Hello! I would like to ask you about your cute child, the Script.

In his biography, it was written that he has a fear of dust, I wondered if this had anything to do with the dust that remains after the death of monsters in the original universe? Or is it related to something else?

Omg, hi there, dear anonimus! Thank you for your question, I appreciate it a lot!

You are absolutely right about the thing that Script is afraid of dust, because of two factors: it can BE or can LOOK LIKE the dust of deceased monsters. 

In fact, kid is afraid of death. And he is afraid of it because of his origin. 

So sad to tell this, but I had to show this in Script's Comic, and I have needed fragments drawn as digital sketches, but I'm afraid it'll took me a long time to finish them or maybe I won't be able to do this at all. Though, I can still show you and tell a little more about this.

___ For short explanation, Template is in unstable state (and so his powers) after "Somewhere Else" event of his author @unu-nunu-artu-nunu-art (thank you for all inspiration you gave me, Unu!!!). He remembers that he left his frienemy Pale on his own, and knowing this little chaotic bunch of bones, can't do anything but check him.

He is VEEERY tired, but sees that Pale is asleep, and tries to keep his mind calm and stable, preparing a plan of later dialogue with Pale, about their little deal, based on sheduling periods when white skeleton CAN absorb AUs. I must notice the fact that Pale by gathering piles of clothes to his part of Anti-Void, also collects DUST of dead monsters(from genocide or neutral timelines). 

Then, accident happened. You can say, both Template and Pale fucked up at this moment. So, in the end we have a mix of Pale's inks, Template's broken grid and paint that was on his graphical screen AAAAND of course monsters' dust, right on the floor. 

And since all this happened in such a wild place like anti-void, it's like the space of superposition for most of inanimate objects. In the monster dust it saved not only pieces of shattered souls, but also last memories before death. Their fear and will to live... Tho, after some time Script forgot about every scary thing he saw in the moment of birth(and creepy Template's face I didn't show here too). So, he remembers everything subconsciously, but he himself will never be able to understand the reason.

🐱 Nightwing #110 rambling AKA wailing about how Dick and Jon love Damian

backtracking to 2 weeks ago in Titans #6 for a sec when Dick expressed how he wanted to look for Damian - it was nice to get a nod of Dick being concerned, but i was a bit bummed he didn't start a search. and i get it, the world needs saving, Dick's gotta do what he has to!!

Damian means the world to Dick!! the Titans can take care of the literal world without him for a bit!!

but ykw it's fine since this issue proved me wrong, and Dick looks for Damian anyway!! 😭 basically "the world's still in danger but my brother needs me right now" this was just the start of the issue and i fell to my knees THEY BOTH REALLY DROPPED EVERYTHING FOR DAMIAN

the part where they plan to wait out Damian's match was so funny to me because Dick keeps repeating to Jon that they shouldn't engage, but then Dick just goes "NEVERMIND i'm going in" 😭 he couldn't stand watching Damian be hurt anymore i'm weeping

with context this is actually so sad for Damian orz otherwise i just wanted to say i love these drawings!! it's just a really cool page to me - i love the posing, especially in the hands/claws!! the intense expressions!! also so efficient in showing how the match escalates with Damian quickly overpowering Gail (along with seeing Jon's dread 🙁)

Megamind Rules / Megamind Vs The Doom Syndicate is NOT made by AI

Listen y'all what we're NOT going to do is make shit up and accuse the writers of Megamind Rules / Megamind Vs The Doom Syndicate of using AI to make the scripts. I've been following them on twitter since before the show was even announced; they are against AI as it directly impacts their livelihoods and there was an entire team of writers for the show/movie. Just because you don't like the concept or animation isn't enough reason to just blatantly lie; Brent Simons, Alan Schoolcraft, Eric Fogel, and the rest of the team for sure put their hearts into it. It's not their fault they got such a small budget that makes it look crunchy. The Doom Syndicate were also ALWAYS a concept that existed; they were enemies removed from the original film late enough that they're all over the Art Of book and the 2010 video games. And YES Megamind is isolated and awkward, but the existence of the Doom Syndicate in his past is NOT impossible by any means-- it is entirely possible to feel absolutely alone in a large group of people that make you feel inferior or unsafe. When he said in the movie "it was me and Minion against the world" what he means is Minion was his main support growing up. It would be impossible to have no adults in his life even isolated in a prison, and other villains would absolutely be trying to use his smarts to their advantage. Again, just because the animation is crunchy is no reason to just make shit up and blame the writers of using AI; perhaps the AI is picking up that plot because THIS CONCEPT ALWAYS EXISTED and has fueled countless fanfiction and fan rp blogs that said AI models stole from. :) Thanks for playing!

idk why I keep seeing people say who they're gonna "pick" in AC Shadows. They are BOTH protagonists. It's not like Odyssey or Valhalla. It's like Syndicate.

Spent last few days working on the script for Chapter 6 (which I'm now editing so, highlights coming soon). In the meantime, here's a sort of masterpost of things concerning possible game mechanics for future VN builds

First things first, the visual novel will be kinetic. Meaning, no choices or story branches. Linear story telling. Perhaps a bit unusual when VN killer feature is the ability to choose your own path...but, I recognize writing multiple stories within one would be too taxing for me and I probably won't be good at it. Plus, some of the classics when it comes to VNs are kinetic, and people love them for their stories and characters.

However, it won't be just a book with pictures and music either. Some of the mechanics I'd like to try and implement to richen the gaming experience are:

Turn based, RPG-style battles.

I'm taking most inspiration from the first Darkest Dungeon game (and bits of Star Rail here and there), so the concept I imagined so far is rather similar.

You'll be able to play a party ranging from one to four characters (the main ones), each with their unique role and skillset: Tord, a tank/damage dealer hybrid; Edd, a buffer (but like, the OP one); Tom, a debuffer, multiple target specializing on DOTs (damage over time); Matt, sustain/damage dealer hybrid.

Each will have: a basic attack, and around 2 skills that require spending blood (action points). They will also have something similar to DD's sanity meter, that could build over time spent in unnecessary/avoidable battles, or by specific enemy attacks. If it goes up high enough, the character ends up "malfunctioning" in ways specific to them and their playstyle.

There will be ways to lower this "sanity meter" down to normal. As well as ways to acquire passive buffs, by finding items at specific locations. Probably no leveling system, but I'll try to research the possibility of it in renpy along with other things.

I'd like to have these battles happen in one chapter. So like, you go one chapter with some number of battles, then next one is "resting time" (no battles), then next chapter has battles again. And it will have at least two boss fights. Could make it three, if I'll find who could fit that additional boss role XP

Some other game mechanics for when there are no battles:

Random events. Bits of character interaction that aren't essential to main story but could give additional depth to them and the world around. Kind of my way of giving additional replayable content without the need to write branching story arcs XD

Mini games. Little puzzles to better relate to the character experience. Sort of, experience what they are experiencing in the moment. Chapter 3 already has one in the script, I'll search for other opportunities to insert them.

Unlockable character stories. A suggestion from Nina, to have the backstories I write for the antagonists as unlockable content after beating the game. Kind of like a Gallery, except instead of images you get additional game content XD Perhaps some could get unlocked by completing some sort of in-game challenge, like acquiring a certain number of buff items.
