Random Headcanons Time!!

Burgundy is a big swiftie (Taylor Swift fan) and her favorite albums are Speak Now and Debut.

The song she relates to the most is "Picture to Burn" from the debut album.

She talks about Taylor Swift A lot to the point where it annoys her friends (especially Georgia) a little. But they don't say anything to her since that is an accident waiting to happen.

She also has made a lot of bracelets for Taylor Swift's albums but she never wears them in public due to fear of being judged by others.

For her 16th birthday, Cilan got Burgundy her own guitar since she loves to sing and actually aspires to become a singer/songwriter and not top pokemon connoisseur like it seemed.

Burgundy has a beautiful singing voice which is a talent of hers that her schoolmates at the Pokemon Connoisseurs Association don't seem to recognize.

Side note: my way of portraying Burgundy was inspired by one of my close mutuals <3

One day I shall give myself reasonable sized illustrations to create but today is not that day.

Anyway this is me just sorta spitballing ideas for a Scarecrow Pokémon team, not really based on any particular Scarecrow but taking bits and pieces from all of em’

In order from newest caught (none of them have names cause I suck at that):

Weezing: Caught when he found them hanging around his hideout, adsorbing start fear toxin fumes from the air

Crobat: Caught as a regular Gotham Zubat, after his first encounter with the Batman

Banette: Found them hiding in a small crawl space in the closet of his dingy apartment, when he fist rented it

Rapidash: Acquired(stolen) from a rundown and questionable farm as a Ponyta

Murkrow and Cacturne: Caught when he first left Georgia to head to Gotham, although he’s known both of them for much longer but wasn’t allowed to officially catch them as his own Pokémon

I will be drawing more full illustrations for them and probably give them more back story, but I’m done for now

Also if anyone wants to suggest any other rogues and Pokémon ideas that be pretty cool 👍 I’m just most familiar with Scarecrow

How about something friendshippy/familial between Texas and one of/some members of the South? (Not Louie or Flo only though please!) Maybe Tennessee, Georgia and/or Kentucky?

OOOOO YAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYA \o/

Okay so- I imagine Texas to either have a neutral, pretty damn friendly, or brotherly (both big and little) relationship with the south. I’m just gonna name off different southern states and tell you what I think their relationship is with Texas! <3

Alabama: Neutral, though they aren’t against going out to get drinks together and they won’t murder each other by simply being in a room together. But at the same time, Texas thinks that Alabama is too much of an asshole to Louisiana and a few others for him to wanna be around.

Arkansas: they’re pretty chill. They don’t really have any problems with each other, they just don’t hang out a lot. :]

Florida: they’re basically the- crazy-but-cool-uncle + equally-as-crazy-but-is-good-at-hiding-it-nephew. Idk. They just give that vibe. They’re friendly with each other but if Florida does anything to hurt Loui, Texas is going to kill him.

Georgia: Very lovely father/son relationship. Georgia is like a father figure to Texas, and loves him like a son. Georgia whacked him in the head with the adoption stick the day that Texas became a state.

Kentucky: again, a very lovely father/son relationship, very similar to Georgia and Texas’s. Texas has found that Kentucky is weak to the puppy eyes too.

Louisiana: they have both a best friend and brotherly relationship and will ALWAYS be there for each other. You mess with one, you mess with the other. Loui is one of the first people to ever get Texas to open up and one of the first to give Texas a shoulder to cry on, and Texas will forever be grateful. Don’t mess with Loui unless you want to have a knife or ten shoved down your throat. I could honestly go on and on about them-

Mississippi: They friends :] Texas will protect Sippi with his life and Sippi will do the same. Or- he’ll try. If Texas lets him. He won’t, but it’s nice to know that the thought is there.

North Carolina: I think they could be pretty good friends tbh. They don’t talk much, but they would sure as hell be more than fine with being in a room together.

Oklahoma: Do not, I repeat, do NOT leave these mfs in a room together. They don’t hate each other too much, and can be friendly sometimes, but Oklahoma annoys the living sh*t out of Texas and they will co-sign each other’s obituaries.

South Carolina: They friends :D they both enjoy hanging out with each other. It’s kinda like a big bro/little bro thing, but not quite.

Tennessee: Uhhhh- well their relationship is…..weird to say the least. Like- they’re friends, but not friends. Texas disagrees with a lot of the stuff Tenn does, but at the same time they are okay with being around each other. But I swear to god if Tenn decides to mouth off, he’s getting punched.

Virginia: they’re like a mother/son relationship. Cuz lets be honest, Virginia is more of a mother than a father, and he sure as hell acts like a mother hen. Especially to Texas cuz he’s a clumsy bitch and bruises easily. Texas acts like he’s annoyed, but he’s secretly grateful.

I love to just think about Georgia and Burgundy as young children. It's just fun to think about what their dynamic would be and what kind of mischief they get into together ;)

I hc that their preschool class had a picnic/party at a park to celebrate the kids graduating and heading off to Kindergarten. Well, Georgia had the idea to go play by this certain creek in the park and she wasn't going to do it without an accomplice. She practically convinced Burgundy to go with her to the creek and the two headed off even though they were told to stay with their class. Long story short, They were caught after Burgundy injured herself after tripping on some rocks by the creek and were lightly repremanded for being just absolute menaces to society. 💜❤️

Katharine “Katie” Harris, #1 cat lover, a proud viewer of 31 Adam Sandler movies, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on October 14, 2023, at 25.

Katie was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 31, 1997. They were a Capricorn through and through. Katie was homeschooled until high school when she attended The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. In 2020, Katie graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a BS in Psychology. After working as a substitute teacher through GCPS, she began work as a Research Associate for Quantitative Insights at Material+.

Katie was a light to all who knew them. Her humor and wit were unmatched -- she could make anyone laugh, no matter the circumstances, and she always found the spark of humor in the most challenging moments. They loved books, especially books about lesbians, and, most especially, lesbian found-family science-fiction. She visited Disney more times than anyone could count, and even though she loved roller coasters with a passion, her favorite Disney ride was “Living with the Land.” Their passions included sectional sofas, weird earrings, the McElroy Brothers, Pokémon, Adam Sandler, lesbians, concerts, pasta, puns, eating kiwis with the skin on (and reminding everyone of it), The Sims, Survivor, Infinity Train, fries with a side of ranch, other people’s drama, scenic overlooks, information centers, and so much more.

Katie was immensely passionate. She was never afraid to speak up and fight for what she believed in. They couldn’t tolerate people who lack empathy, people who don’t use their turn signals, olives, or push doors that look like pull doors. She never rode in an elevator unless she had absolutely no other choice because you never know when you might get stuck.

Between the celebration of life, legal fees, and time off work, Katie’s family is facing a huge and unexpected financial burden. If you are able, please contribute whatever you can. We will never forget her.
