Conosco Alberto Arlunno da tempo, e di lui apprezzo la sua cultura classica, la capacità di trasferirla con eccellenza nei suoi prodotti e la sapiente maestria nel rendere il suo nebbiolo in una delle migliori eccellenze piemontesi, è sempre affascinante conversare con Alberto, che sa trasmettere questa passione e conoscenza come solo pochi sanno fare

Alberto Arlunno è nato a Ghemme nel maggio 1953. Dopo la maturità classica si è laureato in Scienze Agrarie all’Università degli Studi di Torino e ha successivamente conseguito la specializzazione in viticoltura ed enologia.

E’ appassionato di archeologia e di storia della vite e del vino, specie dell’area del Ghemme dove, da oltre due millenni si “respira” Nebbiolo. I suoi vini hanno perciò nomi latini.

L’azienda Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo, di Alberto Arlunno, punta da anni a valorizzare al meglio il Nebbiolo, considerandolo un vitigno di eccellenza. Il Ghemme di Arlunno è ottenuto vinificando separatamente le uve coltivate nei vari vigneti.

Il Ghemme, vino amato da Francesco Sforza, è legato a cerimoniali natalizi dell’Ottocento e del Quattrocento L’azienda Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo, di Alberto Arlunno, punta da anni a valorizzare al meglio il Nebbiolo, considerandolo un vitigno di eccellenza. Il Ghemme di Arlunno è ottenuto vinificando separatamente le uve coltivate nei vari vigneti.

Le radici degli Arlunno sono molto ben radicate a Ghemme: almeno dal Cinquecento. Grazie alla strategia lungimirante del padre di Alberto furono acquistate due o tre colline, che sono considerate oggi tra le più vocate dell’intero panorama piemontese, il cru Braclema e Carella, che essendo un po’ lontani dal centro abitato erano stati i primi ad essere abbandonati. Ora la cantina Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo (www.cantalupo.net) può contare su trentacinque ettari vitati, un patrimonio importante, che Alberto,  mantiene in ordine come si trattasse di un vero e proprio giardino. Si utilizza quasi esclusivamente rovere di Slavonia, fatta eccezione per il Ghemme Signore di Bayard, affinato in legni francesi.

la sua preparazione scientifica fa davvero la differenza quando si  parla di varietà dei suoli e di differenze tra le due celebri Docg del nord Piemonte: Ghemme e Gattinara:  quando il continente africano si scontrò con quello europeo, circa 300 milioni di anni fa, si innalzarono le Alpi e proprio vicino al borgo di Balmuccia (a pochi chilometri da Ghemme) passa la linea insubrica, dove i due continenti si sono incontrati. Qui si sono mischiati i suoli africani con quelli europei. Poi in seguito alle glaciazioni e grazie al Monte Rosa parte del terreno è sceso a valle. Così nascono le colline di Ghemme, formate da miliardi di ciottoli levigati e ricchissimi di minerali di origine africana ed europea.  Mentre nel caso di Gattinara la formazione del suolo è vulcanica. Nascono così due vini differenti: il Ghemme è più elegante con  caratteristiche che potremmo definire borgognone, mentre il Gattinara è un rosso austero e possente»: in uno critto di Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour che risale al 1845 cita: “Cotesto vino possiede in alto grado quello che fa il pregio dei vini di Francia e manca generalmente ai nostrani: il bouquet, somiglia al bouquet del Borgogna il quale per certe varietà prelibate come il Clos di Vougeot ed il Romanet gode la primizia su tutti i vini di Francia. Or dunque rimane provato che le colline del Novarese possono gareggiare coi colli della Borgogna; e che a trionfare nella lotta è solo necessario proprietari che diligentino la fabbricazione dei vini, e ricchi ed eleganti ghiottoni che ne stabiliscano la riputazione. Vorrei sinceramente poter cooperare a questa crociata enologica.

Alberto, produce grandi vini rossi eleganti, ma anche rosé ottenuti dalla fermentazione delle uve nebbiolo per poche ore come il Mimo, che oggi è conosciuto anche oltreoceano.

La  il cuore pulsante dell’azienda, è la suggestiva cantina completamente interrata. Un teatro di invecchiamento che si estende su 1.200 metri quadrati. Un’area che segue, con i suoi gradoni, l’andamento ascendente della collina sovrastante e consente l’imponente visione delle botti di affinamento.

Sotto il primo gradone giace l’infernotto, luogo buio, di profonda quiete con uno stretto corridoio su cui si affacciano le celle che ospitano per qualche anno il riposo in bottiglia dei Ghemme.

Virtuelles Vaginamuseum: Warum wir das weibliche Geschlecht neu betrachten müssen

Alles Vulva! In Österreich gibt es das erste und wahrscheinlich auch einzige Museum, das sich künstlerisch ausschließlich dem weiblichen Geschlecht widmet. Ebenso vielseitig, wie die kreative Namensgebung für den Genitalbereich der Frau – die Liste reicht von Vulva, Mumu, Pussy, Patuschka, Yoni, Scheide über Vagina – sind auch die hier gezeigten, zeitgenössischen Interpretationen. Während das männliche Glied in der Kunst schon lange fest etabliert ist, verhielt man(n) wie frau sich bei Darstellungen des weiblichen Geschlechts immer eher zurückhaltend bis es mit zunehmendem Einfluss der Kirche ganz aus der bildenden Kunst verschwand. Neben der medialen Degradierung zum pornografischen Sinnbild gibt es bis heute leider noch immer wenig Raum für eine sentimentalere Wahrnehmung. Im Zuge der sexuellen Revolution der Frau sieht sich jedoch auch dieses Phänomen mit einer wachsenden Gegenbewegung konfrontiert. Denn immer mehr Künstler/innen machen die weibliche Geschlechtlichkeit zum Gegenstand ihrer kreativen Arbeit.

Gerade gab die schwedische Sängerin Lykke Li auf Instagram ihr neuestes Projekt Liv bekannt,eine gemeinschaftliche Zusammenarbeit mit Andrew Wyatt (Sänger der Band Miike Snow). Das Cover zum ersten Song „Wings of Love“ ziert eine Vulva ähnliche Darstellung einer Frucht in den Farben Lila und Pink, die Raum für eindeutige Spekulationen lässt. Die Schwedin, die vor einem halben Jahr Mutter geworden ist, befasst sich nicht erst seitdem mit ihrer weiblichen Identität und scheut sich auch nicht, öffentlich für diese einzustehen. In Österreich hat sich eine nicht minder starke Künstlerin sehr viel ausführlicher an die Thematik gewagt und zu Gunsten des weiblichen Geschlechts gleich ein ganzes Museum ins Leben gerufen.

Dabei handelt es sich beim VAGINAMUSEUM.at um keine real begehbare Örtlichkeit, sondern um ein virtuelles Kunstprojekt. Trotz seines kulturellen Wertes als Aufklärungsplattform polarisierte Kerstin Rajnar, die selbst unter dem Pseudonym frau mag rosa pink (ein Persiflage aus: die Frau, die Rosa und Pink mag, aber auch eine Magistra ist) agiert, damit von der ersten Sekunde an. Kein Wunder, denn sie greift ein gesellschaftlich lang totgeschwiegenes Tabuthema auf und gibt dieses öffentlich zur Diskussion frei. Da, wo bis dato Unsicherheit und Scham ihren Platz hatten, versucht sie stattdessen Verständnis zu manifestieren und bricht so aus dem reinen Kunstdiskurs aus. So schwierig die Notwendigkeit einer solchen Plattform seitens der Öffentlichkeit nachzuvollziehen sein mag, so überfällig ist sie. Denn das weibliche Geschlecht ist in der Gesellschaft nach wie vor nicht positiv integriert.

WARUM BEHARREN WIR NOCH IMMER AUF NAMEN WIE „SCHAMLIPPEN“, WO DOCH „VENUSHÜGEL“ UND „VENUSLIPPEN“ SOVIEL SCHÖNER KLINGEN?

Doch warum ist die öffentliche Darstellung intimer Weiblichkeit in einer emanzipierten Gesellschaft nach wie vor so schambesetzt? Kerstin Rajnar hat ihre Antwort in den Traditionen der Vergangenheit gefunden: „In der prähistorischen Zeit repräsentierte die Vulva noch die Kraft der Frau als Lebensspenderin und wurde entsprechend geachtet. Im Mittelalter änderte sich das, unter anderem auch bedingt durch die Kirche. Die Frau wurde als dem Mann unterlegen angesehen und galt als Inbegriff der Sünde. Auch ihre öffentliche Darstellung veränderte sich. An Kirchen konnte man sogenannte Vulva weisende Figuren sehen, die die Menschen vom Irrglauben abhalten und die Gefährlichkeit der Frau aufzeigen sollten. Im barocken Zeitalter galt die Frau dann als erotisches Objekt der Begierde und diente der Schaulust des Mannes. Diese Schaulust hat sich bis in die Gegenwart fortgesetzt und unter dem Begriff „Pornografie“ oder „Sex Sells“ in den Medien Einzug gehalten. Die christlichen Wertvorstellungen, verzerrt dargestellte Sexualität in Pornokultur und Medien, aber auch schambesetzte Begrifflichkeiten prägen unser Unterbewusstsein und bewerten somit das weibliche Geschlecht negativ, was wiederum Angst erzeugt. Diese Angst wird in unterschwelliger Aggression und Schamhaftigkeit zum Ausdruck gebracht.“

Und tatsächlich spiegelt sich diese bis heute selbst in der Bezeichnung des weiblichen Geschlechts wieder. Oder warum beharren wir sonst noch immer auf Namen wie „Schamlippen“ oder die „Scham“, wo doch „Venushügel“ und „Venuslippen“ soviel schöner klingen? Anstatt das weibliche Geschlecht als Leben schenkendes, positiv behaftetes Organ zu sehen, wird es – wenn es denn öffentlich thematisiert wird – entweder pornografisiert oder mit längst überholten, kulturellen Riten, wie der Beschneidung junger Mädchen, in Verbindung gebracht.

Kerstins Museum sieht sich als informative und kulturelle Bildungsplattform deswegen auch als Versuch, das weibliche Geschlecht aus dem Schatten dieser einseitigen Wahrnehmung zu erheben. Die für Menschen jeden Alters, Geschlechts und sozialer wie ethnischer Herkunft zugänglich gemachten Inhalte sollen zum Nachdenken und zur wertfreien Auseinandersetzung anregen. Bis heute hat keine andere kulturelle Einrichtung weltweit versucht, intime Weiblichkeit fernab von Genres wie Aktmalerei oder erotischer Fotografie in diesem Ausmaß sichtbar zu machen. Arbeiten wie The Great Wall of Vagina von Bildhauer Jamie McCartney, für die er die Vulven von rund 400 Frauen in Gips abdrucken ließ oder Anish Kapoors überdimensionierte Skulptur aus verrostetem Stahl, queen’s vagina, bilden dabei eher die Ausnahme. Der Mangel an kulturell wie künstlerisch relevanteren Auseinandersetzungen mit der Thematik gab Kerstin schließlich den entscheidenden Impuls, die Dinge selbst in die Hand zu nehmen. „Angst, Scheu, Scham und Belustigung sind oft erkennbare Merkmale, wenn es um das weibliche Geschlecht geht. Indirekt ist dann zu beobachten, wie sich diese Verhaltensweisen auch auf die Persönlichkeit der Frau auswirken. Mir war deswegen wichtig, einen zeitgemäß orts- und zeitungebundenen Raum zu schaffen, wo sich Menschen wertfrei informieren können.“

DIE REALISIERUNG DES MUSEUMS WAR EINE LANGE, SCHWERE UND SCHMERZHAFTE GEBURT, HAT MIR ABER AUCH DIE NOTWENDIGKEIT AUFGEZEIGT, EINE SOLCHE EINRICHTUNG ZU SCHAFFEN.

Wie bereits erwähnt waren die Reaktionen der Öffentlichkeit, insbesondere seitens der Medien, zu Beginn alles andere als positiv. „Ich bin noch vor Projektstart medial angegriffen worden – vor allem in Bezug auf die öffentlichen Förderungen hat sich eine kleine österreichische Boulevardzeitung äußerst negativ geäußert. Das Projekt wurde als dubios, verrückt und sogar wahnsinnig bezeichnet. Glücklicherweise haben sich die negativen Berichterstattungen nach der Eröffnung zum positiven gewandelt. Die Realisierung des Museums war eine lange, schwere und schmerzhafte Geburt, hat mir aber auch die Notwendigkeit aufgezeigt, eine solche Einrichtung zu schaffen. Wäre die Weiblichkeit in unserer Gesellschaft gleichberechtigt, sichtbar und positiv, wäre doch niemals so ein Auflehnen entstanden.“

Eine Neuausrichtung dieser Wahrnehmung ist daher nicht nur in Hinsicht auf die Kunst längst überfällig, sondern auch zugunsten der Verbesserung der Stellung der Frau und der Normalisierung dieser Debatte. „Laut einem Bericht der Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO, ich glaube aus dem Jahr 2013 (Global and regional estimates of violence against women), erleidet weltweit jede dritte Frau körperliche und/oder sexuelle Gewalt, die oft mit schweren psychischen Traumata einhergehen. Durch die öffentlich positive Darstellung des weiblichen Geschlechtes könnte nicht nur die Weiblichkeit an sich wieder positiv sichtbar gemacht werden, sondern vielleicht auch Gewalt aus dem Leben vieler Frauen verbannt werden.“ Um das zu erreichen, ist Kerstin vor allem an der Vernetzung von Kunst und Gesellschaft gelegen. Sie selbst befasst sich in ihrer Arbeit schon lange mit Geschlechterrollen und der suggestiven Wahrnehmung von Weiblichkeit – nicht ohne Grund ist ihr Künstlerinnenname frau mag rosa pink. „Die Farbe Pink ist weich und warm und laut Farbpsychologie die Farbe der Liebe. Nicht zu verwechseln mit der Farbe Rot, der fälschlicherweise oft diese Rolle zugeschrieben wird, denn Rot ist die Farbe der großen Emotionen. Pink ist allerdings auch die umstrittenste Farbe der Gegenwart und wird gerne als billig oder geschmacklos abgetan, und absurderweise dem Weiblichen zugeordnet. 1920 war das noch anders. Laut dem Ladies' Home Journal von 1918 war Rosa, auch als „kleines Rot“ bekannt, die Farbe für Buben, während Blau als passend für Mädchen galt. Der Grund dafür: Rosa ist eine entschlossenere, starke Farbe, während Blau zarter und anmutiger ist.“

Seit 1940 ist das laut der deutschen Schriftstellerin und Sozialwissenschaftlerin Eva Heller anders. Nachdem Arbeiter vermehrt Blau getragen haben und die religiöse Assoziation mit der Jungfrau Maria immer mehr verblasst ist, wird Blau eher dem Männlichen zugeordnet. Das paradoxe ist, dass das gegenwärtig – obwohl noch gar nicht lange her – längst ein Fakt und absolute Verständlichkeit ist. Für uns alle sollte das einmal mehr bedeuten: Geschlechterparadigmen gehören kritisch hinterfragt und ein für allemal aufgebrochen. Und wenn der Weg dahin eine positivere Wahrnehmung des weiblichen Geschlechts ist und die Kunst dazu beitragen kann, das weibliche Geschlecht wieder oder überhaupt salonfähig zu machen, dann leistet das virtuelle VAGINAMUSEUM.at einen ganz entscheidenden Beitrag dazu – denn ihre Onlinepräsenz entscheidet am Ende des Tages auch über ihre Offlinepräsenz.

Sky Syrpents:

Sky Syrpents is a book I'm working on! The main characters are named Magistra Rosa and Launae Magicae.

Magistra's an ancient Roman scientist (who happens to be transgender). She gets some assistance from a bigender time traveler from the future by the name of Launae Magicae (He/she).

Also, Launae has autism and Rosa has ADHD.

The other two major characters are Damon Lightwings and Cyprus the Gladiator.

Damon (he/him) is Launae's childhood friend from the future. He meets Rosa's brother, Cyprus (ry/ryv).
