Happy Experiment Appreciation Day! 👽
Oh, yes, I'm still going to keep this tradition I established going. The genetic experiments are one of the many unique things of the Lilo & Stitch franchise, and they've been around since the very beginning. Experiments like Chopsuey (X-621) from the PlayStation 2 prequel game, the early version of Reuben (X-625) from the Disney Adventures prequel comics, or... you know, Stitch (X-626) himself.
Here are some fan art of the genetic experiments made in the past year!
Yaarp by @kiwibon – As if the little blowhorn wasn't already cute and fluffy enough, here his cuter and fluffier than ever before!
Zutto Fights by @salty-nebula – Oh, no! Gantu's strike team have all been transmutated by Dr. Hämsterviel! (Well, three of the four actually were in the Stitch! anime's third season, but Hammerface didn't.)
Sparky, Spike, and Yaarp by Kinnachan456 – A trio of this artist's favorite experiments! (Also, lucky Yaarp getting two appearances here!)
Experiment ZBrush renders by @konnestrasketch – (Clockwise from upper-left: Richter, Splodyhead, Gigi, and Finder) Never expected these guys to get 3D renders now did ya?
Clip and Slushy by @blubird513 – Clip hides a devious mind while Slushy gets excited over making a perfect ice cube!
一点实验品 (A Little Experiment) by lether – Shoe enjoying a little four-leaf clover while Bonnie & Clyde raise a toast to crime!
Slugger by mayoooon_626 – He's always happy to play ball! ⚾
#040 - Backhoe, #044 - Forehead, #051 - Hocker by @psychedelic-lemur – This artist's never-ending quest to draw all the experiments continues!
Hoppy Easter by @angoraram – I hope Houdini didn't get startled by the kids for Easter!
Evil Anime Experiments by @crees-a – Ih, even the Stitch! anime's most evil experiments are getting some attention, too!
That's it for this one. There's still plenty more days left this Stitch Week!

Ever since I’d learned the 20th anniversary of Lilo and Stitch was this June, I’d been hoping and praying they’d release another Jumba tsum tsum for the occasion because of course I did. And, GUESS WHAT, they did. He’s in a set with Lilo, Stitch, Nani, Pleakley, and Lilo’s overexposed rag doll and they come in this little box together:
Anyways, it’s exclusive to Disney Japan, but I managed to find an eBay seller who shipped internationally and honestly all the extra and double shifts I pulled at work were totally worth it to be able to buy it because it’s a gem.
I’m really really happy with the release of a new Jumba, and I think this is a detail only I’d notice, but I’m SO HAPPY they included the little floppy ears. Here’s what he looks like compared to original Jumba. He has a softer color scheme, has the little ears, and is a bit fluffier:
Also, unrelated to the obligatory Jumba stuff that’s to expect of a Jumba collector, but I’m also overjoyed they gave us a tsum tsum of NANI. We’ve never seen one of her until this point and I’m so glad she finally got the recognition because she’s a very important member of the family.

Has it really been 20 years since Arti and I sat in that theater in FL, summer of 2002, watching Lilo and Stitch for the first time?
Apparently yes. Happy, happy anniversary to Disney's most unique film, the one that started this big franchise we got hooked on. (Yes, we're 2 days late.) This movie is unlike any other for our family, which shows, I think - since we're adults and to this day are still making fanart and fancanons for it. Thanks for 20 years made richer by this story, @chrissandersart-blog!
ArtistIssues drew Lilo and Stitch (obviously - look at that ACCURACY, did it come out of a Disney storybook OH MY GOSH-) and Doverstar drew Stitch and Ani (pastel and off-kilter to the last)!
Happy 20 years, guys!

Happy 625/Reuben Day! 🥪👽
Our favorite lazy yellow Sandwich Boy has been entertaining Lilo & Stitch fans with his sarcastic wit since he was introduced (as a pudgy teal boy) in prequel comics back before the original film was released. So let's appreciate Gantu's sidekick with some fan art from the past year and today!
Happy 625 Day by m_ssk626 – Have a look at that drip!
Happy Reuben's Day by Olimin – 😉👋 (Update: Woops! I failed to notice that the year on the bottom is 2011, not 2022. Oh well. 🤷♂️)
625 by kurokuma824 – His Easter look from that Tokyo Disneyland event years ago is still adorable!
Reuben on saxophone drawing by Tanuki no Wan – He's an epic sax alien! 😎🎷
the sandwich guy by @psychedelic-lemur – Juggling sandwich ingredients is an artform!
625 Day! by soar072_cartoon – He's always been expressive in his own way!
Happy 625 Day! by @boru78 – This is actually the last frame of a cute little animatic. Check it out over here!
Langue de chat - Peanuts Butter Sand by rina03ria – I would buy this product!
Drawing of Gantu in Reuben's sandwich by LeacEAC1 – He's just messing with you, Gantu! (I hope...)
Grand Celebration Reuben by kurage0404 – Is he some interstellar martial artist or something? 😆
That's it for Reuben Day this year! Of course, you know the big day for the little blue dude comes tomorrow! Keep an eye out for the release of the Lilo & Stitch 20th Anniversary zine tomorrow, June 26 at 6:26 PM EDT! 🌺👽

In case anyone’s wondering why there hasn’t been much art from me this month, it’s largely because I’ve been working on a zine for the 20th anniversary and 6/26 day.
Zine’s dropping at 6:26 tonight so-
