Alright folks, I gotta ramble to you about Camille Chameleon, there is just too much about her I find interesting.

She had one episode to herself, and then never appeared again (minus the comics, but she only got to be a side character I think); and yet, she is not only my second favourite minor villain, but there is just. So Much to her character.

(This is going to be a long one)

So she, of course, has the average STEM villain backstory of being very obsessed about one specific topic, and also being bullied by her peers; HOWEVER, the way she talks about it, it sounds like she was already being bullied, before she got interested in biology, since she used it as an escape/a pastime (since she had no friends).

Now, of course I can't say the same wasn't true for Megavolt and Bushroot (the two main STEM villains whose backstory we know), but I think it's really cool how Camille's interest in chameleons wasn't just because she naturally found them fascinating, but directly and specifically because she was being bullied.

She flat out states that the reason she liked them so much in her youth, is because of "their ability to fit in anywhere".

Like she felt SO DIFFERENT and EXCLUDED from other children, that she clung onto a creature that can stop itself from sticking out like a sore thumb, and that can make itself fit into any space it is currently in. Something she wanted to be able to do so badly, she literally conducted an experiment on herself, to turn herself into a chameleon. Like she thought there was something so fundamentally different about her, that she could never fit in the way she is now.

And it works. But it also doesn't.

Yes, she physically turns into part-chameleon. Hell, she can even fit in better than a chameleon, because she can actually shape-shift. Yeah, she has the lisp, but for all we know, she already had that before the transformation, and it's not like non-mutant people don't have lisps and stuff. She achieved literally everything she could have hoped for!

But she's still Camille.

She can turn into anyone or anything, but the way she talks, and the way she acts, and her personality are still her own. Even if she had physical characteristics that she was made fun of for that she can now "fix", it doesn't make as much of a difference as she hoped.

And if you really think about it, it makes sense. Even if she had somehow adopted every single aspect of a chameleon, they aren't the most social of animals, especially not in regards to people. There is nothing about chameleons that would have made her be better at socializing with others, which was probably her main problem. Really, the endeavour was doomed from the start.

Now, she's kinda stuck with it. Don't get me wrong, I think she's happy with her new physical form (and she's got pretty cool powers), but it didn't really get her where she wanted to be.

And let's face it; being a mutant in Saint Canard, doesn't seem to be the best time. The vast majority of the ones we see, are all villains. Even the ones that aren't, tend to get mistreated (in the episode with Cement Head, even Darkwing says something like "not bad, for a mutant", to his fellow hero). It's likely that being part-chameleon just got her more outcast by everyone else (and seeing what happened with Bushroot, it was likely she kept getting bullied as an adult).

So what now? She's still equally as socially-outcast as before, she is a mutant, and she's completely broke now on top of that.

Well, there is one place, where seemingly all of Saint Canard's outcasts fit in, and get along.

The villains' league.

I mean, even someone as awkward as Reginald Bushroot has managed to make multiple friends with other villains (even experimenting together with Dr. Fossil in the comics); most of them had a not-so-good past; religiously obsessing about a specific field/topic is almost a given here; and a lot of them are fellow mutants. Combined with the fact that crime can be a pretty good way to make money, becoming a villain under these circumstances seems natural. After all, it happens quite a lot in Saint Canard.

All in all, I find it intriguing, that everything that happened that in Camille's life up to this point, kind of naturally flowed into each other. Some of this might just be speculation - of course - but nothing just happened for the hell of it. Everything was a consequence of something else.

Though, even without all that, Camille's powers, but also her weaknesses, are just really cool to me for some reason <3

Ahh!! Thank you so much that's so nice to hear. I absolutely loved Sara in the original show, so I couldn't pass the opportunity to do a lil redesign in line of Ducktales lol.

I'm still into Darkwing :> it's just taken a back seat to other shows that I'm currently into (and has new content) so if Darkwing ever does get a reboot (whenever that may be) you can bet on my ass jumping back to that show lol

"Now I've had the time of my life No, I never felt like this before Yes, I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you"

This is a very, very special drawing for me. ✨

In September of last year, I watched Dancing With The Stars' "Step Into the Movies" special again, at the end of which they recreate "The Time of My Life" scene from Dirty Dancing. And that sent me on a nostalgia trip back to my high school theater days over a decade ago now, where the drama club accepted my idea to do a "Time of Our Lives" theme, and a performance for that song à la Glee. Mind you, I was mainly the stage manager/techie sort, but I did some scenes for the showcases, and participated in this song with my then-boyfriend, along with two other couples.

And while we were hanging out in the green room backstage, a friend took some pictures of us. Including the one that directly inspired this drawing of Webby + Lena.

This started out as a memory remix of that photo, after watching the DWTS special, because I thought these two lovebirds would be really cute subjects for it.

But once I got going, it turned into a love letter, for many things.

As part of the remix aspect of it, I now picture myself in Lena's spot in the photo, getting to have the short hair I wish I had had back then, and getting to wear a suit and tie! (Yes, in the original photo, I am wearing the dress and red bow Webby's sporting here, and I have long hair. 🙈 Though I will say here that the little heart necklace she's wearing is exactly like the one I had, too! :)) Drawing this was really cathartic for my nonbinary self. 💜

And as for Webby, in this remix, she represents someone that, in retrospect, I wish I had shared this moment with from back then. In many ways, she really was the Webby to my Lena. 💜💖💝

(Literally) beyond the subjects of this though, this is indeed very much a love letter to a lot of things, to passions. The background is pretty much a replica of the drama classroom wall we were in front of for the photo, at least as far as layout goes, with a few direct recreations of things that were on the wall and on the table there. Everything else was me being a passionate (theatre) nerd.

I've included un-blurred and background-only versions (and a version with drop shadow lines on the girls, because why not? it's a cool effect!) below, but I just want to point out the details, because I'm so dang proud of this.

The posters/programs for The Phantom Blot of the Opera, Featherspray, Chickago, and My Fair Dewey are obvious duck-parody references to their real-world counterparts (with the latter being the exact poster they use in DuckTales, in Dewey's dream in "Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!" So thanks, Dewey! 😂). The Featherspray one was also included because Hairspray was one of the shows we did in high school! And lemme just say, creating theater posters is really fun!!

The MJ the Musical poster and the half-shown Notre Dame de Paris "Duckbill" right behind Lena's head are particularly special to me, since they (along with Phantom) are my favorite musicals, and getting to draw those two was especially fun!

The L'Orange Theater poster in the top-right is a bunch of duck easter eggs in one - the L'Orange Theater is mentioned and seen in the very first episode of DuckTales 1987, and of course, there's Aquarioon from DT17! Looks like it toured in Duckburg a long time ago. 😉

And the sheet music is the DuckTales theme! (Or at least the left side of it :P)

The "Congrats" card, calendar (the whale for upper half was my own touch), folder, page of random backstage stuff behind Lena's head (which includes little Star Trek and Darkwing Duck references), and golden "Theatre" card (with my old director's favorite quote) are directly from the photo (or at least based on what I could see through its blurriness 😝), as is the very edge of a cast photo in the upper-right. The purple note (totally not with any secret messages whaaaaat) below that, the certificate of excellence, and the little pride heart pins everywhere are little garnishes/dedications. 😊

The stage/theater diagram below the certificate is really cool, because that's a direct recreation (+ another hidden message) of a project a friend and I did for stagecraft back in our freshman year - I was even able to copy my own handwriting for the labels! 😄😂

The "Time of Our Lives" poster is a reference to the showcase I mentioned above that inspired all this, though the real-life poster looked very different, from what I remember.

The green bag below is sorta a nod to the secret pal exchanges we used to do during shows. 😉

And finally:

The Glittering Goldie show poster is me just having an absolute blast drawing her once again and coming up with something for her Blackjack days! And bonus - I'll be posting a gradient-only version of Goldie tomorrow! Really happy with how she turned out!

And the "All the World's a Stage" poster is me combining all of my theatre nerdiness with my passion for space and a good pun! 😁

ANYWAY...

I learned a lot with this drawing, about creating and about myself.

And I just had so, so much fun with it - it was all love, all passion, all happiness for this one. 💜💖💝

Due to some past trauma from previous fandoms, I'm not particularly one to engage in fandom related discourse anymore, but when you not only name-drop me, but continue to perpetuate lies about not only me, but also my friends.... that's when I'd rather "clear my name" than allow for a nasty rumor to circulate when I know it's out there.

I want to go through everything that went down in order as best as possible. Even though I’ve spent so much time on this receipt post, truly this issue was something very small, the root of the issue lies with CookieRuby herself, given she decided to continue to create and perpetuate lies and rumors about myself and others. I know she will most likely continue to make up whatever she wants to have happened to obtain pity from those who do not know the context, but I thought that if she was going to do so regardless, I might as well let everyone know mine and my friends’ side of things. Because sadly I got some very worried and confused messages wondering if the statements were truthful. Hopefully this reassures most that they are in fact not.

I also would like to say while I am deeply upset that someone would lie about me like this and continue to emotionally manipulate, then double down on it all… I still do want to say that if you know people who act as such to please help them get the help they need. The timeline of this basically showcases us interacting at 3 points ever, but its obvious in her own obsessive world she has created, it has been brewing with her much longer. Which all of this is genuinely concerning and I hope she gets help. Despite my anger.

In the beginning

I believe I knew about them prior to them joining the old Darkwing Duck RP server I used to be active in back in 2022. If you know me, I follow practically every artist in the fandom. Especially as the fandom loses traction and there are less and less of us actively creating works. So naturally I followed. I even found her oc interesting. I mean why wouldn’t I? Magentus, while more of an oc now than he was in the past, at the end of the day still is my sona so to speak. I love seeing others put themselves into their own work in their own ways. Unfortunately once I got to know them, their attitude towards others when it came to their oc soured my interest.

In a lot of her posts, she makes claims towards my friends and I (as well as I suppose vague unknown other “harrassers” prior to us. I only put it in air quotes because the amount of lying she does, ironic I know, makes me question the validity of anything she says.) that we actively hated and made fun of her for disliking Drakepad. As you can see in the screenshots provided, that is exactly the oppposite.

I also want to mention the screenshots here are an anonymous friend’s server that I used to be active in. In the screenshots provided by Soy, it refers to their old server. Though I believe there is a point in our screenshots where one is referenced in another. (I am currently not looking at them, so I can recall which is referenced in which.) I wanted to make sure there was no confusion with that. These were provided to me by Drake. I could not find them on my own. This was her asking about playing her oc initally. and some stuff I didn't screenshot previously I think?

On Soy’s Side of things

Initially I had another draft of this whole rant, but because of these screenshots I got so peeved that I spiraled into a mad disorganized rage due to the ridiculousness of all of this. So I thought it would be best to rework my words into a more composed response. Personally I had read the first set of messages after they had happened, but when it comes to the discord screenshots, these were new to me. We were all suspicious of her potentially using an alt account on tumblr to ask as a “friend”. Because while I cannot say the same for my friends, I had online friends when I was young who pulled very similar stunts to continue to emotionally manipulate me into remaining their friend and under their thumb. I do not fuck with that sort of behavior anymore. And to note from Soy they said that they had joined their old dead DWD server and immediately dmed them. The obsessive manner of her continuing whatever game she thinks this is is a genuine concern and big alarm sounding that she needs to talk to someone. She is older than me, but I have already dealt with extremely similar people in my preteens, so it’s sad to see someone being so immature like this. (I hit the 30 post limit so the screenshots will be in the reblogs for anything missing)

Starting with the post that finally prompted this response, I want to cover my personal opinion of each thing mentioned. Unfortunately as you will see, I do not have proof for my own ponytown run in personally, but if you read all of the messages provided, you can probably tell who’s more truthful considering it’s a 1-0 with me having evidence and her none. You’ll notice she remains vague when she can, which is most of the time.

First we need to all heavily note that this was a supposed dream. She is her character Hannah in her dream, alongside Drake. Soy, an anon, and myself appear as “hooded people” in her dream and do an incantation on her in order to curse her to not be with Drake. I suppose this causes a curse that forces Drakepad to be real in her dream? Then we say quotes she is claiming we said. I will get to that in a moment. This is a summary so that if she deletes the post linked, you still have me explaining it. (I wrote this last night, unfortunately as of right now while I was acquiring links she did in fact delete the post. Likely because of my warning post from the other day. So she is stalking my account still.) Then her own oddly crafted happy ending where the spell is broken and she gets her ending of support.

Now I’ll cover the “quotes”

“Drakepad is the only true ship”

You will here her claim people saying this to her often. In reference to my friends, such claims have been proven false. We supported her opinion despite our own. Even comforting her and letting her know its awful for anyone to try and pressure her over such a simple difference in taste. Also adding the fact we supported her oc x canon even though she could not RP it in the old server.

“Darkwing DENIED YOU” with her claiming it is something I said to her in Ponytown.

I will go more in depth in exactly what I said in ponytown further down, but I never once said this. She insisted that my opinion was that her oc x canon was not valid. I was Negaduck in game, then I specifically swapped to my Magentus pony and stated how hypocritical it would be for me to say such a thing. Then proceeded to let her know, though I was annoyed, that it’s alright for her to not ship something she does not like, but continuing to bring up that you hate a ship to people you know don’t mind it or even ship it themselves is rude. Then she proceeded to do something I can only describe as something I am seasoned to as the son of an emotionally inmature mother. Again I will elaborate in the ponytown section.

“She gaved me PTSD by her DrakePad hate. And with her tumblr post who HURTED my friends saying we “FORCED” Drakepad on our server she lied.” Which was aparently what Soy said.

I cannot speak to how soy feels completely on this, but I know they did not develop post traumatic stress disorder from this. Nor have they said this quote if you could not guess. I believe the friend was the one in the screenshots between them and soy on discord I shared above. Again, I do not trust that these are her actual friends. This is not to say she couldn’t potentially have friends who agree with her, I just don’t trust her truthfulness especially with said discord dms. But you as the reader can make your own opinion on that. From what I was told by Soy, they joined (I believe after they realized they couldn’t do oc x canon with our Darkwing in the old server, which was his choice to make.) and asked if they could do darkwing x hannah. Soy and others kindly let her know that they were working on a drakepad relationship, but saw no problem in doing dw x lp x hannah. She accepted I think? But regardless then returned to our server to both brag about how someone finally let her, but soon ranted about how uncomfortable poly stuff made them. Some of this is word of mouth, but you can see other parts referenced back above.

“You deserve no friends.” by an anon

Again, I question the validity of this claim, but assuming someone actually said this to her this is horrible to say to someone. Back in 2020 I dealt with prosh*ppers in a problematic fandom harrasing me because I outwardly was against their adult x minor ship. Unfortunately if you know what fandom I mean. (keep guesses to yourself, I don’t want to bring it up in public.) You know it’s very popular unfortunately. I was sent death threats and people telling me how unworthy of friends, love, or anything they could throw at me. I would never say this to another nor condone saying this to another. Even if CookieRuby is in the wrong here. Everyone deserves the chance to have friends and flourish as a person. I’m angry but I’d never wish such a thing. And while I’m at it I would like to suggest to you as the reader that if you are considering doing such a thing don’t. Block her, move on. It’s not worth it. I’m only here right now to give context, then I’m done. I do not want anyone going after her. I’m just here to show my receipts, not to harrass her. I’d just prove her point if I did that. I’m not that sort of person.

And I was shown her speaking about her inferiority complex. I do not have one, so I cannot speak to how true this is, but considering this was March 2023...it seems despite her admitting this, she has obviously continued to lie about people. So I don’t know if she has that complex, but she is a chronic liar at the very least so there’s that I guess.

Ponytown run ins

The provided screenshots below are from before what I’ll be describing to you. I had to re-listen to a voice note I sent after this. It’s all I have besides the discord message of me realizing it was her. I do not want to attach it just because I keep my voice to myself most times. I’m shy gang.

Starting off I was just finishing my Magentus pony. For a while they had a color palette I had just chose myself without reference and I was finally giving them their reference colors. I was returning to the darkwing rock circle I was hoping to start a darkwing pony hangout at, when I saw a Darkwing pony approach. Now, I don’t know if this was coincidence of perhaps she knows about the hangout from my story. Considering she has alts, she probably was checking my story, but that is speculation. I immediately am eager to friend them because of their pony. But of course the first words from her are “why do you have me blocked?” my mood immediately changes as it hit me that someone had told me prior she had an account. Likely due to the incident in the other ponytown screenshots. I ask to confirm if it’s her and she says yes.

So I simply put that she cause discomfort to my friends and I and that I use the block liberally. During this I am scrambling to try and block her on ponytown too, but unfortunately my block list is too full because I have been blocking Dream SMP ponies left and right. So I decide maybe here is where I can put my foot down on things. I also mentioned a side thing about how the old server I was in had a policy about posting over people, but she seemed to focus on this more. (I do not recall if this was enforced at the time, but still it was focused on way more than the main issue I was bringing up.) I mentioned how she’d post over others. I told her that it wasn’t my main point and to forget that and move onto the main issue. I explain to her as adult as I can back to her Drakepad issue that “You were being rude to people because you could get your ship. We tried to be nice and I just blocked you because I didn’t want to deal with that [anymore].” and the only thing she got from that was me saying “rude” I suppose so she responded saying “oh so I’m the toxic one?” and boy have I heard this one get pulled on me before. It’s giving emotional manipulation. I calmly reply “That is not what I said.” I said something else that I couldn’t recall, though likely just me restating what happened, then she said “well I guess I’m sorry-” I was on a call at this time with my boyfriend while he was on break as this went down, so I began speaking to him irl. I guess I did not respond to her in time because she continued with the classic backhanded comment of “Since everyone wants me to apologize anyway” or something to that effect. It was in that way that someone who does this wants you to just accept the apology even though it was not a meaningful one. She does not have to apologize, no one is making her, but that was her attitude about it. I thought I’d just end it off there with a joke to myself so I didn’t lose it. I went “I have a mother, I can be emotionally manipulated at home, I don’t need this game from you. Bye.” and logged off. Honestly there is when it actually got personal. Somewhere in the middle she insisted what I had mentioned earlier with us hating oc x canon and drakepad and all that and that statement from earlier still follows.

I even have a later note worrying there would be a post on her tumblr, but I checked once and there was nothing so I thought maybe she had gotten over herself…..we are here now so nope. Also this was 2/2/2024 for timeline’s sake.

I was transcribing from a voice note, so if it seems like there are any holes in that ask me, I’ll try to fill in what I missed.

Misc

Lastly here are things I did not know how to organize into the rant. As well as some people making mention to their experiences with her in reply to my Instagram story. I swore I would get all I could and I meant it.

And anyways thank you to those who actually took the time to read all of this mess. I don’t know how I did drama back in the day this has truly been so exhausting to write, but it was important that I did. Honestly despite my anger this is really dumb to have to make, but I do not like being lied about. I especially don’t like my friends also being lied about. And again just block her and do not engage. I do not condone harassment of any kind. I am going to go sleep as I finish writing this. This was a tiring experience. She’ll probably continue but now I am satisfied knowing we’re all on the same page.

Drake:

He's sooo blorbo. Fuckin cringe ass fail loser with an ego so big it regularly costs him the victory but also brave, determined and the BEST father in literally all of Disney canon, *especially* the Disney duck universe (I say as someone who's read many of the comics, it's a lot better in the Ducktales reboot). I can't find it now but at one point years ago I was on a wiki page about him and they listed like ten different personality traits and only like one of them was good lmao.

That man is a father and a superhero at the same time!!! he would do anything to protect his daughter!!!!!!!!! hes also has the ego the size of a small planet i love him!!!!!!! hes such a good dad!!!!!

I've made a new OC!! Her name is Willow Mallard, and she is the mommy of Drake Mallard!! The main idea I want to take away is that she may be a beautiful supermodel, but deepdown, she's a very nurturing and loving mother who is proud of her son no matter what!! She's also more muscular then any other female duck out there!! This gets her a bit of traction both good and bad, but she is proud of the work that she put in for herself and doesn't care what anyone else thinks! It's this motivation that is inspiring to Drake, and he looks up to her so much!! She's also the only person to know that her son is Darkwing Duck, but can't help to support her son in whatever way!!

So I finished DuckTales (2017), my thoughts:

- Bradford Buzzard:

His feelings for hating adventure and chaos is valid but he should have told his grandma to fuck off and got therapy instead of trying to destroy it. Also its not his fault that Della took the Spear of Selene even if he told her about it.

You can’t have one thing without the other, there must be chaos if there is stability and vice versa.

- Webbigail Vanderquack and Bentina Beakly (Agent 22):

It was a good twist, but it makes me question where FOWL got Scrooge’s DNA to make Webby and why her exact clones (sisters) aren’t perceived as Scrooges kid like Webby is.

My theory: “The Papyrus of Binding only appears to a direct heir of Scrooge McDuck” I think it mean’s physically and emotionally. If June and May are Webby’s clones that means they are just as much Scrooge’s physical child as Webby is, except they don’t have a relationship with Scrooge. Scrooge even before knowing Webby was his kid thought of her like his Grandniece, like family, making her an heir like the boys.

For how much Beakly talked about how important and strong a family is together when getting the boys to talk to Scrooge again in Season 1, it doesn’t make much sense to have her go in alone without informing the family of what she knows of FOWL from SHUSH.

Goldie O’Gilt:

I love her so much, except in the ImpossiBin episode, there she was okay. At the end of the ImpossiBin episode Goldie calls Scooge assuming he took the fountain of youth when they agreed to keep it for both of them, (she went back to steal it for herself so she says). They made progress in the Youth Fountain episode and having Goldie call him about it being gone kinda defeats the whole purpose of their bonding in that episode. Except I understand they needed a character to tell him it was gone like the other missing mysteries but I find it defeated the whole point.

Lena and Violet Saberwing:

To me it looked like Violet’s parents adopted Lena and I’m all for that. Also love the hinted gay rep with their dads.

Magica De spell:

While it was Scrooge that blocked her spell, it was still her spell that she shot that turned her brother into a raven. Theres no reason or obligation for Scrooge to have caught him and give him to her when they were both terrible people. If anything her brother got a new chance at life as a raven instead.

I wish there was kinda a redemption arc when she was training Lena, if not for Lena a little redemption for Gladstone because I like those two.

Fenton Crackshell (GizmoDuck) and DarkWing Duck:

I like Drake with Fenton regardless if he’s Drake or playing DarkWing but I feel like he needs to accept that GizmoDuck is also a hero. Bro needs to know the difference between hero and vigilante.

Fenton is pretty bbg too <3

Launchpad McQuack:

Giant himbo and I love him so much.

Daisy Duck:

Love her, not much else to say. She had standards, that was clear when we heard what she said while driving away from their second date except she still fell in love and was willing to put up with Donald enough to go rescue him and keep going out. Overall a girl boss <3

Huey, Dewey and Louie:

While Dewey should have come forward earlier about looking for Della I understand his intentions more then Huey did when he found out. Louie was right, its not okay, but in the beginning Dewey was just trying to find if she was alive or not, not where she was. He was sorry because he ‘got caught’, he was genuinely sorry. It’s difficult to want to tell someone you’re finding all this stuff about someone you all seek when none of you know if they’re even alive or not. Dewey didn’t want them to lose hope that Della may be alive even if he found out she might not have. Yes he should have told them but I understand he didn’t want to them to be more hurt that she’s unalive instead of just missing. Also they aren’t even teenagers and communication skills are ass with teenagers what makes you think they’ll be any better as 10 year olds?

Again, their anger is misplaced when they’re mad at Scrooge for building a Spear of Selene.

Scrooge McDuck (sugar daddy?):

I like his character and I feel theres a bit of development through out the show with him and the kids, to be a teacher you need to be able to learn from your students.

While yes, he shouldn’t have built the rocket right there he also didn’t tell Della about it. Not his fault she left. Also the audacity to find out it wasn’t really his fault or the fact he nearly went bankrupt looking for her and they didn’t apologize at all.

Donald Duck (DILF):

Literally the best man in the whole show. He put his family first the whole time even when he should have taken breaks except he stepped up. We know that he had some form of falling out with Scrooge because of Della but even so he stepped up to take the kids and stayed in DuckBurg instead of moving anytime in the 10+ years they lived there. I have a feeling they stayed because he knew deep down that he could somewhat still count on Scrooge if not Beakly. Why else would he have stayed and gone to Beakly to watch the kids, granted he didn’t want to talk to Scrooge, Scrooge still took them in and watched them while Donald was off getting a job.

Donald may not be their bio-dad, but he is no way a fucking Uncle. He raised those boys by himself for 10+ years, through their formative years and until they were old enough to know he wasn’t their bio-dad. He stepped in to be a parent because Della chickened out and chose to go to space even when he told her she shouldn’t so she can be with her kids.

Donald Duck, not an uncle, a father.

Della Duck (cool-ish weird Aunt):

My opinion has not changed, she still isn’t a mother to me. Della is an estranged aunt that comes by and is the ‘cool aunt’. She willingly, without obligation, without threat, consciously CHOSE to leave her kids. Regardless of if she knew she would get killed or stuck in space, “there were too many variables” -Huey. She had a fight with Donald that specifically told her that it was a giant, dumb fucking idea with kids on the way. The idea that anyone would accept her back as a parent so blindly is so dumb. Yes she’s their egg-layer, but there is no way in hell she is their mother. A MOTHER would never choose to leave their children unless they positively fucking had too (obligation for safety). Whether or not she regrets it holds no power because she still chose to leave for a stupid reason.

Season 1 finale: “Get away from my kids” by Donald Duck will forever hold more power and significance then anytime she ever says it because she gave up parent rights before they were born. No parent would willingly, without valid cause like their safety (not fucking exploring space for funzys) would leave their child.

Over all:

Scrooge and Donald are DILFS and Della can get bent.

Thinking about the “Usopp loves Darkwing Duck and Sanji loves Card Captor Sakura” thing from ages ago and now I’m imagining them going trough the hardest challenge a weeabo and a western animation geek can go trough: moving in together.

All the merchandise, the prints, the commissions they gave years ago and the buttons from various cons, it’s an actual nightmare for both of them to somehow try and find space for everything. Sanji hates Funko Pops with a passion, Usopp loves them. Sanji has a giant body pillow of some random anime girl and Usopp feels inadequate. The biggest issue however arrives when they try and decide where Sanjis collection of ero figurines is supposed to go. Sorry not sorry but you KNOW he has some of them. It’s actually not as bad as Usopp expected at first but it’s still a challenge to find a place for them because Usopp does NOT want them in the bedroom like Sanji used to have in his bachelor pad

They actually get into a heated argument at one point while they are running on coffee and lack of sleep. “OH YES IT WAS SOOOOO IMPORTANT TO YOU TO HAVE A SPACE FOR YOUR CRAFTS BUT NOOOO DONT LET YOUR BOYFRIEND HAVE SPACE FOR HIS STUFF AT ALL!” “FUNNY YOU SAY THAT, BECAUSE IM NOT THE ONE FLIPPING OUT BECAUSE I JUST NEED MY BIG TITTED CATGIRL FIGURINE TO LUST OVER IN THE HALLWAY FOR EVERYONE TO SEE!” “*GASP* DONT TALK ABOUT HIBIKI-CHAN LIKE THAT!!”

They don’t talk to each other for what feels like ages (Twi hours maximum) and they finally make up when the guilt gets too much. They both compromise on each selling a few of the things they aren’t as invested in, Sanji agrees to move a few of his more risqué figures to a space where he gets to see them but they can easily be hidden if visitors come over, some of the more decent ones like the pinup one of a lady in the bathtub actually are tame enough to be put in a more open spot even Usopp has to admit (plus her sitting on the bathroom shelf surrounded by both of their soaps and haircare products looks quite cute actually). Usopp keeps most of the Funkos on his work desk at Sanjis request. It’s the nerdiest home ever with some clashing aesthetics but they make it work trough the power of love and because both of them are creative people who can incorporate that into their home space.

… also Usopp has started a game where he will just randomly replace his boyfriends figurines and wait for his boyfriend to notice. Like elf on the shelf but more elaborate and with anime or cartoon figurines. Currently Sakura is being carried away by a bunch of Pikmins in the shoe closet. Sanji has noticed she’s gone but hasn’t said anything because that’s not how the game works. He’s supposed to find her and then yell “GODDAMNIT SAKURA!” Before carrying her back to her spot…. He’s already planning his move though and has decided he’s gonna try and put Grunkle Stan in a glass of water in the freezer with a single lone ice Pikmin guarding him.

This is the realest, most accurate thing in the whole world. They'd move in together but they'd be a mess. They have... Very different tastes when it comes to games/shows and they obviously can't decide what to do with the space they have.

But! They also have things in common. The thing is... They like the content in different ways.

Usopp has a huge Alphonse figure. Beautiful. Next to his Gurren Lagann figurines and so, so many robots. So many mechas. He has the three Gravity Falls diaries. All the Ducktales comics. Darkwing Duck was just the start because he's also a huge DC fan and has so much Batman merch. He's got this extremely awesome replica of Junpei's sword from P3. Everything is high quality and he's very, very careful with his merch. He has his own fanarts in a sketchbook and nobody is allowed to touch his games and his consoles. From Play Station to all types of Nintendos. He has so many damn Funko Pops of everything. Typical "For the last time, Sanji, I keep them inside the box because the box is also part of the merch what aren't you understanding-". Not to mention that he's a huge Lord of The Rings fan and he definitely plays D&D and he's also a botanist so you can only imagine how their house looks like-- So many plants-- Forest aesthetic. Except their front door that looks exactly like the Tardis because Usopp was dying to do that ever since he was a kid, and when he showed Sanji the show he fell in love with it and let him do it.

Sanji likes the same stuff but he has a very explicit Lust figure. Next to his adorable Nia and Yoko figurines and so so so so so many cute simple merch. Like keychains and stickers. I am 100% sure Sanji has Gravity Falls pajamas and Ducktales too that nobody but Usopp knows about. I think one of the only man figurines he has is a Starlord one and maybe Shazam merch, but he's more of a Superman type of guy. He saw Lois Lane and fell in love with her instantly. He has a Mitsuru figurine riding her bike and one of Chidori and Junpei he doesn't let anybody touch. That's precious to him. He asks Usopp to draw him stuff and that's why Usopp is always late to his commissions because his boyfriend suddenly wants to be drawn next to Senshi cooking. Sanji doesn't like Funkos but he does like Nendoroids and Usopp hates it because they're so fucking expensive and Sanji is always crying in the background ("But- But-" / "Sanji, we've talked about this-" / "But this little Miku is so cute!"). Sanji also plays videogames but he's more of an Animal Crossing/Cooking Mama/Stardew Valley type of guy. So many Dating Sims, too. Also the Sims, he loves that.

Their bookshelf is a mix between shoujos and so so many shonens but mostly cooking books and artbooks. So many DC comics too. I feel like both of them prefer DC tbh, Usopp is just Batman and Sanji likes Superman and instead of fighting about it they just admit they're really gay for each other. They do watch Marvel movies, though. Sanji really, really, really likes Spider-man and it's funny because he has arachnophobia and he cannot watch the damn movies without shaking when a spider shows up-- Usopp has Miles' jacket and Nikes I am so so sure. While Sanji probably has a Gwen poster in his room.

They argue a lot when it comes to how to use the space they have but!! Sometimes Sanji walks out of their room to make breakfast with Usopp's Batman t-shirt. And sometimes Usopp uses Sanji's Kero themed hair ties to tie his hair. And... They wouldn't change that for anything in the world.

They're also the type to watch/play anything together and go "Hey they're just like us fr" so now they have their house full of ship merch because those ships remind them of them,,, Those are the true romantic gestures.

Edit: Forgot to say Sanji has all of Taylor Swift's CDs and Vinyls and he's a very intense swiftie that makes Usopp wake up at ungodly hours to hear the new albums, while Usopp is like "I guess she's okay??? She's alright idk" because he literally only listens to movie/game soundtracks, indie shit and Cavetown. They both listen to Vocaloid though that is true. I was there. Project Sekai players that's what they are (Sanji does it for the cute girls but ends up staying because the characters are a bit too relatable and Usopp just really likes rhythm games)

Summary of the relationship of the fours

Dickie and Gyro

They have been best friends for years. Gyro has a slight crush on her, but prefers not to say it for the sake of their friendship. Dickie likes Gyro very much and sees him as the most important person in her life, although she doesn't see him romantically. Although they are completely different, they understand each other; Gyro is willing to help Dickie and Dickie will support her dearest friend.

And while Gyro is often uncomfortable when Dickie likes someone or has a partner, mostly because he feels neither deserves her (nor does he himself consider himself perfect for her), being more recent: Launchpad McQuack.

Dickie and Fenton

The two get along well, although there is a bit of disdain (although it is on Fenton's part). Dickie teases Fenton about his superhero identity and teases him several times, despite his jokes against him, but genuinely appreciates him for being good to Gyro.

Fenton initially had a hard time establishing a relationship with Dickie, due to his slight jealousy for getting along with Gyro so easily and her practical jokes towards him. Over time, he began to sympathize with her, although he still resents her teasing comments.

Dickie and Launchpad

The two became friends immediately, however, Dickie fell in love with him, mostly because of physical attractiveness and LP saw her as someone likeable.

She initially saw him as just a handsome man, but as she was with him more, she realized his great kindness and even though he is dumb, he would show his compassion when it is needed the most. She wants to start a romance with him, unfortunately it would be difficult for Dickie; despite her failed attempts, she appreciates LP's friendship and is happy for him to spend time together as friends.

For his part, Launchpad has liked Dickie ever since he met her and adores her crazy energy. He has inadvertently left her in the friendzone. Launchpad appreciates Dickie's optimism, although he still knows her weak side and tries to help her.

They both share the same neuron. xD

Launchpad and Fenton

The two get along extremely fine, it should have been the events that led Fenton to make Gizmoduck.

Despite their friendship, LP had a slight attraction to Fenton, although he is aware that he has a girlfriend and prefers to keep a low profile on the subject.

They both help each other, even when Fenton is in his hero mode, even though Darkwing doesn't like the idea very much.

Launchpad and Gyro

Both are known to work.

Gyro dislikes Launchpad's presence very much, not only because of the issue with Dickie, but because of Launchpad's stupidity and ignorance every time he appears, the more he gets involved with something scientific. Even so, he tries to keep his professional attitude to avoid someone unpleasant (mostly so that Dickie doesn't look at him ugly).

Launchpad, on the other hand, wants to have a friendship (or at least closeness) with Dr. Gearloose. Unfortunately, it usually ends badly.

They are such opposites that it is difficult to keep them together alone in the same room.

Gyro and Fenton

Both were just a scientist and his (unpaid) intern, although it was mostly Gyro's dislike of Fenton, for resorting to it himself when he was young.

Despite Fenton's mistakes with the suit, Gyro gave him many chances and began to like him, in his own strange way with his sour face.

Because of the events in Japan, Gyro agreed to make Fenton an official assistant, showing his appreciation for him. The two would begin a friendship, despite maintaining their status as boss and employee.

Fenton would take on a more important role for Dr. Gearloose regarding his emotions, especially when Dickie came back into the scientist's life. Gyro acknowledged (at times) that Fenton had become a good friend, although he hid it so as not to be soft.

Thanks for reading (this so long) and I hope to bring more of this headcanon I've been thinking about for a while and fine tune the details.

did you know that negaduck from darkwing duck was based off reverse-flash? yeah, that doesnt even BEGIN to describe what's actually been going on between their character histories..

first, negaduck wasnt just inspired by or a reverse-flash parody. he's a literal copy-paste of silver age thawne with a very few changes of origin place from future to parallel universe and identity from some random future guy to main hero's evil twin, because originally eobard was fixated on being a Criminal and not particularly flash's nemesis. back in the day, thawne constantly mentions how much he loves his criminal life. half of his lines are negaduck-worthy purely because the rest is related to being a speedster scientist. my personal favorite as an example:

he passes the speed limit law in central city so that barry couldnt use superspeed without breaking it but thawne still could because he is 'a hardened criminal'. he invents rays that turn everything inflicted evil (something even negaduck has never done (ig solely because megavolt's already done it in the negaduck episode where he accidentally splits darkwing into good dw (posiduck) and bad dw(negaduck, with a black and gray color scheme), and while yellow negaduck is a different character this is basically how the idea of him was born and the writers just decided to keep him in a different form bc the gray one merged back into normal dw at the end which is super funny. imagine coming up with a duck villain and going 'oh this guy actually reminds me a lot of reverse-flash with all that opposite/negative thing. LET'S PAINT HIM IN THOSE COLORS AND GIVE HIM THE SAME PERSONALITY AND SIMILAR ORIGIN THIS TIME'), altho he DOES test the power gem on a cat in jail bird like thawne did with evil rays). he repeatedly tries to get poor former dr alchemy back to crime just because 'crime fun. why cant you see that. im doing it for your own good' and negaduck tried something like that with morgana in feb 14th episode my valentine ghoul (+that brief scene with gos from 2016 comics run where he believes she must be bad deep down inside out of comparsion to nega!gosalyn). negaduck also travels from a whole other world just to fuck around here for fun (there was this bronze age flash issue called flashback where thawne gets lost in the timestream because barry pushed the wrong buttons in his time capsule which is almost exact negaduck's fate in life, the negaverse and everything) and one of another few differences related is that negaduck is shown to be a dictator of his universe's St. Canard who is bored to live somewhere he already has all the power so he travels to another universe to cause problems on purpose.

second. dc's new52. eobard is rewritten again, now he and zoom are kind of one character. but guess what else is new in this version that never happend neither in zoom or professor zoom's lives? thawne is a fucking dictator in his own time. and people tried to fight his rule in flash's name just like friendly four needed darkwing as inspiration to finally fight back for their world.

he gets his own team, acolytes of zoom (i wish i could call them local fearsome 4 but there are 5 of them, making it more of a sinister 6 if you count thawne) which he trains for centuries to fight the flash and betrays later by trying to steal their powers just like negaduck stole f4's in jail bird to become mega-negaduck and if all that wasnt enough, without the mask he straight up looks like negaduck humanization. look at him. this mf is only missing a hat and a cape.

also these sudden black parts in his new speedster suit design? either it is some absolute fucking bonkers of a coincidence or someone on the flash writing team really went 'hey guys you know what would be real funny? lets base new thawne off negaduck. like he was originally based off thawne. i swear no one will notice' and everyone went with that. (i could also mention he has the same dumb motivation for being evil (having shitty childhood/being deep down sad about mistreatment and loneliness) as 2011 dwd comics run negaduck but imo that's too far of a stretch to actually be included)

third. yall know the deal of the first season of cw's the flash? yeah, what if i told you the whole thawne messes with the particle accelerator and causes barry to gain superspeed thing already fucking happend in darkwing duck, episode going nowhere fast?

(the way i lost my mind over this back in the day when i decided to watch dwd just because negaduck reminded me of thawne(i didnt even know he was a direct rip-off, i just went 'oh wait dt universe has this evil fuck that wears the same color scheme as reverse-flash? girl i AM checking the whole thing out just to see if he's anything like thawne'.) and first watched the episode... priceless, still haunts me to this very day. how the hell was that written in 1991. did cw writers just take the idea from dwd too. honestly i cant be sure about anything anymore).

and remember in the duck knight returns (2011 comics run arc) flashbacks there was a super funny thing with negaduck not knowing dw's secret identity and being so proud he cracked the case? remember cw!og!thawne looking for flash's time period and not knowing his identity in 2nd season cameo episode? what the hell was even up with that!!! like guys. guys one of you is the most devoted flash fan from the future and there is NO way none of that kind of information was left a CENTURY after (i mean come on dude couldntve you just asked gideon. she literally had that 2024 newspaper about vanishing and thats at the very least not mentioning she was created by barry) and another is straight up the same fucking person as the hero with the same fucking relatives and enemies. idk take a wild guess??? ((i really wonder if anybody on the wirting team of 2011 dwd run saw not just life, the negaverse and everything but any episode featuring negaduck at all. not only do they ignore the existence of nega!gos in the 'oh he mean bc alone :(' approach, they ignore the very definition of negaduck's character which is literally evil drake mallard. i mean sure hes dumb and may miss obvious clues because of being the same dw just evil but come on, such a comedic situation and never addressed by drake whos literally been in the negaverse and knows they are the same person or by anyone else he coluldve told that? oh well unless drake is also dumb af and thought there never was any drake mallard in the negaverse in the first place and that negaduck is some other guy. which is a real probability i suppose))

also. negaduck's death by being split on billions of evil particles in crisis on infinite darkwings and thawne, being 'exorcised' from nash's body in a form of a negative speed force stream with sparks in 6x15 of cw's the flash.

fourth! yall did watch ducktales 2017 reboot, right? specifically the duck knight returns episode? they introduce a whole new version of negaduck there! and guess what. jim starling, an old darkwing duck (in-universe 90s tv series) actor obsessed with his role, goes fucking nuts because there is a new darkwing duck actor in a new movie and he didnt even know. because he feels forgotten. because no one remembers neither him nor original series (objectievely not true bc obviously launchpad and drake but to jim they just dont count bc reasons. he seems to count only children but calls lp his fan when anthagonizes drake for taking even that from him in the end). because he was replaced and no one even bothered to tell him. he causes a fire on the set, almost kills drake but does have a change of heart at the end after launchpad's speech about what darkwing duck stands for and seemingly sacrifices himself to save drake and lp from the explosion. then they have the worst idea they could have in relation to jim's character ever: for drake to be a real life darkwing duck to honor jim's sacrifice. so naturally he hears that from the sewers or wherever he was hiding to see their reactions(look i am. 100% sure that this is what happened bc that makes so much more sense than jim getting brain damage or whatever from that explosion and waking up to choose violence again for no other reason). he gets hit with the being replacable and forgotten thing once again and renders back to negaduck tendencies, for all we know for good this time as his darkwing suit changes to the yellow-red one. yk who else went on a rampage because he felt forgotten and replaced? you guessed it! the return of barry allen, a 90s classic where thawne goes to 21st century for the first time, thinks he's barry (original-ish flash) because dissociation from trauma of seeing himself being killed by his hero and acts exactly like starling, having the same issues as motivation aka him/barry being forgotten and replaced by wally. he implies wally taking on the flash mantle is most disrespectful to barry. he rants about how he's the only flash and threatens to destroy not only the flash family but the whole central city for forgetting that. he and wally have a conflict of legacy similar to jim and drake's conflict in dt17. he is The starling blueprint only a lot more mentally ill. also we've heard something like the duck knight returns in running scared (this one is less reminiscent of jim but still features some things that werent in the return of barry allen). it's a rebirth arc that introduces another new origin of reverse-flash. now, he's been hyperfixated on barry allen his whole life (on a whole new level i mean) and there was the first meeting in 25th century where they Connected like thawne always believed they would. that day ended up in a fight and thawne's imprisonment because he set up casualties to get attention and praise for being the flash of 25th century but unlike all other versions this thawne has a change of heart after the fight, too. he promises to 'fix everything' including himself, he even goes to therapy afterwards. then he goes to the 21st century to tell barry how much he accomplished since they last met and then sees barry saying to wally one meaningful phrase he said to thawne that perfect day. like it wasnt something special only barry and eobard shared. like the day they met never happened. like he forgot thawne ever existed. like he was replaced as barry's speedster partner/friend/whatever he thought they were after that day by wally. and that shatters thawne so much he runs back to 25th and just decides to become the reverse-flash and make barry suffer until he gives him attention and recognition he deserved. frank angones, i am inside your walls. you CANT deny you based your versions of dw and nd off flash comics and thawne particularly. and more, you legit made reverse!eobarry au and put it in dt in duck forms. i have been losing my mind about it for 3 years now. i am exposing you and there is nothing you can do to escape that.

cant believe hunter once saw it on tv put 2 and 2 together and went 'eobard my dude we need to go full negaverse with the 25th century. we need a friendly four to your negaduck. i swear it'll be Hilarious'. god the only thing they lack at this point is nega!gosalyn (i mean. hunter actually did try something like that with inertia, saving him from the museum and trying to teach him how to torture flashfam into improving them but thad was more of a nega!honker and reverted hunter to crippled powerless state just because. love that kid)

A/N: this show is so freaking wholesome and an untapped goldmine for tickle scenarios

Drake Mallard (Darkwing Duck)

- can't believe I get to say this but he is CANONICALLY TICKLISH

- this dude (much like his '17 variant) is a chaotic switch. everything about him is chaotic

- doesn't tickle as often as he gets tickled

- has breathy belly laughter

- can admit that he's ticklish if he's not feeling self conscious about it. like if no one asks him, he can admit it pretty casually if it's relevant. but if someone asks him like "are you ticklish? 😏" he'll go into full denial. and there is NO winning that battle

- will NEVER admit verbally that he enjoys being a lee. being a ler, maybe. but never the lee

- worst spot is his belly. 1. bc bellies are adorable and they're my favorite and 2. bc when archie the spider was under DW's clothes tickling him, he said "that's my special spot" at the same time he curled into a ball, seemingly trying to protect his middle

- only two people who get to tickle him are gosalyn and launchpad. he seems to be a very closed off person anyway so letting someone get so close as to tickle him is not something that happens often

- with how obsessed he is with his image and never showing vulnerability, it's a HUGE act of trust for him to let himself be tickled

- lee moods drive him crazy. he could be listening to J. Gander talk about the most fascinating case in the world and all he would be thinking about is dem tïĉķľĕs

- when he gets in these moods, he becomes a needy cat. just sprawling onto launchpad's lap or pushing his feet up against him. acting bratty won't get him what he wants because he acts bitchy all the time. you would hardly be able to tell the difference

- launchpad (bless his heart) is not the brightest bulb so these hints are pretty lost on him. "oh sorry DW, d'ya want me to scootch over?", "gee DW you sure are cuddly today", etc

- (darkwing never can tell if LP's stringing him along on purpose or if he's really just that dense)

- eventually DW has to resort to going "hey lp... um... would'ya mind.. uh-you know... doing the *wriggles fingers* thing?"

- and launchpad smiles big and warm and says "aw, of course DW, climb on over here"

- ADORES being tickled by launchpad, it's his favorite thing

- darkwing does the Jim CummingsTM hoot-laugh when it really tickles. he finds it SO humiliating and damaging to his suave and mysterious image, so he tries to hold it in. launchpad loves it however and knows how badly his partner needs a laugh every now and then, so he'll try to coax it out of him; "aw DW, I heard that laugh~. just let it all out and you'll feel better. i know it really tickles~"

- ^ it always works eventually, and launchpad's right; DW does feel better afterwards

- he doesn't ever need tickles from gosalyn because, you know, that's his CHILD. so when gos tickles him, it's because SHE wants to play and he obliges happily

- gosalyn remembers how ticklish her dad is from when they first met and uses that to her advantage when they play. his saving grace? he knows her tickle spots too

- as a ler, his greatest asset is his unpredictability. he's clever, he's eccentric, he's thinks on his feet, and he'll try anything to make his lee laugh

- SADISTIC TICKLER

- RUN

- teases with silly baby talk (as he's shown to do in the series anyway); "d'aww is someone giggly because I found their tickle spot?" "coochiecoochiecoochiecoochiecoooo~" "I think someone's ticklish~"

- OR alternatively, oblivious teases; "what was that, I can't hear you over that laughing sound?"

- tickles gosalyn when she goes overboard with the smack talk. eventually DW catches on that she's goading him on purpose to get tickled, but he pretends not to notice. He loves it, too. you called me old and dorky? well I'd say that deserves a tickly sentence 😈

- will actually threaten her with raspberries if she doesn't settle down for bed. as expected, she ignores the threats completely, and doesn't fight that hard when it's time for her comeuppance

- tickling launchpad is a lot easier because he's not as spunky as gos and also he's a BTG (Big Ticklish Giant)

- not only that, but he's easier to trap; "say LP, be a lamb and grab the sugar on the top shelf for me?" works every time

- as cold and aloof as darkwing pretends to be, seeing launchpad, the sun in his universe, laugh and smile is like pure ecstasy for him. that's why he loves to tickle him

- doesn't bother with starting out slow, he just gets straight to the big laughter

- surprisingly very encouraging and supportive of launchpad whilst tickling him. if he notices LP getting a little too hysterical, he'll ease up just a little and say "you're doing great, LP. couple more minutes and we'll stop ok?"

- "DEEDOUBLEYUHUHUHUH!"

"yes~?"

"IHIHIT TICKLES!"

"i know it does buddy, just take it all in. or... we can stop if you want"

"..."

"I thought so"

- gives LP lots of gentle aftercare (tell no one)

Launchpad Mcquack

- launchpad is a ler-leaning switch

- gets more delight out of making those around him laugh than receiving it himself, because as we know, LP doesn't need the extra help in feeling cheerful, that just his default attitude

- his only frequent lees are darkwing and gosalyn; id say he tickles them both an equal amount

- launchpad is gosalyn's best playmate (and the fun parent) so plenty of times, he's pulled out the ol tickle monster shtick that worked on him when he was little. but surprise surprise, gos is not like most kids. she overtakes him fairly easily despite his size, and once you get him laughing, he's done for. darkwing will come upon the two of them in the living room, with launchpad down on the floor and gosalyn wrecking his shit, and have to separate them before gos gets carried away (LP doesn't mind, he's proud of the little tike)

- has a booming belly laugh that goes quiet after a few minutes. don't worry though, this isn't a sign that he needs a break, it's his good laugh. one should be worried if he starts cackling wildly and manically, THATS when he's at his limit. or when he says uncle

- loves tickling his pal darkwing. he doesn't get to see DW relax that often, let alone laugh, so the moments when the masked hero wriggles around and giggles in his arms are very precious to LP

- knows that darkwing likes it and also knows that he's embarrassed about it, but doesn't understand why

- also understands that while DW outwardly presents as having solidified confidence, inside he is very unsure of himself and struggles with being anything less than incredible. although LP thinks DW is ALWAYS incredible, he knows that his partner doesn't see it that way. little tickle sessions are a way to prove to DW that he is beautiful and perfect and worth it by just being himself. no mask and cape necessary

- makes sure DW is comfortable and relaxed the whole time

- teases with compliments; "you have such a nice laugh", "you're quite a fighter aren't ya?", "aren't you just the cutest thing on the planet? i think you are~", etc

- ^ compliments fluster darkwing to his wits end (face goes red, stammering out retorts) (ironic isn't it?)

- ACTUALLY CANNOT STOP PRAISING DARKWING

- will not tickle darkwing unless he outwardly asks for it (as outwardly as he can anyway)

- a very gentle tickler

- the kind of ler to cuddle AND tickle

- tickling to him is about playing in a safe environment

- sometimes (just like darkwing), he needs to be tickled too as a pick-me-up, or a display of comfort

- but as we see in the show, launchpad isn't too good at asking for what he needs, so he sits quietly and suffers until someone makes it a point to check on him. DW is aware of this and makes it his priority to detect any signs of hurt feelings or depressed moods ("why so glum, chum?" - Star Crossed Circuits)

- if LP looks like he could use a good tickling, DW will beat around the bush, without directly asking if he wants tickles: "you know, launchpad, you look like you could use some cheering up. me and my friends here *raises wiggling fingers* could help you if you need it". and while that sounds like a tease, when DW says it here, it's completely genuine, his friend is upset and he wants to fix it

- when darkwing gets the ok from launchpad, then he goes into full tickle monster mode

- getting tickled by darkwing makes LP feel very loved, because he does think very highly of his partner, and being taken care of by him instead of the other way around is very therapeutic

- his worst spot is his armpits

- darkwing'll stray just a little too close to those hollows and launchpad will cry out joyfully "NOHOT THE ARMPIHIHITS" to which darkwing responds "ohoho, YES the armpits!"

- talking about tickling is about as easy as it is for most people: can say the word all day long but gets a bit sheepish when asked about his own ticklishness

- doesn't really get lee/ler moods. he's just happy when the moment arises

- best tickle technique as a ler is squishes

- family tickle fights with all three of them are his favorite. it really solidifies the feeling that they're a family

Thoughts, Headcanons and Comments on Morgana Mawcaber (My AU).

This here is more of a commentary blog and maybe a rant, it can also be considered as a headcanon blog and also for Morgana fans. For those who want to, they can read it as they wish, but I'm already advancing that it's LONG and will have some low-level words (I'll censor it, but it's still worth it). Feel free to leave comments about your opinions...

Many people may not know, but I like romance. I've already said a few times that I like "Enemies to Lovers", very flirtatious couples, etc. But I'm not much of a talker about WHICH ships I like and, well... For those of you who see my drawings a lot... I usually draw a LOT of my OC Silk Touch with Darkwing Duck. I admit that this ship is one of my favorites from OC x Canon and one of the ones I'm most proud of working on. However... To the surprise of a LOT of people... The CANON Darkwing Duck ship that I like the most is... Morgwing! Morgana Mawcaber and Darkwing Duck/Drake Mallard! I think for some people it's a little obvious, because I drew them and I've already said a few times about the comic that I wanted to follow the Canon of the classic Darkwing Duck series (sorry Drakepad fans, but I think Drake is straight). And particularly, I genuinely like the concept of their couple dynamics. A hero and a witch... I really like it a lot!... The problem is that I don't think it's explored well... TuT

Like... There were very few episodes that showed their relationship, most of them were a lot of fighting and some I don't like, personally. The episode at Morgana's restaurant and the Valentine's Day episode where Negaduck came in the middle... I dislike it SO MUCH! And I also see that a lot of people don't like Morgana... So much so that I think that, for these reasons, there is a lot of Drake OC x Canon shipping... But anyway... Here I want to reformulate the couple and give it a a little more breadth to Morgana's personality, giving a little more context to EVERYTHING about her. And since we're getting into this shipping thing, let's talk about him first...

Okay, first... A lot of people I think question why Morgana fell in love with Drake, which is understandable... He's completely selfish, self-centered, arrogant and is probably unstable with relationships (I'll leave that last one part to comment on Drake's blog). So... In my view... It was purely for Drake's body! WAIT, CALM DOWN- LET ME EXPLAIN!!! I consider that, firstly, she just really wanted Drake/Darkwing as a worker zombie who would help her in the restaurant, but she would also have a certain more... Eh... Intense... As for his body... If they understand me... :'>

So... Think about Morticia and Gomez from the Addams Family... It's a little EXPLICIT that they have a more physical relationship and (pardon the word if you're a Christian or don't like hearing this...) something more lustful. Just watch the kissing scenes and certain adult jokes. They certainly have a lot of tension between them.

I've seen many headcanons that Drake and Morgana WOULD HAVE this more physical relationship (but it would be less explicit, please...) and I agree. And, considering Morgana... I have no doubt whatsoever that she would have been interested, FIRST, in Drake's body (because, especially in DT 2017, he looks like a standard, handsome blonde man). And Morgana, I don't even need to comment... Drake got dizzy just seeing her and I think he got a little... How to say...? Kind of tense in a different way... (My God, it's tense to say this kind of thing here...:'³).

But you might be wondering: "Okay, but how did this turn into love and develop into dating?" It's simple... Coexistence! Like... Many couples who start out physically end up developing a feeling of love. As much as Drake is an extremely complicated person and probably difficult to live with, I think Morgana is... And many artists agree... Drake WASN'T Morgana's first boyfriend! Come on... Morgana looks young, BUT SHE'S A WITCH!!! SHE MUST BE ABOUT 200 YEARS OLD!!! The woman must have a lot of experience with dating. The one who would be "new to love" would be Drake! Because, yes, he has never dated anyone in his life! That's why he was so disconcerted when he saw Morgana and even when they started dating. But as a philosopher once said... "Passion is fleeting, love lasts a lifetime." And, despite being a bit controversial, there is a grain of truth to it. So, yeah... Despite the fights... There would still be love in their relationship.

Okay, moving on to her personality... I admit that it's quite irritating due to a single factor... Even though she has characteristics of flirting a lot, being a witch and having a certain "strange" air for traditional families (•cough• Binkie, I hate y-)... I still see traits of a standard and stereotypical woman of the time... Don't get me wrong, this stereotype isn't exactly bad, it's just problematic and I don't feel it matches the character of Morgana. If I were to change her... I certainly have the best inspirations for her!

Eda from The Owl House and Mary Jane from Spider Man...

Let's start with Eda... She's basically a rebellious witch, completely relaxed (in the beginning, at least), EXTREMELY powerful, who speaks her mind and is very good at fighting! On the other side, we have Mary Jane... Peter Parker's girlfriend is basically a strong woman, completely debauched, VERY beautiful, a little too loose (if you know what I mean) and also, despite everything... She is a good person who really loves Peter. Mixing these two... It would make Morgana from our Fan Comic! Basically that's it! But there is another factor and here I will pull the hook to another topic...

Several artists who reimagine Morgana in a DT 17 version often make her a black person... I didn't quite understand why... Until I saw that the woman's voice actress is a black person, then everything made sense in my head. However, I have many reservations about this... It has already been said in the series that the Mawcaber Mansion is in Transylvania (I know it's a cliché for monsters to live there, but follow the reasoning). And Transylvania is in Romania, a country (unfortunately) little known. Then I thought... "Technically, Morgana is a witch, which means she's a different race... And she lives in Romania... Technically, you could consider her a foreigner or an immigrant? 🤔".

(For those who are bad at geography, here is a map of where Romania is.)

This opens up something else in my head that... If Morgana lived isolated with her family, in a country that didn't have so many resources... The reason she went to St. Canarian would probably be to really have opportunities! She wanted to have her restaurant and that's why she would have gone to the United States. So, you could say that, in the Comic, she would be an "immigrant" from Romania. Which also comes with the issue of her not being of another "race" and her basically having little social skills... Now you must understand my point... You can say that, in terms of social skills, she is like Drake... In other words, neither of them are good at socializing. And that's why they'll get along so well...

To sum up this whole blog for you... In my AU, Morgana is an immigrant from Romania who dreams of having her own restaurant and that's why she went to St. Canarian. Her and Drake's relationship, in the beginning, was very... Physical... But over time, they both really fell in love. And Morgana's personality... We mixed with Morticia Addams, Mary Jane and Eda. And so, the Morgana of our AU is formed.

I am a novice in Darkwing Duck lore but oooo do I want to make and develop the friendly four versions of the main villains so bad-

Like a egotistical superhero ending up adopting a kid and finding love a sidekick? Amazing, awesome, I love that.

But FOUR misfit superheros finding each other and sticking together, even when everything is going against them, and adopting TWO kids?! Even more amazing, lovely, I adore that, I want more of that.

Anyways take a sketch of Friendly Four Quacker Jack- and some small ideas + brainstorming I have for now

So basically for them, I wanna do the same approach they did with Negaduck; same personality traits, flaws and all, just different scenarios.

Nega Megavolt and Nega Liquidator are easy enough to make heroic; both have a reason to be against Negaduck (don't want to make Nega Liquidator want to poison his competitors tho -even with me going with a corrupt business forced to turn good in harsh situations- probably will be Nega Liquidator trying to stop Negaduck from messing with his products and ends up getting murdered) (Nega Megavolt I can just change Negaduck into being his bully instead of Friend, and the cause of his powers). Also Megavolt already has heroic actions towards his electronics, so that helps (Negavolt still views electronics stuff as sentient, just doesn't think of them as enslaved; maybe he views them as workers or something)

Now for Nega Quackerjack I'm thinking that the Wiffle Boy company still took down his company and drove him to villainy for a bit- but when Negaduck's raise began (and toy bans) Quackerjack turn heroic to stop him; maybe Negaduck even tried to make him serve him while he was still a villain, but that went very very poorly (maybe he somehow met Gosalyn that way, dunno yet). He still holds his grudges against Wiffle Boy, but isn't going to go into a violent rampage over someone playing the game (probably just get judgy about it, unless it's his kids then he'll just try to show him how much better his toys are and eventually one of the other of the four just gotta drag him away and let him mope)

Now for Nega Bushroot, Rhonda was the one who was cruel to him and Gary and Larson were chill. He still wanted to solve world hunger but got rejected still (dunno if it's cause of Negaduck involvement this time or just of the funders greed). That's all I got backstory wise. Thinking of either having him have a lower murder count (or zero murder) or having him murder someone before joining the Friendly Four and it just absolutely worsening into his low self esteem (maybe the guilt is what pushes him towards good and makes him want to stop Negaduck). However I don't want Rhonda dead cause I think she'd be a cool lil villain, so I don't know.

Oh I also got some ideas for Nega Gosalyn's character and Negaduck's relationship with her. So basically Negaduck, as we know, is highly egotistical and craves power and violence. So, in his eyes caring for someone is a sign of weakness; he absolutely refuses to do anything you're supposed to do with a kid (tuck them in, comfort them when scared, be emotionally available for them, etc.) cause it embarrasses him and makes him feel weak. So instead, he just gives Gosalyn all the toys confiscated and lets her live there, thinking that's enough (spoiler alert, it's not enough and leads to Gosalyn feeling both unsafe and unloved). Also, Negaduck being a tyrant and seeing all the havoc he and Nega Launchpad has caused for the town (some frist hand experiences) reaaaally doesn't help her feel any safer.

Nega Gosalyn's well mannered personality is a direct result of these feelings of unsafeness. She still has her spirit (and mischievous nature) and wants to do good, but she's also very scared if she acts out she'll hurt or killed (Negaduck wouldn't actually physically hurt her, but he does verbally threaten to do so when she messes up; yeeeah he should have never gotten a child). So she tries to help the side of good from a safe distance where Negaduck and Launchpad don't notice. Over the time she's adopted by The Friendly Four, her mischievous personality starts to slowly come back.

The Friendly Four is a poly couple.

I think it would be insanely funny if one day, after Nega Gosalyn (and everyone else in the town for that matter) gets readjusted to daily life and schools being open, that her class gets a new student and she turns her head only to see Nega Honker at the door. And they both just stare at each other like

Naturally they do not get along (their poor teacher, first had to deal with teaching a bunch of behind students who most definitely are still traumatized from Negaduck's rule, and now she gotta keep Nega Gosalyn and Nega Honker from beating each other to a pulp) (Nega Gosalyn would totally throw hands for her close friend and now brother Tank) (Nega Tank is older so he's in a higher grade)

It's like 1am, this post might be a jamble of a mess but I'm sleepy so I'm leaving it as is. If you actually read this far, thank you and I hope you like my lil ideas!
