Kaz def loves, LOVES this one so much
Naryn (or naaryn, norin), Kazakh-Kyrgyz-Uzbek dish
(Here I’m describing how the food is made in this video, variations may exist in real life according to regions)
-Boil kazy (horse meat sausage) and lamb/horse meat chops (but I think here uses horse meat)
-Use the broth to add into the dough to make noodles
-Meanwhile cut the boiled kazy and finely shred horse meat chops. Really fine shreds
-Roll the dough into flat pasta, cut into 4 or so large pieces
-Boil pasta in horse meat broth
-After it’s done slather the pasta pieces with oil so they won’t stick, roll them and cut into thin noodles
-Plate the noodles, mix with shredded meat and top with kazy
-May be eaten with broth or tuzdyk (onion sauce made of onion, broth, salt, pepper)

So while I take my sweet time getting the Baenre Estate finished, I thought I’d do a slightly easier Modern AU project: one of the Oblodra Estates.  The baseline lot is a modification of animefreak1103′s farmhouse.
Part of the idea with the Modern AU House Oblodra hinges on a concept I’ve been playing with that at least half of K’yorl’s “children”, Kimmuriel included, are actually her nieces and nephews with a lot of psionic potential.  Most of them would be considered minor nobles or even commoners bc of how drow society functions, and if K’yorl wanted to expand her power elevating the children of her siblings would be an effective way to do it.  For the Modern AU, that won’t fly so one of K’yorl’s siblings, Jalynfein, is close enough that the two branches are in regular contact.
Since only 4 of K’yorl’s children are ever detailed I ended up getting a bit creative with coming up with other characters so I’ll have the room breakdown under the cut.
The Do’Urden Estate
1: Jalynfein and Vicarra’s room.  Jalynfein’s wife is from the concept I’ve been working through: Vicarra Masq’il’yr.  Overall the influx of painter easels and artist’s supplies are hers, my way of translating Vicarra being a wilder.
2: Naryn’s room.  Naryn is Jalynfein and Vicarra’s eldest daughter, I imagine about as creative as her mother but I channeled it more into music.
3: Myrra’s room.  Myrra’s been the sibling just above Kimmuriel since very early drafts of this au, something of a counterpoint to Vierna in how she engages with familial expectations.
4: Kimmuriel’s room: Kimmuriel is around Dinin and Maya’s age in the Modern AU.  He’s not the youngest and I like to think this is a significantly healthier environment than canon, and I did try to work it so you can tell he takes after his father.
5: Vitania’s room: Vitania is the youngest and to call her the baby of the family would be an understatement.  She’s Drizzt’s age and probably one of his friends if I’m being realistic.

Which frozen city on Snowpiercer should be the home of ice zombies that can go destroy New Eden?
a) Oymyakon, Russia
b) Harbin, China
c) Yellowknife, Canada
d) Fairbanks, Alaska
e) Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
f) Nursultan, Kazakhstan
g) Erzurum, Turkey
h) Naryn, Kyrgyzstan
i) Hell, Norway
j) Dallas, USA
All of these are funny options. Realistically speaking I think Erzurum would be the closest geographically, right? But the idea of them coming from Hell, Norway or just fucking Dallas is sending me.

Osh: Osh, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, is rich in culture and history, having been around for more than 3,000 years. Situated in the lush Ferghana Valley in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan, Osh presents an extensive variety of backgrounds, lively marketplaces, and historic sites. UNESCO-listed Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain, Muslim pilgrimage site and symbol of religious value, is the city's most popular attraction.
Song Kol Lake: Situated in the high-altitude plateau of Naryn Province at 3,016 metres above sea level, Song Kol Lake is an amazing mountain lake that is well-known for its amazing natural beauty and traditional customs. Karakol: Karakol is a stunning town that is well-known for its historical sites, different cultures, and outdoor activities. It is located at the easternmost point of Issyk-Kul Lake. Karakol, which was first established in the 19th century as a Russian military outpost, has developed into a thriving cultural hub that is influenced by Kyrgyz, Russian, and Dungan traditions. Among town's architectural attractions is beautiful Dungan Mosque, which was constructed in traditional Chinese style using no nails at all.
Skazka Canyon (Fairy Tale Canyon): Hidden away in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul area, Skazka Canyon, sometimes called Fairy Tale Canyon, is a natural wonder famous for its bright colours and unique rock formations. The canyon's high sandstone mountains, colourful formations, and layers of sedimentary rock in shades of red, orange, and yellow, carved by ages of wind and water erosion, create an invisible scene suggestive of a realm from fairy tales.
Tash Rabat Caravanserai: Tash Rabat Caravanserai, which is hidden away in the isolated mountains of Naryn Province, is a monument to Kyrgyzstan's rich past as crossroads of civilizations along historic Silk Road. Stone caravanserai dates back to 15th century and was an important resting place for traders, merchants, and tourists making their way through dangerous mountain passes that connect China with Central Asia.
Sary-Chelek Biosphere Reserve: The Sary-Chelek Biosphere Reserve is a pure wilderness area known for its biodiversity, graphic beauty, and conservation activities.
