos and lando mentioning each other more often than they're breathing, the cooldown room where they're just “ ai , ai , ai " and “ oh- oh- oh" (sounded like their foreplay without context). lewis just walks in at the last moment without any background context and the sky commentators went like “ alright, if this is how the reporting for the race happens, we'd want this informative reporting every race weekend ;)) ” [ also cue to them recreating the “ ai ” and “ oh ” ]

6. the carlando podium. that spraying technique from lando onto carlos's mouth and carlos sticking his tongue out like that. and the way carlos's practically chugs champagne onto lando's mouth (for second one reference: check the video where fred is drowning carlos in champagne, it's for a very split moment , but you can see it )

7. the post race press conference with carlando in their married domestic bubble + third wheel lewis. also cue to CarLando sitting together far away from lewis and carlos showing lando something which causes them to smile and get giddy over idk, and carlos following lando quickly in the most babygirl way ever. 🏃🏾‍♀️

8. carlos's instagram selfie post dedicated to CarLando solely + an insta story of the same post, an insta story solely dedicated to an hd aesthetic picture of their hug, cue to lando resharing the selfie post on his own story with “ #CALANDO” as well as resharing the hug™ on his story, and posting the CarLando selfie on his p2 celebration post. a joint instagram post. 😏

9. to mclaren and ferrari admin celebrating carlos and lando. [ mclaren commenting “ vamos” and scuderia ferrari commenting “ good job lando :) ” ]

12. carlos's radio message of “ gap to lando every lap" and carlos intentionally slowing down just enough to keep lando within drs range , lando understanding the signal. when told by his race engineer about the gap (0.8) carlos goes like “ it's on purpose ”. the amount of precision, trust, teamwork and respect. freaking insane.
