Kingsley had been tortured, but not necessarily in the way you think? At the very least I think it consistutes as torture.

Forced isolation and repeated over-exertion are the two things that immediately come to mind. The former being "discipline" from his parents, the later being "training" to become stronger.

I think Kingsley, especially freshman year, would torture someone? And I definitely can see that being challenged though when he starts being surrounded by people who challenge his upbringing.

OKAY STRAP IN. THIS ONE IS A DOOZY.

So let me give you so much needed context. René's father, Aldrich Lamar, is an incredibly successful entrepenuer and CEO of a business (TBD) of which he uses his own connections and René's charisma, skills, and magical abilities to further his gains. One such network connection is a business rivalry with the mother of Rémi Delune (the white swan expy). They are constantly putting their children in questionable circumstances, especially where beaucratic bs is involved. So as a child, René was raised to believe the only acceptable version of themself was the version their father created.

As children, Rémi and René assumed that they were friends, as many children do. Except René had been raised to believe they had to lie to both Rémi and their friend Eve (Seigfried expy) about their interests, opinions, hobbies. Basically anything that would allow René to get closer to them regardless of their true feelings. And even if they weren't doing this because their father said so, they really didn't know how else they were supposed to get along with people. But over time... they start to notice that Eve and Rémi are much closer to each other, and not to them, and they start to wonder if its because they arent being truthful, like the other two are. So... they try. They try to be authentic, and its unpracticed, and messy, and honestly off-putting in a lot of ways. And it starts driving them away more than their original demeanor had.

While I haven't sorted out all of the details, essentially, a magical contractual agreement or oath is made involving Rémi and Eve, and out of their failure to understand why they dislike René so much, they discover their UM - Oathbreaker, which can break a magical contract of a spell of equal or lesser value - by shattering the agreement that had been made by the two of them. And as you can guess, this destroys their trust in René and seriously hurts Rémi both physically and emotionally.

I know theres a lot of work I need to do in order to take the idea threads and make them work cohesively here? But this is the sort of rough draft start that I have. So... please be mindful that if it sounds rough around the edges, I'm working on it. 😅

um hi. ik there're a good handful of posts here tht are js ppl asking for help with symptoms they experience and whether it lines up w schizophrenia. weve been trying to figure out whether we have it or not lately. which ik strangers online cant exactly know for sure but i at least want to know whether we r on the right track.

we know for sure we experience psychosis (delusions, namely) and negative symptoms, esp avolition and asociality. others in the system thought we had szpd since they dont think we have [constant/intense] enough psychosis.

i dont rmember when we started experiencing psychosis. teen years i think. weve always been a bit paranoid. trauma didnt help w that lol. anyway. around a year n a half ago our delusions started to get a lot more noticeable and wed have to actively try to double book keep. talked to our psych about some of them and he gave us antipsychotics. we never took them. since we felt we could cope without them fine at the moment and we just didnt want to deal w potential side effects. we alr take so many pills it jst didnt seem worth it. we still have them in case it ever gets to a point where we think well need them tho.

where was i. u,m. right. we just dont know because we dont seem to have episodes the way ppl seem to describe them. we kind of have delusions that never rlly go away n just vary in intensity/noticeability at times. i lost it again. right. sometimes well have delusions that will pop in and never pop back up. or that go away and come back. most of the 'permanent' delusions tend to be identity/species based ones. i also get a lot in connection to parasites. i think i hallucinate more than the others too. at least. i have lots of times where it feels like bugs are crawling on/under/into my skin. ill also hear things. never anything big. if its voices then theyre never distinguishable. these hallucinations kinda come and go. i think. i dont remember. its hard to remember. i think thats all i can say for hallucinations. its difficult. to gauge. i dont know how im supposed to figure it out. i guess i could just talk to a medical professional. i stopped going to therapy early this year bcz it just felt like it wasnt helping. and i havent seen a psychiatrist since late last year. anyway.

i mentioned we have negative symptoms. theyre difficult to deal with. weve also been told we have flat affect. but idk how much that matters to mention here since our other disorders can cause relatively flat affect too. i dont remember the other negative symptoms. i know theres ones i didnt mention. but yea. i dont know if we have disorganized thinking. i dont think its common for us to experience it. but i know we do at times. i think one we tend to do is thought blocking. dont know about the others.

but if anyone has any, advice? i dont know if advice is the right word here. just. if anyone out there is able to lmk if these sound like they might be schizophrenia id appreciate it. or if we might just be psychotic in some other form. ik no one here can diagnose me. id just like some help. im just unsure whether we would have it bcz our symptoms seem really mild compared to what ive seen everyone say in these tags and such. thanks

hi! i dont use any psds, i edit each one from scratch but ive made this psd some years ago kinda in the way i usually edit them. or at least the way i used to. but i dont think i changed a lot maybe i used more brightness but you can adjust that and you would have to ajust it anyway for each screencap.

theres some other psds in the tag if you're interested, like for some screencaps that need more adjustments with the colors etc

anyways on a lore note i cannot deal w people who are vehemently against undead plague. i know plaguebringer doesn’t like them, but i use the undead a lot in my lore for several different purposes, tho they’re no longer considered plagueborn if they were previously. 

the MAIN purpose though is for experimentation concerning diseases found throughout plague and learning how said diseases develop. BUT. to be considered undead in Phrauge specifically, you have to have no remaining soul, consciousness, or sentience.

So, Bawkrya may qualify as undead to other clans due to the situation of his wounds, but he still has his soul/consciousness/sentience/etc etc, it’s just that his wounds are constantly open, and that the mage who put that curse on him purposely kept him “alive” for it. Matvei and Jisa still have those things but are more ghost like. etc.

The Priest is one of several dragons that can really determine if a corpses soul has departed, along with sentience, so they frequent phrauge w it being basically an epicenter on studying health. 

The bodies are treated with the utmost respect, and can be donated to be studied, and theres like. SEVERAL laws concerning the protection of these undead, with magisters who personally guard them and travel with them for studies. 

undead also appear a lot in the family temples as guardians, and it’s typically seen as an honor to protect your family’s temple even after death. the undead are given talismans that stabilize them and basically trap whatever disease they had had within their body, so visiting family doesn’t contract it. the undead may sit and become statue like, depending on how the family situates them.

Before bawkrya (with permission) moved family temples into a graveyard arrangement with proper security, there had been a problem of grave robbing that involved taking these undead to sell them-- it had been busted like. a year prior when bawkrya was given hints that one of the previously official mages had been helping these robbers break talismans to make the undead bodies more “authentic”, so he could pocket some of the change. took a year bc he needed to track down the families and get permission to move them + find a location to house everything + hire trustworthy staff.

a good portion of the recently stolen undead were found too, so they were able to be returned and given their talismans back!

im rewatching criminal minds from the beginning and capping every episode as i go along. ive seen rewatched every cm season at least 3 times, and this blog is mostly to avoid sending my friends the same clips with the same comments every time i watch lol. its just all of my thoughts and ramblings for my favorite moments

im 22 and i try to avoid interacting with/following minors. asks are fine, just no dms. my main is @aarcn​ but this is where everything cm related is. i’m not into x reader fic, especially the explicit stuff, so if you post a lot of that i probably won’t follow you back. and if i unfollow all of a sudden, its probably because of that. nothing personal! i just dont really want to see it.
