Thoughts on MaeChi (Maehara x Chiba) and IsoHaya (Isogai x Hayami)

Vamos lá, desculpe a demora, eu estava refletindo muito sobre ambos os ships! ^^

I loved pairing the Sniper Duo with the Ikemen Duo!

I imagine they became closer after a plan for the assassination they had to work on together since the Ikemen Duo are the best knife fighters in the room and the Sniper Duo I think is self explanatory.

And teamwork would bring them a little closer and I imagine Koro-sensei praising them saying that if they worked together more often they could kill him and also improve his second blade.

They actually follow Koro-sensei's advice, and pair up: Isogai and Hayami, Maehara and Chiba.

In the beginning it was really just them training and they get close in little things for example, Isohaya: both despite being considered better in one area of assassination, they are also skilled in the other, I imagined Rinka helping Yuuma to be an even better marksman and him training to fight with knives with Hayami and highly praising her skill! They are also featured in Social Studies and I have Headcannon that if Isogai had the time (and money) for books he would be a frequent reader and Rinka is canonically a bookworm, imagine after a workout they started studying together and then finding out that they both do you like to read? I'm sure they would meet more often.

With the Maechi I think it would be a little different, they also trained together, but they still prefer the original pairs (at least Chiba in the beginning) but I imagine the second blade part would shine here, both are good at math, I imagine a scenario in Ryuunosuke is studying advanced calculus and is already a little tired and then Maehara appears (probably after being scolded for something) and Chiba asks him to wait a bit so he doesn't lose his train of thought, and Maehara simply looks at the paper and starts to resolve the matter, and if they started studying together and taking Maehara's personality into account it wouldn't take long for them to be friends and leave school.

As soon as they evolved into friends that the first feelings would arise. The first to fall in love would be Isogai and Chiba, Hayami would be slower to realize his feelings and Maehara is a womanizer who would take time to realize that he is not straight and that Chiba liked him.

I imagine that since the ships are best friends they would go out together and it was on one of these outings that Maehara flirted with Hayami (he thought Isogai liked Megu) and is clearly rejected, and Isogai and Chiba get slightly jealous, but Isogai hides it better .

And at some point after that, Isogai comments that he has feelings for Hayami to Maehara, and since here the Isohaya are closer, he knows that Sniper Duo is not a couple, but he may think that Hayami likes Chiba. Maehara being a good best friend will want to help.

Whether it's to confirm if Chiba has romantic feelings for Rinka, or to try to find out what she likes without looking like he's trying to flirt with her again, Maehara will ask Chiba to join the "Isohaya Junction Team" and, my God, the tactics he would try to use to get Isogai to confess to Rinka would actually make Chiba stop and ask how stupid and cute he can be at the same time. And also ask Isogai if Maehara was always like this.

Meanwhile Yuuma would have decided to make a simple cat-themed gift to deliver to Rinka (who had already begun to realize her own feelings) and call her out on a date, Maehara would probably call Chiba to celebrate their joining as a couple of friends and it was in that point that the one with the bangs can no longer deny his feelings.

I'm sure he would ask Hayami and Isogai for help with Maehara who - even though Rinka thinks he gets someone less womanizing ehhh and with more neurons than Maehara - decide to help.

Now if the plans for joining Isohaya were crazy (on account of Hiroto) the plans for Maechi were surprisingly cute and ""normal"".

The first step was to find out if Maehara liked boys, the question asked discreetly. After that and confirming that Hiroto wasn't with anyone at the moment, they would have a lot of dates. As if Isogai and Hayami called them to the same place without Maehara knowing and when the Ikemen Duo finds the Sniper Duo they decide to join since they are in the same place and after a while Isohaya would move away a little, and Hiroto clearly understands that couples like time alone, so he just stays close to Ryuunosuke and after a while in that situation Chiba would make a kind of indirect statement, without saying that she liked him with the words themselves. Poor Maehara would have been completely confused and feeling like an idiot for not realizing both his own and Ryuunosuke's senses earlier.

It would take a week for them to start going out as a couple.

Isohaya would be a really cute couple and I love that my girl Hayami would finally get some love after years of no one really caring about her.

Maechi, on the other hand, would be that funny couple who are a bit opposite, but who love each other very much.

Good question!! Honestly I snuck up on me? I saved the big goof and sorta focused on that mostly? But I think over time I honestly started to fall for him without even knowinf until after a while it just struck me.

Though he’d like to say it was something cheesy I bet! He hasn’t ever truly said exactly when he fell for me, he always changes the subject. I think it’s a little bit of a flustering question for him actually. Which is frankly, adorable.

“What a wise question, Koro-sensei. It’s a lot more familial than a mere friendship to be honest, although it didn’t started well. Years ago when she and her adopted siblings Harry & Kairi were beginning to move on from the time period they were separated since the latter 2′s adoption, I already have a reputation of one of the world’s most notorious supervillains and was planning to steal the Moon and I had assumed that they should be wary of me due to my then current reputation. But then they and the Gurls came into my life more often and I eventually began to warm up to them so much so that I had to rescue them from Vector’s clutches, and they became one of the major reasons why I ended up being a top Anti-Villain League agent that I am today.

I feel honored to be her inside guide to the world of brilliant and insane inventions, Minions, and supervillain/super agent antics. The Gurls adore and look up to her well, especially Margo, and Lucy also treats her like she was almost related to us in spite of no blood relations. And the Minions: they get pretty excited to meet up with her whenever she drops by, although they have to be careful not to get her upset due to her sensory overload issues.

As for what kind of fun we do? I usually let her, Harry, and Kairi visit the lab to see what I and Doctor Nefario are working on as long as the Minions don’t do any harm on them. My library is filled with a lot of books, and I know very clearly that she LOVES books so I would often have some reading time with her and the Gurls in there, although Margo is more attentive of the three and Edith and Agnes are still young at the moment. There are also usual weekend gatherings like Movie Night and S’Mores Night, and oh yes, we like the rest of the fam bunch enjoy loving video games a lot. She can get highly competitive at times though.

This is my Assassination Classroom self insert!!

They’re human but they’re lowkey modified cause of something stupid they did. They managed to meet with a group of humanoid like cryptids one time and in order to get in good ties with them they had to drink this thing only that species could. It modified their body a bit in a way of that they can breath underwater and also some other gases that humans usually can’t. That’s it tho.

Cause of this they’re technically part of an SCP like organization that keeps an eye on them. They can’t do anything, but it’s more like since they’re modified in that kinda way it’s just kinda protocol. But in return of basically having put a microchip in them and sometimes testing how their body is modified they pretty much get a free place, free food, free money, etc. as well as keeping quiet about it ya know.

They learn about Koro sensei from that secret underground organization. The organization doesn’t actually intervene, they’re just aware of his existence

But they manage to travel where Koro sensei is and are enthusiastic to meet him and want to do things like interview him. He’s taken aback and confused but seeing their no harm probably doesn’t really care nor have a problem. Also he probably likes the ego stroking.

They end up getting to know him the more they visit and interview him. And they start coming just to see him and spend time with him, as they begin to develop genuine feelings for him at one point. And he starts developing feelings for them as well.

I actually made some other characters from the facility that’s are my self insert’s friends, but haven’t thought of names yet. I’ll post about them when I’ve thought of more stuff.

They’re also skilled in hacking and breaking into things and places, as their long life passion involves a lot of getting past security of certain places.

Tickling 101

warning tickle fic, spoilers for assassination classroom. this is purely self indulgent NO SHIPS this takes place around s2e20, so they know koro sensei's past. Korosensei sees Nagisa tickling Kayano and has no idea what it is, so the students show him. ler nagisa, kayano and nakamura and karma lee korosensei he/him for Nagisa and karma she/her for Nakamura and Kayano it/they/he for koro sensei (koro sensei is my fav so imma wreck him)

Korosensei was tidying up the classroom, which was already almost spotless there were only a few students of class 3-E left, Karma, Kayano, Nagisa, and Rio. Karma was packing his things, whilst talking to Rio, who was waiting for him and Nagisa was...? what was he doing to Kayano? And why is she laughing?

"Nagisa-Kun" Korosensei started, Nagisa looked up from his task. "yes Korosensei?" he replied. "What are you...doing to Kayano-san?" he questioned. Nagisa looked down to Kayano "oh this?" he drilled his fingers in her hips, she started giggling again. "I'm just tickling her sensei"

Korosensei looked confused "ti-ticke-tickel?" he attempted to pronounce. Nagisa giggled. "no sensei! Tickling" he was astounded he never expected koro sensei to not know what this simple thing was, of course, it made sense for him to not know, as his childhood was......well not the greatest.

"well, sensei, tickling is where you basically lightly touch someone in certain areas, and they laugh as a result this can be different for different people." Korosensei still looked confused. "basically, you might be laugh hard when tickled on your neck, or not laugh at all"

Kayano looked interested, "hey koro sensei, would you like to find out if you are ticklish" Korosensei still looked confused, and nervous. "ah hehe, well... I still don't really understand" Nagisa sighed "well how about we show you"

They looked scared and nervous. "w-will it hurt?" he asked, his voice small. "oh, oh no Korosensei! it doesn't hurt!" Kayano reassured.

"w-well, if your sure...okay I trust you" it decided. Kayano and Nagisa grinned. "okay, we will be gentle and slow, so don't worry." he looked up at koro sensei awkwardly, "err, sir could you sit down you are kinda..tall" he chuckled, showing green stripes. "nurufufufu, of course, Nagisa" he sat down

Nagisa scribbled his fingers over where koro sensei's stomach should be, and koro sensei started giggling and squirming a bit.

"wahahat ihihis thihis?" They questioned, giggling.

Nagisa giggled. "this is tickling sir, and you are ticklish it seems" Korosensei turned pink. "ihihit fehehels lihihike ihihm beheheing elehehctrocuhuted" Nagisa chuckled. "let's see where else you're ticklish!" he moved his hand to where his ribs would be, koro sensei started full-on laughing. "WAHAHAHIT KEKEKE" his laughter was not like his usual nurufufufu laugh, it was more bubbly, dorky, and deeper pitched, kinda cute in a way. "NAGIHIHISAHAH" his face went even pinker. "WHIHIHY AHAHAM I LAHAHAHUGHING NOTHIHIHNGS FUHUNNY" Korosensei tried to stay as still as possible, as to not harm Nagisa. They didn't even notice Kayano behind them until it was too late. She went for his back.

koro sensei screamed

"AAAAAAAHAHAHA WAHAHAHAIHHT"

They couldn't handle it! their only thoughts were "it tickles it tickles it tickles!"

"NAGIHIHISAHAHAAA KAHAHAYAHAHNOHOHO"

He was sitting on the floor, Nagisa nearly sitting in his lap, and Kayano basically holding him up from behind.

they stopped, giving koro sensei a much-needed break. Korosensei could easily run away with his Mach 20 speed, however.... he didn't. Nagisa took notice of this and snorted. "you know you can push me away right?" he then poked right under koro senseis head, not a neck but close... and he hiccuped then snorted, and started giggling. "ehehehek *hic* nahahagihisaahaha *hic*" Korosensei all but melted, as did Nagisa's heart."awwwh look, Kayano he likes it!" he said with a giggle. "you bet he does, if I wasn't holding him up he would be melting into the floor, Nagisa." "aww look his face is so pink Kayano!"

Korosensei was beyond embarrassed, how would he not be? his students were basically in his lap, teasing him because he was...ticklish? he was still getting used to that word.

"well well, it seems even monster octopuses are ticklish"

Nagisa turned around then saw Karma and Rio smirking.

"yeah, Karma he really is" Rio agreed with a mischievous look in her eyes. If koro sensei turned any more shades of pink, he might just die right then and there. Nagisa grinned. "wanna help out guys?" he asked them. Rio and Karma both shared looks of amusement. "we would love to." then they walked over to koro sensei. "Kayano, move over real quick," Nagisa said as he pushed koro sensei gently to the floor.

"wahait students pleheEHE" they shrieked as Karma scribbled his fingers over its ribs. "damn, you sure weren't kidding when you said this was a gold mine, Nagisa."

Korosensei was in a ticlish hell. Nagisa was scribbling his fingers around their stomach, Rio was squeezing its hips, Karma was scratching at their ribs, and to top it all off, Kayano was just standing there saying words that made it feel...fuzzy.

"AHAHA STUUHUHUDEHEHENTS NUHUHU IHI CAHAHNT MEHERCCEHEHY MERCEHEHY" they screeched

"ohokay let's give him a break guys, they looks like they're about to explode," Kayano said, her eyes fluttering with amusement.

Korosensei was panting, stray giggles poking out of its mouth they were laying down on his classroom floor, two students on each side of them as two others near its head.

"sensei geez, had no idea you were ticklish," Rio said amused.

Korosensei blushed. "wehell I dihidnt know eihether" it argued. they still had this fuzzy feeling, they didn't know what it was. All it knew was that it yearned for the touch of his students now. and why was it so flustered?!

"whyhy aham I so gihiggly?" they asked, confused. Kayanos eyes lit up.

"awwwh look at them! they just found out what tickling is, poor thing I can't believe this" Kayano said not unkindly.

"yeah.. hey koro sensei.. when was the last time you have been hugged.. like for longer than a few seconds..?" Nagisa asked questionably. Korosensei turned a light shade of blue. "wehell... I don't remember to be honest"

Nagisa and Kayano frowned, whilst Rio looked saddened and karma..looked thoughtful. Then all of the sudden, Nagisa, Rio, and Kayano all hugged them tight! it flinched at first, a few stray giggles poking out of their mouth, then relaxed immediately as they longed for this type of contact for the months he had been with class 3-E.

Then Karma helped ruined it by sitting next to it and tickling where his face connected with its body. That's when they truly melted, giggling while it did so. it was glad to have its students. They taught them things they never knew about themself, like this... errr tickling thing. Or, how to care. they were such a lucky sensei!

"Well, are you feeling alright sensei," Nagisa asked. Korosensei smiled at him.

"well, ill always feel alright with my students by my side," korosensei said warmly.

I saw a really fun post by Zaina (@dreaming-of-assclass) asking why people like Gakushuu and I thought it was super fun! I realized I have a lot to say about that little shit, and I didn’t want to hijack the original post because I’m about to spam, so is why I like Gakushuu Asano, and a mini commentary on what makes an intersting character, interesting

I think I’ll put this under a read-more because it’s actually kinda long.

(Note: I don’t actually know things. This is just me rambling)

This is pretty self explanatory - we’re empathetic creatures, and having a sad backstory trope is a pretty quick and easy way to get us to sympathize with a character. You don’t have to necessarily have previously liked/paid attention to a character to feel bad for them, but feeling bad for someone is a first step to emotionally connecting with them. And we feel bad for Gakushuu, right? When he shows vulnerability and weakness, cowering in front of the Principal beating his friends bloody or being slapped across the room. We say, aww, poor boy. The concept of someone facing adversary and getting back up just tugs at people’s heartstrings.

And then we have character development: the redemption arc. (I’m going to say as a precursor that apart from the kids and Koro-sensei, Assclass sucks at redemption arcs. Gakuhou?? Shiromi?? @ me.) But Gakushuu got a pretty nice character arc to follow through. I loved watching my boy grow up, realize his mistakes, and work towards being a better person! It works especially well if you relate to the character, you start to reflect more about yourself. Dynamic change arcs are more interesting than static characters that reflect no shift from start to finish (if this storyline didn’t change them, how is it supposed to change you?). And compelling character stories don’t even have to reflect good change - I’m sure we all look at characters who slowly delve into insanity and think, yes, good. Humans just love introspection - what else is there to think about if not yourself and others, and how we react to the world around us?

Gakushuu also often subverts expectations. We keep track of unusual and unpredictable situations because we want to know what up next? He debuts with dramatic music as boy-with-book, and then the next time we see him is him pulling out pictures of Koro-sensei in the Principal’s office. The scene from Gakushuu kicking Isogai’s face in during the Pole-toppling tournament and then the immediate switch to watching his friends get their faces kicked in was a shock. Then the next time we see him is his sad backstory, and then he’s asking 3-E for help. It’s spicy. Unpredictable. The character equivalent of a cliffhanger. We take notice of him because we don’t know what happens next, we watch him closely because whatever happens to him is closely tied to the 3-E kids - even if you dislike him, you’re kind of forced to pay attention to him. For anyone ambivalent, thinking more about a character just makes you feel more emotions about them.

Relatable characters: We tend to attach to characters we see ourselves in! One of the most common relatable factors I’ve seen are their character backstories/circumstances, and Gakushuu has a pretty run-of-the-mill storyline, with overbearing parental pressure to do well in school. Half of us probably looked at him and said, “yep, that’s me aged fourteen”. I definitely did. One of the reasons I attached to him is the point I figured out that as much of I would like to think I was one of the 3-E cast, I would 100% be part of the Main Campus if I was 14, jeering and booing and all. It definitely made me more sympathetic towards the Main Campus cast.

If not for their backstories, we relate to characters with their personalities, and their goals/motivations. (That’s why people often relate to villains - it’s easy to admire the altruism of our hero protagonist but it’s hard to imagine standing in their shoes, and it’s so much simpler to want to be selfish.) Gakushuu’s goals are surprisingly mundane and fun, he just wants to get As, get into a good high school, get the upper hand over his abusive father, and figure out the secret of class 3-E. You can bet that if I was in Assclass, my middle name would be paparazzi and my hobby would be hiding out in bushes.

And Gakushuu has one of the most compelling character interactions with other characters. We love watching our favs interact with other people! That’s why shipping is so common, because a character floating in isolation isn’t very interesting on it’s own, and the fun comes the rapport and dynamics between them. Rarepairs, undeveloped side characters, and OCs are new, unique sets of character interactions/interpretations, which is why they’re so fun. AUs allow you to dump them into whole new situations and have them re-interact with others in different circumstances! Where was I? Gakushuu is just wild. The Asano family dynamics are just... insane. Every interaction Gakushuu has with 3-E is just so unpredictable. Is he going to help them? Kick them in the face? Ask them for help? Who knows. I love it.

Personality wise, the characters I think people tend to lean towards are characters they think they are alike, characters they are the complete opposite of, and characters that remind them of people they know. If your fav falls into one of those three categories it’s just more likely that their name will pop up more often in your head. Drawing real life connections to fictional things also makes you feel more empathetic towards the fiction.

(A digression: most MCs are the most plain of the bunch, because you get to project more onto them! They’re a blank slate for you to imagine yourself in, and they typically have very safe mild but positive personality traits, because you want to associate yourself with someone kind.)

Not so much of character writing but more of just how AssClass manages comedy: every situation 3-E faces is treated with equal weight. Oh no, someone tried to poison them and drown them and kill them! Oh no, they have to put on a school play and they’re going to fail their midterms! It’s hilarious. Gakushuu’s debut is especially funny because we have 3-E coming down from the immediate previous crisis of their teacher who gave them broken ribs, and then (cue dramatic music) their next equally daunting situation: midterms. Their next recurring antagonist: a boy that studies a little bit too much. It’s downright hysterical, and it’s why Gakushuu caught my attention in the first place.
