How about the reader finding and taking an itty bitty kitten that was orphaned and Arthur's real grumpy about it at first but then she finds him asleep on the couch with the kitten curled up on his chest and he's got a hand over it protectively or something. “No.” Arthur growls, voice stern, resolve set. Your eyes are as big as dinner plates as you continue pleading and begging. Your lip juts out, even, testing his patience, shaking his resolve. Arthur is notoriously bad at telling you no. When you’d asked for a second baby, he’d willingly agreed. When you’d asked for the house, and the farm, he’d made it happen for you. But this?

“Please, Arthur… Where else is he supposed to go?” You whisper so as not to wake the baby, sleeping soundly in her bassinet.

“I don’t give a damn. Not here.” Arthur grumbles, placing his tools from work on the table. You follow him around the kitchen like a shadow as he opens and closes cupboards and drawers, putting away all his items from the day.

Arthur is pointedly trying not to look at the little black ball of fur nestled in your arms. He’s afraid that if he catches a glimpse of those big, sad eyes, he’ll agree with you, and he’ll have an extra mouth to feed.

“Where’d you find it, anyways?” Arthur says, turning, sighing as you push the teeny kitten up towards his face, holding it under its little armpits.

“I found him stranded on the road back from the market. Look at him, Arthur. He’s not well. We’ll have to feed him.” You plead. Arthur’s fingers pinch the bridge of his nose as he stops and turns around. You nearly run into his back, stopping just in time.

Arthur gets a good glimpse at the little feller then. He’s just a little cat, probably only a few months old. He’s far too skinny, and his jet black coat is ruffled and dirty from the elements. You hold the cat out to show Arthur, and then he sees the little, white, crescent-shaped mark that adorns his forehead, right between his blue eyes. Arthur releases the bridge of his nose, sighing grumpily. When his eyes crack open, and he sees your pleading face, perfectly matching the cat’s expression, he gives up.

“Goddammit, fine. Jus’ throw him in the spare room, n’ I’ll find him some fish or somethin’.” Arthur says, rather dramatically, in your opinion. You hold the kitten close to your chest, your spare arm wrapping around the man’s neck.

“Oh, thank you, Arthur!!” You smile, kissing him quickly before popping down from your tiptoes.

“Yeah, well don’t get all cheery just yet. We’re tossin’ him back out in the snow as soon as he’s good and healthy.”

The rocking chair swings back and forth quietly. Your hand gently taps your daughter’s back, and you hum quietly. She’d woken you and Arthur up in a fit, hungry, raising her little fists into the air and giving you both hell. But now, her little belly is full, and a peaceful silence has fallen over the house once more. The moonlight streaking through the windows tells you that it’s early morning, and you sigh at another night’s lack of sleep.

“Easy, baby.” You whisper, quietly and slowly standing from the rocking chair, swaying her in your arms until you reach her bassinet.

“Good night, my sweet girl.” You whisper sweetly, pressing a kiss to her little forehead, brushing some peach fuzz out of her face.

You push the nursery door open quietly, eager to find your place next to Arthur in bed again. But a few steps down the hall, you stop in your tracks, a familiar voice coming from the living room.

“Yeah, well you’re a right bastard, y’know that?” Arthur whispers, and you suppress a laugh, peeking around the corner.

Arthur is sitting on the couch, feet propped up on the coffee table. Laying on his chest, nuzzled against his thick arm, is the little kitten. He purrs loudly, eyes closed, awfully content in your husband’s arms. Your heart melts in its cavern at the sight, and you watch the scene play out with bright eyes.

“The lady is puttin’ the lil’ one back to bed, I figure I might as well do somethin’. So, make no mistakes, partner. We ain’t friends.” He whispers to the kitten, but contrary to his harsh words, Arthur’s finger scratches gently behind the kitten’s ear, pulling deep rumbles and purrs from the little animal. A few moments go by with Arthur’s hand resting protectively on the little cat.

“Y’know, you are kinda cute… But don’t tell the missus I said that. I don’t want her thinkin’ I’ve gone soft.”

You suppress a chuckle.

“I reckon we should call you Moon… cause you got a little one right between them big eyes.” Arthur hums, eyelids growing heavy the longer he rests on the couch. You clear your throat gently, making him aware of your presence before stepping into the living room.

“Didn’t see you there.” Arthur says, sitting straight on the couch, cheeks tinted pink.

“She’s asleep.” You smile, “I see you’re making friends.”

Arthur exhales sharply, a huff of a laugh, “Me and the cat? Nah, he uh– he wouldn’t stop hollerin’ so I tried holdin’ him.” Arthur excuses, hand still wrapped protectively around the sleeping animal.

“Right.” You raise an eyebrow, “You comin’ back to bed, then?”

Arthur hesitates, looking up at you, then down to Moon.

“I’ll be in shortly, sweetheart. Just gonna stay out here a little longer with him so he doesn’t go wakin’ you or the kids up.”

You smirk, “Alright then, Arthur.”

A kiss is planted to his lips before you head to the bedroom, and he sinks back down on the couch with Moon tucked into his arm.

Five minutes turn to ten, and ten to thirty. And when you wake up to start breakfast, your husband is still cuddled up on the couch. Snores fall from his lips, matching the time of little content purrs coming from Moon, sleeping in a little ball right on Arthur’s chest. So much for not giving a damn. You chuckle to yourself.

For the birthday celebration (HAPPY BIRTHDAY BTW!!!!): 🌲 + X-Men fandom, Indiana Jones fandom, and Star Wars fandom (male character preference) + I’m a 30 year old queer woman (she/they) who is Graysexual and Biromantic. I’m 5’1” with a peaches and cream complexion, dark green eyes (tho my right eye has a blue film over it due to blindness), long dark brown hair, and an almost hourglass figure. I’m a Hufflepuff! I’m compassionate, stubborn, get frustrated easily, silly, happy, cute, passionate, have OCD, Dyscalculia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and I’m Autistic. I studied general studies in school (I switched majors a few times). I’m ethnically an Ashkenazi Jew and was raised both religiously Roman Catholic and Jewish. I am trying to be more religiously Jewish. I love animals a lot. I love reading (especially history, romance, myths/lore, anything about Judaism/being Jewish, and fiction), botany, space, cats, my faith, playing games, dancing, singing, traveling, and naps. Every time you would get overstimulated or frustrated he would just wrap his arms around and hold you rubbing your arm or sides for as long as you need

He never fails to smile whenever you did the most simple thing to help others even when you didn't have to but still did

He always shows how much he cares for and loves you when you belittle yourself always interrupting before you can finish what you were saying and holding your shoulders giving you the most breathtaking kiss in your life making you fall in love again and again

He always does little dances to make you laugh in between the crazy adventures the two of you go on across the world for the next historical story

He can tell when you are getting frustrated or overwhelmed so no matter where the two of you are on your journey he will take you to a place he knows that will make you calm and happy whether it's a flower garden in the Netherlands,small rabbit farm in Scotland,or a local cafe in France

Anytime he hears you try to talk bad about yourself he either puts his hand on your mouth with a certain look on his face or kisses you telling you in between each kiss how much you mean to him

He has met quite a few different people of many races,religions,and sexualities and he had a few friends who were Jewish and would always try to follow the traditions and what not to do under the religion

Anytime you're overstimulated he always puts headphones with your favorite songs on a walkman for you to listen to until you feel calm

He can never not look at your body no matter what you're wearing and how many times he's seen your curves and every mark on your body

He always smiles when he looks in your eyes especially in the orange sunlight making it seem like your eyes were the clear ocean water in Puerto Rico with the white foam flowing on shore

do you have any drawing advices? like things you wish people told you when you were starting etc

I am perhaps not the best person to ask about good art, nevertheless I am flattered! And not going to lie, I automatically think every ask is from a bot so it has taken me a while to reply, sorry!

Disclaimer in that I am still learning and improving every day, and I‘ve been drawing and doodling alone since a fetus so really I can only speak from my experience without any professional guidance or education in the subject, here are a few immediate thoughts;

- dont be afraid to go darker when using sharp pencil. be bold.

- anatomy is always useful to know when drawing animals/people - it‘s completely okay to use references, copying and interpreting help you learn. If digitally drawing, you may want to rough sketch first or use shaped, though this can be harder with traditional sketching.

- Draw for your own enjoyment or catharsis, seeking to please, forcing inspiration, or only doing so for monetisation sucks the joy?

- Doodle often without a finished image in mind

- Try not to compare your works to others, especially to artists younger than yourself. I once visited a Van Gogh exhibition and didn‘t paint for months afterwards because I know I will never be that good. It‘s not worth the artist block. If you do compare, focus on feelings of admiration and inspiration instead.

- It‘s easy to feel lost if you don‘t have your own ‚style‘ - it‘s not necessary to have, but maybe you will develop one through experimenting and it will come naturally.

- Don‘t feel put off if drawing even something small takes you a long time, or chastise yourself for procrastination. Most of my paintings are unfinished and most of my drawings are doodles because I lose interest quickly and have inspiration for something else.

- Negative space and colour theory is helpful? Though I learned these things on my own by practicing instead of reading because I find that boring. Bonus tip I thought helped me: shadows are often cool shades on a warm object! Not just a darker version of the same colour. Eg. Peach-coloured face with cool blue shading.

- unique perspectives and dynamic poses (even when your character is simply standing like contrapposto) can improve drawings drastically! May be my own bias talking, but sketching greco-roman statues helps so much with posing and anatomy.

And also a valuable question I learned very recently: when creating a portrait, are you drawing the figure as a subject or an object? —> this video has nothing to do with art but in fact it is talked about in depth when analysing Portrait of a Lady on Fire: https://youtu.be/3LcV2HmZUfY (around the 5-6 minute mark)

LASTLY, no art is bad art. If you are hesitant on posting or sharing, post it anyway, as someone out there will find meaning and beauty in it even if it is not your own view. You created something out of nothing, that in itself is to be proud of.

Oh my goddddd Roman peaches and mark. Just. What are they doing? Are they breaking all the quarantine rules like I imagine? Has she murdered them yet for how childish they get when bored? Or anything about them. Please 🥺

Giiiiiirl they are a mess, let me tell you. ( I’m half asleep so this may also be a mess but let’s goooo)

Mark and Peaches moved into Roman’s place for the quarantine. It seemed like a good idea at first considering he was the only one with a pool and enough spare rooms for everyone to have their own space when they needed it but it still wasn’t enough to keep them from going crazy.

The 3 of them were trapped in the house and going nuts.

Roman had the privilege of locking himself in his office for a few hours a day. The white tower was still open and all employees were ordered to come into work but Roman didn’t want to risk going in himself so he ran everything from home.

From what peaches overheard while passing his office on her way to the pool, it sounded like Roman was trying to create a vaccine.

I also feel like while normally Roman is the most wreckless of the bunch, he’s also a huge germaphobe so he’s the only one really strict about obeying social distancing instructions.

He warns both Mark and Peached that if they leave, there’s no way he’s letting them back in.

This drives the pair of them insane, of course.

Peaches was totally fine for the first 2 weeks. She planned for it, she expected it and was mentally fully equipped for it but as the date for things going back to normal got pushed further and further back, she slowly began to loose it.

She missed going out and seeing her friends and he’ll, even working!

Her work was closed until further notice so she had absolutely nothing productive to do.

By this point, she had watched everything she wanted to, read all the books on her list and she couldn’t even go home to do some decluttering or mass cleaning.

Had it not been for Roman aka mr. super strict, she would’ve definitely broken the rules and gone to her friends house but now she just had to settle for Houseparty and FaceTime.

Mark, who was also temporarily out of work, was also going kinda crazy. All he wanted was to go to the bar with his friends or hit up a party, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. He got so bored he started reading a bunch of Covid conspiracy theories and has spent the last 3 tats trying to convince peaches and Roman that it’s really just the government’s way of solving overpopulation by taking out the old and unhealthy.

Closer to when this all started, he and peaches would do a bunch of dumb childish shit but that quick let got old.

For example, they spent hundreds of dollars on nerf guns and accessories and ran around the house trying to shoot eachother but Roman banned it when he unexpectedly came out of the office and got shot in the face.

The 3 had also been bickering like crazy which, let’s be real, was no surprise to any of them.

The only plus side is how much sex they’ve been having. Roman gets very jealous while he’s working because he can hear her and mark from his office so he’s very possessive of her during the nights, prompting her to tell them they need to SHARE. They both ignore her though.

Peaches also takes advantage of all the time they’re spending together by pressuring them more and more to experiment amongst eachother. We all know she LOVES it when they as much as touch so during this time she’s set her sights on trying to get them to make out. She hasn’t been successful, but that hasn’t stopped her from suggesting it.

Would you like it if the whole world spoke one language? I mean, I think it's pretty inarguable that that would be a beneficial thing. For all humans to understand each other, like in dire situations where information needs to be brought across. However, I don't believe we should actually try to change that now with so many languages already developed. That would be way, way too big a task and not that important. Would mind-reading really be a blessing or a curse? I'd find it more to be a curse. Would you ever get a pet turtle? Why or why not? Nah. They just don't interest me as pets. I didn't care for those. How do you feel about fake plants? They can look good, they can look tacky, and they make great additions to some animal enclosures, like reptiles and bugs, for cover and new textures. Tongue, if it just didn't damage my damn teeth. :( I miss my snake eyes. Ever peed in your pants after the age of 10? It's very embarrassing, but yes. A few years ago, I had this very strange period of premature incontinence when I slept. I had to be put on some medication and a schedule to wake up in the night to use the bathroom. It oddly just... vanished as randomly as it started. Had any surgeries? What kind? I had tubes put in my ears as a baby, and then at the start of 2017 (I think), I had to have a cyst removed from my butt. :^) Ever told your parents you hated them? I've told Dad that, yes.
