Hi! Here's some more Bowuigi as Bluey because I love them skjdksjd
It's from that one episode that makes me feel like crying when I watch it 😔 I hope you know the one ajskda Where it shows the mom hugging Bingo on her bed, and the dad is sleeping on the floor in his own room.
Also yeah Junior was crying in his sleep and that's why Bowser went to lay with him :'v
ALSO yeah Bowser's the sun and Luigi's the moon and the koopalings are all planets :''v
There's always something about this ending in the film that gets me choked up whenever I rewatch it.
Just seeing the two brothers together as they jump around the platforms in their new home in the Mushroom kingdom, laughing, goofing off, and having a good time.
Then, in the very last shot, we see them jump into the warp pipe, waving back to the other Toads, and then they seemingly look back directly at us, the audience, almost as if they're saying "Thanks for watching the movie, we'll see ya soon", that sort of thing as they disappear.
It's makes it more emotional since it's the very last shot we see before the title card comes up, and it gets me EVERY, DAMN, TIME.
I guess I miss them too much at this point 😢
That and I'm never going to hear Mr. Blue Sky the same way ever again after watching this film. XD
Okay, but imagine the gutpunch it is when Mario stumbles across his own brother's unfulfilled wish on Star Hill. How Mario is thinking, but you already help me so much, what more could you want while knowing deep down what his brother is getting at. And the selfish part of Mario wants to beg Geno to not grant this wish when the time comes, after they've defeated Smithy and restored the Star Road. Because if Luigi gets what he wants, he'll be in danger and Mario wants his little brother, above all, to be safe - damn all the other consequences.
I want to help my brother.
But that's not what his brother meant, was it?
I want to be a hero - like my brother. I want to be important - like my brother.
I want to be loved - like my brother.
"Is everything alright, Mario?" Geno asks, placing an awkward hand on his shoulder.
"I - " Mario stammers, taking off his hat, worrying at the brim with calloused, dirty fingers. But you're already loved, Weeg. Isn't that enough? "Yeah, I'm fine. We should get going," he says, giving one last despondent look at the little smiling star before slamming his cap back on his head, running his shirtsleeve across his nose with a cut-off sniffle.
Princess Daisy's capabilities as a ruler being disregarded because she's loud, hotheaded and emotional, leading her to be perceived by many as immature and impulsive.
Luigi's capabilities as a hero being disregarded because he's awkward, nervous and emotional, leading him to be perceived by many as weak and pathetic.
Both of them recognizing the value inherent in each other's feelings while simultaneously seeing the strength and potential in one another that they are unable to see in themselves.
Do you feel me?
So after drawing Peach's "Come Back" skill, I've been thinking about it a lot. And I realized something. You know that cute little noise the Come Back star makes as it comes down?
It's A CANON SOUND for what Geno's star language might sound like:
(sound on 😉)
BAM. STARSPEAK. THAT'S STARSPEAK. It has to be. 🤩
I wonder what it's saying. Probably something very supportive and polite. Please translate for us, Geno?
(Committed nerd storytime: last fall I went and found that old Mario Music game to see if there was a reasonably in-world audio translation of “♡♪!?” via the icons it uses for instruments. Because that is the kind of person that I am. No dice - but I think this headcanon will tide me over for a while.)
I wonder if the "Mario Does Things" series getting rebranded to "SMG4 Crew" means we'll get episodes staring another character instead of Mario, rather than just the usual format where somebody joins him.
