Admin update time! I’ll be scheduling posts for CHiRAL BEST (a N+C compilation CD set), SLIP ON THE PUMPS, & -DMMd period.- very soon! I’m also working on uploading the DMMd OVA (JP with ENG subs & the ENG dub) since I just got my hands on the Blu-Ray set for the anime. I may get around to doing the entire series at some point, but only if it looks like there’s a lot of interest for it — it’s available to stream legally pretty easily, so it’s not a high priority on my list at the moment.
The next batch of print media scans will likely be the re:code Material Book (sorry this has been so delayed — my health has not been great lately so I haven’t had the time to scan it fully 😅), a selection of COSMODE pages, & a few stage bromides. I do have a handful of new acquisitions that will be shipping to sbhg headquarters either sometime later this month or early next month, but I’ll update the static masterlists once they’re on the way here.
One last thing of note: for full transparency, this account is run by an adult well over 18. I realized earlier today that I hadn’t put any indicators of this on here before, so I’ve rectified that & added it to the about section of the static masterlist pages. (You could likely guess around how old I am based on how long I’ve been into DMMd for though, haha.)

OK SO here's that separate post i was talking about in the tags of my last rb
i recently learned* you can have completely normal levels of total testosterone but high levels of "free" testosterone (testosterone that your body can use). your body has sex hormone binding globules (sbhg's) which bind to, well, sex hormones, and prevent them from working to regulate the levels of sex hormones more accurately. if those levels are low for whatever reason, it means that more of the testosterone in your body is available for use. while i'm sure that's not the only potential cause, my point is that you VERY MUCH can have "normal" levels of testosterone (if we ever figure out what those are) and have "hyperandrogenism" (loaded term because hirsutism is usually the main symptom and has a...pretty racist history but you get the point).
as a note on that though, low shbg levels can often be associated with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which can cause health issues beyond just hyperandrogenism. so if you have hyperandroginism caused by that, it's worth looking into other issues you may have possibly being related!
tl;dr there are LOTS of reasons for "hyperandroginism", and yes, sometimes (probably more frequently than the medical system wants to admit) it just Happens due to natural variations! but also, in some cases it can be associated with other issues. so if you have issues that you have yet to find any reasonable explanation for and symptoms of high testosterone, it's worth looking into hormonal imbalances/related conditions because sex hormones DO interact with other hormones and body processes and that's important to keep in mind!
*by "recently learned" i mean i was going through old bloodwork and found out that this was the case for me pre-t because my doctor just said "yeah your testosterone is highish" and didn't elaborate. qed, it can be very beneficial to learn to read your own bloodwork (i know at least for usamericans, quest diagnostics lets you access your bloodwork online and has short descriptions of each test's meaning, but you can easily find more detailed ones online!)

An Easter Tradition is made-anew at 7 Branches
Sonoma was blessed to have mostly sunny weather for the Easter Sunday Brunch on March 31 at 7 Branches. The beautiful weather was definitely part of the success of the family-friendly holiday event.
Farm-to-to-table gourmet cuisine was most certainly appreciated and enjoyed by more than 200 attendees that morning at 11:00 AM. Some of them came as far as Oakland and the East Bay Area to celebrate Easter with family. Guests were served peach Bellini and fresh-squeezed orange Mimosa cocktails as they entered.
The entire venue space was decorated with soft pastel tablecloths, napkins and all the amenities befitting an elegant spring celebration. “It’s like we are guests at a wedding,” said longtime Sonoma resident Mary Oswald. “It’s first class all the way,” she added, I’m very impressed.”
Oswald had been invited by friend Mandy Cohen of Cohen Consulting Group to enjoy this unique holiday celebration opportunity provided by 7 Branches.
In addition to the plentiful amount of just about anything one might imagine for a holiday brunch buffet, Sonoma Best Hospitality Group the owner-proprietor of 7 Branches also offered fresh-baked ham and an excellent, ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ prime rib. It was tender and flavorful; with both an aujus and a horseradish sauce on the side.
Pastries of many kinds were abundant as was a selection of fresh-squeezed juice that could rival any spa or resort. Health-conscious mixtures like wheatgrass, ginger and carrot were available. And while non-alcoholic beverages were served there also was a full bar for those that wanted something with liquor in the libations.
“We aim to create memorable experiences and activities,” said Vanessa Arriola, speaking on behalf of SBHG. As Director of Operations, Arriola knows how important a holiday event can be, especially for families and visitors from out of town. “Experiences that we foster can be focused around culinary, agriculture, wine, spirits-mixology, food pairings, cheese classes, educational, wellness, games, and more,” she added.
Live music was also provided by Chance McCauley and his band, much to the delight of the guests, who applauded after each set of songs.
While the brunch was definitely family-friendly and community focused, with a visit from the Easter Bunny, it was also an ideal place for entertaining clients, as Cohen Consulting Group owner Mandy Cohen noted. “With tax season my office is always busy, even on weekends. Yet, I’m very glad I took the time to get away and enjoy this place. I haven’t been here since it was Ramekins.”
Nestled along Spain Street, West adjacent to The General’s Daughter, SBHG took over the venue in 2019, when it also acquired the General’s Daughter. “As a collective of one-of-a-kind brands, (which includes several other venue locations) “we are committed to honoring the culture and history of Sonoma and elevating the hospitality experience for our guests,” said Arriola.
According to USA Today the percentage of people working during a holiday is as much as almost 24 percent. “Who has the time to do something like this?” Exclaimed Oswald, “The time and effort it takes to prepare and cook all the food, it can be exhausting,” she added.
Both Oswald and Cohen were pleased and relished the chance to meet people and make the acquaintance of Beth Rivelli, a coaching and mentoring consultant and her husband John. Originally from Chicago, they now live in Sonoma. Oswald was surprised and pleased that Beth and John were from Chicago because, “I am from a small town near Peoria, Illinois.”
The Rivelli’s are familiar with the rural areas of Illinois, which like Oswald was another reason why they chose to live in Sonoma.
“We love it here,” said Beth. “And, attending this brunch is a highlight of living in Wine Country,” she said. As an owner of a coaching and consulting business, Rivelli was delighted with all that SBHG had to offer for the Easter holiday. “As people who have traveled so many places especially to Europe, Sonoma is the closest to what one would experience in Italy or the Mediterranean,” said John.
“I would like to do something like this again,” said Oswald as she walked up to the buffet to get a second helping of Eggs Benedict and was pleased with the copious amounts of beacon, scalloped potatoes and sausage.”
With the Easter Brunch a delightful and happy success, Oswald as well as Cohen are considering attending the upcoming Pinot & Pizza events this summer hosted and catered by SBHG.

Idk if I’m ever gonna expand this more or not, but uh...here I guess. It’s long so, you know, below the cut.
I.
Alright, so the whole barista gig was kind of an accident.
He never planned on keeping the job, let alone taking it to begin with, or enjoying it for that matter, but the added income was nice. Very nice. Rugged barista by day, suave bartender by night. And all the tips he could flirt out of his patrons.
When Marlene had called him a few months prior, flustered and with the droning of a busy coffee shop in the background, he'd never planned on being her backup barista because he “already knew health and safety regulations, and could pick up new recipes like some sort of mixology savant". Still, a few hours later he'd been wearing an apron, a headset, and making drinks faster than Marlene’s most seasoned barista.
He begrudgingly admitted to enjoying the busy afternoon and once they worked out his schedule around his first job, she printed off his new hire paperwork. His roommates -Remus and James- got a nice chuckle out of his drink-industry dual-career. He practiced his rude sign language vocabulary in retaliation.
It wasn't until three months into the day job that Sirius got jarred out of the rhythmic monotony of making caffeinated drinks when he glanced at the morning queue and saw the single most adorable creature he'd ever seen. He was so stunned that he'd nearly burned himself on the steamer, and then he lost his rhythm, second guessing the recipe for the drink he'd been making on autopilot a moment before.
“Um...Hi. Sorry, I rarely come here,” he heard her say to Marlene at the counter. “Ah...I'll take a venti mocha with 3 pumps of peppermint syrup, an extra shot of espresso, and extra whip please.”
He'd been vibrating with impatience while Marlene took her sweet time entering the order into the computer before asking the beauty's name.
“Hermione, but...um...just ‘Mione is probably faster to write? M-I-O-N-E.”
“Helen's daughter,” he said aloud, unthinkingly. She turned towards him and he tried his damndest not to trip over his words. “Are your parents history buffs or Shakespeare fans?”
Everything from her wild curls to her whiskey-brown eyes brightened when she gave him a perfect, albeit small, smile. “Both.”
He grinned and got to work on her drink, taking care to craft it with more than his usual attention to detail. She blessed him with another smile when he called her name - her full name.
“Thank you,” she said.
“Anytime, love,” he replied.
Marlene threw him odd looks until the rush died down, long after the lovely Hermione had left the shop. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you look at a girl like that before, Sirius,” she said as she helped him wipe down the drink station.
“Do you know her?” he asked.
Marlene shrugged. “I know of her. That is, assuming there’s only one Hermione at HU.”
Sirius nearly dropped one of the milk cartons he was restocking his under-counter mini fridge with, and he did fumble with the fresh whipped cream canister that fell over as a result. “She goes to Hogwarts?” he hissed, only just remembering that he couldn’t shout when customers were around. “What does she major in?”
Marlene frowned in thought while trying to scrub a dried pool of hazelnut syrup from the counter. “Creative Writing, I think? Something in Arts & Humanities. She might a double major actually. Lils told me that people call her mad, but that she’s a really sweet girl so long as you aren’t in her way. That said, I’m pretty sure Malfoy’s been chasing her tail this term. He was in here talking about a ‘feisty little bint’ that would ‘come around eventually’ the other day.”
“Which Malfoy?” he asked. “Draco, Lucius, or Abraxas?”
“Draco mostly,” she said. “Abraxas didn’t sound disinterested, and Lucius was dreadfully bored by the whole discussion.”
“As he should be,” Sirius grumbled under his breath. “He’s engaged to my cousin.”
“He made a comment about being engaged and they teased him about it,” said Marlene.
Sirius gave a noncommittal grunt. “Well, I hope that she doesn’t ‘come around’ to either still-single Malfoy triplet. She deserves better.”
“You don’t know her,” Marlene said in a sing-song voice.
No, he thought. I don’t. But I want to.

Review: It’s a truth universally acknowledged that a Sirius x Hermione time-travel fanfiction must always occur only if Hermione knows about Pettigrew’s betrayal - or is it? Most Sirimione stories often have Hermione take to the Marauders easily – and I’m here to tell you that this story does neither of that.
Hermione’s lack of awareness about Sirius’ innocence changes the nature of the interactions she has with him – and also makes it more fulfilling when she comes to like him despite what she thinks of him. There were times in the beginning that Hermione and Lily’s forcible resistance to the Marauders was irritating, but as the story unfolds, each character grows into their own and this annoyance goes away.
However, there’s something in me that wishes the plot progressed faster. The story’s focus on a slow-burn and dramatic story does not provide the reader with action heavy scenes, but that doesn’t excuse the slow-pace of the story. In some respects, this story is a victim of the fact that the reader has more knowledge than the characters in the story – an aspect which makes us impatient for Hermione to learn the things that we already know.
The writing of the story is well-done, and the examination of the Marauder’s era done by a Hermione who knows virtually nothing about the original Harry Potter series is good. I look forward to seeing how this story progresses.

what we make of loss — a trilogy | sbhg (endgame). lily/james and other ships background. chaptered. three instalments. time travel. first wizarding war with voldermort and everything that implies. subterfuge. magical creatures. grief. disability. death. coming of age in the middle of a war you are an active part of. fate and knowledge of the future. exile and displacement. finding solace in each other. inspired by natalie wee's poem "Asami Writes to Korra for Three Years". this is essentially my time travel sbhg marauder magnum opus. a complete behemoth. ahead is the summary for the first instalment, An Elegy To Flight.
The summer before seventh year finds Sirius Black’s life invaded by two unwelcome guests. The first is the grief that comes from his father’s sudden death, as unexpected as it is surprisingly debilitating. It’s been well over a year since he has walked away from his atrocious past and family, and yet everything flows back into his sore heart—the love in his childhood, the resentment in his youth, the responsibilities he’s shirked and the brother he’s abandoned in his quest for freedom.
The second: the strange, bushy-haired wreck of a girl who’s been entrusted to the Potters by none other than Headmaster Dumbledore. She’s as gone as he’s ever seen a girl be, besides those Lovegoods, and she flips the Potter household on its head to boot—turning James a paranoid and Mrs. Potter a worry-wart. Pitiful that she is, what with her broken magic and all, Sirius refuses to play nice—after all, once this summer’s up, he’ll never have to see her again.

The summer of 1979, Sirius Black is invited onto a project by none other than his Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, renowned curse breaker Hermione Granger. Then again, it’s not much of an invitation if they’ve got a wand against a lad’s throat, is it?

after the ministry of magic passes a law penalizing purebloods with the confiscation of their goods and services, both the technically still legally dead sirius black and the soon to be married harry potter face some trouble. when fellow war hero potter comes to her for advice, hermione decides to exploit the situation by offering to marry sirius, giving her muggleborn-self a lovely chance at seizing a wizengamot spot just before the international confederation of wizards starts their hearings on the modifications to statute of secrecy.
lovesong (in each other's arms) | sbhg. one-shot. soul bond. sirius returns from the veil. unspeakable hermione. emotional. it's a bit about depression and loneliness. but it's also just about how fucked up your twenties are. and also death.
Becoming an Unspeakable was not the career path that anybody thought Hermione Granger would choose but it was the one she found herself careening down like an unwilling sacrifice in the myth of Theseus. Except that at the end of her Ariadne’s thread there was no Minotaur but that which her very soul had unknowingly pursued: The Veil of Death.

on harry's suggestion, hermione brings sirius aboard her new research project. excited by the prospect of magical invention again, sirius eagerly accepts the invitation—including the trip to italy at the end—but while both are thrilled by their easy companionship, neither is prepared by the simmering attraction that accompanies it.

The people that look back at the special Auror Task Force from within the ruins of a failed summoning circle are merely muggles—from fifty years in the past, true. But muggles all the same.

every time i put myself fully into a fandom i find myself with an ever increasing folder of unfinished fics so here i’m rounding up my hp ones just to have an easy list to get back to when im not on my computer
for those of us with memory. time travel, order of the phoenix, parallel timelines/in medias res, prof hermione, slight age difference (both ways), more on the angsty side. possibly chaptered but who knows. sbhg.
after everything goes to hell, ron and harry send hermione back to the past so she can influence the past enough to save them. hermione successfully moonlights as a dada professor for most of the marauders’ time at hogwarts while pursuing the horcrux business but a suspicious dumbledore throws a wrench into her plans when he assigns sirius black as her partner for order missions.
what we make of loss. time travel, student hermione, ensemble cast, exile/displacement. accidental magic. uh, chronic illness maybe? definitely some depression there. very coming of age. chaptered (unfortunately long). sbhg.
a bad spell sends hermione hurtling back into the summer before the marauders start their seventh year. because she cannot stay at hogwarts during the summer, hermione is placed in the “care” of one sirius black whose bad attempts at figuring her out she must field while tending to the damage the spell has wrecked on her magic and figuring out how the fuck she’s gonna go home.

some years after the war hermione decides that her favourite person in the world is sirius black and that she wants to spend more time with him. as they grow closer, sirius finds himself starting to have feelings for her and launches into a very critical examination on whether or not acting on it is proper.
lovesong / we chose to dance. soul bond. unspeakable hermione. sirius comes back from the veil. angsty and melancholic but cathartic i think. one-shot likely. maybe two if its lucky. sbhg.
after the war, hermione becomes an unspeakable and slowly but surely stops speaking to everybody in her life. in an attempt to remediate things when she realizes how deteriorated her relationships are, she dives into her work and finds a way to bring sirius back from the veil. he is, understandably, very pissed off -- but bringing sirius back creates a bond between them that is unbreakable and forces them to be together. in this forced intimacy, sirius and hermione try to build their lives anew.
mine is all as hungry as the sea. period au, kind of. it’s very anachronistic. alternate universe. no voldemort. twelfth night remake, honestly. crossdressing/genderbend/genderfluid hermione. everybody is very gay and very trans but most of all hermione. intended this as an honest exploration of gender and sexuality. sadly explicit. one-shot. lily/james/sirius/hermione.
after she is denied a place in hogwarts’ college of spellcrafting for being a girl, hermione granger disguises herself as her cousin in order to break in and take the classes she so rightfully deserves. but her skill doesn’t go unnoticed and soon she is roped into being lord james potter’s squire/hand. despite her best attempts, she falls in love with him, only for him to send her off to win the hand of the society of potioneer’s best witch: lily evans... who falls in love with her instead. and then sirius finds out her secret. all in all, it’s a bit of a mess.
i dreamt of you all summer long. canon, maybe. possible a bit of a divergence or a no voldemort au. songfic. cheating. taylor swift’s fault. one-shot. lily/james and sirius/james. POSSIBLY one-sided remus/sirius.
one summer, james cheats on lily with sirius. except nobody knows if james and lily are actually dating or whether sirius and james actually fucked or if sirius and lily are a thing either.

potter has had a rivalry with the malfoy daughter nearly his entire life but as the war rears its ugly head at hogwarts’ doors, nothing seems like it was before. for her part, livia “livy” malfoy has little care or time to tend to a childish potter’s confusion when she’s dealing with plenty on her own -- namely the strange memories of a past life coming to haunt her. except... that past seems more like a horrible, horrible future.
#i always like to make little lists like this so i can come back and see how my view of the plot changed.#i had one of these for my kpop fics but i changed like half of those to novel ideas#i dont think most of these have potential for that but i'd still like to write them#the moral of the story is never give a pen to a lion#the last one is the one i have worked on less but i think it sounds fun#i just really like the idea of memories coming back to her#but i need to think more about to make it like. appropriate.
