November 29th

2009 - Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle's album became the best-selling debut in UK chart history when it went to No.1 on the UK chart. The 48 year-old runner-up in ITV's Britain's Got Talent, sold 410,000 copies of ‘I Dreamed a Dream’. Boyle also topped the US charts, setting a first-week sales record for a female debut album with 701,000 copies sold in its first week.

2007 - Lynyrd Skynyrd

Former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle, a convicted sex offender, was arrested for failing to properly register a new permanent address. The 59-year-old had pleaded guilty in 1993 to charges of attempted capital sexual battery by an adult on a victim younger than 12 and being principal to lewd and lascivious behavior on a child younger than 16. He was sentenced to eight years of probation.

2002 - Paul McCartney

Three paintings by Sir Paul McCartney were bought for just £35 each at the Secrets Postcard Sale at London's Royal College of Art. Members of the public gambled on whether they were buying works by celebrity artists at a fraction of their value, as a picture's creator was only made known after it has sold.

2001 - George Harrison

Beatles guitarist George Harrison died in Los Angeles of lung cancer aged 58. Following the breakup of The Beatles Harrison had a successful career as a solo artist and later as part of the Traveling Wilburys. The youngest member of The Beatles, (aged 16 when he joined), his compositions include ‘Taxman’, ‘Here Comes the Sun’, ‘Something’, and ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’. Harrison released the acclaimed triple album, All Things Must Pass, in 1970, from which came the worldwide No.1 single 'My Sweet Lord.'

1997 - Lou Reed

'Perfect Day' performed by various artists including Elton John, Bono, Tom Jones & David Bowie went to No.1 on the UK singles chart. Originally written and recorded in 1973 by Lou Reed, this new collaboration of 29 major artists was a fund raiser for the BBC Children In Need charity.

1980 - Abba

ABBA scored their ninth and last UK No.1 single with 'Super Trouper', the group's 25th Top 40 hit in the UK. The name "Super Trouper" referred to the gigantic spotlights used in stadium concerts.

1969 - The Beatles

The Beatles went to No.1 on the US singles chart with their twenty-sixth release in the United States.'Come Together / Something', which became the group's 18th US No.1. Lennon was inspired by Timothy Leary's campaign for governor of California titled "Come together, join the party" against Ronald Reagan giving him the idea for the track. ’Something’ was the first Beatles song written by George Harrison to appear as an A-side.

1965 - The Rolling Stones

Colorado Governor John A. Love declared a Rolling Stones day throughout the State as The Stones appeared at The Denver Coliseum in Colorado during a North American tour.

On September 11th, 2020, I posted this, a teaser for a 'faux Earthbound-inspired project' featuring four brightly colored silhouettes of its four main characters. The concept and characters were shrouded in mystery up until April 7th of the following year, where I posted yet another teaser in the form of an in-game screenshot, revealing the character of Lauren Henley and the project's placeholder title, Project 2000.

In that post, I mentioned that Project 2000 isn't the project's final name, and that I would be unveiling its true name later on down the line. The truth of the matter was that I could have gone and revealed the true name as early as... well, 2020 if I wanted to. But a lot of the project was still being figured out at that time (Including the designs of its main characters!), and I wanted to hold off on revealing anything more until I knew I was 100% ready to explain what this 'Project 2000' even is.

Now, nearing a year after I posted the initial first teaser, I feel as though it's about time to introduce a few more original characters of mine to this blog, and with that being said...

Let's talk about Override!

Shigesato Itoi's 1994 cult classic Earthbound (Known as MOTHER 2 in Japan) flopped due to misleading marketing when it came around to being released in the states, but its witty humor, nonstandard JRPG setting and its colorful visual presentation proved to be a hit to the American audience in due time.

This, of course, led to creators opting to shape games around a similar basis to Earthbound, whether its in terms of graphical style, humor, battle tactics, and much more. I think the most popular example when the phrase "Earthbound-Inspired RPG" comes to mind is undoubtedly Toby Fox's Undertale, which shared a lot of the same humor as its inspiration as well as a similar graphical style.

Some fans liked the MOTHER series so much that they wanted to take the franchise into their own hands and create the next installment after Shigesato Itoi stated that MOTHER 3 was the last game in the franchise, and MOTHER 4 began production by fans. Many Winter 2014s later, it was unsure if the game was still in production, though the project was officially rebranded as its own entity as Oddity in 2020.

Override is, essentially, my kind of Undertale/Oddity, mixing elements from Earthbound, MOTHER 3, the Y2K bug and the general 2000s aesthetic together into one. By that first part, I mean it's an Earthbound-Inspired RPG crafted by my own hand (Dating as far back as mid-2019); it, of course, isn't an actual game, but rather a collection of conceptual art pieces and faux in-game screenshots I've made detailing what it would look like as a real game (Like Mega Man Ultimate).

Oh, right, the plot! Bear in mind that a lot of the finer details of Override's story haven't quite been figured out yet, but I can say that I at least have enough to finally get around to talking about it.

Charles Feldman, CEO of Synergon Robotics, longs to spearhead a dystopian world with an invincible army of technologic law-enforcers, though finds it almost impossible to in his current time, the year 2095, where such technology is commonplace.

For years, he has meticulously shaped a plan where he, a team of subordinates and all the robo-security he could need would time travel back just before the year 2000, wherein he would corrupt all technology at that point with a 'Y2K Bug' and force the denizens of the world to live a lifestyle not unlike the events of the novel 1984, wherein humanity's every move is closely observed, and if someone steps out of line, they fall to the wrath of the Synergon Police.

His plan, for the most part, is successful. He travels back to the date November 18th, 1997 to have enough time to prepare for his eventual world-ruling plan on midnight, January 1st, 2000. The aforementioned Synergon police are armed with powerful devices called 'Psiometers', which are watch-like gadgets which connect to the user's neural network to unlock the powers of the mind.

Psiometers alongside other tech necessary for Feldman's ploy are transferred base-to-base in the middle of the night via drones, which are equipped with cameras and can hold up to twenty pounds of equipment. However, on the night of December 30th, 1999, a flaw in the wrap-up of Feldman's ultimate plan occurs, when a last minute drone delivery of two Psiometer units results in a crash.

The drone lands in the yard of the Henley residence. Nine and a half year old Lauren Henley overhears the crash and goes outside to investigate, finding the busted drone amidst the snow. After another brief malfunction, it shuts itself down, and Lauren, vowing to figure out its origins, drags it into the garage and goes back to bed...

December 31st, 1999. Lauren brings the Synergon drone to her neighbor's house, and shows it to her best friend, nine year old Casey Treverton. The two shortly discover the drone's contents, and Lauren instantly suspects there's more to the Synergon story. They ultimately are short on answers for the time being, and keep the whole thing a secret from their parents until later that night...

One minute until the new year. Casey and Lauren hurry to the downstairs of the Treverton residence to catch the ball drop for the new millennium. Whatever weirdness happened earlier is put on the backburner as the two flop down in front of the TV, eagerly counting down the seconds left of 1999.

"5... 4... 3... 2..."

Then, a nationwide power shortage. Nobody has any clue what's going on. Eventually, the TV flickers back on, and instead of the new year festivities they had been watching prior, the picture depicts a grizzled although finely dressed man in front of a white backdrop; Charles Feldman.

He states that his message is being broadcast across every television in the country, and reveals his lengthy plan to create a highly technical dystopian society overseen by Synergon Robotics, threatening to rewire any technology he pleases for the worst should anyone oppose him.

Casey and Lauren grimace at each other.

Three months pass. Not a lot has changed this early on in, though the citizens of Maywood are under close surveillance by various automatons to make sure nobody tries anything funny. Lauren decides that she has had enough of this 'Synergon Business' and asks Casey if he's interested in figuring out how the Psiometers work and using them against Synergon to ultimately take them down.

At first, Casey is unsure, true to his nervous personality. There isn't any rational way two children could lead to the downfall of an entity which has taken over the world, but Lauren is sure of their success, and with enough coercing the two embark on a mission to take back what's theirs. Who do they meet along the way? Just how deep does the Synergon plan run? And will they reign victorious? Only time will tell...

Well, now that we have the lengthy scene-setting out of the way, let's check out the good stuff; checking out the four heroes of Override which were teased last year! It's a good thing I chose to wait to show their designs off, because the silhouettes shown in the teaser weren't the same designs as what I have now. So, let's get right into it!

It may have taken much longer than I expected to show Override off, but at the very least that means I can now get around to posting/writing about what I've come up for it! I have a lot of Override-related content on the way, though I find that this is an excellent way to introduce its world! A LOT of work was put into this, so I hope you've enjoyed everything this post has to offer!

William Michael Griffin Jr., better known by his stage name Rakim (born January 28, 1968), is an American rapper. Camren

Camren is real?

The answer is yes, well let's get started….

Lauren Michelle Jauregui was born on June 27, 1996 in Miami, Florida to Michael Jauregui and Clara Morgado, and is the older sister of Christopher and Taylor Jauregui.

Karla Camila Cabello was born on March 3, 1997 in the city of Cojimar, Cuba. She is the daughter of Alejandro Cabello and Sinuhe Estrabao, and has a younger sister named Sofía Cabello. At 5 years old, he had already lived in Havana and Mexico City. At age 7 he emigrated to the US with his mother and a year and a half later his father arrived.

Camila and Lauren met at XFactor auditions, and they have both recounted on numerous occasions how they noticed each other when they auditioned and how they instantly became friends on the first day of Bootcamp.

During their time on the XFactor program, the two were always very close, interacting in a loving way, they looked for each other, they did not stop looking at each other and they always seemed to be looking for contact with each other. They called each other differently than the others (Lauren calls Camila Camz when everyone calls her Mila and Camila calls Lauren Lern or Lolo). We would see moments with Camila saying that her Celebrity Crush was Lauren.

For many shippers the official date of Camren's anniversary is January 13, 2013, although for many others this date would be set at the 1975 concert in April 2014. Camila not long ago hinted that she had her first kiss at age 15 so the first date has much more credibility, as the beginning of the relationship.

Regardless of the beginning of the relationship, both Lauren and Camila use the hashtag #Camren since October 17, 2012 (which Lauren uses for the first time)

Throughout the Bootcam and 2013, you could see countless images of the two together, interviews in which they cannot stop looking at each other and touching (and not precisely as friends), throwing hints at each other on Tumblr, answering things on Twitter, etc. … During that year there were also confirmations that Camren was real from friends of the girls and even from Dinah, the ship's captain

It is at the end of 2013 that rumors begin that both Camila and Lauren have a boyfriend. Camila is related to Austin Mahone. Although it is not until the end of 2014 that Camila confirms the relationship during an interview. To announce that they had broken up. 2 weeks later, with quite little face of grief

Lauren is related to Luis F. Santos, a high school classmate. Even so Lauren and Luis' "relationship" supposedly lasted until more or less early August 2014, I imagine this because when a photo of Luis was released a little engaged, Lauren's mother replied to a girl on twitter saying that her he and daughter had broken up even though they were still friends.

The shippers were again with our girls without PR relationships in between and happy as anyone, but, just in the month of November, the rumor that Lauren is dating Brad Simpson, singer of The Vamps, spreads. At first Lauren flatly denies the relationship saying that they are just friends but in the end they admit that there is something between them. The most surprising of all is that in February 2015 and in an interview for Billboard, they confirmed the breakup in December 2014 after eight months of relationship. of Lauren with Brad in early 2015, with anger and insults included, The Vamps put out a song called “I found a girl” that talks about a boy who falls in love with a girl with incredible eyes who is not interested in boys. But there is not everything, in a radio interview they asked him if when composing the song "I found a girl" he was thinking of Lauren Jauregui to which he replied:

Yes, honestly this song is about an experience of mine with Lauren Jauregui. I asked her permission to say this and she did not care. Tumblr 2014 and 2015

The beginning of the year was packed with Camren moments especially on Tumblr, which is where girls seem to communicate. In February they posted things like this:

Rumors that they have broken up The scenes during the interviews of mutual jealousy are abundant and also the alleged relationships of the girls make it increasingly difficult to think that Camren is still well although there we continue to maintain the boat.

In April 2014 the famous concert of The 1975 arrives where they go together with Ally. There are no compromising photos or anything like that but the following days on Tumblr they posted things like this:

"He laughed as we kissed over and over again. There is no more delicious taste than someone's laughter in your mouth." - Camila Cabello

"I can't believe it really happened ..." - Lauren Jauregui

It must be said that during that time Lauren continues to like Camila's photos on Instagram and they continue to comment on some publications.

In 2014 it is coming to an end with the rumors of Camaustin and Brauren.

In 2015, Camren did not improve, but rather the opposite. They are increasingly more distant in public and although there are still the looks to which we are accustomed, it seems that they cannot “be” closer. , In the middle of the year, a lot of relationship between Shawn Méndes and Camila begins to be seen on Twitter and rumors about a possible relationship do not take long to arrive, both always deny it.

Camila's collaboration with Shawn "I Know What You Did Last Summer" was released in November, the first solo by any of the girls outside of the group.

Unfortunately, in addition to a single, November brought us much more hatred towards Camila on social networks: messages wishing the death of her sister, her family, calling her everything, telling her to return to her country, that because of her she was leaving to break up the group. Camila was already accused at the time of using Austin as a boost to her fame but with Shawn's duet people completely lost their minds.

I have to say that this relationship was never confirmed and they just kept repeating that they were very good friends. We see jealousy again, the messages on Tumblr, the sad faces and the tension.

Laucy vs camren

The beginnings of 2016 were somewhat stormy since the situation between the girls was the least distant, the looks we have had more counted, the contact between them, of course, is almost non-existent and the appearance of Lucía Vives on the scene has not been It is very helpful so that the ship does not end up as a submarine.

During this 2016 the figure of Lucía Vives became more noticeable than ever. Lucia has been a friend of Lauren since her childhood, one of the most important people in her life. 2016 passed and the girls' social media interaction was practically nil. Some Tumblr message that the shippers managed to capture (or interpret), almost no interaction on Twitter, hardly anything on Instagram.

The fandom has never been more divided and separated than in recent months. Rumors of the group's separation or that Camila was leaving sounded louder and louder, something that increased when on October 10 Camila released her second solo out of 5H , Bad things, with Machine Gun Kelly. How could it be otherwise, the networks fumed, some for the joy of having another solo by their favorite singer of the group (OT5, Harmonizers and Camilizers) and on the other hand those who hate her to death and only asked to be get out of the group.

But the drama was coming to us on November 14 when a photo of Lucia and Lauren kissing at a relative's wedding was posted

Now many thought that the ship had sunk, that the end of Camren had arrived. What they did not tell is that many others have thought from the first moment that Laucy is PR. And this was totally evident when a few days later, on the 18th November, Lauren confirmed her bisexuality.

The end of 2016 you know how it was, I told you about Camila's departure from the group. Her departure was planned since the beginning of 2016 and all this year has been to prepare the fans with her solo career. They have shown us a Camila more and more separated from the group so that it was easier to imagine her as a soloist.

2017 is looking dark for the Camren shippers and it has never been more difficult than now to keep the ship afloat, we know that with Camila out of the group the few remaining interactions between the two will be practically nil.

Death Stranding Timeline

I put together a rough timeline for the overarching narrative of Death Stranding. I was able to piece together some parts of the timeline almost approximately, but admittedly, much of it is based on headcanon and conjecture due to parts of the lore being rather scant. Regardless, I tried to make it fun and I utilized invented details to enrich the worldbuilding. I also put together a few paragraphs explaining my methods in obtaining the more approximate dates. I’ve seen people talking about character age headcanons and attempting to pinpoint the duration of the Death Stranding, and I think I got pretty close to the truth with a few of these. February, 2015 - Lisa reveals to Cliff that she is pregnant, he retires from active duty to be with his family

March 15th, 2015 - Death Stranding occurs

May 29th, 2015 - Målingen and Lockne Leifsdottir are born

June, 2015 - President Faulkner creates the government organization ‘Bridges’, which is designed to create a network across the fractured America in order to administer aid to the civilian population. Its other, classified purpose is to research the cause of the Death Stranding and to synthesize potential solutions to the social, economic, and infrastructural issues it has caused.

July, 2015 - John Blake McClane leaves the United States Army Special Forces to pursue a career opportunity as head of Bridges security. Much of Bridges’ security personnel is comprised of military veterans.

August, 2015 - President Faulkner is killed during a voidout that obliterates Manhattan Island. The voidout is caused by the death of a stillmother during the preliminary embryonic chiral experimentation trial runs conducted by Bridges, experiments which would go on to become the blueprints for the ‘Bridge Babies’, also known as ‘BB’ units. The existence of the embryonic experimentation being brought to the public eye causes widespread outrage, and the research is discontinued. Following Faulkner’s death, his vice president, Bridget Strand, succeeds the presidency. While the embryonic chiral experimentation is officially discontinued, President Strand continues it in secret, desperate to discover the secrets of the new element ‘chiralium’ and its vast potential to bolster technological development.

September, 2015 - Cliff and Lisa are hit by a drunk driver while driving home one night after attending a play. Both receive serious injuries, Cliff; a shattered collarbone, humerus, and ulna, and Lisa; severe whiplash and head trauma, which leaves her comatose. Miraculously, the 7 month old fetus is largely unharmed.

October, 2015 - Cliff enrolls his family in an experimental medical care program that promises to utilize state of the art technology to provide them the best chance at recovery, as recommended to him by an old military buddy. An emergency C-section is conducted, and the 28 week old Baby Bridges ‘BB’ is placed in a portable pod synchronized with his mother’s heartbeat.

Bridget Strand acts as overseer of the experiments in secret, under the pseudonym Dr. Samsa. She hides her true identity behind a steel masquerade mask.

February, 2016 - Cliff grows increasingly irritated and untrusting of Dr. Samsa as she continues to avoid his questions and lie to him. BB is kept in his pod long past his due date and prevented from growing through the usage of hormone blockers.

December 23rd, 2016 - When John realizes that Cliff’s family is being harvested for chiral experimentation, he warns Cliff of what is going to be done to them. When Cliff tries to escape the facility with his baby, he and his entire family are killed. Baby Bridges is revived by Amelie on the beach, and he is christened ‘Sam’. Bridget Strand makes the decision to raise him as her own, as he was no longer a BB candidate after Cliff released him from his pod. After this unnatural resuscitation, the laws of nature are made gravely upset. Sam becomes the first repatriate and DOOMS sufferer, one who can travel between Earth and Hades and detect the spectral dead using his 5 senses. The dead, the Beached Things, return physically to the land of the living and claim more human souls, dragging the damned with them as they returned to the other side. Timefall, rain that rapidly ages anything it touches, begins to fall in showers across the American continent.

December 31st, 2016 - Sam Strand is ‘born’

March, 2017 - John Blake McClane fakes his death with the help of President Strand. He returns to the broken political scene under the pseudonym Die-Hardman and becomes a personal aide to the president.

October 1st, 2017 - Fragile (Giselle Depardieu) is born

November 8th, 2019 - Higgs Monaghan is born

April, 2020 - The United Cities of America (UCA) is established, as the state governments and boundaries have all but crumpled as a result of continuous voidouts, and only a few key cities remain.

June, 2020 - Deadman earns the position of Bridges head coroner as a result of his government-sponsored artificial personhood program.

May, 2033 - Lucy Dimmonds earns a Bachelor’s degree in psychology

March, 2034 - Lucy Dimmonds becomes a licensed therapist

February, 2038 - Sam has his first meeting with his therapist, Lucy Dimmonds. In the following months, the two begin to form a close and unprofessional relationship.

December, 2039 - Sam and Lucy are married, and Lucy retires from her practice.

February, 2040 - Lucy contracts DOOMS after becoming pregnant with her and Sam’s child Louise. She begins to have horrible visions of the apocalypse, which Bridget assures her are real portents of the future.

September, 2040 - Lucy chooses to commit suicide in order to avoid bringing a child into the world where the apocalypse is imminent. Her death causes a voidout, and Sam, who was busy making deliveries at the time, returns home to a smoking crater; all that’s left of his hometown. The survivors eye him warily and he can tell that they blame him for the disaster. In shame and grief, Sam resigns from Bridges and begins work as an independent porter. He changes his name to Sam Porter Bridges.

January 11th, 2045 - President Bridget Strand dies of metastasized uterine cancer. The plot of Death Stranding begins.

References and Reasoning Used in Creating Timeline

Deadman mentions that WW1 took place more than 100 years ago, meaning that the present day in Death Stranding is past 2014-2018

Deadman mentions that WW2 took place a century ago, which places the timeframe of Death Stranding’s narrative anywhere from 2039-2045. I opted for the late estimate as to make Sam a little older and give the timeline some room to breathe

Based on appearance, behavior, and age in relation to other characters (he was a baby when Cliff, Die-Hardman, and Bridget were all mature adults), I placed Sam at around 28-30 years old. If he were any older, characters such as Die-Hardman and Bridget would appear much too young in the present day. This would also make the period in which the Death Stranding occurred around 30 years.

Deadman explains that Clifford Unger took part in the Kosovo War, the Afghanistan War, and the Iraq War. This would place his years of service from 1999 to right before the Death Stranding and Sam’s birth, around 2015. We know his military career did not begin any earlier, as there is no mention of him serving during the Balkan Wars or Persian Gulf War. Assuming that he was around 18 for his first deployment during the Kosovo War, it can be pretty reasonably inferred that Cliff was born around 1979, and was therefore around 36-37 when he was killed. This lines up nicely with the age restrictions surrounding combat in the United States Army Special Forces (ages 20-36). Essentially, Cliff must have been 36-37 in 2016, for if he was any older he would not have been only recently retired from combat, and if he was any younger he would not have been old enough to have served during the Kosovo War.

Bridget Strand’s age is determined similarly. As both vice president and president, she would have had to have been 35 years of age or older, if she was vice president in 2012, she would have had to have been at least 35. I placed her at 37, which is still very young, but not quite the youngest on record. But, since she assumes the presidency in 2016 following the death of the president, she would have become president at 41 years of age, which would make her the record-holder of the title of youngest American president. Assuming she is 41 in 2016, she would be 70 years of age at the time of her death in 2045, which seems reasonable.

Most other aspects of the timeline are built around these key definable pieces of the puzzle and are subject to change as more lore is revealed.

Essentially, this is full of headcanons that I’ll be happy to alter if and when we get more information.

It’s likely that some of you have been expecting something on what would have been David Bowie’s 73rd birthday, after announcements on 8th January for the past couple of years. Indeed, if the calendar has clicked over to that date where you are, then you have possibly already found something.

Now it’s 8th January in the country of his birth, here’s that announcement…

Parlophone Records is proud to announce DAVID BOWIE IS IT ANY WONDER? a six track EP of unreleased and rare tracks to be released over six weeks.

The first of these is a previously unreleased version of ‘The Man Who Sold The World’, released today as a streaming-only 1 track digital single in celebration of both David’s birthday and the 50th anniversary of the writing and recording of this classic. Five more songs will be released on a weekly basis from 17th January.

’THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD’ (CHANGESNOWBOWIE VERSION) is taken from the 9-track session ChangesNowBowie, recorded for radio and broadcast by the BBC on David’s 50th birthday on 8th January, 1997.

The broadcast featured an interview with David by Mary Anne Hobbs interspersed with specially recorded birthday messages and questions from the likes of Scott Walker, Damon Albarn, Bono, Robert Smith and many more.

This mostly acoustic session was a stripped back affair featuring some of David’s favourites of his own compositions and was produced by Bowie himself, Reeves Gabrels and Mark Plati.

CHANGESNOWBOWIE was recorded and mixed at Looking Glass Studios in New York in November 1996 during rehearsals for David’s 50th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden. Gail Ann Dorsey (bass, vocals), Reeves Gabrels (guitars) and Mark Plati (keyboards and programming) accompanied David on the recording.

CHANGESNOWBOWIE will be released in limited quantities on LP and CD for Record Store Day on 18th April, 2020. The cover art for the album will features a portrait of David by renowned photographer Albert Watson, taken in New York in 1996. (See montage for cover)

HERE’S WHAT YOU MISSED THIS WEEK (2.19-2.25.20):

NEW MUSIC:

· Frank Iero and the Future Violents released a new video for their song “Basement Eyes.” Almost a year after the release of their long-awaited album Barriers, Iero took to social media to tease the arrival of the video on February 17th.

· The 1975 shared a new song and video for “The Birthday Party,” the fifth new track from their upcoming album Notes on a Conditional Form. Recently, the band also seemed to be behind a new website known as mindshower.ai.

· All Time Low dropped their second single and video from their upcoming album Wake Up, Sunshine, titled “Sleeping In.” The band partnered with North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) to help raise money and awareness for no kill rescue and adoption organizations.

· Ozzy Osbourne and Post Malone dropped their second collaboration from Osbourne’s album Ordinary Man, titled “It’s a Raid.” Fans first learned about the second collab earlier this month when the tracklist for the album was revealed.

· 5 Seconds of Summer dropped a new single, “Old Me,” off their upcoming LP C A L M. Earlier this month, the band dropped “No Shame” and announced the release date for their upcoming record.

· Dance Gavin Dance announced the release of their ninth full-length studio album titled Afterburner. The band also celebrated by dropping the first single and video titled “Prisoner.”

· Knuckle Puck dropped an energetic new track, “Tune You Out,” which is also their first release in nearly two years. According to Kerrang!, the band recently finished recording their third full-length album.

· Ashley Purdy recently dropped a third solo track following his departure from Black Veil Brides in November. The song is titled “King for a Day,” which serves as the full track from a teaser Purdy posted back in December.

· Fall Out Boy musicians Patrick Stump and Joe Trohman and Dethklok mastermind Brendon Small partnered up on the song “New Music Sucks.” The track comes off of Posehn’s comedy metal record Grandpa Metal.

· Craig Owens of D.R.U.G.S., among many other dissolved acts, made a brief anniversary post for the band’s sole self-titled record. This follows an Instagram account for the band that was made and a VK page that leaked info about a potential single release date.

TOUR ANNOUNCEMENTS:

· Foo Fighters announced a 25th Anniversary “Van Tour,” which will visit 10 different cities. The tour is special because they plan to revisit some stops they hit on their 1995 tour to promote their debut album.

· The Glasgow, Scotland, date of Palaye Royale’s The Bastards European Tour at the Garage was canceled, with the band later performing a free acoustic show near the venue. Days later, the band announced their show in Birmingham, England, was also canceled.

· Movements announced a spring tour, which will commence on April 23rd in San Diego and conclude on May 17th in El Paso, Texas. They will be joined by fellow hardcore groups Teenage Wrist and Queen of Jeans.

· After rescheduling some of their tour dates back in January for the second leg of their winter tour, Angels & Airwaves announced new dates for those shows, as well as some extra shows. They will take place around a handful of festival dates, including Bunbury Festival.

· In celebration of their 10-year anniversary tour for the record To Plant a Seed in a few weeks, We Came As Romans revealed exclusive tour merch designs. The band took to Twitter to reveal three exclusive t-shirt designs designed by bassist Andy Glass.

· Dropkick Murphys and Rancid announced that they are teaming up for a spring tour, the Boston to Berkeley II Tour. The tour begins May 3rd in Concord, North Carolina, and ends May 24th in Lewiston, New York.

· Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman took to social media to ask fans for their input on a potential Warped Rewind at Sea sequel. The tour searched for suggestions on what other kind of entertainment and activities would make the trip better.

· Alesana announced a 10-city tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their release, The Emptiness. The tour commences on April 24th in North Carolina before ending on May 3th in Austin, Texas.

· Armor for Sleep confirmed reunion theories with the announcement of a 15-year anniversary tour for their sophomore album What to Do When You Are Dead. The band broke up initially back in 2009.

OTHER NEWS:

· Bring Me the Horizon dressed up as famous pop girl group The Spice Girls at the BRIT Awards on February 18th. The band all wore the personas of Scary, Posh, Baby, Sporty and Ginger Spice from their iconic performance at the 1997 BRIT Awards.

· The Umbrella Academy teased viewers with a first look at the upcoming season, dropping the first set of posters for the second season of the series. The series is based on My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way‘s comic book of the same name.

· The 320 Project started by Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman and 320 Changes Direction founder Talinda Bennington, who was married to the late Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, was announced. The event will take place at the USC Bovard Auditorium.

· The late Lil Peep’s estate partnered with luxury streetwear brand, Rose in Good Faith, to release a collaborative merch line. The line is dedicated to the memory of Gus, his music and his desire to help the world.

· Twenty One Pilots’ Tyler Joseph and wife Jenna Black shared a short video announcing the birth of their daughter Rosie Robert Joseph, who arrived February 9th. She also mentions the reasoning behind the middle name choice was to match Tyler’s.

· According to social media posts, YUNGBLUD and Travis Barker of Blink-182 seem to have pranked Machine Gun Kelly on MTV‘s Punk’d. Over this past weekend, Barker posted to his Instagram story a photo with a sign saying “you got PUNK’D.”

· Vans is giving their iconic checkerboard shoe a psychedelic makeover with its new line, featuring a tie-dye color scheme. The design will be overlaid atop their ComfyCush Era and Old Skool models.
