AITA for trying to take over the future?

Okay so this is kinda I long story, I'm sorry. I know I'm probably TA, but I want to check with more people. I'm not familiar with this whole... tech thing, so please be nice abt that.

I (236F) am a daughter of Medusa. It's a well-known fact, which gets me angry mobs at my door. Several times, I have been beaten and once almost got banished to the underworld!

So then, a person I'll call L (31 ???) showed up in the house of this adorable scholar named R (34 F). He ended up creating some sort of rip in the world itself. I had been watching R and L, because something about L's unfamiliar clothing made me suspicious. I ended up getting pulled into the... future? or so I was told? with R's older brother, C (40M).

In the future, I was promptly beset by an angry mob. C was there, but did nothing to help me. That was the final straw, and I decided that enough was enough. I disguised my lower half, the reason I was labeled a freak, and managed to ascend in power and gain an army of other ousted individuals. They don't care about the fact that I am a daughter of Medusa, and I don't care about the reasons they are ousted. I have been fighting to get us out of the shadows and dismantle those in power. I'm using an in through a man named D (30M). He doesn't know my ultimate goal, and is therefore helping me with my plans.

But now L has returned to his home time, and he brought R with him. It turns out he's close with D, and he revealed my ultimate goal! None of them are very happy with me, and D actually tried to kill me, but I'm sick of being treated like shit! AITA?

Literally cannot emphasize enough that my #1 writing advice is to stop being afraid. Stop being afraid of sounding too cringe, or too stupid, or too horrifying, or too horny, or too weird, or too much, or too little, or too you. You need to put your entire pussy into your art. Sure, it won't be to everyone's tastes, but if you keep yourself to the blandest tamest safest roads possible you will be of no one's tastes, not even yours.
