Abolish Section 5 NOW!
Hey, readers! Strap in because today, we're diving into the cesspool of absurdity that is Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 in the UK. If you're not familiar, it's the part of the law that thinks it's a great idea to slap charges on anyone causing "harassment, alarm, or distress." Spoiler alert: it's a disaster!
Let's talk about how this vague and wishy-washy legislation is turning our right to free expression into a joke. "Likely to cause distress?" Are you kidding me? Newsflash: life itself can be distressing. So, unless we all want to live in a padded bubble, maybe it's time to get real about what freedom of speech really means.
Section 5 is a playground for subjective interpretation. What's harassment, what's alarm, and what's distress? Who knows! It's a wild guessing game, and guess what? The prize is a potential criminal record. Bravo, lawmakers, bravo.
Ever heard of a chilling effect? Well, Section 5 is a prime example. People are scared to voice their opinions or stand up for what they believe in because, oh no, it might cause some distress. Give me a break! Democracy thrives on debate, dissent, and differing opinions. Section 5, on the other hand, seems hell-bent on suppressing all that good stuff.
And let's not forget the horror stories of peaceful protesters getting slapped with Section 5 charges. Yeah, because apparently holding a sign or speaking up for change is now equivalent to causing "alarm." Give me a break.
We're not saying public order isn't important, but surely there's a better way to maintain it without stifling our basic rights. Maybe it's time to put Section 5 where it belongs – in the trash.
To the policymakers out there: wake up and smell the injustice! It's time to abolish or seriously overhaul Section 5. Let's create a legal landscape that respects our right to speak our minds without fear of being labeled a criminal for causing a little discomfort.
So, UK, let's demand change, let's demand our right to speak freely, and let's abolish Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986. The time for complacency is over.
Rant over.

‼️ JANE GOES ALERT‼️
******Prayer Warriors needed*******
This Jane Goe was arrested after an argument with her husband. Police were called & he claimed she gave him a bloody nose. She spent the night in jail and was charged with domestic abuse and a criminal no-contact order was put in place - meaning she can NOT go home. (This is standard MO).
Unbeknown to anyone at the time - her husband had severely beaten HER and called the police as punishment for standing up to him.
Over the next several days - the bruises from the beating started showing up and the baby she was pregnant with - DIED.
Instead of being able to mourn the loss and start to heal - she’s navigating the SLOW moving wheels of the justice system and ALL the chaos this situation has created. Hiring attorneys, paying retainers, navigating a divorce, child custody, defending criminal charges, visitations, no-contact orders, and rebuilding her business - while learning how to be a single mother to 3 lil ones AND keeping up with school, sports and holidays schedules.
I’ve been here since the beginning - It’s been personally frustrating to watch an innocent person continually get gas-lite by a system that’s suppose to protect HER. (Flashbacks to my own journey).
While the abuser enjoys watching her struggle and knows he will never be held accountable to the true crime.
I WILL NEVER understand why it’s takes so long for truth to be heard and the justice system to self-correct (Arghhh!).
THIS IS AN ACTUAL TRUE STORY happening right now - this could be your daughter, sister, best friend or loved one. If you can help - in any way - reach out to me.
This Jane Goe is on Day 93 of her walk. She’s anchored in faith and surrounded by a tribe of disciples and she trust God is working in mysterious ways.
Please pray for her! She’s got a few upcoming court dates - the sooner we can get her OUT of the justice system - the sooner she can start healing.
❤️‍🩹 Please share - bringing awareness for the need of change is the first steps of change. CKRET Foundation is happy to help.

April is sexual assault awareness month: I decided to start my blog with this right here: I stand here today to advocate for the women and even young children who are not just victims but survivors. - “NO” DOES NOT MEAN CONVINCE ME.
The number of HuMENS that have none to zero respect for the word “no” is beyond bothersome to me. Somewhere in the back of my head I ask, “who taught them this behavior was okay?” Behind every action; good and bad behavior has a story behind this to tell. It’s completely heartbreaking!! This isn’t something people are born with?! This right here was taught behavior. My only question is “why?”-
“why” blame your past to allow such behavior? Wouldn’t you want to use that to put an end to this hurt? “Why” just recycle the abuse and destroy a child’s body? “It hurts! Stop! Please! You promised it wouldn’t go this far again please NO!” “WHYYYYY” would you consider this hurt to be okay if it happened to you? “Why” would you rip away and shred peices of my soul that I didn’t give you permission to have? “Why!!!!!!” Just ... “why.” -
I could scream the word “WHYYYY” for days on top of the tallest mountain peak and still feel like I’ve never been heard. By god? By my parents? By society? The police never listened... I was made out to be a liar.... I knew nobody would ever believe me after that So I stopped talking and became submissive. I gave up....I had no one to protect me or to run to. But today, (24 years later) do I stay stuck in this Downward spiral of severe depression? or Is it time to finally stand up, speak my story, and do something about it. “Why” didn’t I know it was ALLOWED To say “NO?”
I was only 3 when the grooming began. Ages from infancy to 5 years old are your most critical and crucial developmental ages of your whole life. This is where your belief systems starts, your whole foundation AND identity. I was Made to believe that I was the “bad guy” only at 4 years old when it became consistent. I was manipulated into the belief that if I “told” I was going to get in BIG BIG trouble or worse... that I would get hurt physically and might be locked away never to be heard from ever again or worse. I then thought that nobody will EVER beleive me, that I’m just a dirty girl. “So just come sit on my lap, let’s play those fun games we do” he says. Next persons turn was my younger cousin. The worst was he was a boy. I remember going home from my grandmas house and taking a million baths to try to wash that “dirty feeling” away and hating myself after... just “why!” I thought to myself.
It took me and my cousin 25 years to talk about it. He hasn’t talked to the family in several years since we both grew up dealing with an evil, evil uncle with many skeletons and dirty secrets all hidden In a back room at my grandparents house. Me and my cousin both loved my grandparents, it was both our happy place and biggest nightmare. We couldn’t even attend my grandfathers funeral our grandmas funeral was hard enough to bare. After 7 years of my cousins silent strike he took with the family, I also struggled those 7 years with drug addiction and bad choices and constantly in flight or fight. For the first time in 7 years we spoke up and our family is finally back together and wrote my evil uncle off..... but this was only just the beginning..........
The start to an ugly returned nightmare. The shadows that are just starting to begin to unfold is much much more serious than we ever knew.... just how many victims are there?

Did you know that approximately every 73 seconds, a person in America is Sexually Abused. Also, did you know that every 9 minutes a child is receiving that abuse? Ya, probably not. How do we change this? How do we stop it
