asked my friends if they were interested in me posting some more stuff about a clan i made after playing clangen a while back.

This is Sandystar and Pantherfoot! Sandystar is the leader of Flintclan, and Pantherfoot is a warrior, they are siblings!! And they both honestly suck.

Art inspired heavily by @plugsockettcats. I was in a dump for a while not knowing how to draw cats, but their art really inspired me to get back into it. Please go give them a follow!!

"Sandystar, you need to stay still,"

The she-cat was aware that the tom was talking to her, but she ignored the ever-playful tone, instead trying to push herself up onto her paws, wincing as she could barely stand on her left hind. "I can't rest," she protested. "The clan needs me."

In truth, ever since Slopefur had died, things have been off-kilter. Everything was shifted to the left by a fur length. Everything had been the same, yet, everything had changed. AutumnClan had been lucky to have no deaths aside from the kits when they first settled, but everycat was now frequently visiting the medicine cat den.

She, herself, was stuck here, having been on a training session with Cinderpaw and Cragpaw when the badger appeared. The apprentices were able to return to camp and get reinforcements, but by the time they had returned, she had lost her first life, the badger mangling her leg almost beyond repair, had it not been for Crowburr.

"You died Sandy. You're allowed to not have the clan need you for a few more sunrises," her friend argued. "We both know the others still have a full nine."

"I..." she trailed off, looking across the camp. Rustkit had been caught trying to sneak out by Blueflight, causing the queen to scold the she-kit before returning to where she was listening to Mintsplash. It was such a normal scene, it had her heart ache as she shook her head. "I can't, Crowburr. Leadership waits for no one."

And with that, she limped out of the cave, back towards her own den.

Helllllooooooo warrior cat fans of Tumblr!

I was bored and decided to share some of my clan's I've been working on!! :) Not everything is entirely finished yet, but I thought it would be cool to show anyways.

Cavernclan: Tough, reliable, hardworking and resilient.

Considered the oldest of the three clan's, Cavernclan is a rather small clan that lives underground in a system of caves and tunnels, due to the rather harsh and barren territory above ground. Cavernclan cats keep to themselves and are considered to be rather antisocial, but stable and well organized. They are very adaptable and have their own unique ways of hunting, fighting, growing herbs, and even basic things like walking and climbing to make up for living underground. Prey is sort of scarce, so to make up for it cats often eat strengthening herbs, berries, and trade with others at gatherings. They are currently being led by Houndstar.

Bayouclan- Relaxed, peaceful, lush, and surprising mysterious.

Currently the largest clan, Bayouclan are a group of cats who live in a lush, dark, and supposedly haunted marshland. Bayouclan cats are considered to be rather peaceful and friendly due to their large variety of prey and vegetation, but to many also come off as lazy. They hunt along and even in the long muddy rivers, despite the possible dangers of crocodiles. The cats are very superstitious and believe that their medicine cats are their spiritual guides, and hold them in very high regard. They are currently being led by Joltstar.

Rotclan- Anxious, unsure, resourceful, and crafty.

The most recent addition to the clan's, Rotclan is a medium sized group of former kittypets and loners who live in the abandoned twolegplace. Rotclan cats are considered to be anxious and unsure, which comes off as cowardly to some cats. They hunt whatever they can, wherever they can. Wether that be in the abandoned houses, the neutral territories, or even trading at gatherings. Rotclan has no official religion or beliefs system yet, and is just starting to create some. Rotclan looks up to the other clan's for advice and guidance. They are currently being led by Sandystar.

other notes:

sandystar survives the initial flood, losing about 3 lives in the process. however he has water in his lungs and ends up dry drowning a few days later

silverdusk is the only medicine cat to survive, of the four that started out. she is a recently graduated apprentice

cloudpond is severely traumatized (they all are) but never really recovers. she struggles with severe depression and anxiety on and off for the rest of her life

amazingly, otterstrike and his four kits (palm, pearl, piper, and plover) all survive. but after the flood he takes his kits and the five of them live as kittypets (until the apprentices get sick of it and come back to clan life)

gullpaw's warrior name is gullcry

all of the older kits die in the flood, as most of them are old enough to swim and thus not given (quite) as much priority as the newer kittens who can't yet swim. rush, paddle, pool, salt, and cone are all less than a moon old during the flood

ripplefern is the only surviving queen. her kits all died in the flood, but she is able to nurse the surviving kittens

tidefang's entire personality changes post-flood. i mean i guess that happens when you watch every cat you love drown in front of you. he is a lot more guarded, snappish, and generally lonely than before

shellthorn is pretty much the Main Guy, and all these stories will (one day) be told from his pov

Ivyfeather my beloved!! Sort of a personal vent character? But also a comfort character.

Tw// Warrior Cats ableism Sandystar is,, not a good leader. She is not only bloodthirsty, but very strict on her children. Ivyfeather, along with her siblings, are Sandystar and Midgeclaw's first and only kits. When Ivyfeather and her siblings were around 11 moons old, the 3 of them and their mentors went to hunt by a thunderpath, causing an unfortunate incident where Ivyfeather was hit by a car, causing both of her legs to be amputated. She was given her warrior name, and immediatly ushered to the elders den, as Sandystar refused to let her own kit become a warrior because of this incident. I'll post more lore stuff about Flintclan later !! But just know that Ivyfeather /will/ get justice, and eventually becomes a warrior, but I cannot tell you the details of that yet.

Crowburr here... looks like Sandystar was right in a way. Ever since Slope' died, things have been wrong. It was just supposed to be a simple patrol around the abandoned Two-Leg structure, where Hillary lives, but instead, they walked into an ambush. Rogues, judging by the franticness of the attack. The scents are also unknown to us.

Blueflight just had kits too. How are we going to explain this? Maybe queens shouldn't be allowed to patrol anymore...

How many leaders/deputies has Grasspelt gone through in his Clan? Does he miss any of them if he can remember any?

Grasspelt has lived through three leaders before Froststar: Sandystar, Lavenderstar, and Gorsestar. Sandystar died of old age while Grasspelt was still in the nursery, so he really doesn’t remember her much at all. Lavenderstar he remembers fondly, as she was, in his words, “a wonderful leader who was taken too soon.” She was a sickly she-cat, and her lives slowly drained as her illness grew worse and worse, eventually dying when Grasspelt was a warrior. Grasspelt often wishes she’d lived longer, as she was ambitious and wouldn’t take any nonsense from any of the other clans, but was fair and kind.

Grasspelt was very close with Gorsestar, seeing as they trained together. Gorsestar was a little younger than Grasspelt, but the two were invaluable friends. Grasspelt was offered the deputy position, but he turned it down, not seeing himself as leader material. So Gorsestar chose a tom named Prickleleg, who served for many seasons before tragically dying of infected battle wounds after chasing off a dog. Grasspelt vaguely remembers Prickleleg, mainly because he was much more strict than Gorsestar or even Lavenderstar. Not cruel, just very set about his way of doing things.

Gorsestar them chose Frostfang, later Froststar, and lived to be fairly old, Grasspelt still being a close friend, before Greencough eventually claimed Gorsestar for good. This devastated Grasspelt, and in his old age he sometimes forgets Gorsestar passed, trotting into the leaders den for a chat before only seeing Froststar.

His son Woollypelt is deputy currently, and Grasspelt pushed him to see Gorsestar and Froststar as role models.
