3. How to check my phone supports esim and is carrier-unlocked
It’s not difficult to figure out whether your phone is carrier-unlocked and supports eSIM or not, as all are shown in your phone’s settings. While your phone’s unlock status is well indicated through the SIM restriction/Network section, your phone’s eSIM capacity is well displayed via your phone’s IME (International Mobile Equipment Identity).
In the section below, we will guide you to check the unlock status and eSIM-capacity of your iOS and Android phones.
3.1 How to check if my iOS device is eSIM compatible and carrier unlocked?
In order to determine whether your iOS device is carrier unlocked and eSIM compatible or not, you will need to:
Check its unlock by
going to Settings> General> About.
scrolling down to view the “Carrier lock” section.
It should say “NO SIM restrictions”, which means that the device is unlocked.
And then check its eSIM capacity by scrolling down to view the “AVAILABLE SIM” (iOS 15 and newer) or “DIGITAL SIM”(older iOS versions) section. It should contain an IMEI under AVAILABLE SIM or DIGITAL SIM, which means that the device is eSIM compatible.
Tumblr media
3.2 How to check if my Android phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked?
In order to confirm that your Android device is carrier unlocked and supports eSIM, you will need to check its unlock status first and then find the “eSIM IMEI” number. Please follow the steps below:
For Samsung devices
Check its unlock status by:
Going to Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet, or other variations depending on brand and model)
Selecting Mobile network (or Cellular network, or other variation depending on brand and model)
Tapping Advanced (if needed) and selecting Choose Network (or Automatically select network, or another variant to open the list of carriers).
If several carriers appear, the chances are that your phone is unlocked and just needs the appropriate SIM card. For further confirmation, continue to the step below.
Removing the old SIM card from your phone and insert the newly activated one from the other carrier. Trying using mobile data to browse the internet but ensuring that Wi-Fi is disabled.
>> If you successfully browsed the internet, your phone is definitely unlocked.
Now, check your phone’s eSIM-compatibility by:
Going to Settings
If in Settings you see a search bar, typing in “IMEI”, and the option “IMEI information” (or similar) should show up (otherwise, you will need to go to About phone> Status).
Tap “IMEI information”
If the “IMEI (eSIM)” is available, it should mean that your device supports eSIM.
Tumblr media
Other Android devices
Check the unlock status in the same way as you do with the Samsung phones
Then, dial *#06# to check the eSIM capacity.
In case your device is eSIM-compatible, you should be able to view your device’s eSIM unique identification number (EID)
Tumblr media
4. FAQs
How to check if my phone is carrier unlocked?
To check your phone’s unlock status, you can do as guided above. Alternatively, you can power down your phone, place a new SIM card (for your new carrier) into the SIM tray on the side of the iPhone, then power the device back on, and make a call to see it’s carrier-unlocked or not. If you’re unsure about your device being locked or unlocked, you can contact your cellular provider about the status of your mobile phone. If, for example, you are still paying off your phone through a mobile contract, it is likely that your phone is locked.
How do I know if my Samsung S20/21 is FE or not?
Tumblr media
What should I do if my phone is not compatible with eSIM? How can I connect to the internet on my travel to Vietnam?
If your phone does not support eSIM technology, you can buy a physical Vietnam SIM Card at Vietnam airport upon arrival or within the country when you are there.

i wish she was selling phone cases for the samsung galaxy s21 and samsung galaxy s22, she sells a lot more for Iphone (13) than samsung (6). Its frustrating not ever being able to find a phone case for my phone that I like. shes also selling cases for iphones made in 2016, I dobut anyone even uses phones that old anymore. she should really update the phone cases and sell ones for newer phones. As a samsung user it pisses me off Iphone's get more stuff, would be nice to have a cooler phone case.

Project 888 - Day 113
Tumblr media
As I enter week 17 of the grind including the Mora grind I started this project with initially, it’s becoming increasingly clear that I’m rapidly closing in on an endpoint here. Today I was able to drop my remaining totals for Freedom, Prosperity, and Transience just below 200 points each. It should still take me a couple weeks from now to finish things off. Maybe a few weeks depending on my situation overseas.
I think I’ll have to rely heavily on Condensed resin over there, as it should make grinding on mobile easier and I most likely won’t have time for more than one play session each day. I mentioned this before, but typically I split my time on Genshin into two sessions: one in the morning and one in the evening. I’‘ll have to change that up while on vacation, but all it should take is condensing resin in the morning so that it doesn’t overflow before I can actually play the game in the evening.
I can probably still collect data and make update posts for Project 888 as well, I’ll just have to adapt a little bit. I should be able to take screenshots while I’m in Genshin on my phone, so I can use those for the inventory updates. And of course I can write posts on my phone as well. I’ll most likely need to keep them short though, for my own sake.
So yeah, I’m thinking more optimistically about my ability to continue grinding on vacation now. I’ll have a new phone at that point as well, a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. It’s basically a previous generation phone but I was able to get it for free under my service plan, and the specs on it are still fairly competitive so it should perform well.

Samsung One UI 6.1 Update With Galaxy AI - 2021-2022 Flagships! Samsung has some big news for folks with certain Samsung Galaxy phones from 2021 and 2022: they're getting an update called One UI 6.1 and some cool new AI features. And guess what? Even though rumours were saying these phones wouldn't have AI, it turns out they will! But there's a catch: the super fancy AI stuff will only be on the flagship phones from 2021, like the Galaxy S21 series and the fancy foldable ones, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. These phones will get features like Google Circle Search and "Magic Rewrite," which lets you tweak how your messages sound with the Samsung Keyboard. Now, for the 2022 flagship phones, like the upcoming Galaxy S22 series and the next foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, along with the Galaxy Tab S8 series, they'll get even more AI tricks. But there's a bummer: if you don't use the Instant Slow-mo feature, you won't be able to slow down videos by long-pressing the screen. It turns out that the chips inside these phones from before 2023—both Exynos and Snapdragon—have limits preventing them from doing instant slow-mo. Here's the list of phones getting the One UI 6.1 update: the recent ones like the Galaxy S21 series, the new ones like Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 (with fewer features), and the ones coming soon in 2022, including the Galaxy S22 series. The update's supposed to drop in early May, but it might only hit Korea at first. Samsung has yet to give a complete plan for when it'll roll out globally, so folks in other places might have to wait a bit longer, maybe until May or later.

Tumblr media
Galaxy S22
S22+
S22 Ultra
Z Fold 4
Z Flip 4
Tab S8
Tab S8 Ultra

Samsung Might Reportedly Discontinue Its Galaxy Note Lineup - www.yitit.com
https://www.yitit.com/samsung-might-reportedly-discontinue-its-galaxy-note-lineup-43747.htm
Samsung has been an important player in the smartphone market who also normalized the trend of big screens. More than a decade ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note series which featured comparatively bigger screens than the rest of the competition. While Apple wasn't keen to increase screen sizes, it did eventually caved in. Now, reports are pointing out that Samsung might be discontinuing the Galaxy Note lineup starting next year.
Samsung Does Not Have Any Plans For Next Year's Galaxy Note Smartphone, Might Add S Pen to the Galaxy S21 Ultra
With the Galaxy Note series, Samsung brought forward a new method to control your smartphone - the S Pen. Classed as best for creativity and precision controls, the S Pen has received plenty of updates over the years. So why is Samsung doing away with its Galaxy Note lineup? Probably due to the ongoing global health crises, Samsung might have decided to forgo its long-running Galaxy Note series in the future.
The report from Reuters coin that Samsung does not have any plans to develop future Galaxy Note smartphones for next year. If the report is anything to go by, what will be the future of the S Pen? In lieu of the given scenario, Samsung will potentially add a stylus to its Galaxy S21 Ultra - the company's high-end smartphone which launches early in the year.
However, the S Pen will not be part of the Galaxy S21 Ultra as a package but will be sold separately. The S Pen, on the other hand, was bundled with the Galaxy Note smartphone every year. Is Samsung trying to pull off an Apple approach with the S Pen?
As for the Galaxy Note team at Samsung, it will not be focusing on the Note devices for next year. Instead, the team will now be giving their attention to foldable smartphones. There's no official word from Samsung, so do take the news with a grain of salt.
Samsung released the Galaxy Note 20 in the second half of this year and since we're all looking forward to the Galaxy S21 now, we might see the S Pen switch soon. As for the empty slot in the second half of the year, it is possible that Samsung will release the Galaxy Fold 3 in the same time frame.
With improvements pouring every year on the Galaxy S and Note series, Samsung has already bridged enough gap between the two series. Henceforth, it will make perfect sense for the company to forego the Note series. However, as mentioned earlier, the word is not official so be sure to take the news with a grain of salt Galaxy Note
What are your words on the scenario? Share your views with us in the comments.

This digital vault allows you to lock away specific apps and files behind an additional layer of authentication, such as a PIN, pattern, or biometrics. It's an ideal solution for safeguarding confidential documents or private photos from prying eyes.
App Permissions and Controls: User-Centric Security The Galaxy S21 FE 5G provides users with granular control over app permissions. You can decide which apps have access to specific features or data, granting or revoking permissions as needed. This empowers users to protect their privacy by ensuring that apps only access the information necessary for their functionality.
Samsung DeX: A Secure Desktop Experience Samsung DeX is a feature that transforms your smartphone into a desktop-like computing experience when connected to a monitor or TV. While this enhances productivity, it also extends security benefits. DeX ensures that your work environment is as secure as your smartphone, maintaining Knox protections and data segregation on the larger screen.
Data Protection and Encryption: Shielding Your Information Data protection and encryption are fundamental aspects of smartphone security. The Galaxy S21 FE 5G encrypts your data both in transit and at rest. This means that your personal information, files, and communications are shielded from unauthorized access, even if someone gains physical access to your device.
Smart Updates: Automated Security Samsung has introduced Smart Updates, an automated feature that ensures your device is not only up to date but also optimized for security. It scans for any missing security patches and, if needed, downloads and installs them in the background. This proactive approach keeps your device secure without requiring manual intervention.
An Array of Lock Screen Options: Personalized Security The Galaxy S21 FE 5G offers a variety of lock screen options, including PIN, pattern, password, and biometrics. This level of customization allows users to select the authentication method that suits their preferences and security needs, providing both flexibility and peace of mind.
Trusted Execution Environment (TEE): Hardware Security TEE is a hardware-based security feature that isolates critical security processes from the rest of the device's operations. This hardware-based security ensures that sensitive data like biometric information and encryption keys are stored securely within a separate and isolated environment, reducing the risk of tampering or data breaches.
Security as a Foundation The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G stands as a testament to the brand's commitment to user security. Its robust security features, including biometric authentication, Samsung Knox, regular security updates, and data encryption, create a formidable barrier against unauthorized access and data breaches. The Secure Folder adds an extra layer of privacy, while granular app permissions provide users with control over their data.
Samsung's focus on security extends to its enterprise solutions, making the device a secure choice for business users as well. With Samsung DeX and its smart updates, the Galaxy S21 FE 5G ensures that security remains at the forefront of its design and functionality.
In a world where data privacy and security are paramount, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G offers users a secure and trustworthy companion, proving that advanced technology can coexist harmoniously with user protection.
