hi!! first of all thank you ,,, means a lot to me, i always re-read my answers to make sure i don't sound rude or anything 😭 anxiety girlies where you at

about the books, there are lots!! i recommend you also ask @kattestrophe - she knows more than i do, especially about the german books; i am neither german nor english so some of those i own aren't available in languages other than my own.

the ones from my collection that are available in english/german are:

frederick the great by william f. reddaway - this is a biography, available in english, i haven't read it all because i only needed the crown prince bit, and that one had historical inaccuracies, so be mindful. but it has images!!

king in prussia by rafael sabatini - this is fiction and also available in english! it's a book from 1944 i believe, divided in two parts, specifically before katte's death and after katte's death up until ... i think the end of the seven years war? i don't know, i haven't read it all and i will stop at katte's death. fritz is very gay in this one as far as i've read, but in a queer disney villain way, which can be fun if you decide to ignore the homophobia. also one of the protagonists is katte's entirely fictional jacobite cousin, the most annoying man on earth.

zeithain by michael roes - this also is fiction, and only available in german. i have only read five pages of it (my german is very poor) and it follows katte, not friedrich. katte is also very sad. but as far as i was told, both of them are gay, so there's that. so far hans is like "it's raining and i'm alone and last week i went to a funeral. i have prayed to the god i lost during my childhood", certainly something very different from how he behaves in king in prussia ...

katte: die geschichte einer freundschaft by gertrud von brockdorff - this is also german only, i'm not sure about the actual book being available (i was sent a pdf) although it could be available in germany?? it is pretty old tho (1934) so i wouldn't know much about that. this one is also more about katte and friedrich, again fiction, it's eight chapters, still haven't read it because this bad boy is written in fraktur and i have trouble reading that but i have had conversations about it, and boy is it queer. there is a single chapter in which katte has a small identity crisis and has a romance with wilhelmine, but after that he's back to longing for frédéric and his "wide, bright and impenetrable" eyes that bewitch everyone. fellas is it gay to think your male friend's eyes are what you need a woman to have so you can actually love her?

the sorrows of frederick by romulus linney - available in english, this is a play from 1966, still haven't read it (the package is somewhere in europe right now), i think it follows all of fritz's life? it has fredersdorf, at least. but fredersdorf here knows katte, so eh. some anachronistic thingies here and there, what's new.

der alte fritz in 50 bildern - i can't figure out the name of the authors (damn it, fraktur) but worry not: this only has somewhat cool illustrations about fritz's life and a little bit of german text. at least some of them are. others are peculiar: voltaire is shorter than fritz in these. he wishes. i'm adding a photo though, so you can see!

i also own a pretty interesting book, not about fritz but about the seven years war in general, titled "prussian army soldiers and the seven years' war: the psychology of honour" by katrin and sascha moebius (there is an umlaut on the o there; i'm writing this on my pc and don't know where to find it).

i also have "later selected poems" by sheenagh pugh, which contains "five voices", a cycle of five poems showing five different perspectives on katte, if you're interested in that. there isn't a fritz perspective, though.

he also has a short chapter in "bad gays" by huw lemmey and ben miller, but i found it to be somewhat offensive at some point, although that could be a translation issue: there is a pretty offensive slur and some things i found to be inaccurate. overall i wouldn't buy it. i only bought it because the italian edition has very cool illustrations, at a time where i did not know about this translation thing.

the rest of my books are all available in italian only (or about voltaire).

Gabriel:

-Oldest kid william killed. hes 12 and has a baby sister and a big brother (his brother is grown and is mike schmidt in my fnaf timeline)

-LOVES sports. he played a lot when he was young, but his favorite is basketball

-His family has a lot of issues, so he's a lot more mature than he should be.

-He actually disliked cassidy in life. to him she was too bossy and bratty, but he didnt care bc she was younger than him

-One of the more vengeful, since he thinks a lot about his baby sister and it makes him PISSED. hes close to cassidy and is super protective of his friends. Of course this means he violently hates michael

-extra one but he's very bitter about being in the animatronic. as much as he wants revenge, he also is one of the first to side with cassidy against charlie

Fritz:

-about 9 when he died, he's not as vengeful. He was mostly just scared at first.

-Close with Susie and was present when the bite happened. He wasn't close with Evan (hes younger than Ev) but he felt really bad whenever he saw him around

-He played soccer <33 which is why he was able to run away from william long enough to cause trouble

-Autistic, selectively nonverbal and doesnt talk a lot bc of it. he gets overstimulated by loud noises

-He had no siblings, but he was super duper close with susie. Her death fucked him up a lot and if it weren't for his birthday arty, he would not have gone back to the pizzeria ever. he'd hoped the party would cheer him up

-turned on charlie quicker than expected. he hates being in foxy and hes scared, so he doesnt trust her. he also viewed it as a selfish decision especially when cassidy framed it that way

Jeremy:

-Was very aggressive with william but couldnt do much. he was 9 (turning ten in a few months maybe) when he died

-hes not vengeful tho, not as much as cassidy or gabriel. hes moreso sad.

-sides with gabriel on everything EXCEPT charlie. he trusts charlie and believes she brought them back for a reason. but he went with gabriel because he didnt wanna leave him behind

-his big brother is the bonnie bully (andy my love <3) and their relationship changed a lot post bite. jeremy didnt know what happened until after he died, tho. hes not evans biggest fan bc evan helped cassidy turn the others against charlie and he hated to see her isolated like that

-he thinbks its hilarious that the nightguard has the same name as his. less so when said nightguard gets a chunk taken out of his face

-8 when she died. was there for the bite but didnt actually see it happen. she just knew a kid died because of the robots and only really knew what happened when she was told post-death

-surprisingly vengeful. this girl can fit a lot o anger in her. shes bitter that her death was based on a stupid theory, and even more bitter that charlie helped prove the theory true.

-despite that, it took a while for her to give up on charlie. in fact the split between the mci and charlie ruined her view of evan and cassidy more than it did charlie. susie, just like jeremy, could tell they were isolating her and she did not like it. she doesnt fully blame them (considering she agrees with them) but she believed there was a better way. they were already here, why not work together?

-her dog possesses the cupcake! she knows this and cherishes the little guy but she also feels so fucking sad her poor dog got dragged into this. he seems pretty chill with it tho LMAO

-actually the most chill w the nightguard. after all, its not him who wronged her lol

Cassidy:

MY FAV MY BELOVED OKAY

-11 when she died. second oldest meow and she fucking FOUGHT LIKE HELL. whatever jeremy did to will was nothing compared to her. she was a cornered rabbit and she showed her claws she fucked him UP. broke his nose cut his face she did everything to get away from him. he had to make up a story about a person attacking him (which ended up being the first lie henry cracked that lead up to him finding out william was the killer so. pop off cass)

-Knew evan before she died. did not gaf abt him. he was just the whiny kid to her. but tbf she didnt know anything about michael. she'd shoo off any bullies she saw hanging around him, though. he noticed but never mentioned it

-violent anger she got from her mother. yeah you can assume what her home life was like. she had a lot of expectations placed on her as the only child. her parents were business people, always rushing and never pausing to let her catch up, so she learned to keep running, fall less, and work harder. of course, the faster you go the harder you'll fall but dont tell her that

-loves dressing herself up, but her mother prefers to do it. cassidy hates hwen other people make decisions for her (which contrasts evans hate for making decisions himself)

-violently hates charlie. they used to be close when alive but post death not only was cassidy pissed that charlie brought the other kids back (in my hc, cassidy came back of her own accord) but also that charlie now wanted to give up on their mission for vengence. she found the "happiest day" to be trivializing their cause and, once the other kids were gone and passed on, promptly destroyed it. Evan similarly refused to move on, and they stayed behind together

-despite this, cassidy did try to convince charlie not to go to the pizza sim location. charlie didnt listen, got trapped in lefty, and caused cassidy to have a severe hatred for henry that lasts on and on and on for a long time until she finally visited him at the lake. but hes just like his daughter, and cassidy listened to him even less than shed listened to charlie

me and deliah keept talking together about many things even about "the big furry bonnie" who named springtrap, how he is her only friend and how nick feel uncomfortable around him «nah nick always been the worried type, I think springtrap is cool tho» I said and that made deliah smile softly

«THE DINNER IS READY» said springtrap from downstairs so me and deliah went down, that moment nick has arrived and he seems to be worried «Hello big bro! missed ya so much!» I said Hugging him and he hugged me back

«hi (y/n) how have you been??» he said and we walked to the table sitting to eat and talking about some other stuff

pov springtrap:

is I thought deliah is busy with her and forget me.. I thought and went to the Sitting room and the kids souls showed up «what are you planning to do??» said Fritz worried «you're not going to kill her right!?» Jeremy said

oh they're talking about (y/n)...«I wont kill (y/n) but I'll scare her so she leave» I siad but its seems that they're still upset with my plan «what do you want me to do then!?» I asked them laying on the Couch

«why don't you just leave her? after all deliah need more friends!» susie said I said nothing but showed my sadness then said «but.. what about me?» they looked to each others then susie talked «why don't you befriend her too? she seems nice»

... maybe they are right «um- thank you guys» I thanked them and they seemed to be surprised then the door suddenly opened by (y/n) wearing short pajama

that made my face heating, I tried to looke away nervously but I couldn't she looked cute.. wait what am I thinking!??? wake up spring! «are ya listing to me?» she asked a bit worried «uuh sorry I didnt..» «welp I was wondering if you want to come with me and deliah we will make a movie night!» she said

I woke up and didn't find deliah or springtrap so I check out the time «12 pm already!?» I stand up and went downstairs after washing my face and got clothing I sew that deliah is so excited but springtrap seemed to be a bit upset

«what's going on guys?» I asked «one of the Neighbors kids will vest us! he is at my school and called harry» siad deliah «thats cool!» I replied

I have decided to document my journey so far. So, I shall hereby start the Travel Journal! Gotta catch up a bit to get to where I am now, so: bullet points!!

- I found Arven and Lizard on my first day at Naranja. Lizard was kind of weirdly powered up, Nemona took a picture then. I saved Lizard from two houndour, gave them a sandwich, and then they saved ME from a Houndoom. Nice start for a friendship. Lizard never managed to change forme again after, and is kind of slumpy and in mediocre health. She forgot how to run, swim, climb, etc.

- first day at Naranja, help out this honestly lit girl named Penny who got kind of hassled by Team Star. They're kind of a gang, but also, they bring their own music and I respect them for that.

- had the realization that Terastal energy fucks up my hearing aids. It makes them stop working for AT LEAST a minute, and be on the fritz for a good hour after. I don't like to terastalize my mons despite having a Tera orb. No thanks.

- treasure hunt start, I got low key recruited by Arven to help him find Herba Mystica, promised Nemona to spend some time with her, and someone who called themself Cassiopeia to help attack and disband Team Star. Sounds like a busy treasure hunt.

- catch Ratchet and Scraplet, and ask at Cortondo gym for accommodations. Katy gladly gives them, Ratchet rages at the poor bug types. I won that gym badge. And got cupcakes.

- next up, the biggest Klawf to ever grace the earth. That fucker was huge, scuttled up the wall, and nearly messed Purrlet up. El Woowoo finished it off and promptly evolved.

Here his last moments as a wooper

- Arven is a kickass cook, actually, his sandwiches FUCK. Can endorse. Turns out, Klawf got that big because of sweet herba mystica. I got a picture of that too, but arven is in there and didn't give me permission to share.

- back to the academy, it's late. I forget to charge my hearing aids. This will come back, trust me.

- next day, up to go and battle the next Titan. Halfway up the fucking mountain where the biggest bombirdier ever lives, my hearing aids beep. I got half an hour charge left. Ohfuck.jpg

- it's fine, absolutely fine. Up the mountain we hurry. Lizard beloved doesn't care about boulders being dropped by the biggest bird alive.

- bird squares up with Scraplet. Scraplet wins, bird goes off to recuperate, I swap Ratchet in just in case. Bird comes back. So comes Arven. He has a Nacli. Ratchet evolves in a display of sheer avian rage and gets taken out by the Bombirdier. Nacli breaks the Bombirdier's wing. Its pissed. And attacks ARVEN.

- I push him out of the way and nearly get skewered. Scraplet frees herself, and Arven gets her to fuck that bird up.

- sandwich time. Turns out, Arven's dog is sick. Herba Mystica can apparently heal everything if you eat all five. Lizard has stolen my first sandwich. Fey can have the rest. I want to keep being deaf. I like being able to shut others up.

- still gonna help arven tho. His Mabosstiff needs the help.

- arven's mom calls, and yikes, the woman is a piece of work. She's the professor. She only cares about the fact Lizard remembered how to swim. Not her fucking kid. Yikes.

- down the mountain to the Pokémon Center. My aids can charge a bit there. A Star Base is near. I decide to go there.

- Director Clavell in the shittiest disguise ever shows up. He wants to join. Why the fuck not.

- love the whole idea of bringing your own battle music. Team Star knows what's up.

- Star Barrages are wild. You, three mons, and a time limit, all against 30 others.

- time to face the boss. Giacomo.

- Have your Gay Awakening and almost lose the fight because you can't stop staring while sacrificing your last hearing aid batteries to catch the sick music

- SOMEHOW get his number (fucking SCORE)

- batteries die, gotta text Penny on the way home

- time to face Brassius, I need another badge to be able to catch a Revavroom.

- dude is chronically ill but refuses to accommodate for my hearing aid-terastal problem. Time to be deaf on purpose and teach sign attacks to my mons.

- kick his ass via Ratchet. Why is this bird so angry?

- get an apology fuck yeah

- pass all the way through Levincia, pick up gloves so my fingers won't freeze off when I ride on Lizard

- find the biggest Orthworm in the ground. That's Sir Lampton. He low key kicks my ass. Temporarily acquire a Hariyama to kick ass. Hariyama is released afterwards, it liked the small diversion.

- Dog manages a small bark. Hell yeah, you go Mabosstiff

- Sada still doesn't care about her son. Why. Ma'am I want to throttle you.

-Star base? Star Base. They're fire type.

- Mela has kickass boots. She also kicks my ass and if not for Sir Lampton we would have had to retreat.

- walk off with a new TM, ask for number to add to group chat. Somehow get it? Nice. My contact list grows. Is this how you make friends? I think it is.

That's it for now. I got two options on what to do next, because I don't want to do the gyms. I'll make a small poll on that later.

HEHEHE OK OK this’ll be fun

So Hex is kinda hard cause on ONE hand I’m like ok what if he just had. A singular skitty. I think that would be funny. But also! Oh my god wait sorry sentence cancelled

Ok so he totally has a Skitty. Tiniest one you’ve ever seen. It has him wrapped around its paw he would kill for this cat. Enjoys snoozing in the crook of his neck. Very chatty!!

Ditto. He has a Ditto. That was my eureka above because of COURSE he’d have a Ditto. Sees that little guy and goes oh same. Loves it’s silly little face. It enjoys squishes.

Ok I’m totally not biased but Houndoom. Big doggy. It’s like having a Doberman everyone thinks they’re super scary. But are actually just the biggest dorks ever. This one is absolutely useless /incredibly affectionate. Dumb as a box of bricks and just wants love. Hex has had them since they were a pup and loves them so much. Baby.

Ok Mumbo time >:)

Togedemaru is super cute and is also electric/steel! Very round and very cute, probably wants to help at any given chance. The mental image of this small round creature trying to lug large tools around to help Mumbo is so cute. Little guy tries So hard. Extra poke puffs always.

One time the ship’s mainframe was on the fritz and apparently the culprit was a very peeved Magnemite. Complains about everything via small static shocks. INSISTS on supervising and if anything is not to it’s liking. Trust me it will let him know.

Durant. Likes to bite his ankles. Professional wire cutter. Wants nothing more than to feast on small metal devices. That Mumbo is using. At that very moment.

Klefkiiii!!!! Helps Mumbo organize since he’s a little scatterbrained! Happily holds little reminder notes. Has accidentally locked Mumbo out of the lab at some point. Poor thing was so apologetic- It’s an absolute sweetheart tho <3

Sometimes a Rotom tries to possess your body to use and you accidentally end up befriending it. Sounds familiar.

Oh, man. Let me just - ( breaks knuckles ) - dig DEEP into some headcanons for a minute here.

Henry was there for the Bite of '83, and his own KID was the victim. Since he was the man who designed the springlock suits & animatronics for the restaurant, I could absolutely see him hesitating to create any more for another restaurant that followed the tragedy. Yet, in a Popgoes universe, he would have done so anyway -- albeit very reluctantly.

Bear ( teehee ) in mind that in all of my other Henry verses, William Afton is the man who created the FNaF 2 animatronics -- so having one where Henry is the only one who's technically culpable for the animatronics' actions ( aside from y'know, the tampering done by the killer, who would be Simon in this case ) means that he feels a LOT of personal responsibility for what happened.

So the fact that another damn bite STILL happened would absolutely fuck with him! As for the rest?

Jeremy Fitzgerald assumed an alias and created Popgoes' Pizzeria, obviously, but he went into hiding in England -- presumably, what would draw Henry there in the first place would be the knowledge that Fritz had bought pieces from Freddy's at an auction ( given that Henry's entire goal eventually becomes destroying the remnants of Freddy's after shit goes down ). He'd have no idea who Fritz technically was, he'd just be after the relics from the old pizzeria. So finding out that Fritz was the "kid" who got bitten all those years ago, all because of the animatronics he'd created???

Henry's not one to break ( at that point in time ), but some part of him would just shatter. It's almost funny to picture a meeting between these two, with Henry being dead serious at first, only to realize -- and then that solemn attitude just crumbles, and he starts apologizing. "Oh my god, it's you. I'm so sorry." sfdhsfd;;; Fritz, on the other hand, would just be completely taken aback that he 1) got recognized so quickly and 2) now he has this old man in his restaurant desperately apologizing for something ( and he probably wouldn't even know what -- Henry was the owner of Fazbear Entertainment, but he was a "faceless" owner while he ran the place, so he's just "?????" ).

Basically...it'd be interesting, lol.

German is such a weird language for me because I kind of speak it? And it kind of sounds like french? And also english? But at the same time its... not.. either of those and my understanding of the actual language isn't enough for me to make heads or tails of anything

so ive been playing Cinderella Phenomenon for these past few days.....I'm glad I played that game in correct order—Rod, Karma, Rumpel, Waltz, then Fritz—because it didn't provide me much spoilers for the next route i was going to play.

so first is Rod. that little shit istg i hate him lmaooo. i mean i love him but if i compared him to the other men you have to romance, he's the guy i dislike the most. that's mainly because he's too cold towards Lucette tho he has every right to be lmaoo.

goodness i love Karma's curse. his curse is my favorite. i didn't expect his curse to turn out to be like that it literally affected my expectations for Rumpel's curse bcos he's the route i went for right after Karma's. also, im stupid because i thought he had the Sleeping Beauty fairytale curse. apparently not because i forgot that roses played a bigger part in Beauty and the Beast lmaoo

From Rumpel's route onwards, everything just got worse. the story went deeper and darker lmao. i also disliked Rumpel because he's that stereotypical character with a flirty personality. but I felt bad for the poor guy when we got to slowly discover more of his memories. also, Parfait died in this route so i thought this was the route i hated the most when i finished playing it.....but apparently i was wrong at the time—

WALTZ'S ROUTE. okay i was excited for him because Peter Pan was my favorite story growing up. however, i wasn't able to focus much on the romance here bcos we got Lucette's mother getting revived by a bitch called Mythros (i fcking HATE that man). also, Lucette gets to be able to actually communicate with her father here so love that for her. also, i get to discover that Varg is actually Fritz and that MESSED me up because Fritz is my favorite and i was going to save his route for the last.

FINALLY FRITZ' ROUTE. BITCH I HAVE A WHOLE THREAD OF MY REACTIONS IN MY PRIV TWITTER ACC. i cursed a lot in this route. i also felt bad for Fritz because idk if it's just me but it felt as if he was mostly absent in his own route lmao. apart from that, in the previous routes, it's always been hinted that he dies (which means Varg takes over his body and he just disappears). also, when he's confused that he has a curse, i already KNEW that his father let Mythros curse him without him knowing. AND OH GOD FRITZ IS LIKE THE 707 OF THIS GAME. he's in love with Lucette in every route and that man pines for her from the very start. this route is the most intense out of everyone else's. no one was safe from pain in this route, even me. as much as Varg annoyed the shit out of me, the scene where he sacrificed himself was heartbreaking to me. bitch i know he just got affected with Fritz's feelings towards Lucette BUT HIS LINE HURT SO MUCH—

this route killed me and i believe that both Fritz and i need to get to therapy after all the shit that had transpired in his route.

I spent this morning reading different post of yours, they’re so good 😭 I wanted to ask if you’re able to write something in which Jeremy and Michael are in a poly relationship with the reader?

( Ofc,tbh i love writing poly stuff- (and thank you so much- I'm happy you enjoy my stuff and..would take a whole morning reading it- ) and as usual i’ll be using a gn reader! ) (and..i’ll be using the name Fritz more- i may slip in Michael at times tho )

These two love you to death- they were dating before they asked you to be their partner. Jeremy was the one who had to ask you cause poor Fritz would’ve been all red faced if he even went up to you or to make it worse,ask you to be in a relationship with both him and Jeremy.

Jeremy pulled it off well though! He explained how they both liked you for a while and they’d like you to join their relationship. Jeremy understood if you didn’t wanna be with two people at once but when you said yes this boy basically hopped onto you- He held you close and smiled yapping on about how both him and Fritz are gonna make sure you love being in the relationship.

For the both of them,physical affection is a big yes. Fritz is touch-starved while Jeremy thinks physical touch is a good way to show love so,holding hands,hugs,kisses and even random cuddles are to expected ofc! ( Fritz is shy when he asks you for any of those things but whenever you do kiss him,hug him or even cuddle him he’d just lean into you. Jeremy just does it with consent ofc- he’d tackle you down basically- )

Oml movie nights with them is so nice- You three would snuggle up and Fritz would wrap a blanket around the three of you. Expect to get sandwiched between these two cuz no matter your height they wanna keep you close and cozy <3

You all trust each other of course,so if one or the other is busy it’s just expected they’d go to you-

Fritz would love to hear both you and Jeremy talk. He isn’t much of a talker so he loves hearing both y’alls voices,he finds them very soothing even if you two are..maybe talking about the weirdest stuff-

Jeremy likes seeing you and Fritz show affection to each other,he finds it cute Fritz can trust another person but if you two are cuddling expect him to join in-

Okay so- during the Employee convention these two are stuck to you. I mean of course they are,it’s how they are normally. Both Fritz and Jeremy constantly hold your hands as you three walk. (tbh i bet it was disappointment to find out it wasn’t the south pacific trip- )

You three rest all huddled up together but keep a tiny distance. You probably hold their hands while they sleep and if you’re awake late it’s always gonna be Fritz who knows. He’d sit up and give you a soft look as he placed a hand on your face. “S/o..do you want me to stay up with you? I don’t sleep much but i’d prefer if you rest up for tomorrow.” He smiled softly.

-First of all both of you met when she fell through the window.

-You were just peacefully playing chess with a computer for fucks sake at 3 a.m.

-Well that aside you were horrified of what thing fell through the window.

-You fucking Ran out of there like you were in a Marathon not forgetting to snatch your beloved pet and Hiding in the safety of a bush outside.

-Both of you met when you almost ran over the poor man with your car, he fainted before you can hit him tho!

-He looked worse to wear, to say the least, that with the fact he was very pale.

-not wanting to leave him there you hoisted him up with difficulty into your car and drove to the nearest hospital.

-when he eventually regains consciousness, he fucking screams.

-You as a good Samaritan didn't want to disturb the others so you Gently talked with him.

-Poor man looked so traumatized that you decide on good judgment and not question why he screamed.

-you both exchange contacts because He looked like he needed someone!

-first and far most, you did not want to join your friends is going through a horror house.

-You almost hurled over and puked when you all entered ITS SMELL WAS FUCKING DISGUSTING.

-Being a good friend you have kept it in as your friends pulled you to explore each one of them screeching in fright as you tried and avoid some cockroaches.

-Getting a glimpse of something in the corner of your vision you turn your head to be greeted with a charred figure.

-You flinched sucking in a sharp intake of breath before quietly waving.

-It was motionless so you just continued walking.

-It held your hand as it floated near you, your whole body tensed up as you acted fine.

-You were not fine at all

Jeremy went to pick up coffee.

Now Jeremy didn’t always drink coffee in the morning but this day he was asked to get some, so while he’s there he might as well indulge. He could use a boost of energy anyway.

So on his usual drive to work he took a small detour to a local coffee shop, he got two coffees, one medium roast with extra milk and sugar, one dark roast with milk and one sugar. He didn’t think to get more, he wasn’t told to get more so why would he?

This dark roast with milk and one sugar had to do with a call, a call he got early in the morning, around 6:30 am, which is too early and it probably woke up half the house, it was Scotty calling from work, Jeremy didn’t think Scott really registered what time it was, he sounded out of it, but still profusely apologized about his request for him to pick up coffee.

This leads back to a scene from earlier in the week, the coffee pot in the break room had been broken leaving the Fazbear employee’s caffeineless, which isn’t a problem for him but Scott seemed rather upset about it, he did recall him often having a cup in hand, might explain some of his jumpiness, perhaps Scott should cut back on the caffeine actually.

Just another unhealthy habit Jeremy thought to himself

But the thing is Scott almost NEVER asks anything of anyone, even if he probably should, so of course Jeremy agreed. He can’t turn down the one time he’s asked for something, even if it fueled that habit, it was the least problematic of them anyway.

So Jeremy picked up the coffee.

As he arrived at the pizzeria and walked inside, the main entrance opened up to a large open room, to the left were tables that costumers sat to eat pizza and watch the animatronic band perform, the flooring was black and white tile while the walls had star patterned wallpaper with colorful images of the band along on some of the walls, other walls had a few drawings from past costumers put up on display. To the right of the entrance he saw Fritz in their usual spot, in the prize corner near the games, while all their jobs were rather loose in nature and you simply go where you’re needed, that was their ‘main’ job, they take tickets and exchange them for prizes, Fritz was often leaving that post however to help a kid cheat at ski ball or something.

The place had been open for just around an hour, there was a couple of older kids lingering around on the arcade games but it was far from busy. Fritz didn’t take notice that Jeremy had arrived as they were messing with the little prizes behind the counter, such as the finger traps and those rubber poppers. He liked those poppers if he was being honest, and sometimes took one for his own enjoyment.

Jeremy walked past the prize corner and towards the break room, it always felt rude to talk to someone unless they were close enough to him, -what that distance was exactly he didn’t really know himself, depended on the mood and person-, or if said person directly talked to him first, and it felt silly to walk all the way up to someone just to say hello and turn away. So he stayed quiet. This sometimes labeled him as rude either way if someone expected a greeting and he didn’t supply.

He opened the break room door to find Scotty sitting at a table, slumped forward propping his head up with his hands while rubbing his temples with his thumbs, but when he heard the door he looked up, almost in a startled fashion, but that friendly crooked smile he always has on quickly replaced his nervous face.

Jeremy liked that crooked smile, it always leaned towards the right of his face, showing off his dimple on that side.

Underneath his smile however he looked tired, and it seemed like he just got more worn down with every day that went by. Scotty’s always been an overachiever when it came to work, he took long hours and probably did the equivalent of three people's jobs at the same time, but lately it seemed like it’s taken a toll on him. Jeremy’s tried to discourage this behavior in the past but that would usually just end with Scott finding a way to weasel his way out of those conversations.

There wasn’t much to the break room, it had a couple of plain tables strewn about with mismatched chairs surrounding them, a counter against the wall to the left of the entrance with a microwave sitting on it, the coffee pot formerly sat next to it as well, with a couple of cupboards above it that didn’t house much of anything besides a few cups, and at the end of the counter a fridge.

“I’m here.” Jeremy announced, giving him a quick smile

“Oh thank God! I have such a headache-” Scotty said as he shot out of his chair and walked over to Jeremy

Jeremy held out the dark roast with milk and one sugar to Scott

Scott took it and realized he wasn’t being very polite, “OH- Sorry, uh- Hello! How ya doing?” he asked, but quickly followed it up with another question “ Oh, how much was it?”

“Um. I’m fine. And you don’t have to worry about payment.” Jeremy reassured him

“Nonsense!” Scott said, reaching into his pocket “You are NOT paying for my addictions... Ah-!”

“- That’ll do!” Scott said while handing him a crumpled-up wad of spare change, just looking at it Jeremy could tell it was way too much for one dark roast with milk and one sugar.

Before Jeremy could say anything the break room door swung open again as Fritz walked in

“Ooooh, coffee!” Fritz said as they walked by Jeremy “Didn’t get me one~?” Fritz said in a tone that seemed playful, but Jeremy couldn’t quite tell if it was. He’s never been good at picking up tones very well.

“I didn’t know you wanted one, I’m sorry.” Jeremy said. He should have got more coffee, for everyone.

“Nah it’s ok, Jere, I’m joking, I’m sure Scotty called before I was even here.” Fritz said leaning on Scott’s shoulder while he sipped on his dark roast with milk and one sugar

“Wait a minute-” Jeremy started as he realized what time Scott really did call at “You did call from here right? Just how early did you get here?”

But before Scott was able to answer Fritz piped in instead "Dude, he’s BEEN here since 12 last night!” they gave Scott a friendly nudge, but as Scott pulled the coffee away from his mouth he gave out this nervous chuckle

“Wait- wait- Scott, you’re working the night shift?” Jeremy asked, he suddenly felt a sense of dread at the mention of it

“Um. Uh- Yeah, heh...” Scott said awkwardly

Jeremy hadn’t realized Scott had taken over the night shift, no wonder this man seemed more exhausted than usual.

“But you’re here during the day all the time!” Jeremy stated “Ok- Just how many double shifts do you take?”

“Uh- W-Whatever I’m a- asked..?” Scott said with a nervous grin, his shoulders raised up as if to brace himself, he put his coffee down on the table

“Scott-- God the night shift-- Do you LEAVE?”

“O- Of course! I can’t live here!”

“You say that like you would if you could!” Jeremy was obviously showing frustration in his voice, he didn’t mean to but the amount of work this man did stressed Jeremy out, and the night shift stressed him out even more

“Well- I mean- I’m not doing anything else anyway-” Scott started

“Well you should! Scotty you’re already working so many hours, do you sleep?! You have to realize this isn’t healthy-!” Jeremy was cut off by the break room door opening again

William stood in the doorway, his usual calm demeanor did not seem to be about him today, his brow furrowed and shoulders hunched in a manner unlike him “... What is going on in here?” he asked

“- Brought up Scott’s poor work-life balance, now the boys are fighting.” Fritz told him

William pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed “... Ok. I don’t care- There’s currently no employees out on the floor and a birthday party in an hour, can we stop the chit-chat and get things moving.” he snapped

“Yes, you’re right, William!” Scott quickly moved past William out the door on to the floor, obviously glad to find a reason to stop the conversation. William followed.

Jeremy took a deep breath as he watched him walk away “... You think Scotty works too much too, right?” he turned to Fritz, hoping he had an ally, fearing he might be coming off a little too overprotective.

“Oh definitely,” Fritz replied “He’s stubborn when it comes to work tho, you can’t get that guy to sit down. Seeing as you didn’t know he’s on the night shift I guess you haven’t seen his schedule, you should take a look, that thing is a MESS.”

Fritz walked out the door as well, leaving Jeremy alone with his medium roast with extra milk and extra sugar. He didn’t like the mood that was left hanging in this room, he felt bad for getting upset with Scotty, his problems wouldn’t improve just cause Jeremy got fussy with him. But Scotty always pushed these things aside, insisting they could “bring it up later” or “it’s not that bad” or simply just changing the subject, he didn’t know how to talk about it with him without getting fussy at this point.

It seemed like most of their recent conversations ended in frustration. Scotty grew a lot more distant after The Bite, and didn’t tell him about anything anymore, and if asked he would brush him off, he stopped having lunch with him or Fritz and usually spent most his time working or talking with William so any time for socializing was spent elsewhere. He missed his friend.

He didn’t want to just drop it but he didn’t know what more he could do, if Scotty didn’t want his help he can’t force him to talk to him or make him take less hours.

... The night shift...

Jeremy had sworn off the night shift after his first and only week on it, he didn’t like thinking about it, but the reason it was so bad was the animatronics weren’t right, they had something wrong with them, which is why they were scrapped. Those animatronics that seemed out for his blood weren’t in use anymore, and with them the problems of the night shift were gone. At least that’s what William said, Jeremy had no intentions of seeing that for himself, just the thought gave him anxieties.

But that means at least Scott would have the 6 hours to just sit down and relax, right?

He still didn’t think it was good, and Scott definitely should be taking more time off, but maybe Jeremy’s reaction was a bit unwarranted. He would apologize for his harsh tone when he got the chance.

Jeremy took both his medium roast with extra milk and sugar and the half-drunken dark roast with milk and one sugar and put them in the break room’s fridge, maybe they could drink them at lunch together later he thought.

and he got to work.
