My Hero Academia Guys Streaming Headcanons
These are just the guys I can see streaming.
Tumblr media
Plays mostly "cute" games like Cookie Run and Animal Crossing.
His Animal Crossing island is well thought out but it took him so long to decide what he wanted to put where.
There is an All Might shrine near his in game house. That's where he logs out of the game every time without question.
Often has the LoFi Hip Hop radio playing in the background for the vibes. Sometimes he will turn it off to just enjoy the ambiance of the game.
He very rarely swears and when he does, his chat blows up.
Streams are super consistent. If he can’t make a stream due to hero duties, he will be super apologetic next stream.
Does lots of streams with Todoroki and Uraraka. Tried to get Bakugo to stream with him once for the viewers.
Never again.
Tumblr media
Swears so much when streaming. And chat has been told they just have to deal with it.
Kirishimi is one of his mods and he set up a donation page that acts as a swear jar. Every time Bakugo swears, chat donates.
All they know is that the money goes to charity and Bakugo has sworn to kill Kiri if he ever tells them that the funds go to helping less fortunate hero agencies.
He mostly streams first person shooters like Halo and Valorant.
He’s pretty good at them too thankfully because every time he loses, chat is worried that he will blow up part of his streaming set up.
He’s been through five mouses and three keyboards already.
Streams are pretty regular but chat knows better than to ask why he didn’t stream when he usually would. Bans have happened for less.
He also refuses to stream longer than the recommended 2 hours.
Tumblr media
Very quiet streamer. Chat is trying to get him to talk more. Not that they mind just watching him.
He has a lot of fanboys and fangirls.
But get him streaming with Midoriya and suddenly he is way more talkative. Still not to the extent of most streamers but getting there.
Plays clicker games mostly but will try most things. He’s event tried dating games before.
That was an interesting stream.
Chat has got him to play horror games before to try and ruffle his feathers but nothing has worked.
All except one game.
Bioshock.
The doctor jumpscare came out of nowhere right as his camera died.
Chat is still fuming over the fact that they can’t prove it was him screaming.
Tumblr media
Lots of “Just Chatting” streams. Nothing makes him happier than chatting to his fans.
Also tones of workout streams where he encourages chat to join in.
Chat says he's doing all the work for them before going back to watching him working out.
So many fangirls and fanboys.
Super Smash Bros.
Do I need to explain?
He always plays as either Donkey Kong or King K. Rool.
Does a lot of collaborations with Bakugo, Denki and Sero and the occasional stream with Mina.
Last time he streamed with Mina they played Just Dance and Mina did his makeup.
He thought he looked super manly. Chat agreed.
Tumblr media
Variety streamer. Nothing is off limits. Horror: check. Dating sims: check. Open world adventure: check. “Cute” games: check.
If chat recommends a game, Denki will play it.
Oh God. The Phasmophobia collab with Mina, Sero, and Kiri was so chaotic. Chat was screeching.
Denki died within the first minute and spent the rest of the game making fun of what his friends were doing.
The others laughed at the way his character’s body fell for a solid five minutes.
His favorite game is probably Minecraft though. The “Hero Server” has most of the kids in the hero course in it and has Dream SMP vibes to it.
Server wide wars have happened before.
Does a lot of vlogs and “out-and-about” streams as well so his fans never know what to expect.
He has a pretty unplanned streaming schedule but streams regularly because he enjoys it.
Denki has dabbled in being a V-tuber as well but prefers live streams since it's less to set up.
Has the most fans in chat who need to "touch grass" but honestly, so does Denki so it's all chill.
Tumblr media
A more laid back streamer unless he’s playing with any of the Bakusquad. That it’s all cards on the table, no limits.
Plays Mario Kart a lot.
Lots of Minecraft too.
Mines predominantly but everyone on the server and I'm chat looks forward to when he builds things.
So much detail in whatever he builds and the designs are usually pretty unique.
Chat is pretty chaotic but has it’s days when it’s calm.
Has streamed with Jiro before and the two sing together.
Chat never realized that Sero could sing before and now they pester him to sing all the time.
Tumblr media
Very chill streams. You thought Sero’s streams were laid back? You’re right but they’re also chaotic. Shinso’s streams are ones you could fall asleep to.
And that’s kind of the point.
Chat always compliments Shinso’s voice and on more than one occasion people have told him that his voice has put them to sleep.
Soft music. Candles. Blankets. Cats that he snuck in without anyone Aizawa noticing. The whole deal.
When he does other things it's always something lowkey. Animal Crossing is a favourite just because of the chill vibes.
Shinso also dabbles in first person shooters like Valorant but those streams are rare.
Occasionally streams with Midoriya.

Me and some friends were coming up with headcanons for the types of games the Hades characters play
Hades plays old boomer games like Warcraft Classic and Runescape
Hypnos plays idle games like cookie clicker so he can just turn them on and go to sleep. He also plays pokemon with Zagreus who thinks all the animals are real and asks Persephone like “Hello mother, have you ever seen a bulbasaur?” and shes too nice to tell him the truth so shes like “No but I’m sure they’re out there somewhere :’)”
Thanatos plays runescape with Hades, and will participate in family game night (which never goes well) but nothing else
Zagreus plays fortnite with Hermes who plays on his phone (AND THEY LOOOOVES THE CHUG JUG SONG), hentai games, and Wii Sports Resort (he never loses at bowling or tennis)
Nyx plays solitaire with her mind
Charon LOVES monopoly (and is the reason why family game night doesnt go well-- aggressive ass mfer) and also installs shitty exe games onto zagreus’s computer to mine bitcoin
Meg plays Ring Fit Adventure. and Wii Sports Resort but only to dunk on Zagreus. Tisiphone is really good at stealth games. Alecto would play anything but she’s banned from gaming because she’ll break the controller, the console AND the television.
Skelly invented Charades. And Plays Hoop N’ Stick. With Demeter. :)
Theseus doesn’t play video games BUT he does play TTRPGs and LARPs... and LEGOs.
Dusa plays FGO and iphone games because she can just have the snakes smack their little noses into the phone
Achilles plays Fire Emblem games because he can be bisexual smile (hes an FE purist though), and Castlevania. Patroclus plays FE with him but only to mock Achilles’s gameplay.
Orpheus doesn’t understand video games, he’s just the one fucking “Are ya winnin son?” meme @ Eurydice.
Persephone only plays farming games like Stardew Valley. But she also runs a minecraft server for her, Eurydice and Zagreus. Orpheus played with them, but he fell into lava ONCE screamed desperately for his wifes help who was too busy laughing at him and then never played again. Now Zagreus is the one that always falls into lava. (He calls for his mom but she cant save him sadly..... and its kinda funny-)
Artemis has a wii but only to play Link’s Crossbow Training. And Duck Hunt.
Athena plays Jenga. And Mario. and Classic RTS’s like Starcraft
Ares just says weird shit like “Oh I love the game of glorious bloodshed... War...”
Zeus and Poseidon also play old as balls games like Galaga.
Dionysus is too sexy and fucks too much to be a gamer.
Aphrodite doesn’t play video games. She plays with peoples emotions.
Sisyphus isn’t allowed to play games its part of his torment.
“Cerberus uh. Is a dog.”

idk it’s no secret that like mmos and related games are carefully and methodically engineered to make you spend as many hours as possible and maximise the chance you’ll pay microtransactions. the mystery is what compels me and other people to play them, despite knowing that about these games, despite knowing there are a thousand other things we could be doing that make more of a difference to our lives than what essentially amounts to how big the numbers are that the computer shows us
i remember when people made games like ‘cookie clicker’ as a joke which is literally nothing but making a number go up increasingly fast, and then it expanded into like a whole genre. and people look askance at those minecraft servers where you just click on rocks and buy extravagent titles. but a game like warframe is no different. it’s still exactly the same space ninja game if you’re fighting level 30 grineer as if you’re fighting level 150 grineer, you just need to spend more time to make your numbers big enough to match their numbers. i’d say i play it for the story but like, while i do think the story has some interest and the art direction is often very cool, no story is worth that amount of repetitive bullshit.
which I knew. i went into it knowing that. i got back into the game knowing exactly how much time it takes, and I didn’t stop myself from doing stupid shit like grinding for maiming strike all night (no luck either!). like literally what difference does it make to anything ever if my account has a database entry saying i have access to this thing or that.
what would it look like if we used this amazing computer technology for a purpose other than exploiting our psychological quirks for the sake of capital accumulation? and i guess the ironic thing is that there are games that offer a genuinely compelling emotional experience, that don’t deliberately waste your time, that get to the point and tell a good story or give you a genuinely interesting system to play with without obfuscation, but the automatic consequence of that is that if you’re even slightly susceptible, you spend much more time playing the games that pointlessly pad things out.
it’s hard to define what’s like, ‘fulfilling videogame time’ vs ‘exploitative videogame time’, so it’s not really possible to calculate how much electricity etc. is consumed by bored people doing repetitive tasks to unlock shit in videogames, but i do wonder
anyway this is not what i want to be spending my life doing. but here i am, doing it. again. is it just like, being lonely and isolated? when i’m with my partners and friends, i don’t do this shit. and that’s partly because i have a laptop not my desktop most times, but partly because, guess what, spending time with people you care about is actually better in every way than grinding in a computer game!
anyway like. everyone who saw this point coming miles away such as @drc4ble and @lethargyspecialist, obviously you were right, i knew you were right. idk what to say even.
