Power of hope precure ep 9:
Making this as I go as I can already tell this is going to be a big one
IT IS! IT IS!! Lots of caps and spoilers under the cut, so seriously, go and watch the ep first before reading.
As always, spoilers under the cut:
- straight in with a Rouge action open
- ooo her attack's weakening
- AAAAAA flower blip again, this time as Dream. Not good not good
- Sakiiiiiii so worried about her bread
- so her parents want her to take over the bakery. No wonder she's nervous.
- Saki forgot the ring. SAKI FORGOT THE RING
- HAPPY SAKI!! love this gal!
- yes nerd out Saki Love your love
- They're all fans of dark night light
- OH SO NOW YOU THINK THEY SOUND FAMILIAR?! TOOK YOU * LONG ENOUGH
- Ofc Komachi is still hung up about the clock tower. Writer's brain knows what's up.
- "Like what?" Saki dear, there's being oblivious, and then there's watching an entire fleet of Precure fly over your head and not thinking 'maybe I should help.'
- hugs for Saki. Many many hugs for Saki.
- Takkun. We know your name now.
- NOT MAI ASKING TO TAKE HER OUT. AJFLAJHDJSKAKAKFJKSKSJ I HAVEN'T LEARNT ENOUGH JAPANESE TO KNOW IF THE PHRASING WAS DATE ADJACENT BUT THE SUBTITLES ARE SENDING ME and I can dream
- sky tree sky tree sky tree sky tree
- lajdjaldjkakahsjlalallfhdn ofc the sky tree property developers are back. This is gonna be hilarious. Bit more cautious this time...or maybe not
- yes Mai. Nobody knows Saki like you.
- OOo evil tree plant creature
- yayyayyay eyecatch
- YES THEY ARE HERE!!!! GOATS!!! to the rescue!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
- "If you leave everything to humans, the world will fall into ruin." Oof
- A HUNDRED HUGS FOR SAKI OMG GIRL I JUST WANT TO PROTECC
- Oooo twin time flowers
- wait
- IT'S HAPPENING!!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL IT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!!! THEY TRANSFORMED!
- guys, you needed to update the music- the background sounded so crunchy compared to everything else oof
- Okay, I'm gonna go back and get a screenshot of that, because I was gonna say that Bloom and Egret look so pretty kicking ass but then Egret kicked the monster and looks ridiculous
The culprit: (Yes I know smear frames are one thing but this just looks weird)
Tumblr media
- Yes!! Iconic attack to finish!!! I wonder if they get an advantage because they take the power from the earth and land around them
-yay Saki is talking to people! Finally. All that worry for nothing
- Okay, I'm starting to like Takkun
- Precure connections really helping out now. love that
- ofc those two do a dramatic reveal
- back to the bell tower.
- okay, so everybody has a time flower, all usefully colour coded, and it's bad bad.
- OH SHIT!
- So Nozomi's in trouble, and her time flower is dying (maybe?) We saw a petal fall, so consequences are getting really real now
- okay yeah, we all know that telling them not to transform into precure anymore won't work out. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out next week.
See you then!

Pairing : Suna x Reader
Previous Part / Next Part
Masterlist
Tumblr media
- Dinner's ready ! you hear Suna announce.
You turned toward him.
- What do you mean "dinner's ready" ? Get out of my home !
He only laughed and you joined him. He was supposed to meet his friends in ten minutes, yet he was still with you, ready to eat.
Since that party a couple of months ago, he started to hang out with you more often. More often quickly became very often and he was even invited to your video calls with Nozomi. Like today.
- So is it still movie day or are we video calling ? he asked.
- Oh, please, Nozomi said. You love our video calls.
Our video calls. You noticed it too. Nozomi accepted Suna and the two of them could even consider each other's friend. You didn't expect them to get along that well, but you liked seeing people you loved being in friendly term with one another.
- You're gonna be late, Rin, you told him.
- I'm already late, he shrugged, so what's ten more minutes ?
You hated that he wasn't seeing his friends because of you. Sure, it was his choice but still... you couldn't name the feeling inside of you every time you did. You wanted to smile, to hide, your heart was hurting and beating fast.
- Ok, I'm going...
He walked to you and hugged you. It almost felt like an habit. It wasn't really a "until next time" goodbye because you knew you were most likely seeing him before the end of the week. He was often coming to your appartment or you were going to his, even if it was just for a very short time.
You heard a knock on your front door.
- Oh, so that's why you're kicking me out ! Suna said playfully. You were waiting for someone !
You frowned. You weren't waiting for anybody. You walked to your front door and opened.
- Eiji ?
- Y/N !
He had a box on his hands. He opened it and you saw a beautiful cake. Your eyes lit up immediately.
- There's this new bakery close to my place so I bought a cake and I wanted to eat it with you so badly... that's why I came here.
You could see in his eyes that he wanted to hide. You got used to his shy side, you even liked it a lot. He was turning red right in front of your eyes. It was cute. You smiled softly. You were about to say something but you got interrupted by the voice in your living room.
- Dinner's ready, Y/N ! I even baked a cake so you better tell me about it !
Suna suddenly appeared next to you. He looked at you, Eiji, and then the cake. He immediately turned to you.
- Forget I said anything !
- I'm so sorry for interrupting ! I shouldn't have come here uninvited, I'm so sorry.
Suna spoke before you did :
- No, it's fine, I was leaving.
He turned to you :
- Eat the cake tomorrow, ok ?
He left, wishing the two of you a good night.
- Am I really not disturbing ? Nomura asked again.
You kissed him. You had spent the entire day together at work but he had still missed you.
- Never. You can always come to my place, you know ?
He nodded.
- Actually, I was on video call with my best friend. Would you like to meet her ?
- Sure.
You guided him to your sofa.
- Nozomi ? you called.
- Oh, you're back, I thought you had left me for good !
When you sat, you realized she was on her phone and hadn't seen your boyfriend yet. You cleared your throat and she finally raised her head.
- Oh wow ! she said. Hello ! You must be Y/N's boyfriend !
"Oh wow" ? You forced yourself into staying quiet. You wanted to laugh so bad, she was always so embarrassing during first meetings. You talked more and more about him to Nozomi since the two of you started dating.
- Hi, he said.
You looked at him. He was really shy around strangers. You didn't expect that so the first time he had told you about it, you were really surprised. His aura was so much different than the one at work. You loved seeing him switch when he was looking at you with his puppy eyes at work. Most of your lunches had turned into dates since the two of you began dating. It felt good to be with him, comfortable.
You looked at the two of them talking. Even if he seemed very comfortable, you could tell he was making a huge effort by the way his ears had turned red. You decided to end the call soon after.
- The cake was delicious ! you said.
- I'm happy you liked it...
He kissed your forehead. Then, your cheek. And then, your neck. His arms were wrapped around your body. You felt good, warm.
- Stay the night ? you whispered.
It was the first time you asked. You had slept in his apartment multiple times since the two of you started dating, but never the opposite. You always felt like you were not ready let him in that much, but not today. Today, you were ready.
- I'll stay, he whispered.

Night Gourmet
Jujusanpo audiodrama bonus of DVD vol. 4. Just Nanami talking about his dinner. Listen to the full version here.
.
Thank you for choosing to ride shinkansen today too. We are going out of Shin-yokohama, the next stop is Nagoya.
This is the last Nozomi (1) in this weekday. There are a lot of people in suits maybe riding before Kusu town just the same as me. But it is strange. Inside the shinkansen after leaving work at night 11 pm, usually there are a lot of people who leave works at 11 pm and the train always feels like it’s late. It feels like a night train.
(phone ringing in distance)
Yosh. The next seat to me is really empty (open his bag).
Now that Tokaido shinkansen leaves from Shin-yokohama, I can finally have my meal in peace. (The train) will arrive in Nagoya in around eighty minutes. I can eat food without anyone disturbing me, it’s pleasant time. Today I will eat dinner the same as my lunch– bread.
(plastic rustling)
Usually, bread can be roughly divided into three groups; shokupan (2) and baguette alike that have neutral taste, Sozai bread (3), and sweet bread. The way to combine these three breads are infinite, but with good and simple combination, it’s like a glimpse into individuals in human race.
My line up for today is croquette bread, cascoot (4), mentai French (5). And then four red-bean paste oyaki. It was late today so everything sold out had been bought, but thankfully I was able to complete the line-up, I’m very lucky that especially cascoot is still left! But it can’t always be happiness, the problem is where I should attack from.
So I decided on a theory. The first thing is always the thing that doesn’t leave too much taste, but now the answer that show me the way, cascoot first!
In my mind, what is called cascoot is classic filled with ham and camembert cheese, but today I chose cascoot with pastrami beef, cheese, and pickles. It’s not too much to say that how this choice turns out will decide the quality of this dinner.
(eating)
Ooh, this is delicious. The richness of Pastrami beef seasoned with spicy black pepper and cheese, then pickles give it accent. Everything wrapped up inside baguette. Alone they are simple, but to be able to create such harmony. This seems to be the best start.
(plastic rustle)
Okay, the next one. Croquette bread and mentai French. The problem is where should I attack next. This is quite annoying, but I think counting back from red bean paste oyaki which should be the last, as expected (the next is) croquette bread. Why? Because before red bean paste oyaki, inside of the mouth should taste the highest level of saltiness. Doing it like that, dessert should be the last thing to be eaten today, so the umami taste of red bean paste oyaki can be obtained at to utmost.
(plastic rustle)
Hm. In a small koppe bread (7) croquette with sauce and cabbage, there’s no simpler croquette bread than this. I can even imagine how it would taste. This sense of stability is the essence of croquette bread. Well, then.
(eating)
The croquette is simple meat with potatoes, the crunchiness of cabbage still left. This is what you call “the croquette bread—wait, this sauce is a bit unique. No, this is clearly very unique!
(continue eating)
Hmm. The harmony for earlier cascoot all flies away. For the time being, I’ll reset the inside of mouth with black coffee.
(drink coffee)
That doesn’t work! The sauce taste still left in my mouth. Now that this happens, it can’t be helped. I will use mentai French to overcome the lingering taste of the sauce and forcefully return it like the beginning.
(eating)
Not bad. Not bad at all. Inside of my mouth becomes even more salty. On top of that, the saltiness of the sauce and the saltiness of the mentai is just different saltiness. It’s different too from the saltiness in the beginning. Unfortunately, this is not supposed to be like this.
(train sound)
No. Not yet. It’s too early to be discouraged. This saltiness is surely will make the sweetness of red bean paste stand out. The umami taste of the oyaki will be pulled out to the highest.
(rustling)
That way, the quality of this dinner can be quite secured. And then I can obtain the radiant feeling of Kyoto sunset. Well then.
(rustling, eating)
This is… salty. Even though it’s red bean paste oyaki, how can… This is… pickled mustard? Why pickled mustard? *gasp*
Oh, so it’s like that. If I’m not wrong, it was because before the shop was almost closed. The red bean paste and pickled mustard oyaki were placed in the same tray. I was rushing to catch the last train so I chose wrong, huh. It's my fault then...
(continue eating, drinking)
*sigh* If I know things will turn out like this, I should’ve just choose anpan (8).
(end)
(1) A type of Tokaido Shinkansen service (2) loaf bread, usually served as thick sliced bread (3) bread filled with various side-dish, usually savory (4) the same sandwich as the one Nanami bought from the bakery in the anime (5) baguette filled with pollock roe (6) chewy buckwheat dumpling filled with various stuff (7) bread with oblong shape, like hot dog buns (8) sweet bread with sweet red ben paste filling
(I deleted my previous version of this audiodrama short sample translation because of several mistranslations. Hopefully this one have less mistakes)

“It’s February... I ought to get my chocolate-making technique down so I can really knock Eiji’s socks off this year.”
“Right... I’d... I’d like to impress Nozomi too..”
“Ah! That reminds me, a while ago, I ran into this girl whose family’s got a bakery... Pretty sure she’s in Raiden’s class, maybe y’all could ask her for help?”
“That’s a good idea, Shiho! Do you know her name?”
“Yeah, I think it was... Oshii.”

(sweet)heart to heart
For @kurodai-week‘s KuroDai Valentine’s Day Event 2020: Happy Crush
----
“Excuse me, Mr. Officer-san.”
Daichi looks down at the elementary school girl tugging his uniform shirt. He gets down on one knee and gives the child a smile. “Hello there. How may I help you?”
“Uhm,” the girl takes off her backpack and puts it down on the sidewalk, opens it and takes out a rather beat up stalk of a pink camellia.
“For you, Mr. Officer-san,” she presents with a toothy smile. Daichi has to bite his lips to keep himself from squealing because of how cute the little girl is being but it’s a near thing, especially when he chokes out a garbled but touched “F-for me?”
The little girl nods earnestly with a hum. “For always keeping us safe.”
Awww, Daichi’s inner voice supplied as he takes the flower and fixes his cap to keep his composure. “I’m just doing my job. But thank you very much for this, little miss.”
“You’re welcome!” She exclaimed, but deflates soon and starts giving Daichi a look that he’s seen one too many times in his twin sibling’s faces. The look of guilt.
“What’s wrong?”
The little girl bites her lips. “I’m supposed to give you a candy as well, Mr. Officer-san. But I got curious and ate it. I’m sorry.”
Daichi beams. “It’s alright, little miss. The flower is enough for me. Besides, I think you deserve that candy for doing something nice today,” he says patting her on the head. “It’ll be our little secret, okay?” He says putting his finger over his lips and winks at her.
The girl nods, brightens up and instantly her mood was better. “Thank you, Mr. Officer-san!”
“Well, you better go home now. I’m sure your Mommy is waiting for you.”
After watching her put her bag on, he sends her off with a smile and a wave.
---
Their meeting continued on for a week, with Nozomi-chan, as Daichi finds out on the second day of meeting the little lady, diligently bringing him pink camellias to add to his growing collection kept and cared for in a vase in his apartment. She doesn’t stay for too long, always just gives him the flowers and apologizes for eating the candy and leaves after promises of seeing him the next day.
It’s honestly making Daichi curious, as this had become a pattern, though he doesn’t ask her yet where the flowers and the disappearing candy are coming from.
On hindsight, he probably should have.
---
Nozomi-chan meets him as usual, but she isn’t as bright or energetic as she had been the last couple of days. Daichi’s instantly on his knee as he looks over her, looking for injuries or anything that could clue him to what happened to her.
“Nozomi-chan, what’s wrong?”
Nozomi pouts. “I got scolded for eating the candies meant for you, Officer-niichan. But… they don’t taste good so I’ve been eating them instead. I didn’t want to give them to you! I’m sorry for keeping them away.”
She sniffles and starts crying. “Oh, Nozomi-chan,” he says and rubs her back, letting her cry. “I’m not angry with you, if that’s what you think. And I think it’s brave of you, so thank you for trying to protect me, I appreciate it.”
This seemed to calm her down.
“What are those candies anyway?” Daichi asks. Nozomi proceeds to take her bag off and like clockwork, takes out a pink camellia but this time, there’s a small candy wrapped in a neatly folded light orange tissue paper as well. Daichi takes them both and puts the flower down on his thigh to open the wrapped candy.
Inside the small square wrap is a piece of white candy heart with a message that says ‘U R CUTE’ and Daichi looks down on it with growing horror.
This little girl had been eating the candy hearts meant for him and she got scolded because apparently, the messages aren’t being delivered to him. Oh god, what else were written in the previous hearts? What is her mother thinking?
Oh wait…oh no… her mother. Nozomi-chan’s mother is asking her to do this and oh god, Daichi is going to lose his job for this, isn’t he?
“N-Nozomi-chan, this is…”
“I’m sorry! I told Rooster Head onii-chan that you wouldn’t like it, because I don’t like it, because it doesn’t taste good. But he said that it wasn’t meant for me to eat anyway and that I should have given them to you instead, but I just don’t want you to hate him for giving you bad candy because you really like the flowers. I told him that, but he won’t believe me!”
Daichi blinks. “Nozomi-chan, Hold on… who is… onii-chan?”
Nozomi nods. “Rooster Head onii-chan is supposed to be smart because he’s a doctor, but he doesn’t know what good candy to give. He should have just given you chocolates.” She stomps her feet and cross her arms. “But then again, I might have eaten them too, but I would have shared with you if I think they taste good.”
Daichi shakes his head. “Nozomi-chan, wait a minute. So the flowers and the candy… they’re not from your mom?”
“No,” she says shaking her head and starting to look confused.
Daichi breathes in relief because he was already knee deep in his worst case scenario imagination, but he doesn’t let himself be too relaxed yet.
“They’re from the Rooster onii-chan?”
“Yes! I call him Rooster Head onii-chan because his hair makes him look like a rooster.” She says proudly.
“And who is this Rooster Head onii-chan?”
“He’s my neighbor! He lives across the street from my house. He’s a doctor.”
“And he asked you to give me flowers and candies?”
“Uh-huh. He really likes you, Officer-niichan.”
Daichi nods, taking the information in. Alright, that doesn’t sound so bad. But no, wait. Someone he doesn’t completely know about is using a child to get close to him. “Nozomi-chan. He’s not a bad person, is he? He’s not forcing you or scaring you to do this? You can tell me the truth.”
“What?” Nozomi looks surprised and a little offended. “No! No. Doctor-niichan is handsome and kind. He’s not a bad person.” She exclaims earnestly, little fists in front of her. “Everyone likes him. I like him because he always makes sure I’m healthy and the medicine he gives me when I’m sick doesn’t taste bad. And he walks with me to school on his way to his clinic. Officer-niichan, please don’t hate Doctor-niichan! He just doesn’t know what good candies are there.”
“A-Alright. I believe you, Nozomi-chan. But did he tell you why he’s giving me flowers and candy hearts?”
“I told you, Officer-niichan. He really likes you!”
Daichi clears his throat at that. “Yeah, but why would he… you… I mean. Nozomi-chan, I don’t know who this Doctor-oniichan of yours is and he really shouldn’t have…”
“Well, why don’t we go to his clinic so you can meet him?”
That’s…not a bad idea but Daichi doesn’t know if he’s ready to meet him already. He’s still processing everything. And since Nozomi hasn’t given him reason to be so suspicious and he believes that she’s not in any danger, he wants to think it over for some time first.
“I’m still working, so I can’t go with you. But maybe you can tell me where his clinic is?” It’s pretty underhanded, but it’s not like he’s the first one who did something even more underhanded. This doctor obviously know him, have seen him around to know who to send the flowers and candies to, and it’s unfair that Daichi doesn’t know who he is. At least that’s the logic he’s going by.
Nozomi tells him, and after the whole fiasco and asking Nozomi not to tell her Doctor-oniichan about what he asked, they both bid each other their goodbyes.
-----
It’s his day off and Daichi has a pretty clear idea of what he will do that day. He’s familiar with the place where the clinic is. It’s beside a flower shop, nearby the bakery he frequents and across his favorite coffee shop. And upon seeing the clinic, he remembers being inside before, when he helped a man who passed out on the sidewalk get immediate medical attention.
Is that how Nozomi’s doctor-niichan knew about him? He doesn’t remember seeing a male doctor during that time. It was just a young nurse who led him to one of the vacant rooms. Then again, he wasn’t able to stick around for long as he gets a call from his radio.
He’s about to take a peek inside through the window, but he didn’t get the chance to because the door of the clinic opens and out comes a tall man with a messy hair, waving casually to the person behind him. “I’ll be back in an hour,” he says lightly, but he stops short when he sees Daichi standing in front of the clinic and Daichi sees the way his eyes widened behind his glasses and his mouth open.
“Make sure you are back on time, Doctor Kuroo!” Someone says from inside.
The man, Kuroo closes the door behind him quickly and looks like he’s ready to bolt and Daichi can see how he has to take a deep breath and collect himself before he address Daichi again. “Uhm, are you here for a check-up?”
“No.”
“Oh. Well, then…uhh, it’s lunch break, so you can come back later if you uhhh… yeah.” Kuroo nods and sharply turns to walk away from Daichi.
“Do you know Nozomi-chan?”
Daichi sees the way Kuroo stops and stiffens at the mention of the name. But he doesn’t look back at him. So Daichi decides to be bolder.
“Are you her Rooster Head onii-chan?”
“She told you that?!” Kuroo turns and sputters out but immediately covers his mouth with both his hands, realizing how he’d stupidly given himself away.
“So you are?”
Kuroo puts his hands on the whole of his face and groans. “Look, I’m really sorry. Nozomi-chan is a good kid and I know I shouldn’t have made her do that. I’ll go quietly, I won’t put up a fight if you arrest me.”
“Why do you think I would arrest you?”
Kuroo peeks up at him from behind his hands. “Because I’m a creepy secret admirer who used an innocent kid to get close to his crush?” His voice cracked at the word crush and he hides his face on his hands again.
Daichi may or may not have blushed upon hearing that and covers up his embarrassment with a cough. “Well, it’s a bit creepy as you said, and worrying since a child was involved but a little girl was defensive and has nice things to say about you, so maybe I thought of checking you out to see if you’re not so bad after all.”
It takes a full minute for Kuroo to take his hands off his face to look at Daichi. “What?”
“I don’t mind the candy hearts, despite what Nozomi-chan thinks about them. I don’t mind the secret admirer bit, though I would like it better to get to know the person who’s been sending me flowers and candies personally.” Daichi admits, feeling himself blush.
Kuroo gapes at him until he shakes himself out of his confusion and takes a hesitant step towards Daichi.
“You want to… get to… know me?”
Daichi shrugs. “You have a glowing recommendation from Nozomi-chan. So…?”
Kuroo pats his pocket and fishes out a small wrapped candy and hands it to Daichi.
Daichi takes it and opens it. At the center of the folded paper is a pink conversation heart with the word ‘Hello’.
Daichi looks up at Kuroo and smiles. “Hi.”

A Coffeeshop Christmas Carol, Ch. 6
NicoMaki, HonoKotoUmi, Love Live, 2.4K, 6/?
Summary: We see what Professor Sonoda's day is like.
An Umi Day
A yawn. Soft hair tickling her nose. Honoka probably, Umi thought, smiling. Had the alarm gone off? No, something else had woken her. Umi opened her eyes. Kotori was staring, a lost look in her eyes that worried Umi. Perhaps New York was lonely and that was why Kotori was pushing them to spend the holiday there?
“Kotori?”
“Eeep?!?!?!” An adorable jump accompanied the squeal. Kotori wrapped her kimono closer, the cranes flying across the blue a soothing morning view.
“Is there something worrying you?”
Kotori shook her head, biting her lip. Umi considered kicking Honoka awake, but decided Honoka needed sleep and Kotori needed some individual attention. Their relationship was a garden Umi tended carefully.
“Let’s talk over coffee.”
“I wanted to visit that coffeeshop today.”
Umi grabbed her bathrobe, glancing back at a soundly sleeping Honoka. Bakery hours and Kotori time made for long days.
“Why don’t we let Honoka sleep in and come back and surprise her with our ratings of her pastries? She’s been perfecting her cheese danishes.”
“Ooohh.” A gleam in Kotori’s eye. Umi was pleased.
“Just give me five minutes.”
“What about your exercises?”
“I will do a warm up form while you pick your coat for today,” Umi pulled Kotori into a tight hug. “And we can walk briskly. I’m sure you will need to burn some calories in advance.” Umi teased lightly, relishing the feel of Kotori relaxing into her embrace. Perhaps it was time for an adjustment in the geographical distribution of their relationship.
###
Umi paused and lowered her violin. She had been demonstrating the different effects of bouncing a bow sautillé or spiccato on an Antonio Vivaldi piece but Nana Nakagawa was paying no attention, very unusual for the usually diligent sophomore.
“Nan, is something concerning you?”
Nana’s expression turned discomfited and she lowered her own bow and violin, gray eyes wide behind her glasses. “My apologies, Professor Sonoda. I am allowing other concerns to distract me.”
Umi gestured to a stool with her bow, sitting herself to encourage Nana to engage, “If you are preoccupied with something serious enough to disturb your focus, perhaps discussing it will help.”
Nana sat and said nothing and Umi was about to pick up her bow and begin again when words rushed out of her pupil, “I scheduled an audition after this, for a singing role, and I’ve never done anything like that before, well, never on a public stage, just in choirs and choruses and I don’t know what to do, or if I want to stay on the conducting track, but nothing feels like singing...at karaoke, even, just the way people NOTICE…” Gray eyes were gleaming and the bow was conducting an imaginary audience.
Ah, Umi could make a jump from those clues. “So you’re auditioning for A Christmas Carol and…”
Umi hoped her pupil's speeding words would continue.
“If I like it, really like it, what am I going to do, my parents already had to deal with me not being an engineer or a pre med, will they just think I’m a dilettante? I can’t tell them, Professor Sonoda, I just can't, but if I get a part, I’ll have to explain why I’m staying on campus.”
Time to interrupt the panic. Raising a hand to quiet Nana, Umi spoke,“First, audition. Do your tasks in their proper order. There may be nothing to tell your parents.”
Her audience doubted that statement but was willing to devote some thought to it, “So don’t plan my post audition life yet?”
Umi nodded, “Exactly. You are worrying about conversations that may not be required. You should save your energy and focus on communicating to Professor Yazawa your suitability for a role.”
Nana zoomed back to panic, pale face, shaky hands, never good for a violinist. Umi sighed. Time for a task they could succeed at. Confidence carried forward. Umi put her violin in its case, indicating her pupil should do the same.
“Let’s take a moment to analyze this piece. The composer has done some very clever things with the general arrangement.”
Nana leaned forward, switching her bow for a pencil, eyes intent on the pages before her, all worries lost in the challenge of music.
###
“UMI!” Honoka’s voice always gladdened Umi’s mood. The door of her office swung open with a vigor no one else could manage. “Thanks for letting me sleep in. Kotori’s got a bunch of business calls so I brought you lunch.” Honoka pulled Umi into a hug that neither of them wanted to break, Umi enjoying the comfort of a never too familiar warmth and strength. “How’s your day?”
Umi hugged tighter, surprising Honoka.
“What’s wrong, Umi?”
Umi broke the hug, but Honoka’s bright blue eyes maintained the warm connection.
“Other people’s worries.”
Honoka nodded, “Yeah, it’s that kind of a day, isn’t it.” Honoka closed the door and set two sandwiches on Umi’s desk, carefully spreading two cloth napkins first, “Nozomi was kinda grumpy and sad when I stopped in to see if she needed to reorder any pastries.”
“How was Kotori?” Had Honoka noticed anything? Or had Kotori hid her worries. Their coffeeshop conversation had yielded no insights, just Kotori describing the early sketches of her Summer theme.
“Kotori?” Honoka had a sandwich unwrapped, Umi’s lower filing cabinet drawer pulled out to prop her feet on, and a surprised look. “Is something wrong?”
Umi moved her chair next to Honoka, her own sandwich in hand, “I don’t think so.”
“That’s not convincing, Umi.”
Umi chuckled. Honoka always called out her hesitancies, “No, it’s not. Kotori, too, seems to be in a mood.”
“That kind of a day.”
“Seemingly.”
A sharp rap on the door pushed it open and Nico came halfway into the room. “Hi Honoka. Umi, fix your replacement. She doesn’t know anything.”
Honoka leaned her head on Umi’s shoulder, whispering, “Grumpus Contagious.”
Umi bit back a giggle. Her replacement? Oh, Nico must mean Maki. Nico vibrated impatiently in the center of the office. And Umi wanted to eat her lunch. Honoka had done something with pumpernickel and mustard from the tantalizing smell and Umi wondered what else had made its way into the combination.
“Are you going to fix Maki or not?”
“What did Maki do?”
“Walked in to my auditions and applauded the first two auditionees.”
“That is unusual.”
“Unusual?” Nico stomped. “It’s rude, it’s problematic, and it gives two freshmen inflated views of their audition.”
“Was it a bad audition.”
“No,” Nico fake punched in the direction of the door, “It was fine, but Nico needs an ensemble leader who is aware of theatrical etiquette.” Nico’s emphasis on the word etiquette snapped Umi out of her Honoka induced laissez-faire attitude. Especially with first year students, proper behavior modeling by teachers was essential.
“I am sorry I did not initially take this as seriously as it deserved, Nico.”
Nico nodded, pleased at the adjustment of Umi's tone.
“I will talk to Maki this afternoon and make sure that she is aware of how auditions and rehearsals are conducted.”
“Make sure you go over tech three times. Nico doesn’t need a rookie who thinks it only takes two hours.”
“I will ensure that Maki performs all of her required duties.”
“Good. Nico is flexible but…”
“There are students involved.”
“Exactly.” That problem solved, Nico smiled at Honoka, “Those look tasty.”
“They are.” Honoka had finished hers, “Nozomi’s going to try them out next week. Kasumi’s a mad scientist with spices and bread dough. It’s fun.”
“She may be busy soon.”
Honoka shrugged, “She’ll probably still come in. Kneading dough works out a lot of stress.”
Umi wanted her private lunch relaxation zone back, “Is there anything else, Nico?”
“Nope, Nico’s good. Sorry to interrupt…”
“Nah, it was good to see you, Nico.” Honoka waved, “Having another speakeasy this Friday. Be sure to come.”
“Nico’s looking forward to it.”
“I’ll let you know how my conversation with Maki goes.”
“Thanks, Umi. See you, Honoka.”
And finally, Umi could relish her lunch treat.
###
Honoka had overstayed her lunch hour and run off to meet a delivery truck. If Umi went to Maki’s studio, she would have no time to practice this afternoon. And today’s rehearsal with Nana had turned into a mostly conversational session, not the duet Umi had planned. No practice time always threw off everything, especially Umi's mood. “Grumpus Contagious” Umi thought as she moved her chair back to its usual spot.
Maybe a carefully worded text to Maki would be a good conversational starter.
U: Nico has expressed some concern that you are lacking an elementary awareness of theatrical etiquette.
Rather than stare at her phone and wait for a reply, Umi would begin her violin warm ups. Perhaps she should be added in more regular vocal practice as well. Kotori seemed very serious about the New York City Christmas Cabaret. Umi had seen glimpses of a dress sketches. It would be an elegant mood.
Phone.
M: I’m fine.
U: Not having any experience with production, you may not be aware of all the quirks involved in staging a show.
M: I’ll read a book.
U: It’s not that simple.
M: I get a schedule, right?
M: You know, I’ll just talk to Nico.
Umi believed that Nico would consider Umi derelict in her duties if after her attempt at educating Maki, the result was that Maki asked Nico 1,000 questions.
U: There will be stage managers. Talk to the production stage manager and have them explain to you how Nico usually works.
M: Production Stage Manager?
U: Nico’s assistant. It’s usually one of the older students. Their job is coping.
M: There must be a book. I’ll look.
U: Directing is difficult, takes time, and Nico does a very good job. Please do not unduly add to her burden.
M: Don’t worry. I got this.
U: I will hold you to that.
M: (^-^)ゝ
Umi nodded. Maki was now aware of the gravity of the situation.
###
This was one of Umi’s favorite classes. An advanced seminar that rotated topics and instructors. Managing An Orchestra was this quarter’s theme. Only half a dozen students: Nana, a sophomore, three juniors, two seniors.
They were discussing Japanese conductors, Hideo Sato and one of his most prominent students, Seiji Ozawa. Umi occasionally wore a white turtleneck under her tuxedo jacket to honor Owaza’s unique style. She had handed out an interview with Owaza from Joshua Jampol’s Living Opera book.
Nana had the floor, “I looked up Hideo Saito, Professor Sonoda, and read that he brought discipline to generally disorganized Japanese orchestras. Is this the first job of the conductor?”
Umi, perched on a stool, considered the question, leaving a space for another student to speak. But it seemed no one else had done supplemental research specifically into Ozawa’s influences. “I think the entire profession has evolved, both in Japan and internationally, and with the rigorous training most professional musicians receive, there is less need to educate them on basic courtesies like preparing for rehearsals.”
Ronna Emem raised a point from the article, “Ozawa quotes Saito and says that “For a conductor, the most important thing is if he can conduct an a cappella chorus. Because every note, every voice is important. Every word is important.” Do you agree, Professor?”
A direct question for Umi to field, “Ozawa says a little later that with the” best vocalists, the voice becomes the best instrument” and I certainly agree with that. For myself, with the violin, I have found much wisdom in Francesco Geminiani’s belief that the violinist’s job was to create “a tone that shall in a manner rival the most perfect human voice.”
“So if you believe all this,” Ronna leaned forward, “why do we spend most of our time conducting instrumental ensembles and not vocal ones?”
Umi blinked. Advanced seminars allowing opportunities for the teacher to learn from the students was why they were her favorite type of class.
“That is a very sound point, Ronna. And one which I believe requires a review of our current conducting curriculum. So what would each of you like to see added?”
###
Umi was still perched on the stool, mulling her students’ suggestions. Her next meeting with Director Minami would be a challenge. She would have to make time to prepare a thorough presentation.
“Did you talk to Maki?”
Her students had left the door open and Nico had bopped in, looking wearier than earlier.
“Are your auditions over? I trust they went well.”
Nico waved a hand, not to be distracted, “Maki?”
“We have agreed that she should not put any extra burdens on you.”
“And she said? You did talk, right?” Nico leaned in the doorway, arms crossed, suspicious.
Umi shook her head, “Text.”
Nico rolled her eyes, “Nico has to do everything.”
“I did suggest she talk to a stage manager.”
Nico’s eyes lit up, “That’s a great idea, Umi. Nico will assign one to babysit her.”
Umi thought that would be best because (^-^)ゝaside, there was no way that Maki was going to initiate a conversation with a student she didn’t know.
“Maybe don’t call it babysitting?” Umi offered hesitantly.
Another dismissive hand wave, “Nico handles more divas than you. Don’t help.”
Umi shrugged. As soon as Nico stopped talking, Umi could go home. So if the conversation continued, it would not be because Umi spoke.
Nico pushed off, “Thanks for the stage manager idea. Let Nico know before you head out for the holidays. Will you be in town for Thanksgiving?”
“I believe so.”
“Stop by for Friendsgiving carolling. The more the merrier. And the less isolated the students who aren’t welcome at home feel.”
Nico was much more involved in the lives of her students than Umi, but productions were a much more intense environment than classes. And Nico, having cared for young siblings from a young age, had mastered a quirky aunt vibe that made some of the most skittish students willing to be chivvied and teased by her. Umi wondered if that pushiness would also charm the reclusive Maki.
“Honoka and I will plan to be there; I’m not sure if Kotori is heading back to New York before then.”
“All are welcome. Spread the word.” Nico blew a kiss, “Thanks, Umi. See you Friday.”
Umi waved, no longer paying attention, thinking once again about how to approach expanding vocal opportunities on campus. Nico would surely relish adding a full scale musical to the performance repertoire.
A/N: Tired, obsessed with Romeo and Juliet (have you watched Romeo X Juliet, they give her a sword and a secret identity), and not going to rush this because I love backstage stories.

Idol Precure Series: A Gratuitous Costume Parade
Because that is literally what this is. An excuse to dress everyone up in cute clothes.
Not complaining, though. The girls look fabulous~
Anyways, y’all aware they were grouped together because of what their civilian identities have in common, right?
Well, that’s how I see it so I typed this up so I can use it for reference later.
Initially, it was just a companion (?) piece to this StarPre prediction post (therefore, the StarPre girls haven’t been included yet so go check out that post until they are) but now I’ll come back to edit/update it again when more new stuff is released or I find better quality pictures.
I also have some ideas for possible new groups if they ever add or mix-and-switch the current ones but that’ll be on another post altogether to avoid confusing myself, ahaha~
Tumblr media
Anata no kokoro o mitoshi-tai (Team “I see through your heart”)
Members: Yukishiro Honoka, Hanasaki Tsubomi, Tsukikage Yuri, Shirabe Ako, Yakushiji Saaya
At a glance, it seems like they put all the smart ones together but it’s really because these girls all wear glasses.
Yep, the meganekko group.
I mean, they are smart but the key point here is clearly the glasses. Which is a tad bit of a shame because I feel like that (moe aspect) takes away from recognizing them for their intelligence first.
On another note, interestingly enough, I believe there’s a play on words with their unit name. If you say it out loud without knowing the context, it really sounds like “I want to look into your heart”. Can someone confirm this? My amateur Japanese isn’t enough to explain it eloquently.
Others who can fit into this group: Hishikawa Rikka
Tumblr media
Bunbu Ranbu (”Martial Dance”)
Members: Myoudouin Itsuki, Aoki Reika, Yotsuba Alice, Hikawa Iona
Martial arts practitioners.
Also, I’m pretty sure Reika knows some kendo along with kyūdō since we’ve seen her wielding a giant ice sword as Cure Beauty multiple times throughout the franchise. We just didn’t see her do it in civilian form. Hmm. :/
Others who can fit into this group: ...
Tumblr media
Eternal Moment
Members: Higashi Setsuna (Eas), Akagi Towa (Twilight)
Former villainesses who turned good and became a main heroine.
I’m so glad they didn’t forget about their evil alter-egos cuz Eas and Twilight (or perhaps just Twilight) can be considered separate characters in their own rights so it’s nice to see them show up in advertisement again every once in a while.
Hmmm, their name though... it looks like this unit might only be intended for two people (”Eternal” for Towa and “Moment” for “Setsuna”).
That is, unless they add onto it like HNMH (see below) if they plan to include more girls into this category. If so, then...
Others who can fit into this group: Kurokawa Ellen, Lulu Amour
Tumblr media
Mystic Diva
Members: Kurokawa Ellen, Kenzaki Makoto
Haresora Concerto (”Clear Sky Concerto”)
Members: Minazuki Karen, Hojo Hibiki
Haresora Concerto with Mystic Diva (collab?)
Additional members: Tategami Aoi
Girls with strong affiliation to music...I think?
We saw Karen playing the violin in Yes!5 Precure’s OP and her parents are famous musicians themselves (just like Hibiki’s) but I can’t recall if she ever played any instrument during any particular episode in Yes! 5 or Gogo(?). Anyways...
Mystic Diva contains those who are renowned singers from another world (I don’t think Ellen sang much after she sorta permanently remained in human form but as Siren, she was one of the top contenders next to Hummy to sing the Melody of Happiness so there’s that).
Haresora Concerto obviously are for those who practice classical instruments.
Finally, the collaboration...is it a collaboration or did they really merge the two units together? If not, then Aoi will still need to be assigned to a group and if we’re going by the above criteria, she doesn’t fit into either one (Mystic Diva isn’t really her style anyway and she’s long given up the violin to play the guitar).
Maybe they’ll come up with another unit specifically focused on the rock genre in the future cuz we have Emiru and Lulu now so that’ll be enough to start one.
Others who can fit into Mystic Diva: Lulu Amour (+ guitar) [??]
Granted, Lulu didn’t sing before she arrived in present day Hugtto but she did say she’s going to bring music back to the future so...why not count that and the future as “another world”, hmm?
Others who can fit into Haresora Concerto: Yotsuba Alice (piano), Haruno Haruka (violin), Akagi Towa (violin), Kaidou Minami (violin) [??]
I don’t really associate Minami with music even though she is skilled at playing the violin. It’s just that compared to Towa and Haruka where the violin played a significant part in their story arcs, Minami and the violin is more secondary (pfft, not even) to her connection with the sea. But then again...Karen is in this group so I dunno :S
Did I forget anyone else who plays a classical instrument? I feel like I’m missing someone...
Others who can join the collab: Everyone listed above + Kasugano Urara (singing), Aisaki Emiru (singing, piano, violin and guitar)
Tumblr media
Haruka Nozomu Mirai no Hana (”Wishing for the Flower of the Far Off Future”)
Members: Yumehara Nozomi, Haruno Haruka, Asahina Mirai, Nono Hana
The dream chasers.
And by far, the unit I find the most aesthetically pleasing. ^^
Also, I feel like some people would try to argue that Mirai “didn’t have a goal and therefore, she doesn’t belong in this group” so as she is my beloved daughter, I need to make them eat the dirt of their WRONGNESS.
Because MahoPre’s epilogue obviously showed her trying to find a way to reunite with Riko and Ha-chan, aka bring their two worlds together again, so that definitely counts as her dream (not to mention, the most ambitious one out of everybody else’s in this group). Furthermore, if you actually watched MahoPre more closely, you would know her dream of the two worlds coming together came to her gradually rather than happening at a particular moment and was solidified after she had to separate from her team after the Big Boss fight in the finale.
And you know what? Her wish was fulfilled in the end so y’all can suck it. :P
Others who can fit into this group: ...
Tumblr media
Home Maid
Members: Kujo Hikari, Minamino Kanade, Madoka Aguri, Omori Yuko, Usami Ichika, Arisugawa Himari
Cooking or maybe, more accurately, sweets enthusiasts? *makes side eye at Aguri*
Well, besides that, they also either helped out at a restaurant or provided a service that had something to do with food (tea ceremony in Aguri’s case).
Hence, the “maid” part, I guess...
...but if so, then this is a poster for a maid cafe, not an idol unit! :P
Others who can fit into this group: Hyuuga Saki (family runs a bakery) [?], Akimoto Komachi (family runs a Japanese confectionery shop) [?], Hino Akane (family runs an okonomiyaki restaurant) [?], Haruno Haruka (family runs a Japanese confectionery restaurant) [?], Kotozume Yukari (learned from her grandmother how to perform tea ceremonies) [?], Kirahoshi Ciel (owns her own sweets restaurant), Nono Hana (grandparents ran a Japanese confectionery shop)
With the exception of Ciel, a lot of “?” cases here because similar to the Karen/Minami in Haresora Concerto, their main interests don’t particularly lie in cuisine and most of them never stated any intention of carrying on their family business. So it’s really up to whether you want them in this unit or not. Personally, I think Home Maid has enough members already so...
Oh and Hana was crossed off the list since she became the president of her own company at the end of Hugtto.
Tumblr media
M.V.P.
Members: Misumi Nagisa, Hyuuga Saki, Natsuki Rin, Hino Akane, Midorikawa Nao
This one’s self-explanatory. Athletes. Sporty types.
Not much else to say.
Others who can fit into this group: Hojo Hibiki, Kagayaki Homare (?)
Yes, while Homare does participate in a sport, singles figure skating is mostly an individual event so the MVP title can’t really be applied to her. I guess that was the reasoning behind why she wasn’t placed in this group even though that’s what she’s most known for.
Tumblr media
Osha-Revolution
Members: Kurumi Erika, Shirayuki Hime, Kagayaki Homare
The fashionistas!
This is my most favorite idol unit name out of all the others not only because it sounds like the most cleverly thought out but also because just hearing the word “revolution” gets the legendary Utena Revolution OP playing in my head again. *jams to the beat*
Thankfully, it’s got no connection to this idol series cuz *GAAASP*......*whispers* no.
Anyways, I’m glad it’s universally agreed upon that Erika and Hime would get along like five runways crisscrossing simultaneously at Fashion Week. Adding Homare to this lineup is appropriate because she’s always being complimented for dressing so stylishly.
Also, having someone as tall as her stand in between Erika and Hime like a giraffe hanging between two Hyacinth Macaws, lol is really...picture perfect.
Others who can fit into this group: ...
Tumblr media
Secret Lives
Members: Mimino Kurumi, Hanami Kotoha, Kirahoshi Ciel
Mascots who can transform and became one of the main heroines in their respective seasons.
I like their aesthetic, too. Even though they give off cute vibes as much as any of the other idol groups, there’s still a “mystery” air about them.
Others who can fit into this group: Kurokawa Ellen (?)
Ermmm...Ellen was a mascot but she wasn’t aligned with the good side in the beginning. And after she became a Cure, she didn’t revert back to cat form again... *shrug*
Tumblr media
Soushi⇄Souai (”Mutual Love with Creativity”)
Members: Mishou Mai, Akimoto Komachi, Hoshizora Miyuki, Kise Yayoi
Those whose strongest weapon is the pen (or brush) in their hand. Or something like that? I was trying to go for something more artful but I guess not. :P
This group’s name gave me a little trouble in translating but I think what I settled for in the end gets the idea across well enough. They love creating so much that they’ll be rewarded in kind with lots of inspiration.
...which sounds a bit unfair for everyone else suffering creative blocks but okay.
Others who can fit into this group: Nono Hana
Tumblr media
Triple Heart
Members: Momozono Love, Aida Mana, Aino Megumi
The love-obsessed.
Not much else to say here either.
Others who can fit into this group: ...
Tumblr media
Up to Me
Members: Aono Miki, Izayoi Riko, Kotozume Yukari
The Ladies.
At least that’s what I like to think them as. “Up to Me” gives off the impression of a very decisive person. Along with how mature they act, these girls fit that description to their own special degrees.
Like, Miki is very focused on her modeling career and confident she’ll go far, Riko has good work ethic and always aims for her goals and Yukari is, well, good at almost everything and is also a very “my pace” kind of woman.
...they all have purple hair, too, so I’m wondering if that’s another prerequisite for being added to this unit.
Others who can fit into this group: Tsukikage Yuri, Kenzaki Makoto (?)
Yuri would fit in no problem but Makoto I’m still teetering back and forth on...
Tumblr media
Urara*Kirara
Members: Kasugano Urara, Amanogawa Kirara
Ra♪Raa♪Raaa♪Raaaa♪Raaaaa♪ Suīto Suīto Puri-Kyu=AH♪
Girls who aspire for the stage (acting and signing for Urara and modeling for Kirara) and have “-rara” in their names.
If that’s the case here, guess this is another unit meant for anyone who fits those limited criteria. Otherwise...
Others who can fit into this group: Aono Miki (modeling), Kenzaki Makoto (singing)
Tumblr media
White Coat Angels
Members: Yamabuki Inori, Hishikawa Rikka, Kaidou Minami, Kenjou Akira
Those with a future in medicine.
But Minami...hmm, well, though it was never clearly stated what her profession was (I don’t think?) when she grew up, she could’ve gone on to become a wildlife veterinarian after she achieved her degree in marine biology so yea, she counts.
Others who can fit into this group: Minazuki Karen, Yakushiji Saaya
Exclusive??
Tumblr media
Kiratto! Open to All
Members: Kira Kira Precure a la Mode
Twin Love
Members: Aisaki Emiru, Lulu Amour
Pretty damn sure the first one was made specially just for KiraPre. No other girls sport blatant animal imagery on them. Plus, there’s no point in including anymore members than how many this group already has.
As for Twin Love, it’s a canon idol pair unit in Hugtto. Adding anyone else in it would not make it “Twin” Love anymore.
So that leaves the question of where Emiru and Lulu will go in the next series, I guess. Though I’m sure they’ll stick together wherever they’re assigned.
Side B
Tumblr media
Royal Road
Members: Kokoda Koji (Coco), Natts, Ouji Masamune, Prince Kanata
Fairy Five
Members: Amai Shiro (Syrup), Pop, Raquel, Lance, Aroma
Did anyone else think that “Side B” also stood for “Side Boys” before Dark Party was released? (And yes, I know what a B-side track is so you don’t have to tell me)
Anyways, Royal Road is obviously for the prince characters (though I don’t think they really needed to add Ouji-senpai since he’s just a minor recurring character, not supporting but whatever) and Fairy Five is for the younger male mascots who can transform.
Others who can fit into Royal Road: Prince Zeke, Wakamiya Henri, Aisaki Masato (?)
If Dark Dream can join an idol unit despite being a movie-only character, then I don’t see why they can’t integrate Prince Zeke into this unit as well. All that matters is how popular or memorable he was in HaCha’s movie because everyone who was picked out for Side B had to have had an impact on the audience one way or another. But at least Zeke makes more sense than Ouji-senpai.
Henri needs no explanation as he is the “Prince of the Ice” but if you want a prince to accompany his occasional “princess” role, including Masato wouldn’t be a bad idea. Though I still think Masato’s more of a knight than a prince.
Others who can fit into Fairy Five: Kuroro (?)
Granted, Kuroro only got a human form by combining powers with Lock in the final battle of Go!Pri and hasn’t technically earned it yet since he only begun fairy training when the season ended...but if he can, why not?
Tumblr media
The Enemy Boys
Members: Irisawa Kiriya, Luntarou (Wolfrun), Kurosu (Close), Rio (Julio/Pikario)
Off-White
Members: Soular, Westar, Phantom, Shut
“The Enemy Boys” ...more like “School Infiltrators” since they were the few among villains to pose as students in order to get closer to the Cures.
Off-White consists of bishounen villains who eventually came around to understanding and siding with the good side. Which explains the “off white” part, I guess, since it wasn’t an immediate reform for them but a more gradual one that needed a lot of persuasion and thinking.
Others who can fit into The Enemy Boys: ...
Others who can fit into Off-White: Charaleet
Tumblr media
Precure Legendary Heroes
Members: Cure Fire (Ban Kenji), Cure Sebastian (Sebastian)
Dark Party
Members: Dark Dream, Dark Precure, Regina, Bibury Vibry
Legendary Heroes is clearly a parody of the Precure franchise itself but since we already grew out of those jokes thanks to Hugtto, I’m hoping I won’t see any updates for this group ever again. And I will be absolutely livid if they dare to put Cure Infini in this unit because that is not funny.
Dark Party needs no extensive explanation as they were former nemesis/rivals to the Cures who never really got a “good” form even after their Heel-Face Turn (Dark Precure didn’t even get one of these). Which is fine because that’s essentially their charm. What makes dark magical girls so appealing is how awesome they are even when they’re “evil”.
Also gotta love the gothic lolita clothes that a number of them usually wear. If they didn’t keep Side B separate from Side A, I totally would’ve liked to put Eas and Twilight in this group as well.
Others who can fit into Dark Party: ...
List of updates under the cut...

Idk if you’ve done them already but Yukiho x Alisa headcannons pls? (Honk sister x Eli sister)
Ah, I’ve never actually made a post or answered an ask dedicated to Yukiho and Alisa. Wow, time to rectify that! I love this ship so much, it’s so underappreciated.
Alisa insisted that Yukiho be her tutor for Japanese, she was already teaching her through their normal time together, but Alisa begged and pleaded, even offering her money for it. Yukiho, while tempted, turned it down and started as her tutor for free. In the end, it was really just an excuse for Alisa to see her more. But she had Yukiho fooled for a good few months before she came out and admitted it.
Alisa tends to ask Nozomi for advice on their relationship, given she’s her sister’s girlfriend and all. It doesn’t usually end well...
Yukiho’s dad is a big supporter of their relationship, he treats Alisa like a daughter in law already.
Yukiho is really clingy when she’s annoyed. If something is bugging her, whether it be Honoka’s shenanigans or struggling with schoolwork, she’ll cling to Alisa and complain about it. Alisa usually makes her feel better by cuddling her and kissing her. Yukiho really struggles to be unhappy when Alisa is drowning her in affection like that.
Surprisingly, they didn’t actually meet at school or through their sisters. They met at the bakery. Yukiho was working there and Alisa went in to order something, she really struggled at first, as she had only recently came to the country, so her Japanese wasn’t very good. Yukiho found it really cute and helped her through it. They later met again at school, Alisa immediately gravitating toward Yukiho as she was the only person she knew. From then on, they found out their sisters were friends and went from friends, to best friends, to girlfriends.

Freshly Baked With Love
Well, I wrote NicoNozo, so it was only a matter of time before Maki got her chance to kiss someone other than Nico. Some HonoMaki for all the people out there who like that, because @hikarihawkeye likes it.
Words: ~3500
Summary: Honoka's birthday is coming up, and Maki has a special idea for what to give her as a gift.
Ao3 link
Maki wasn’t sure what was the worst part of this situation. The fact that she was covered in batter was certainly a strong contender, but the look Nico was giving her was a strong runner up.
“Maki…” Nico said, her voice part way between patronizing and exasperated. “Have you seriously never used a mixer before?”
Maki looked away silently.
“Seriously, Maki?!”
“It never came up!” Maki protested. “I-I told you, it’s not like I do the cooking at my house!”
Nico sighed in an exaggerated long suffering way that made Maki really want to punch her in her stupid smug face.
“Well, I guess that’s another thing I have to teach poor sheltered little Maki how to do~” she cooed, casually dumping out the remains of the dough and wiping the mixer’s beaters down with a damp cloth.
“Alright, let’s start from the top again. You do remember how to whisk, right?” Nico paused, looking Maki up and down and seeing where the rest of the dough had gone. “Actually, go wash up first.”
It had all started with an offhand comment.
Honoka’s birthday was coming up, and μ’s, naturally, had been talking about gifts.
“The wonderful and generous Nico Ni will, of course, get her the most perfect possible present,” Nico said, preening.
“What’s that?” Nozomi asked.
“A signed picture of Nico in a cute pose, and a custom ‘good morning’ voice line for her phone alarm!” Nico said proudly.
“Vetoed,” Umi said flatly, crossing her arms.
Nico scowled at her.
“Oh, is that a kind of character merchandise?” Nozomi asked innocently. “Like how you can get the mascot of some train stations to sign your ticket?”
“It’s irrelevant what it is, because what it isn’t is a good gift,” Umi said, cutting off Nico’s indignant squawk. “Does anyone have any real ideas?”
“We could get her a big hat, nya!” Rin suggested enthusiastically.
“Why a hat?” Eli asked as Umi sighed.
“Well, I have a hat, and Maki has a hat, and Kotori has a hat, but I’ve never seen Honoka wear a hat except on stage,” Rin said.
“...Does she even want a hat?” Eli asked, and Rin shrugged.
“Everyone likes hats,” she insisted.
“Oh, just get her some bread or something,” Nico said. “The stupendous super idol Nico Ni is a master baker as well a master idol, so of course she could make something that would impress even someone who lived in a bakery!”
“How about a new scrunchie?” Kotori suggested, ignoring Nico’s bragging.
They argued back and forth for a while, but one of the ideas stuck with Maki. No matter how much she tried to think of other gifts, her mind was drawn back to that one idea.
“You want me to what?” Nico asked incredulously, when Maki came up to her after practice.
“Shh! Keep your voice down!” Maki hissed, flushing a little and glancing over to make sure Honoka hadn’t taken an interest in their chat. “I-I thought it would be nice to bake some bread for Honoka for her birthday, and you’re always running your mouth off about how talented you are… what? Why are you looking at me like that?”
Nico’s confused expression had morphed into a horrible smirk, twisting her face into an expression of glee tempered with malice. “Ohhhhhh. I see,” she said. “Well, don’t worry. I’ll teach you, Maki.”
Maki blinked. She’d expected more resistance, and had a bunch of candy ready to bribe Nico with. “Really?” she asked, suspiciously.
“Of course!” Nico said, shrugging casually. “The great Nico Ni is always an ally to maidens in love.”
Maki turned bright red. “Nico!” she hissed, glancing desperately over at Honoka again, who thankfully was still busy talking with Kotori.
Nico laughed. “Come over to my house on Sunday,” she said. “Make sure you bring the right ingredients, I’ll text you a list tonight.”
“Okay,” Maki said. Taking a deep breath, she added. “...Thank you, Nico.”
Nico gasped in fake surprise. “Maki? Thanking me?” she threw a hand over her forehead. “I may faint from the shock.”
Leaning forward, she put her hands over her chest in a heart shape. “You’re~ welcome~ Maki~” she cooed, moving her hands like a heartbeat as she did.
“Ugh, maybe I’d thank you more if you weren’t so gross about it,” Maki said, scowling. It was a constant source of disbelief that Nico could manage to be this annoying this frequently. And she’d just signed herself up to spend Sunday with her. Maybe this wasn’t a good idea after all…
“Okay, let’s try this again,” Nico said, not bothering to hide her exasperation. “So step one is…”
“Add the milk, yeast, and sugar,” Maki repeated, sullenly.
They were more than an hour in now. So far, it wasn’t going very well. Despite Nico insisting this was a simple recipe, things kept going wrong.
“And then..?” Nico prompted.
“Whisk it and leave it to stand for five minutes.”
“Okay, you’re right so far,” Nico said, rubbing her temple. “Now, did you figure out how to crack the egg without getting shell in the bowl?”
“Yes,” Maki said.
Nico gave her a look.
“...Mostly,” Maki admitted. “But I managed it for these eggs.” So what if it had taken her five tries? She did it eventually. It was weirder that Nico just assumed that people could do it the first try.
“Alright,” Nico said. “Do you think you can handle the mixer this time?”
“I’m not stupid, Nico,” Maki snapped and Nico rolled her eyes.
“Maki, you might do well on tests, but you are incredibly stupid when it comes to this,” she said, crossing her arms. “Nico is just lucky she was wearing an apron, or you would have ruined her cardigan by now.”
“Just because I don’t know how to use-”
“Maki, when I told you to add two eggs the first time you just dropped them into the bowl.”
“You didn’t say anything about the inside part of an egg!”
Nico rolled her eyes again. “I know that not everyone can be as overwhelmingly talented, beautiful, an-”
“Look, I can handle it, okay?” Maki insisted, clumsily slotting the bowl back into the mixture. Taking a deep breath, she reached out to turn on the mixer.
“See, now I just-”
“DON’T!” Nico said, her arm shooting out to grab Maki’s hand.
“What?!” Maki asked, jerking her arm away.
Nico glared at her. “You were about to hit the turbo button, Maki. Use the lower speed setting.”
“...Oh. That… isn’t just the go button?” Maki asked.
“No, Maki,” Nico said.
“I knew that,” Maki said, defensively. “I just thought we’d finish faster.”
“Trust me, Maki, you pressing the turbo button again will not make this end any faster.”
Maki frowned. So what if she’d pressed it by accident before? It was the big green button on the front, why wouldn’t it be the thing you pressed to make it go?
Under Nico’s watchful eye, she reached out and pressed the button marked “one”.
Maki wasn’t sure when she’d first fallen for Honoka.
It wasn’t when she first met her, that was for sure. Honoka was a pest, trying to rope her into her whole “school idol” foolishness. Okay, maybe her enthusiasm was a little endearing, and maybe Maki kind of liked how energetic she was. But still, she’d tried to avoid her at first, and definitely hadn’t wanted to get caught up with her.
It wasn’t when she first started coming around to μ’s, either. Sure, she’d written them a song, but it wasn’t as if she was mooning over Honoka just yet. She just kind of liked their group, and Umi’s lyrics had inspired her a little.
It might have been when she joined μ’s.
Truthfully, a part of her had already accepted giving up her musical career. Being a doctor was what was most important, after all. Playing piano was always secondary. She’d known that her whole life. Maybe she’d held a part of herself back from caring too much about it. Honoka broke down all her barriers and insisted that she could care about music, about being an idol, and, truthfully… Maki believed her. She really had felt like she could let something other than being a doctor be important to her.
Maybe that was when she’d fallen in love. Or maybe it had been when they’d spent the night at her beach house. Or when Honoka had ended up spraining her leg, and Maki realized how much Honoka hurting hurt Maki as well. Or when she refused to go along with Nico’s plan to continue without Honoka, insisting that she was vital to the group.
Whenever it had happened, it had happened. Maki was head over heels for their leader. She’d hoped to keep it a secret until she got up the courage to confess, but of course that wasn’t possible in a group that contained someone as irritatingly perceptive as Nozomi and someone as infuriatingly talented at making her life unpleasant as Nico. Nozomi, she suspected, had known for a while, but whether Nico had only figured out when Maki asked for her help was anyone’s guess. It seemed likely that it was recent, though- Maki couldn’t imagine Nico not rubbing something like that in her face at the first opportunity.
But it was still worth it if Honoka liked her gift.
“Maki, don’t touch the dough,” Nico said, not looking up from her idol magazine.
Maki glared at Nico. “I-I wasn’t going to!” she insisted, twirling her hair. “I just wanted to-”
“Don’t touch it. I’ll tell you when it’s ready.”
“Hrmph,” Maki muttered, flopping down in her chair and crossing her arms. Did the dough really need to sit there for an entire hour? Surely that couldn’t be right. It just needed to expand a little, right? If she could check to see if it had gotten bigger, Nico would have to admit it was fi-
“Don’t touch the dough, Maki.”
When Maki first realized she was in love, her first instinct had been not to realize it. Much like the frequently quoted Ross and Kessler stages of grief, Maki’s stages of love had started with denial.
“You’re not love in love with Honoka,” she’d insisted to herself. “You just admire her determination. And passion. And cuteness. And the way her face lights up when someone agrees to do something, like you just gave her a huge present, and-”
It didn’t work very well, but Maki kept it up stubbornly, determined to ignore the obvious for as long as possible.
The breaking point came when μ’s met up on a day off.
Since they weren’t planning on doing practice, and they weren’t at school, they were all in casual clothes. Maki had managed to convince herself that she was dressing up nicely because she wanted to show the rest of μ’s how stylish she was, and that was the only reason. She did not specifically want to impress Honoka, because why would she care if Honoka thought she looked cute? It wasn’t like she’d be happy if Honoka said something.
When she showed up, somehow, Honoka was the only one there.
“Honoka?”
“Hi Maki! Ooh, you look so good in casual clothes!” Honoka said, eagerly rushing over to dart around Maki, checking out different angles. Maki flushed red. For entirely platonic reasons, she reminded herself.
“Thanks,” she managed, stiffly. “You’re the first one here?”
That was unusual. It wasn’t so much that Honoka was always late to things, although she could be, but she was rarely the first to arrive.
Honoka laughed awkwardly. “I kind of… got a little excited and came here half an hour early,” she admitted. “I wanted to show everyone my new outfit!”
Honoka spread her arms wide to show the outfit off. It was… a lot more daring than Honoka’s usual outfits. It caught Maki off guard, who’d been expecting another t-shirt and maybe some shorts. Instead, Honoka was wearing a flowing yellow skirt and a blue blouse with a very adventurous neckline.
Maki turned even redder. “It looks good,” she said, trying not to stare and failing. She was just surprised, was all. It was unexpected for Honoka to try a look like this, so she was staring in shock. That was it.
“Really?” Honoka asked, excited. “I wasn’t sure about something like this, but if Maki thinks it looks good, then it must look good!”
She grinned, looking for all the world like she’d just won a beauty pageant.
Maki was mesmerized by her, and a return smile came unbidden to her face.
She was only smiling because- it wasn’t that- she just- Honoka’s cuteness was- it was just that- the thing was that-
Maki suppressed the urge to make a terrible noise and bury her head in her hands. It was no good. Honoka was too cute already. If she was going to be hot, too, then how could Maki possibly not fall in love with her?
That was when Maki finally admitted to herself what had been true for a while.
It had taken a lot of tries, but finally, Nico had declared that Maki’s dough was “adequate” and allowed her to put it in the oven. That is, after correcting the dial to the right temperature and assuring that Maki that, no, turning up the oven twice as high didn’t mean it would cook twice as fast.
Maki watched the oven the entire time.
Nico had laughed at her for doing it, and set a timer before going back to her magazine, but Maki didn’t care. So what if this was all routine for Nico? For Maki, this was her first time making bread, and she wanted to watch it rise.
She did start to get a little bored after fifteen minutes, but at that point, backing down would just meant that Nico had won, and there was no way that Maki would let her have the satisfaction. So she resolutely stared through the glass window on the oven door, watching the dough slowly expand and the bread turn brown until the timer finally rang.
“You actually watched it the entire time?” Nico asked, incredulously. “You know, if you really need something to do on your Sundays, Nico Ni could lend you a DVD of one of her performances.”
“I’d much rather watch the bread rise again,” Maki said flatly. “Or paint dry.”
Nico scowled.
“Fine,” she muttered, turning off the oven and getting a pair of oven mitts from a drawer and throwing them at Maki. “Take it out before it burns and leave it to cool on that rack.”
Maki glanced down at the package in her arms for the tenth time since she’d left Nico’s house. She almost hugged it close, but restrained herself. Nico had warned her that the bread shouldn’t be crushed or it would lose its shape.
She’d really done it. She’d made bread.
Alright, so it wasn’t exactly all on her own, given how much Nico had held her hand through the whole process (although not literally, thank god, Maki thought, wrinkling her nose in displeasure at the notion) but Nico hadn’t actually done any of it. Even if she’d been very tightly guided, Maki had been the one who did all the actual baking. And she was now holding a loaf which Nico described as “less hopelessly inept than I expected”.
It didn’t look quite as good as the bread she’d seen in stores, but Nico assured her that the taste would probably be fine. “With the great Nico Ni’s recipe and expert guidance, even a total amateur like Maki can make delicious bread to awkwardly try to flirt!”
Maki frowned at the memory. She wasn’t awkwardly flirting. Just because she was in love with Honoka didn’t mean everything she did was flirting. She just wanted to give Honoka a nice birthday gift. Wasn’t that normal? Wasn’t it totally innocent to want the person you loved to be happy on their birthday? It didn’t have to be flirting!
It wasn’t as if she had the courage to confess anyway.
Maki frown deepened.
“Happy birthday Honoka!”
Honoka stared wide eyed at the banners set up and the other members of μ’s gathered around in the small room. She didn’t seem to notice that one of the tiny streamers from the popper that Nozomi had pulled was stuck in her hair.
“Guys…” she said, her eyes welling up with tears.
“Come on, Honoka. We got you a cake,” Umi said. She’d been the one to lead Honoka to her surprise party, and now she steered her over to the table where the cake sat, complete with candles.
Maki was nervous. To put it lightly. She tried to focus on how cute Honoka was as she blew out the candles and eagerly made a silent wish. She tried to focus on the slice of cake that Eli passed her. She tried to focus on how much she wanted to kill Nico every time the supposedly older girl looked over and her and smirked.
It didn’t work. Nothing could take her mind off the package she was holding.
Surely Honoka would like it, right? She loved bread. But she’d had so much bread, surely she could tell at a glance how good bread was, right? What if it insulted her refined bread palate?
Maki shook her head, trying to stop being stupid. NIco snorted as she tried to hold back a laugh.
“Is something wrong, Nico?” Kotori asked.
“N-Nothing,” Nico managed, tears in her eyes and a grin on her face.
She glanced momentarily over to Nozomi. Nozomi didn’t react in any… overtly suspicious way, but Maki still got the alarming feeling a signal had been communicated.
“Well then!” she said, clapping her hands together. “Let’s all get our gifts for Honoka and come back in five minutes. You’ll keep Honoka company, right Maki? You can give her your gift first, since you already have it with you.”
Maki suddenly realized that, in fact, no one else had their gift with them. Her eyes darted over to Nozomi, who winked at her as she sheparded everyone else out.
“Good luck~” Nico said in a voice that was way too loud to be a real whisper.
Maki glared at her as she turned on her heel and sauntered out smugly.
“You got me a present?” Honoka asked, excitedly coming up to Maki and invading her personal space in the way she always seemed to exactly when Maki would be most flustered by it.
“Y-Yeah,” Maki said, thrusting her gift out into Honoka’s waiting hands.
Honoka admired the wrapping for a moment before pulling it open.
“It’s… a loaf of bread I baked for you,” Maki said, feeling stupider by the second. What kind of gift was that, anyway? She could have gotten Honoka a nice necklace, or a cute top, or some kind of accessory, or a book or something, and she’d gotten her badly made bread?
Honoka set the bread down on the table and then suddenly leapt at Maki, clinging to her tightly in a hug that Maki was too stunned to try and struggle out of.
“You really baked bread? For me?” Honoka asked. Her mouth was close to Maki’s ear, and the feeling of her breath made Maki flush red as it tickled her ear.
“You really… like it?” Maki asked hesitantly.
Honoka squeezed her harder, and Maki’s heart sped up. Honoka was pressed so close against her.
“I love it,” she said quietly. “Maki, you’re always so…”
Honoka paused for a second, struggling to find the word.
“You’re so different, and cool, and talented and smart,” she mumbled, sounding a little embarrassed. “I didn’t really ever think… you’d do something this personal. That you’d try to be involved in one of my interests.”
Maki’s heart thudded in her chest.
“It… means a lot to me, Maki,” Honoka said, pulling back a little to stare into Maki’s eyes. “You mean a lot to me.”
Maki could only stare back helplessly, as Honoka’s face drew closer and closer, until-
There was a thud outside the door.
“Umi!” Maki heard Kotori hiss. “You can’t!”
“I’m going to stop her f-”
There was another loud noise and the door crashed open, as Umi fell through the doorway with Kotori desperately clinging to her waist, followed by the rest of μ’s, who tumbled into a heap on the floor.
Maki and Honoka sprang apart like the other had caught fire.
“Oh, hi Maki. We, uh, were just getting back,” Nico lied (badly) from underneath Nozomi. “How’d Honoka like your gift?
Maki was about to tell Nico something entirely different, largely relating to what she could go do to herself and what length of pier she should take a long walk off, when Honoka replied instead.
“I liked it this much!” she said suddenly, and quickly leaned over and kissed Maki on the cheek.
Maki flushed red and froze in place as Umi turned a similar shade and started spluttering in disbelief.
Maki held her hand up to her cheek, dumbfounded.
Maybe she should start baking more often.

Final Chapter
Note: I’m really sorry I never got around to finish it, so I’m finally posting the rest of what I’ve written. It would have been the first part of the next chapter, which coincidentally would have also been the last chapter plot-wise. I might have thrown in some other twist if I wanted to go longer, but I think it’s also nice to conclude on a calmer note. With that being said, I hope you enjoy the last bit of this AU. It’s been an honor to write for you guys because you gave me so much back, not just kind asks but also fanart and funny headcanons.
Summary: Nozomi thinks she can finally get used to her new school.
Words: ~4300
“Have you seen Honoka?” Kotori asked after taking her seat at the lunch table, looking around for her missing friends. “She stormed out of the classroom the second the bell rang.”
“Some bakery nearby is selling some limited edition bread,” Nico answered distractedly as she struggled to eat her lobster without using her fingers. Nozomi watched her in suspense, ducking in time when a severed lobster leg came flying her way. “Whoops, sorry.”
Kotori carefully scooted her chair away from Nico. “Will she be back in time for class?”
“Who cares,” Nico grumbled, immersed in her task of eating her seafood without dirtying herself, “I’d take any reason to miss class. Like Hanayo. Calling in sick because she’s traveling halfway across the world just to see a concert, can you believe that? And she asked Rin to tag along instead of me even though Rin doesn’t even know the band!”
“Well, did you give Hanayo any hints that you would be interested in going with her?”
Nico paused in her movements. “No.”
Nozomi and Kotori shared an amused look. “Maybe you need to communicate your feelings to get them across as most people are not mind readers.”
“Blergh,” Nico let out in disgust, sticking out a tongue. “I communicate just fine.”
“I beg to differ,” a voice behind her spoke up.
Kotori, Nozomi and Nico turned their heads to the person who sat down at their table without waiting for an invite. “What? Don’t you agree?”
“Maki,” Kotori greeted with a nod, the first one to recover from her surprise. “I do think that Nico could sometimes express herself better. But are you really in a position to point that out? Something about throwing rocks within a glasshouse?”
Maki ran a hand through her hair to mask her tension, giving Kotori a stiff smile. “Ah you know me, never minded a little self-destruction.”
“That I already knew. But hey, self-awareness is the first healing step,” Nico said with a snort. She eyed Maki with a mixed expression. “Not that I want you gone or anything, but why are you sitting here?”
“Hm?” Maki stole a calamari ring off Nico’s plate and dipped it in a sauce that was on Nozomi’s plate. “What, am I not allowed to sit wherever I want? Besides, Eli and Umi were talking about boring business stuff.”
When Maki reached for another calamari, Nico slapped her hand away. “First of all, mine. Second of all, what’s the real reason?”
“Saw you wrestling with that lobster. And while you’re getting beat by dead seafood, your perfectly fine calamari rings are getting cold and I really can’t stand for that.”
As if on cue, Maki lifted her left hand and snapped with her fingers in front of Nico’s face to distract her long enough to extract a few more calamari rings with her right hand. Bevor Nico could let out an indignant shout, Maki’s mouth was already filled with her stolen food.
“Oh my god, you’re so disgusting,” Nico groaned.
“Thank you, I’m trying to fit in with you,” Maki said, her full mouth still chewing.
“Wow, aren’t we charming today,” Nico sighed, rolling her eyes. “Just spill it already. Why are you here?”
“Is it so hard to believe that sometimes I feel like socializing?” Maki asked after forcefully swallowing her food down.
She was met with silence and blank looks.
“Yeah, I also wonder how I managed to say that without choking,” Maki muttered with a grimace. “Fine. I’m here because I want to be here. Happy?”
“Not until I earn my first music award, but that’s another question for that matter.” Nico turned to Kotori and Nozomi. “Question: Why is she here? Please discuss.”
“Really?” Maki raised an eyebrow. “You’re making a talk show out of this now?”
“The audience is not permitted to participate,” Nico cut her off. “Nozomi, your opinion?”
Maki waved her hand in front of Nico’s face. “Hello, I’m right here?”
“Nozomi,” Nico repeated in a louder voice, ignoring Maki entirely.
“Um,” Nozomi wanted to laugh over Nico’s and Maki’s serious and incredulous expression, respectively. “Well, if she’s feeling excluded from the business talks, then it’s understandable she would search for attention from somewhere else...”
“Hm, does sound reasonable…we’ll keep that in mind.”
“Reasonable your ass!”
“Kotori, your opinion?”
“Kotori, come on, I know you’re better than this,” Maki said in an almost pleading voice.
Kotori let out a thoughtful hum before a grin appeared on her face. “Isn’t it obvious? She’s here for one reason only.” And she directed her growing smile at Nico, who blinked cluelessly for a few times before slowly turning to Maki with a wide opened mouth.
Maki uncomfortably avoided Nico’s questioning gaze. “Like I said, calamari rings were getting cold.”
“Are you sure?” Nico asked in a half-serious, half-teasing manner. “Only here for the food on my plate?”
Clearing her throat and still avoiding knowing glances from three smug people, Maki added curtly, “And perhaps unfortunately also for the person incapable of finishing the food on the plate.”
“Wow. That’s the most roundabout way someone’s ever talked about me.” Nico tilted her head. “I’m not sure if I should be pleased or annoyed…it feels like I always have to make that decision every two seconds when I’m with you.”
“Well, I would have suggested a coin toss if you’re so obsessed with it, but I’m too rich to carry any loose change on me.”
“And now I’m annoyed.”
“See, decision made. Always a pleasure to help.” And Maki mockingly imitated a polite bow.
“So,” Kotori decided to interfere when she saw Nico’s hand grabbing her knife a little too tightly, “I’m so glad Maki decided to join us. Makes everything livelier.”
“Are you certain? Because I’m pretty sure someone’s going to die…” Nico growled.
“Well, seeing that my next class is math, I sure hope it’s me,” Maki said, rubbing her eyes.
“I can help you with that-“
“Stop it!”
Startled, everyone at the table looked to Kotori, who looked just as surprised about her own outburst. But as seconds passed by, she remembered what had made her exclaim in frustration in the first place.
“Nico, put the knife down. Nozomi, take all cutlery out of her vicinity. And Maki…” Kotori’s voice softened. “When were you going to tell me that you’ve taken a sudden liking to seafood?”
Maki stiffened. Her eyes were fixated on a point in front of her. Finally, after seconds of no reaction at all, she threw up her hands. “Fine. Yes, I sat down here because of Nico. She thought I didn’t want to be seen with her in public and I should feel pissed that she thinks that I care about that at all, but I get it. I’m not easy to read and if someone ever figures me out, I’d like the first copy of that manual, please and thank you.”
She released a long sigh and tiredly gazed at Nico. “So here I am. Trying to do…well, something. I’m not sure exactly what but it’s better than nothing, right?”
Maki helplessly shrugged, keeping her eyes focused on the table to avoid Nico’s softening gaze.
“Now was that so hard to admit?” Kotori gently asked.
“Terrifyingly so.” Maki’s fingers nervously tapped on the table. “How do you guys do this scary crap? Sharing feelings and stuff. What a suicide mission.”
“It’s called trust,” Kotori answered quietly. She gave Maki a soft smile. “You trust the other person not to use your feelings against you.”
Upon seeing Maki’s skeptical grimace, Nico added, “Or in your case, you trust the other person not to use your secrets against you.”
Leaning back, Maki observed the other three sitting at the table. “And how do I know when to trust someone?”
She looked into a round of solemn faces until Kotori softly replied, “You don’t. You’ll just have to take their word for it and hope they meant it.”
Maki scoffed through her teeth. “Tch. And that’s how you get hurt.” By Umi, she almost added but bit her own tongue. She was blunt, not cruel. She knew that Kotori had been talking about her own situation when she had answered.
“Maybe,” Kotori admitted with a weak smile, “but isn’t it lonely when you never share anything with anyone?”
“How does that make me lonely?” Maki asked, incredulous.
“Because no one will know a thing about you,” Nico answered instead, sober eyes searching for Maki’s. “You’ll just be that one rich brat with trust issues, but guess what, this school’s full of them, so you’ll be quickly forgotten. If it weren’t for your last name, you’d blend right in with no personality of your own. Because you never share anything about you. So no one will ever know anything about you.”
Maki’s expression contorted into a scowl. “And shouting all my secrets out to the world will make it better? Have you ever thought that maybe not knowing a damn thing about me is better than knowing all the garbage about me?”
“I know all your garbage and I’m still here,” Nico countered without hesitation. “So are Nozomi and Kotori.”
Falling silent, Maki lowered her gaze. She leaned back in her seat and crossed her arms.
“Do you think we don’t have any baggage of our own? We have loads of them and we’d be crushed by them if we had to shoulder that alone.” Nico turned to Nozomi and Kotori with a smile. “That’s why we need friends.” She looked at Maki again with a more serious expression. “That’s why you need to accept that we’re your friends. The kind that doesn’t care about your money or your name. The kind that you can trust.”
Maki uncrossed her arms, running a hand through her hair. She sighed. “I guess I could’ve ended up with worse.” She mustered up a lop-sided smile. “But then again, the only friendships I can compare this to is with Eli and Umi, and they’re not really setting high standards.”
“They don’t even trust themselves.” Nico chuckled without humor. “You can’t help them until they figure out who they want to be.”
“Well,” Maki’s smirk faded, “to their defense, that’s not exactly an easy thing to figure out on your own. I would know.”
“And how did you figure it out?”
Maki closed her mouth, eyes flickering to Nico, Nozomi and Kotori before they settled back on Nozomi. “When Tojo said she wanted to be my friend.”
Nozomi’s eyes widened and her cheeks turned red when she felt all eyes on her. “Why?”
“Because you said it so naturally,” Maki said with a frown. “You said it like being my friend was something you honestly wanted. Like I was someone that people would want to be friends with. And at first I thought you were crazy. Like, it really made me want to laugh that someone would suggest that.”
Before hurt could sneak onto Nozomi’s expression, Maki quickly continued, “But it wasn’t that. I think I was just…” A grimace appeared on her face as if saying the next few words gave her physical pain. “I guess I was happy. And that’s how I figured it out. I wanted to be someone that people would actually want to be around with. For more than just the money and name.”
Nozomi shared a quick glance with Kotori and Nico, and the latter one smiled gratefully.
“I’m glad I could help you.”
“Yeah,” Maki breathed out, one corner of her mouth curling up. “You proved to me that there are actually people who help because they care about the person. I really didn’t believe it before.”
Nozomi’s smile was tinged with sadness. She wanted to reply with ‘I’m sorry no one helped you believe it earlier’, but she swallowed her words.
“You’ve got to share some of that special power of yours with us, Nozomi,” Nico said jokingly. “We’d be unstoppable.”
Kotori smiled at Nozomi. “Something tells me she already is an unstoppable force all on her own.”
And Nozomi ducked her head with an embarrassed smile. How she wished that this was true.
Nozomi didn’t understand why she was nervous. It was just a door she had to open, just a door that she had frequently opened in the past month and even back then, when she had been afraid of the person waiting on the other side of the door, hadn’t she been as nervous as now.
“Ah, Miss Tojo,” and Nozomi flinched in shock. She turned around and stumbled a step back when she found herself staring up at Principal Minami’s kind face.
“Director!” Nozomi stuttered, her nervousness rising.
“I was wondering when you were going to open that door,” the principal said with a chuckle, nodding to the door to the student council room. “Judging from your hesitation to enter, I assume you don’t want to continue being in the student council –  but I could be wrong of course.”
“Actually,” Nozomi began quietly, “I do want to keep my position as the vice president.”
To Nozomi’s slight annoyance, the older woman didn’t look surprised at all at her answer, merely smiling back with a knowing grin. “Then I’m glad I assumed wrong. I believe Miss Ayase is already informed of that decision?”
Nozomi nodded.
“Then what are you waiting for? Let’s head inside,” the principal said and opened the door, entering the room first. Nozomi followed her, seeing Eli quickly stand up and bow in respect for Principal Minami.
“Excuse me for intruding,” Minami said with a nod, “as you know, Miss Ayase, our latest vice president has been with us for a month now. I only came to ask if that is an arrangement you both want to keep.”
Eli briefly glanced at Nozomi, who mustered up a nervous smile. Then she turned to the principal. “I’m sorry, Director, but I can’t accept this arrangement. Tojo is not suited to be the vice president.”
Both Nozomi and the principal were silenced in shock. Nozomi felt her heart constricting as she stared with wide eyes at Eli, wondering what was going on inside of that head. How could she reject her in front of Director Minami when they had already talked about keeping the arrangement? Why did Eli try to shut her out again when Eli had been the one to ask Nozomi if she would come back?
“Oh,” Minami slowly said, scanning Eli’s hard expression. “Are you sure? Maybe if you give Miss Tojo an explanation on what she could have done better, she could work on improving them.”
Eli’s jaw tensed. “It’s not her fault. I simply don’t think she should be in the student council.”
“Why?” Nozomi blurted out in anger, not caring if she seemed inelegant or emotional in front of the principal. “You wanted me to come back, didn’t you? Why are you doing this now, why are you pushing me away again?”
“Tojo,” Eli muttered through gritted teeth, glancing at the principal, “not now.”
“I do believe that there is no better time than now,” Minami said, walking towards the door. “I will leave you two to talk it out. By the end of the week, I want a definite answer.” Before she pulled the door shut, she concluded with a smile, “And I won’t accept an answer that is not a hundred percent genuine.”
The door was shut and left the two third years in silence.
“Why…” Nozomi weakly muttered. She was tired, so tired of always being the only one who made an effort to get through to the other person. And each time she thought she had gotten somewhere, Eli would move further out of reach.
Eli’s hard mask crumbled. Her features softened, showing the strained look in her eyes. “When I asked you to come back, I was only thinking of myself. Only thinking about what I wanted.”
“But I agreed, don’t you remember? Because I wanted to come back too,” Nozomi replied in exasperation. “Please, don’t lie to me anymore, Eli. I need the truth.”
Eli clenched her fists. “As…as you probably know by now, I’m not the most popular person around here. I used to blame it on my last name but the truth is, I’ve made a lot of enemies myself. And the predecessors of your position belong to that group.”
Nozomi swallowed nervously when she was reminded of the unpleasant group of former vice presidents. But she still didn’t understand what Eli could be worried of, she was untouchable, wasn’t she?
“None of the previous vice presidents lasted long because I personally made sure of that. How well do you think they’re going to take the news if I let you stay? You, who came to this school just months ago, who has had no connection to anyone in our world before. A nobody to them.”
It stung, being called a nobody. Nozomi swallowed to get rid of the lump in her throat.
“Pride can be a very ugly thing, especially if you grew up privileged. And I know the lengths some people will go to restore it,” Eli said lowly, grinding her teeth. “I know because I am one of those people.”
Nozomi took one hesitant step towards Eli. “You…is that why you changed your mind about me staying in the student council?”
Eli didn’t look up. “I shouldn’t have agreed in the first place. It was arrogant of me to assume that I could live on without bearing any consequences of the things I’ve done.”
“Eli,” Nozomi whispered, getting a flinch as a reaction, “are you – are you afraid?”
“Of them? They wish,” Eli hissed, starting to recklessly pace around, “I know they can’t do anything to me. And they know that it will backfire if I can trace it back to them. Why do you think did the badminton club just accept the budget cut without complaining directly to us?”
“If they can’t do anything to you, then what are you afraid -,” Nozomi didn’t finish her sentence when she suddenly realized what it was really about. She put a hand on her forehead, wondering how she could be blind. “You think they’re going to target me.”
Eli stopped pacing, staring at the ground. “I can’t always be around you.”
“And I don’t need you to be,” Nozomi replied heatedly, walking over to Eli. “I’m not afraid of them.”
Eli slowly looked up, her eyes finding Nozomi’s. “I know you aren’t,” she whispered, her voice weak, “but I made your life hard enough. I don’t…I just don’t want to be responsible anymore for any pain you feel…” She stared at her trembling right hand, closing and opening her fingers. “I don’t want to be that kind of person anymore. The kind of person who hurts people because they themselves can’t feel anything.”
“Eli,” Nozomi breathed, taking Eli’s trembling hand and holding it close to her chest. “It’s not your fault if they choose to target me, they are the ones responsible for their own actions.”
“You don’t understand, the only reason they would target you is because of me,” Eli tried pulling her hand out of Nozomi’s grasp, but the other girl didn’t let go.
“Then let them come,” Nozomi said firmly, “I’m not scared.”
“But I am!” Eli burst out shouting, managing to step away from Nozomi. Her loose bangs fell into her eyes, her gaze wild as she stared at Nozomi like an animal trapped in a corner. “I – I can’t take it, I can’t stand the thought of you starting to regret everything, of you starting to hate me because of them. To them, you might be a nobody, but to me, you’re –“ Eli clenched her teeth shut.
Nozomi closed the distance between them again and before Eli could react, Nozomi threw her arms around her shoulder and hugged her, pulling her in until there was no space left between their bodies. “Eli,” she whispered into the blonde’s ear, “don’t you know that I’m just a fool who cares too much?”
END.
AN: It hasn’t been an easy ride and I thank everyone who participated at some point or another. I’m sorry if I’ve let you down with this ending, which isn’t really an ending just a point where I stopped writing because I didn’t know what to type anymore. I used to be a chronic ‘not finishing a story’ type of author and I’m still amazed that I managed to write Buy Your Love or Soldier Wars, so it really kills me that I couldn’t give OPA the ending it deserves.
Long story short, the love live fandom has been really kind to me and it was really the best platform for my stories so far, so thank you for everything. Hope I’ll see some of you in another fandom or whereever it takes me

I was asked for some Muse gym leader headcanons
So here they are:
Honoka is the first gym leader you encounter.
She has all flying type pokemon.
Her preferred method of capturing pokemon includes eating bread, throwing rocks at birds for eating her bread, and then     throwing pokeballs when she runs out of rocks and bread.
Honoka, on her army of birb: “Together we will take over all the bakeries in Otonokizaka!!!”
——————
The second gym leader on your pokemon journey is Umi.
Her pokemon gym is actually a 300 year old dojo full of fighting type pokemon.
She makes you go through a 10 day strength training camp in the mountains ever time you challenge her to battle.
Umi:  “Honoka!  How can you expect your pokemon to win against me if you can’t even climb up this hill!?”
Honoka: “But Umi-chan…I only came over cause you have cake!!”
—————–
After escaping from Umi’s training of doom, you make your way to a pleasant valley, where you encounter the Moo Moo Farm Gym,     run by Kotori
Kotori’s gym is made up of normal type pokemon, such as     Miltank, Chansey, and Ditto.  She runs a pokemon daycare in her gym.
you must take care to not attack any of the baby pokemon or else Miltank will roll you out.
When you leave Kotori’s gym after obtaining the gym badge, she gives you a basket of muffins, a jug of milk, and heals your     pokemon before you go.
Kotori:  “Come back and visit us again anytime…unless Honoka-chan is visiting…her birds will eat all the muffins.”
—————-
The fourth gym you encounter is near a forest.  It is Rin’s bug type gym.
she runs around all day catching bugs, then runs to the next town over to show them to Hanayo and will only fight you between the hours of 10pm and 2 am, because that is the only time she is home.
The bugs are all abnormally fast and have high stamina     because she has them run with her.
Rin:  “Kayo-chin!  Let me show you all of my new friends!”
Hanayo:  “Its crawling on me!  Somebody save me!”
—————-
You follow Rin on one of her bug catching excursions and end up at the gym of Hanayo.
You have to wait for Hanayo to recover from meeting all of Rin’s new friends before you can have a battle.
Hanayo has a water type gym, because in her own words “how can fish be dangerous?”  She learned the hard way that all     pokemon are dangerous, but she still loves her pokemon all the same.
Her first pokemon was a magikarp.  She took such good care of him that when he evolved, he stayed fiercely loyal and will eat anyone who tries to harm her.  She loves him and calls him     “Mikarp”
Hanayo: “Mikarp is my best friend.”
Rin: “But Kayo-chin, what about me!?”
——————–
The last gym leader on your road to champion is Maki.
Her pokemon are all normal/fairy, with a certain inclination for music, such as Jigglypuff and Audino.
She holds pokemon concerts in her spare time, where the     pokemon perform her newly composed music, but she won’t sign autographs because she is too embarrassed.
Sometimes Nico comes to harass her for intruding on her idol business, but never fails to demand a ‘private concert’.
Nico:  “I am the greatest Idol in the world! I won’t be beaten by some pokemon!  I challenge you!”
Maki: “Go home already.”
—————-
Now that you have all the gym badges, Its time to face  the elite  four three, Eri, Nozomi, and Nico.
You face Nico first, coming up against her electric  type pokemon.
Ever since she heard that the last champion won with nothing but a Pikachu, she has been certain that using a party of pikachus     will be unstoppable.
Nico:  “I let you win this time, but next time I’ll take you down for sure, pika pii!”
——————-
Nozomi is next, she uses Psychic/Ghost type pokemon.
Nozomi is more inclined to prank you in battle and make bad jokes than fight seriously.  She is still almost enough to kick your ass.
It is particularly bothersome because half of the battle will be her pranking you and the other half will be her using bad pick up lines on Eri.
Nozomi:  “This cave must be haunted.”
Eri: “What?”
Nozomi: “Because you’ve been haunting my dreams all night.”
——————-
Eri is the final battle.  The one you must beat.
She has all fire type pokemon, and they absolutely adore her.  They light up the cave and make her feel secure.
They are also super effective against ghost type pokemon.
Eri: “Lets just get this over with.”
Nozomi:  “Erichi is looking forward to our date after this~”
Nico:  “Don’t you two ever stop!?”
_____________
You lose against Eri. Time to start over.  This time, you stock up on bread before going to face Honoka…

How to Handle a Nico: µ’s Reunion Start
Primary Pairing: NicoMaki Words: ~600 Rating: K Time Frame: Early in Maki’s 2nd year of high school and Nico’s 1st year of college. Story Arc: Stand Alone
List of all HtHaN scenes
Author’s Note: Just a quick little blip that came to mind while reading the final chapters of the Main Story that were just released in WW SIF. To be clear, this isn't the actual reunion, just the set up for it.
NicoNii: So how was your first practice of the new school year?
NishikinoMaki: Fine, I guess
NicoNii: Just “Fine”?
NishikinoMaki: Well it was good to get back into the routine
NishikinoMaki: Though I think Umi pushed us a little hard for our first session after such a long break
NishikinoMaki: And the new first years aren’t used to our level of practice yet
NishikinoMaki: But it was fun I guess
NicoNii: You guess?
NishikinoMaki: It’s different
NishikinoMaki: Not bad different
NishikinoMaki: Just different
NishikinoMaki: Say, Nico-chan
NicoNii: Yes?
NishikinoMaki: Can I come over?
NishikinoMaki: I want to see you
NishiknioMaki: And Nozomi
NicoNii: Was Maki-chan lonely at practice because Nico wasn’t there?
NishikinoMaki: Never mind
NishikinoMaki: I’ll just head home
NicoNii: Wait!
NicoNii: Of course you can come over!
NicoNii: I was just about to head out to pick up stuff for dinner
NicoNii: But I can wait for you to get here
NicoNii: We can go together
NicoNii: That sound good?
NicoNii: Maki-chan?
NicoNii: Eli is coming over tonight as well
NicoNii: So you can see all of us!
NicoNii: Maki-chan?
NicoNii: You’re still coming, right?
NicoNii: I want to see you too, Maki-chan
NishikinoMaki: Sorry, had to recharge my train card
NishikinoMaki: I’ll be there in a bit
SpiritualPower: You guys know you are in the main µ’s group chat, right?
NishikinoMaki has left the channel
NicoNii: Damnit Nozomi, you scared her off
Elichika: It’s not her fault you aren’t paying attention to the channels you’re using
NyaCat: Maki-chan is going to see the third years?
SpiritualPower: We’re not third years any more, Rin
SpiritualPower: We’re first years!
SpiritualPower: In college
LittleBirb: But you three will always be the third years in our hearts, Nozomi-chan
SpiritualPower: That’s cute, Kotori-chan
NyaCat: It’s not fair that only Maki-chan gets to see you guys!
ARISEfan1: Why don’t we all meet at Nozomi-chan and Nico-chan’s place?
SonodaUmi: Honoka!
SonodaUmi: You can’t just invite yourself over
SpiritualPower: Why not?
SpiritualPower: You’re all welcome here any time!
ARISEfan1: It will be like a reunion!
SpiritualPower: Exactly!
Elichika: Not like a reunion, it will be one
ARISEfan1: Our first reunion!
NyaCat: I want to come!
RiceQueen: As do I
NicoNii: It’s going to be crowded as heck
NicoNii: Nozomi, do we even have enough chairs?
SpiritualPower: We’ll figure it out
SonodaUmi: I am fine sitting on the floor
SpiritualPower: See, there you go
NicoNii: Well everyone who is coming, send me a PM now
NicoNii: I’ll need to get more groceries if I’m going to make food for nine
ARISEfan1: So Maki-chan is still coming?
NicoNii: Of course
NicoNii: I’m still talking with her via PM
NicoNii: She’s already on her way here so she’ll probably beat everyone else
NicoNii: But that’s fine because I’m taking her shopping with me
NicoNii: Everyone else just come whenever
SpiritualPower: I’ll be here to let people in
LittleBirb: Nico-chan I can help you cook when you get back
NicoNii: Thanks Kotori
ARISEfan1: I’m almost home, so I can grab some stuff from the bakery
SpiritualPower: That would be wonderful, Honoka-chan
RiceQueen: My family had a gathering last week
RiceQueen: I can bring some of the leftover supplies from that
RiceQueen: Like paper plates and cups and such
NicoNii: That would help a lot
NicoNii: I’ll scratch those off my list
NicoNii: Thank’s Hananyo
SonodaUmi: Will you need any help shopping, Nico?
SpiritualPower: She already has Maki-chan
SonodaUmi: Yes, but groceries for nine can get heavy
SonodaUmi: I can at least help carry bags
NicoNii: Thanks for the offer, Umi, but I think we’ll be fine
SpiritualPower: Nicocchi just wants time alone with Maki-chan
NicoNii: Shut up Nozomi
NicoNii: Geez, it’s a good thing she left the channel
LittleBirb: Umi-chan, there is a good store on the way from your place that we can pick up drinks
LittleBirb: I can meet you there
SonodaUmi: Alright
LittleBirb: Nico-chan, Umi-chan and I will bring drinks
NicoNii: Thanks Kotori
ARISEfan1: The first reunion of µ’s!
ARISEfan1: This is going to be so awesome!
ARISEfan1: I can’t wait!
Author’s Note Continued: One of these days I really need to write one of these reunions to which I keep referring. But I like the idea of Nozomi working her usual behind the scenes magic to ensure that the apartment she shares with Nico ends up being fairly centralized compared to where everyone else ends up, thus almost ensuring something like this would happen. Perhaps that will be referenced in another scene. Someday... maybe...

Twist: HonoEli!
• when or if I started shipping it.: Fuck like... whenever volume two of the manga came out and we got that scene with Honoka and Eli at the shut down elementary school.• my thoughts: Love love looooooove HonoEli- if it weren’t for HonoUmi HonoEli would probably be my OTP it’s such a good dynamic.• What makes me happy about them: I think how similar they are while still having their differences, particularly in how they react and respond to situations? They compliment each other really well and I absolutely love it.• What makes me sad about them: The anime. No seriously I’ve said this before but fuck I hate how much the anime gutted so much of the characters and their relationships with other characters it made me drop it for the entirety of the first season.• things done in art/fic that annoys me: I dunno’ this may just be me being an elitist or an “old timer” in the fandom but the fact that all the HonoEli fics I find have no semblance to their characters in the manga and the diaries, where their dynamic really really works kind of annoys me. I mean I understand why it’s that way, but it still annoys me.• things I look for in art/fic: Just Honoka and Eli being really really cute and loving to each other, fic wise maybe Honoka trying her best to live up to Eli’s legacy as student council president and Eli doing her best to make sure Honoka succeeds in her own way. And y’know... some semblance of their manga dynamic and characterisations, but well... yeah.• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Umi, Maki, or Nozomi. • My happily ever after for them: Eli goes into college for business while Honoka goes to a culinary university and they take over at Homura for Honoka’s parents, letting them retire earlier than they planned and moving out of the bakery while Honoka and Eli make it their own place.• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?: Sitting together in the park or at their old elementary school, watching as the revitalised sakura tree blooms in the early spring together.

Memory
【Memory】 Umimaki month day 10- amnesia _
A/n : AHH! Guys , I’m so sorry ! I was a bit sick the past few days , so I couldn’t get my mind to work at all. I hope that’s okay? I’m really sorry!
Plus , I didn’t proofread this yet , so I’m sorry if there are any mistakes . I’ll edit them later if I find any :’)
Oh and thank you sal for helping me write this ! @vanilla-code <3 you’re a hero
__
Chatters have filled Akiba , especially in otonokizaka , about a serial killer that’s been on the run not too long ago . He was psychotic when the police had caught him near the damp , narrow alleys , raping or attempting on killing “beautiful” women that he targets once in a while . And he was , of course , psychotic when he escaped the cells as well or that’s what they heard in the news. The civilians started getting cautious , nearly the whole city , to prevent any possible encounters with “The Woman Killer” . The idol club of otonokizaka high packed their stuff after practice , wanting to walk together for a change. Their walks together were always a memory ; a token of their time as μ’s. The raven haired member of the group over-dramatically sighed and looked at the setting sun . “Oh, what should I do? I’m too cute , the woman criminal might try attacking me! ” everyone’s eyes slanted at her for saying such things , and they just ignored her . “But , nico chan , you’re cute . The criminal goes after pretty girls right? Do you’ll be just fine!”
Kotori smiled , just to give her senior a little bit of reassurance and the attention she wanted. ‘Pretty ….’ a certain redhead thought , slanting her eyes to the right , observing her senior’s beauty and elegance ; her eyes were a shining amber , her midnight hair streaming down her back , a smile she thought was sweeter than honey. A blush rose up Maki’s cheeks , blinking at her repeatedly when she thought about that . She was too focused on umi’s details , she failed to notice the girl in question was looking at her questioningly ‘I just hope nothing happens to her..’
“Ma~ki~?” The redhead got back to her senses immediately when umi said that , but not realizing it was the umpteenth time she had called for her . The first year was in a bewildered state , seeing all the members look straight at her . “What’s wrong ?” Umi tilted her head confusingly , as of everyone else . In that instant , nozomi and rin smirked at the tsundere and snickered . Maki only turned red at this , looking away quickly .“n-n-Nothing!” Those two won’t stop teasing her after today , will they ? She paid it no mind later and started walking normally .
They started going to the stairs to get down to the Main Street , which was surprisingly empty . The first year took note of this , and was very confused . The streets were usually crowded at this time of day , yet they lifeless today. Maki felt uneasy as they approached the staircase ; she had a very bad feeling that something would happen. And as if queued , maki felt a sudden touch on her back as she was pushed forward . Her eyes widened immediately , as her mouth gaped open . “Maki!” Umi noticed a shady looking guy quickly zooming away , but she was more focused on her friend. Reflexively , she reached her hand out and managed to grab her hand . However, the momentum worked against her favor; threatening to send her tumbling down as well. Thinking fast, she instinctively pulled her junior to safety, Resulting in her taking Maki’s place. She braced herself against the initial impact, using her arms to distance herself from the sharp corners of the stairs. She rolled past three, then two more steps before her luck finally ran out. The back of her head slammed hard against one step, making her lose consciousness immediately. She then falls down the rest of the steps, sustaining heavy damage. Maki’s irises trembled , as her pupils grew wider ; her heartbeat quickened , her body stinging in pain from what she just witnessed . She hurriedly , almost reluctantly , stood up as shock overcame her body . A single gulp was given ; a single step , followed by many steps , were taken as she ran down the stairs to her desired location. “umi!” Almost a second later , everyone huddled around her , concern shown in their faces. Maki slowly , but gently placed umi on her arms. A sea of water pooled her eyes , furrowing her eyebrows in worry. “Hurry , call an ambulance!” Her demand made them spring into action quickly , dialing 110 as fast as their thumbs possibly could. The pianist held her senior dearly : “hang in there , umi” ____________
Maki bit her thumb , arching her eyebrows , looking at her feet stomping harshly , and quickly on the ceramic floor . She had to wait in the hospital’s reception , along with five others , waiting to hear about umi’s health. The nurse allowed two of her childhood friends to stay with her , until she gains her consciousness . Over an hour has already passed , and it could t get any slower . Maki stood up irritatedly , wanting to go to umi’s room . “Maki chan , you can’t nya! I know you’re desperate and you can’t handle it anymore , but you have to wait …” Maki clenched her trembling fists , turning to her classmate’s voice , her eyes were ice cold as ever. Maki wanted to talk back , and explain how bad she wanted to see her , but uneven footsteps that were growing louder and closer had caught her attention . She saw the ash and ginger haired second years panting , trying to catch their breath. “T-This is bad!” Everyone flinched at their leader’s sudden shaky report , that made them fret more than they already were . Kotori held her knees , letting out tired wheezing , her face indicating that , indeed, of it was something horrible happening. Maki clicked her teeth , not wanting to wait for a continuation , and quickly started dashing through the empty halls , huffing greatly. “Maki chan!” She ignored the calls of her name and rushed to umi’s room without stopping or taking detours. Her hand now on the handle , slamming the room door open, only seeing her senior with sunken eyes , her clenched hands on her lap. “UMI?!” Maki says aloud , almost screaming , huffing and puffing endlessly , until the other seven entered the room tired from all the running . “Maki chan, slow down!” Honoka asserted , holding her junior’s shoulder . Maki looked at nothing but at the girl in front of her , her contemplation grew stronger . She didn’t look like she was in an abhorrent state . If someone would look at her at a first glance , they’d say the girl was tired , sleepy , or just confused. “Ma..ki?” A sudden sound escaped the older girl’s mouth only to catch Maki’s attention immediately , waiting for her to continue her sentence. The latter raised her head leisurely to meet the eyes of her junior’s. “Who are you?” The younger girl seemed calm at first, however, Umi noticed that it was taking everything she had to stop herself from breaking down. There was panic in her eyes, and it didn’t suit her one bit. There was just so many questions left unanswered. Who was she? Where was she? Why was she here? Who was this person in front of her? She called her umi.. so that must have been her name. What a joke, to have forgotten her own name. Just what in the world happened?
Maki was shivering uncontrollably , as well as everyone was in the room .
“Eh?! What’s going on?!” Honoka says extremely and maki just looked down gritting her teeth in annoyance . “Amnesia…” she says , a hint on sadness obviously shown in her voice. The nurse only nodded as a response to Maki’s bitter vivid truth. Some of them never heard of the term amnesia before , so Eli had to simply tell them what it means . It’s so frustrating to accept the fact that one of their members has lost her memory . Fortunately , the doctor affirmed that her injury is not fatal and that she might easily gain her memory back , despite umi’s puzzlement.
__ A few days later , they released the archer from her hospital stay , being able to be in her friends care as of now . They were determined to get her anamnesis back , so the first thing her ash-haired childhood friend thought of was the latter’s own home . She could see her family and the dojo , which might make her remember . A wave of resemblance washed over her , however , she still couldn’t remember clearly “Then! What about homura?! Umi Cham loves our manjuu!” Honoka screams out and drags umi to her home , and bakery. Once they stepped foot in , Honoka took out a manjuu and gave it to her friend . Umi observed the ailment in bemusement , before putting it in her mouth. She started chewing carefully , then her eyes sparkled almost instantaneously. She loved them . It seems familiar , but couldn’t put her finger on it. “Ah.. I have an idea…but…” nozomi blurted out suddenly and everyone turned their gaze towards the eldest member in the room . The babbles in the room stopped after Honoka opened her classroom door . The sound of the chalk hitting the board froze and everyone looked at the girls who suddenly entered . Umi looked around and saw her classmates and her , well , classroom . “Umi Chan! Are you okay?!” Hideko , Mika, and fumiko quickly rushed to their missing classmate “is everything okay?!” It seems familiar , but It wasn’t
Maki clenched her fists angrily ; she couldn’t take this anymore. They’ve went to the club room , their changing room , the auditorium , and now the roof ; she couldn’t remember anything. “No…” maki speaks up and everyone looks at her “no more! it’s impossible! Just stop!” Maki screamed out her lungs and started crying . If they hadn’t gone together that day-scratch that- if she was more careful when they walked together , none of this would have happened. Umi wouldn’t have had to lose her memory! Everyone looks at the worried redhead who hid her face away from them . “If I have been more cautious, this wouldn’t have happened ! This is .. my fault….” her voice cracked at the end , making the brainwashed girl feel sorry . She waved her hands in front of her younger partner , trying to cheer her up. “N-nishikino San….was it? D-don’t worry! I’m sure I can rem-”
“Don’t try making me feel better! It’s all my– fault…?” Maki’s own words left her baffled and a bright idea popped in her head and she looked at her hands , then started looking at umi , her eyes showed undefeated determination . She took umi’s head , which left her dumbfounded. Maki dragged her downstairs quickly , entering a room she never thought of , ever. The music room , the room where it all began , and she wants to make it the room that her crush would regain her memory in. Maki sat on her favorite stool , heaving a large inhale and exhaled it immediately . Once maki pressed a finger on the piano keys , she started playing continuously .
“I love you , hooray I’m glad we made it here… Our present Is right here I love you , hooray This is just the beginning….” Umi’s eyes widened at Maki’s playing and singing , which made her heart flutter and skip a beat. Her eyes gleamed , and she started remembering little by little . All of her friend popped up in her head one after another , especially….
-flashback “Hey, umi… still can’t figure out the lyrics?” Maki smiled as umi felt slumped . “Then , lets sing together … it might give you an idea.. right..?”
“Sing …?”
“Aishiteru banzai!”
____
“ we’ve yet …” maki hesitated to complete the rest but took a deep breath .
“To reach our goal….” umi completed with a single tear dropping down her cheeks , alarming maki to shift to her senior …
“Maki…. ”
“U-Umi…i…”
A sudden bam could be heard as everyone came inside crying , freaking umi and maki out . Honoka quickly charged in for a hug . “Umiiii chaaaan”
“H-honoka!”
“You remember me!”
Everyone seemed very glad and happy about the current automation . Maki started crying soundlessly , but her tears were the most relieved and happy , that her eyes started to sting . She felt embarrassed about that and looked the other way , rubbing her eyes to get the tears from falling any further . Umi noticed that and looked at Honoka to let her go , which she did , and made her way to her lover. Umi touched Maki’s shoulder and made her swirl to her side , making maki shocked but still averted her eyes away from her. “Umi.. I’m so-” her words were cut off by a sudden embrace given by the other ; her face now heating up . “I’m back , maki.”

My Princess - Ch. 19
This started as a regular drabble…and then I just got carried away. Oh well, at least I’m getting back into writing.
My Princess – Ch. 19

Umi bit the inside of her cheek to hold back her words. Her hands were balled up into fists so tight that her knuckles turned white. She was using all her strength to retrain her anger towards her fellow comrades. Groundless rumors have been spreading around the base. It had all begun when Umi had her wedding with the eldest daughter of the Ayase family, Ayase Eli.
Umi came from a strict military family. The Sonoda’s were greatly well-known throughout the country, or at least they were before the family name became sullied from a pollical scandal a couple years back. But Umi was no fool; she knew her grandfather had been framed for a crime he didn’t commit which was the sole reason why she didn’t want to get involved with anything or anyone pertaining too closely to politics. Unfortunately, her marriage to Eli made that wish impossible. The Ayase family was deeply involved with politics. In fact, Eli’s father was a respected member of the council as was her grandfather before he retired, let alone is also related to the crown. The whole marriage was arranged by the king. There was no way Umi or her family could refuse. However, as Umi expected, rumors of the arranged marriage were spreading like wildfire.
“They must have threatened the crown to marry into such a high-status family. They should learn their place after that scandal.” Umi glared at the pair passing by who quickly walked away when they realized she had heard them.
“What’s wrong Sonoda? Cat got your tongue?” Umi wanted to ignore the voice, but it was hard to do when a group of guys were encircling around her.
“What do you want Ichihara? Was your lesson from the opening ceremony not enough last time? Or are you all masochists that you want more?” Amber eyes glared at the supposed leader of their group.
“Talking big for someone from a family with a tarnished name.” Ichihara scoffed at her threat. “As if the Sonoda family haven’t done anything else so underhanded. I bet your grandfather threatened the King to arrange the marriage between you and Ayase-san.”
“You should learn how to keep your mouth shut.” She walked away, pushing through the others. They weren’t much use since they didn’t try to stop her.
“Hey! Who said I was done talking!?” Ichihara grabbed Umi’s arm without a second thought. At first, he thought his bigger group of friends would scare Umi; instead, they all cowered behind him after just one look from Umi’s stare.
“If you don’t let me go this instant, I will use the means of self-defense in place of my generosity.”
“G-go ahead! I’d like to see you try!” He forced a smirk. “Ayase-san should have married someone better. Someone like me.”
Umi didn’t hesitate to send her fist flying towards his face. She figured this would be the best way to let out some steam.
“So, how’s the married life?” Nico asked the question before popping a cookie in her mouth. Eli sat comfortably with her two best friends at the Sonoda mansion. The question had her thinking to herself. “Don’t tell me what’s-her-face is treating you badly? If she is, I will march to wherever the hell she is and punch her in the face before throwing divorce papers in her face!”
“Nico, you’re in her house you know…” Eli deadpanned.
“Nicocchi is so protective~.” Nozomi giggled at the brunette. “Don’t worry, Elichi is in good hands.”
“Oh, don’t give me that ‘the cards told me so’ bull.” Nico frowned. “I seriously don’t think she could take care of Eli. I mean come on, if Old man Ohara didn’t arrange the marriage, the So-”
“That’s enough Nico!” The said person jumped in her seat when Eli raised her voice. The blonde sighed at her friend’s behavior, but she appreciated that Nico was looking out for her. “Umi is treating me very well.”
“Oh? Using first names already? My~ how fast Elichi is moving.” Nozomi began poking fun at Eli to change the atmosphere of the room.
“N-Nozomi!” A light shade of pink colored Eli’s cheeks when the purple haired girl pointed that out.
“Elichi is so pure. But to think that fate would bring you to your crush so easily. You must really be loved by the heavens.” Nozomi added, making Eli blush harder.
“Crush?” Nico furrowed her eyebrows and looked at the other two. “What the hell are you talking about Nozomi?”
“Elichi has been crushing on Sonoda Umi for the longest time. I didn’t tell you?” The busty girl tilted her head.
“NO! What the hell Nozomi?!” Nico shot up in her seat. “Why’d you leave me out of the loop!? Do you have any idea on how much I have missed out on teasing her?!”
“That’s why you’re mad?!” Eli couldn’t believe her friends were fighting over such a trivial thing.
Nico sat back down with a huff and took a sip from her teacup. “So how far have you two gone then?” The question had Eli spitting out her tea.
“W-what?!” Eli was flabbergasted earning a smirk from the petite girl.
“Oh, come on. You two are married now. You have to had spent your wedding night…” Nico trailed off when Eli’s face became crestfallen. “Wait…really?”
Eli looked away and played with her fingers. She didn’t want to admit that the idea of sleeping with her partner scared her, but they were complete strangers to each other. Besides knowing about each other’s family backgrounds, there was almost nothing else in between. Eli’s thoughts lead her to scrunch up her face deeper.
“Why don’t you ask her on a date then?” Nozomi proposed to give the blonde some ideas. “There’s no need to rush things if you’re not comfortable with each other.”
“If anything, she’s lucky she married you because anyone would die to even have you look their way- ow! The hell Nozomi?” Nico rubbed the side of her ribs when the taller girl jabbed her with her elbow.
“Umi-sama, welcome back. You’re home ear- oh my goodness!” Three heads perked up at the maid’s voice. They peeked around the corner and found Eil’s wife with a grimace present; her face was battered up, cheek bandaged along with a cut lip.
“Sonoda-san, the General said that you are to be on vacation leave for the time being. He says to take it was a present to spend time with your wife as you did not have a honeymoon.” The General’s secretary gave Umi a salute and left after escorting her back home.
“Vacation leave.” Umi scoffed. “He might as well just have said suspension instead of sugarcoating it.”
“Umi-sama, are you alright? Do you hurt anywhere?” The maid’s eyes filled with worry looking at the blue haired girl.
“I’m fine. Just a couple scratches.” Umi gave her a smile of reassurance to ease her. “Thank you for worrying Rena.”
“Y-you’re welcome…” Rena’s cheeks flushed. Eli couldn’t help feeling a little jealous of how close they were.
“Ohhh…” The blonde jumped and turned around to find Nozomi and Nico cooing at her. The smirks on their faces were so easy to read. They knew.
“W-what?” Eli gave the two an annoyed look.
“Nothing~.” They both responded together. Sometimes Eli wondered how those two got along so well.
“I’m tired. I’ll be in my room.” Umi passed by the three making way to her room. Eli gave her spouse a worried look, only to be avoided. She couldn’t help but feel disappointed given the cold shoulder.
xXx
“Do you think she’ll be okay?” Nico left the mansion with Nozomi lost in a deep thought. “I don’t like the way she’s being treated. Especially when she has to stay here.”
“Nicocchi really is caring.” Nozomi softly bumped into the other. “Don’t worry, Umi-chan is just awkward, that’s all.”
“You talk like you know her.”
“I do. She’s my cousin after all.” Nozomi put a hand to her chin and racked her brain for old memories. “I never told you?”
“NO!”
Eli watched her two friends leave from the window and sighed to herself. She looked at the silver band on her finger and wonder what her uncle was thinking when he arranged the marriage.
“Nozomi-chan hasn’t changed at all.” The voice behind her gave Eli a small startle. She turned around and found Umi’s grandmother and mother smiling at her.
“Ah…yes…Grandmother…” Eli still wasn’t used to calling the elder woman that, but the warmth she radiated made her feel comfortable.
“It seems that Umi-chan got into trouble with her superiors for getting into a fight today.” Eli frowned, earning a soft smile from the other. “Why don’t you bring these to her room?” Umi’s grandmother handed Eli a box with letter’s reading Homura’s Bakery. Eli wasn’t sure what the woman was getting at, but she took the box without hesitation.
“Yes, Grandmother.” Eli smiled brightly and went upstairs to Umi’s room.
“Honestly, Umi needs to stop being so shy. Eli isn’t going to bite her.” Umi’s mother sighed while her grandmother gave a hearty laugh.
“You weren’t any better when you first met Ryoma.”
“Mother!”

Umi laid in her bed with her arm resting over her eyes. She was tired, both mentally and physically, but just couldn’t seem to fall asleep. Another sigh escaped her lips before face-planting into the nearby pillow. When she heard a soft knock from the other side of the door, Umi immediately straighten herself out before opening it.  “Yes?”
“U-Umi-sama, I was wondering if you were hungry so I brought you some tea and snacks.” Rena tried to hide her blush, but it didn’t matter because Umi didn’t pay much attention to it.
“Thank you, Rena.” Umi moved to the side to let her in and closed the door behind them. Rena entered and set the tray onto a table near the corner of the room.
“Is there anything else you would like Umi-sama?” The maid fiddle with her hands and kept her eyes glued to her feet. Being in the same room alone with the “Shining Knight” was a dream come true for any of the younger maids who worked at the Sonoda mansion.
“No-” Another knock interrupted Umi’s sentence. “Yes, I’m coming.” She got up to open the door and was surprised to find Eli on the other side holding a box of sweets from Homura’s Bakery. “Eli-san?”
“I was asked to bring these to you from Grandmother,” Eli noticed Rena in Umi’s room and felt a small pang in her chest. “I’m sorry, did I interrupt you?”
“No, please, come in.” Umi walked her into her room and sat in the chair, signaling for Eli to sit across from. “Rena, could get another cup for Eli-san?” The maid gave a bow and left the room, but Eli could hear a dissatisfied mumble under her breath as she left. She couldn’t pick out the words, but it was most likely something about Eli being in the way. “Is there something wrong Eli-san?”
“Eh?! Ah- no, I was just spaced out a bit.” Eli gave Umi a quick smile and quickly tried to change the course of the conversation. “So, this is your room…it’s very…”
“Plain.” Umi took a sip from her teacup. “I know.”
“N-no! It’s not that! I was going to say it is very simple! It suits you.” Umi chuckled at the other’s panicked state making Eli blush at the discovery of a new side to her spouse.
“It’s okay. I’ve been told that I should put more decorations, but I just never seem to have the time since I’m always so busy.” Eli wondered how red her face was. The charming smile Umi gave her made her heart race. The blonde was beginning to wonder if the room was getting hot like her. Umi on the other hand, didn’t seem to notice the blush on Eli’s face. Her eyes were too focused on the box Eli had brought with her.
“Shall we have some sweets?” The question Eli posed brought Umi back to reality. “You look like you really want them.” Heat rose up Umi’s neck knowing that Eli have seen such an embarrassing side of her.
“I-I apologize for acting like this…” Umi turned away and wished she could disappear from the surface of the world. It wasn’t every day she would let her guard down around others.
“There’s no need to apologize.” Eli giggled. The sound of her angelic voice was so soothing, Umi was sure some of the heavy weight lifted off her shoulders, only to be hit with another wave of guilt.
xXx
“Why don’t you two go on a honeymoon. Umi, you’re not going to be busy for the next few weeks so go spend more time with your wife and get to know her.” The stoic man sitting across from her at the dinner table suggested the idea.
“Father!” Heat rose to Umi’s cheeks knowing that her family were going to poke their nose into her married life. Eli couldn’t stop herself from doing the same. She had always heard rumors that the Sonoda family were strict with rules, but after living with them for the past few days, she was beginning to think that that wasn’t always the case.
“I have to agree with your father Umi.” Umi retorted the same way to her mother as she did to her father. She could not believe that they were going to have this conversation at the dinner table with everyone present.
“Umi-chan.” The younger girl shut her mouth and looked at her grandmother. “I want you both to be have a happy and healthy marriage. That means both of you are to put effort into the relationship if you want things to work out.”
“…I understand…”
“Good. Your grandfather and I are waiting for more little children to run around in this house. Your sister and niece don’t visit home often because they live too far away.” The old woman put a hand to her cheek and pretended to be sad. “I want my Umi-chan to have children too.”
“G-Grandmother! Can we not have this talk at the dinner table.” Umi was beet red, while the same could be said for Eli. The adults enjoyed their teasing of the newlyweds and went back to idle discussions amongst themselves. Looking from the corner of their eyes, they got a glimpse of each other briefly, only to avert away as their faces turned a brighter shade of red.
The next day, the two were kicked out of the house. With no other choice, Umi took their bags and they headed for the train station. Eli followed in suit as she did not know where their destination was, but she couldn’t help feeling avoided when Umi refused look at her and always walk a few steps in front of her. Lost in her thoughts, Eli wondered if they could get closer like their families wanted; if not, this was going to be a painfully awkward honeymoon.
“How do you feel about the beach Eli-san?” They both took a seat across each other at their booth on the train.
“Eh?” Eli looked up at the other.
“Well…” Pink softly colored Umi’s cheeks. “We have a vacation house near the beach…and I was wondering if that was okay with you…I apologize for not asking you beforehand.
“I would love to go to the beach. The summer weather makes it even better to go.” Eli flashed a smile to the blue hair girl, making the other’s heart quicken its pace.
“…I really don’t deserve you…” Umi mumbled under her breath, but Eli was able to catch her words. She frowned knowing that her partner was insecure of their relationship.
“Why do you say that?” Eli was curious. Like, how can someone who is a splitting image of a fairy tale prince saying that to someone nothing close to a princess.
“You deserve someone who loves you. Not someone from a scandalous family who hardly knows how to interact with you…”
“Who’s to say we can start now?” Eli steeled her nerves and took the other’s hand. “I want to get to know the person I married. Not as Sonoda Umi, but just Umi…is it alright if I call you that? You can call me Eli too.” The blonde fluttered her eyelashes.
“O-of course! I don’t mind that at all!” Umi’s pink cheeks quickly turned red at the contact of their hands. Eli let out a stifled giggle.
“So cute.” She thought to herself and got up, letting the hand go. Umi was confused at first, but immediately became stiff as a board when Eli took a seat beside her and laced their hands together. “Then this is okay too, right?”
“P-please don’t tease me…” Eli chucked and enjoyed the warmth of their hands rest of the ride to the Sonoda vacation home.
xXx
The scorching summer sun was at its highest peak, but that didn’t stop people from enjoying their fun under the blue sky. Umi was dressed lightly in casual clothes fit for the hot weather. The two had arrived earlier to the vacation home and were getting ready to go out.
Umi paced the living room as she tried to calm herself. Last night she had received a call from a certain purple haired girl to take Eli out on a date. A chill ran down her spine when she remembered what Nozomi told her. “If you make Elichi cry, expect punishment when you two get back.” She didn’t know how Nozomi could ever possibly find out if it did happen, but truth be told, she didn’t want to know.
“Sorry for the wait.” Umi stopped what she was doing and found herself staring at her wife. The white, one-piece dress she was wearing had the other mesmerized. Eli even had her hair down which, in Umi’s opinion, even more holy than the blonde already was. She was completely untouchable to Umi, just like when Eli walked down the aisle on their wedding day. “How do I look?”
“You look beautiful…” The words came out so casually that it had them both blushing. “L-let’s go!”
xXx
Hours have passed and Eli was currently pouting under the shade of the umbrella. Blue eyes stared intensely at a certain blue haired girl. This was supposed to be their moment to get closer to each other and it was completely ruined, all because Umi was too charming and grabbed the attention of other women. Eli was beginning to wonder if Umi have forgotten about her since she was currently too busy being surround by other girls in their revealing swim suits.
“Heyyy, why don’t you teach us how to swim?” One of the girls grabbed Umi by the arm and pressed it between her chest. Baffled, Umi wasn’t sure how to get away anymore.
Infuriated at the sight, Eli stormed off to the more secluded area of the beach. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes, but she didn’t want them to. That would mean she would admit that her marriage was nothing but in name. She sighed and found herself staring at the ring on her left and.
“You deserve someone who loves you.”
“Was Umi forced into their marriage against her will? Does that mean that Umi already had someone she loved? Does that mean I can’t be the one for her?” Eli wanted to disappear. Sure, maybe she was overthinking the meaning behind the words, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t be a possibility. She continued to be lost in thought until she felt a cold object press against her cheek and jumped in surprise.
“I was looking for you Eli.” Eli carefully scanned Umi’s face and found a trace of worry behind her amber eyes. She was touched at first, but gave a hum in response when she remembered how easily she was forgotten. “You should stay hydrated.”
“I’m fine.” Umi sat down beside her and frowned.
“Did I do something to upset you.” It seems she haven’t realized how hard Eli was trying to make their complicated relationship work.
“Not really. But you looked like you were having so much fun with those other girls so why don’t you go back to them.”
“I rather be here with you.” There was no longer any hesitation behind her voice. Umi wondered to herself when exactly did she get all this confidence. “Wait a minute. Are you jealous?”
“So what if I am?!” Eli shot up and shouted down at Umi. “What’s wrong with being jealous about other women hitting on the person I’m married to?! What’s wrong with being jealous when the person I fell in love with isn’t looking my way?!”
“Eh…? The person…you fell in love with…?” Umi wasn’t sure what to say; it was such a sudden confession and to make matters worse, because of Umi’s disability to see that she had hurt Eli made it hard to stomach. “Do you mean that?” Eli didn’t try to reply, instead, the tried to walk off again. But this time, Umi stopped her. She wanted to know if those words were true of not. “Eli.”
“Yeah…I love you…ever since that day you saved me from being taken hostage…”
“I see…” Umi soften the grip she had on Eli’s arm. “…I didn’t think you would feel about me that way…”
“You don’t have to think about it too much. It doesn’t matter-”
“It does.” Eli turned her body to get a look at Umi. “I’m an idiot for thinking all to myself and not sharing my thoughts with you. All this time, I kept thinking that you deserved someone better than me, so I…” Umi let out a sigh. “What am I saying…?”
“So what you’re saying is…” Eli trailed off.
“I…I can’t deny that I have been charmed by you…one too many times to be exact.” Umi cleared her throat. “And the first to do so…”
Eli felt like she was walking on air. It was a dream to hear those kinds of words from Umi. She was so happy that she couldn’t contain it and jumped onto the other, pulling each other into a big embrace.
xXx
Somehow, Umi found herself resting in Eli’s lap (much to the other’s persuading) while the other gently ran her fingers through her hair. She found it to be shameless to do such things in public, but she couldn’t find herself to say no after what Umi had done earlier. Eli’s fingers also felt good, but she wasn’t going to admit to that out loud.
“Hey, Umi?” Umi turned her head to look up at the blonde who did the same looking down. “Can I be with you tonight?”
“Okay.”
Eli couldn’t believe that this was happening. She sat on the bed they were going to share. The mere thought of what was going to happen next made her chest feel like it was going to burst. She put a hand to her chest and took deep breaths to slow down her racing heart. Umi was currently in the shower because she had suggested Eli take one first to get sand off her body.
The sound of the shower being turned off sent a put a sinking feeling in Eli’s stomach. Stripping out of her bathrobe, Eli slipped under the covers quickly. Umi stepped out of the bathroom with a towel covering her head to dry her hair.
“Are you feeling okay Eli?” Umi haven’t realized that her wife was completely bare under the covers.
“Y-yeah…” Eli’s face flushed when Umi sat at the edge of the bed. “H-hey Umi?”
“Yes?” Gentle amber irises locked with the other’s blue eyes.
“Kiss me.” Umi’s face exploded at the command.
“A-are you sure about that?! I-I mean…”
“If it’s you, I don’t mind.”
With eyes closed, Umi timidly moved closer to the blonde and slowly closed the distance between their faces, however, she stopped when their lips where only centimeters apart. Her heart was so loud she wondered if the other could hear it. She had hoped Eli would let her mentally prepare herself, but the other wrapped her arms around Umi’s neck and completed the kiss. Umi could have sworn she stopped breathing for a good two seconds. They pulled away with flushed faces and felt as if the room temperature went up a few degrees.
“Eli…” Umi’s face burned bright. “Is there a reason you’re naked in my bed?”
“I-I did say I want to spend tonight with you…” Eli’s face reflected Umi’s.
“S-such things are only after marriage!”
“Umi, we are married.”
“Ah…that’s right…I-I apologize…it’s just…I’ve never…done somethings like this before.” Umi hid her face behind her hands. “I just had my first kiss too…”
“Eh?” Eli blinked. “That was your first kiss too?” They looked at each other before bursting out into laughter.
“We’re a mess, aren’t we?” Umi gave her signature lopsided smile to Eli right before she was pulled onto the bed.
“I don’t care if we are. I want to be with you. That much I know.” Eli initiated another kiss. It was more natural feeling like they had already done it multiple times, despite being only their second one. Umi moved on top of Eli when the other tugged her closer, accidentally groping her breast in the process, and earning a moan from the woman under her.
The sound acted like a trigger, flipping a switch inside of Umi. Carefully, she removed the covers hiding Eli’s goddess-like body and studied every curve intensely. Eli immediately tired, but ultimately failed, to cover herself under the power gaze Umi gave. Umi began to press kisses against Eli’s neck, the sensation felt like fire against Eli’s skin. More and more, Umi made her way down towards the valley of her wife’s breasts.
“U-Umi…”
“You’re beautiful Eli.”
“Mou…you make this like it’s a second nature to you. Are you sure you’re not lying to me about this being you first?” Eli was utterly embarrassed and hid her face behind a pillow.
“Why don’t we find out?” Umi went back to kissing Eli’s body, except, she was going lower with each one.
“W-wait Umi!”
“You started this.” Amber eyes peaked from in between Eli’s legs, glowing in the dim lit room.
“Umi!” Eli’s voice hitched when she felt a kiss move up her inner thigh. Her body felt like it was on fire. Every touch she received from was just adding to the flames. “Don’t stop…”
“I want to burry myself…” Umi was faceplanted into her pillow.
The morning sun had risen while the two were still tangled in between the sheets. Eli pulled her lover closer and giggled into the other’s ear.
“Are you sure that was your first time?”
“Of course, it was!” Umi turned around. “I would never lie to you.”
“I know, but I won’t forgive you if you ever cheat on me.” Her smile sent a familiar chill down her spine.
“Y-yes ma’m.” The blue haired girl meekly responded.
“Good.” Eli rolled Umi onto her back and straddle her at the hips. “Now it’s my turn.”
“E-eh?” Amber eyes flickered when the blonde licked her lips.
“It’s not fair that you were the only one marking me.” Eli replied.
“P-please go easy on me…”
One day…one day I will write a complete NSWF story. That one day just isn’t today
