Oh my goodness, can I just say that your writing are just to die for!!✨ I loved the stimming ones of the reader and the turtles and also the autistic reading one with Leo it’s so cute and I’m also autistic and that made me smile so hard! Can I request a headcanon of Leo/Mikey having soft cuddling time with a Fem!reader (but I’m fine with GN reader). Please take your time and keep writing, they’re such a joy to read <3
thank youuuu <333 I’m glad so many people are loving the stim ones! This is going to be fem! but can be read as G/N if you just flip a few words around Y’know?
TW: NONE ITS FLUFF
𝘊𝘜𝘋𝘋𝘓𝘌 𝘛𝘐𝘔𝘌𝘚
Mikey
☼ he loves cuddle time! literally his favorite part of the day
☼ what’s that? you’re sad? CUDDLE TIME IS EARLY BABYYY
☼ you couldn’t pay him to have cuddles with you, only because he won’t take your money
☼ sometimes he just ‘ plops ‘ down on you, I mean you’re his girlfriend! he wants to cuddle :D
☼ It was the chilly month of January, and god did it feel like it in the lair. There was a mutual understanding that movies and cuddles were due, so you and Mikey got a fort put together and threw your laptop in it. Plopping down with your bowl of snacks and a warm drink, the two of you started arguing about what movie to watch. Mikey was insisting on some random hallmark movie and you though Easy A. “ A Christmas Carol is obviously what we should watch! “ you shook your head in disbelief “ Easy A is so much better than any Hallmark movie! it has a actual plot “ you scrolled through the movie selection as you argued. The both of you seemed to almost jump up when you saw ‘ Finding Nemo ‘. Mikey clicked on the movie and you both laid in a comfortable silence, but as the movie progressed you both eventually found comfort in each others arms. You smiled down at him as the movie ended. Mikey was fast asleep, and you were so close to joining him, his calm breathing mixed with the warmth of your fort slowly lulled you to sleep.
LEO
✭ adores cuddling with you
✭ by far his favorite couple activity
✭ Leo absolutely drags you to bed just to cuddle
✭ he’s got you in his grasp, not even the police can make him let go
✭ Honestly you don’t what you were expecting when a blue portal opened up, your boyfriend randomly kidnapped you sometimes. You let out a soft noise when you hit his plush mattress. Leo smiled and immediately tackled you into a hug, peppering kisses on your face. He smiled giddily when you blushed and laughed “ You’re real cute Y’know? some may even say you’re falling for me “ you groaned but failed to hold down your giggles at his subpar jokes. “ guess that makes me a angel “ you hummed and started to kiss his stripes, those crescent moons were some of your favorite things on Leo. He blushed and nuzzled into your cheek with a soft huff. You nabbed a blanket and threw it over you two, it’s soft fabric covering you two as you traced Leo’s shell gently. Your soft breathing filling the room

Actors who have appeared in both "Wuthering Heights" and "A Christmas Carol" adaptations
@faintingheroine
*Leo G. Carroll: Marley’s Ghost in the 1938 Reginald Owen Christmas Carol/Joseph in the 1939 Wuthering Heights
*Patrick Macnee: Edgar in the 1948 British TV Wuthering Heights/Young Marley in the 1951 Alastair Sim Scrooge
*Caroline Langrishe: Isabella in the 1978 BBC Wuthering Heights miniseries/Fred’s wife Janet in the 1984 George C. Scott Christmas Carol
*Cathryn Harrison: Catherine Linton in the 1978 BBC Wuthering Heights miniseries/Fred’s sister-in-law Kate ('the plump sister") in the 1984 George C. Scott Christmas Carol
*Charlotte Riley: Catherine Earnshaw in the 2009 Wuthering Heights miniseries/The Ghost of Christmas Present and Scrooge’s sister Lottie in the 2019 Guy Pearce Christmas Carol miniseries
*Andrew Lincoln: Edgar in the 2009 Wuthering Heights miniseries/Scrooge in the 2020 Old Vic Christmas Carol production shown in cinemas
*Dave Willetts: Heathcliff on the concept album of Bernard J. Taylor’s 1992 Wuthering Heights musical/one of the charity gentlemen in the 2004 Christmas Carol TV musical
Since both of these books are classic works of British literature, I'm honestly surprised that between all the adaptations, there haven't been more overlapping actors.

Ive been perusing off and on. Making observations as I dabble in/do a pulse check on other fandoms. I’m curious. I’m working on energy to get back into reading. It’s been hard, because my mental energy is not in the right headspace for readings. I draw cards and go completely blank. And it’s super frustrating, because it’s not clicking right now. So I’m trying to occupy my brain in the meantime. And I’m sorry I’ve been awful about responding. Soon.
I was reading around the internet on this topic before, and said I would have some feedback. Consider this part 1.
When I look at other fandoms I see the same examples of:
Proof of location via some surrounding item in a social media post (a countertop, a bed frame) and not always posts by the main character, either.
Checking into relationship validity via follows on social media. Sometimes follows of follows….and watching their updates to keep tabs.
Confirmation of location via time that the social media posts are made.
People looking at/for reflections and what they contain.
People emailing/contacting normal folks to verify data when a “sighting” happens. Pretending to be someone or something they’re not bc…well that’s just too much.
Hate accounts that cross-pollinate from one social media platform to another, and are well-known.
The assumption that the females are “bad” for their dudes (ok some might be… but STILL).
Some people who gatekeep data BUT I will say, some fandoms explain (pretty rationally maybe?) WHY they gatekeep and they discuss how they validate their sources. This is interesting.
The threat of doxxing is high on the lists for almost all, in some respect or another.
The assumption that either the actual celebrity OR some of the significant others are on tumblr, and loose association that “proves” it. It’s usually some rando Carol Burnett ear-tug scenario.
In most cases, wild conspiracy theories abound about the love lives, usually in the form of some succubus ingenue…who needs press and persuasion to MAKE IT BIG in the business.
Or this person is dating a racist (hear me out) based on 10 yr old tweets or affiliations dug out of the abyss. Can cite Jakey G, Henry C , Chris E and Ben B as examples where this was brought up. Which is not to say things don’t REEK from the disgusting posts made, but it is absolutely something people look for. Is it more gross that it’s not that hard to find, sometimes? Sad. Gross. Check check.
Or sexuality is ambiguous, which encompasses some part of the discussion. (This happens a LOOOOOOT too). Saw this for years in the Jakey g fandom, and dozens of others.
They always date some random midwesterner 😂😂 apparently the Evan Peters fandom is experiencing this knee-high-by-July uni-CORN bread gf now? Idk.
People automatically assuming a new couple is “endgame” regardless of the rumor starting yesterday or 2 years ago. lol. I’ve seen this seeeeveral times.
Some, not all, have either particular tarot readers- or are asked about frequently.(I find the ones asking about Leo D…I think that guy is who he is. And that’s that. Snooze).
This is barely scratching the surface, considering I’ve not ventured into the Styles and BTS dumpster fires. ✌️
If I’ve forgotten any items, feel free to let me know in the comments.

got any book recs for me? im tryna read something better than YA (don't get judgy im only a teen 🙄)
"my dear anon, this is an excellent question. reading is so important. it educates you and expands your mind. books are important for the mind, heart, and soul. unfortunately, very few young people tend to spent time with books nowadays…."
"of course, i can suggest a list, but a young person like you may not find it appealing. in wise foresight i do not propose ancient books (such as odyssey, iliad, etc.) and only recommend 'newer' books (less than 200 years old) that are closer to your timeline. i should also add that i'm a fan of what people consider 'classic books', i hope this is not deterring for you. the following list is also in no particular order:"
a christmas carol by charles dickens
dracula by bram stoker (please ignore the irony)
fahrenheit 451 by ray Bradbury
the great gatsby by f. scott fitzgerald
little women by louisa may alcott
moby dick by herman Melville
nineteen eighty-four by george orwell
one hundred years of solitude by gabriel garcía márquez
persuasion by jane austen
pride & prejudice by jane austen
the adventures of tom sawyer by mark twain
buddenbrooks by thomas mann
the phantom of the opera by gaston leroux
the strange case of dr. jekyll & mr. hyde by robert louis stevenson
the three musketeers by alexandre dumas
brave new world by aldous huxley
the war of the worlds by h. g. wells
war and peace by leo tolstoy
frankenstein by mary shelley
vanity fair by william makepeace thackeray
"i probably forgot to mention half of the recommended books, but i think this is a good start. many of these books have also been although i do encourage you to read the books instead of watching the films."

Angst Masterlist
part one
All Good Things Must (ao3) - burning_nova
clint/phil, phil/steve
T, 23k
Summary: Clint wasn't sure when it had changed. When Phil and Clint had become Phil and Steve.
always winter, always spring (ao3) - Mizzy
steve/tony
E, 4k
Summary: (groundhog day) trapped in an ever-replenishing room with an impossible puzzle to solve, Steve and Tony learn a thing or two about each other and about themselves
Casualty of war (ao3) - wolfypuppypiles
M, 22k
Summary: Peter got knocked down in Civil War, but when Tony went to check on the baby Avenger, he realized he was more badly hurt than first realized.
There wasn't meant to be any casualties, but there always is in war.
Clint's Hugging Service (ao3) - pherryt
bucky/clint
G, 7k
Summary: Bucky really, really wants to know what a Clint Barton hug feels like. Everyone else seems to swear by them.
even when you lie, even when you hide (you mean everything to me) (ao3) - AceofWands
bucky/steve/tony
E, 30k
Summary: All these years he’d wondered, that little childish part of him that loved his mother’s stories, what his soulmate was going to be like. Even as his father made sure he knew there were more important things he had to accomplish, told him over and over that he’d be better off without a soulmate at all – to the point where Tony had wondered if maybe he’d be one of those people whose soulmate had died young - he’d secretly hoped and wondered if he’d be one of the lucky ones.
And now he knew.
His father had been right all along.
Tony had two soulmates, who already knew each other.
He decided then and there that he was never, ever going to tell them he existed.
And then he woke up in a cave in Afghanistan.
From The Ashes, We Rise Like The Phoenix (ao3) - SpiderWidowFam88
peter/gwen, pepper/tony, steve/bucky
T, 110k
Summary: *Tony Dusted instead of Peter*
Peter spent three weeks on that ship, the only thing he has to occupy him is the really old music, paper football, and the ever expanding expanse of space. Peter is pretty sure he’s gonna die up there before they even get close to Earth. So with his final moments he records his final words and goes to sleep, even though he knows he might never open his eyes again.
Carol Danvers shows up 30 minutes later…
Holiday Spending (ao3) - isfan
bucky/tony
T, 70k
Summary: Winteriron collage au w/fake relationship; Tony asks Bucky to be his fake boyfriend, either to shake off some matchmaking friends or to piss off Howard. Turns out Bucky is all Tony ever wanted in a boyfriend. Too bad it’s not real (extra angst if Tony paid for Bucky to act as his boyfriend, now Tony wonders if it was all for the money). Happy ending?
(i will) leave a light on (ao3) - crinklefries
steve/bucky
E, 36k
Summary: Twice a day, every day, Steve lights the lantern at the top of the lighthouse.
One day, every year, a door opens and Bucky steps through.
This is the story of how Steve and Bucky reclaim all of the years they've lost and what Valhalla means to someone who's willing to wait for it.
let me down gently (ao3) - theclaravoyant
leo/jemma
T, 3k
Summary: FitzSimmons struggle with the pain and the joy of wanting the best for each other, but not being able to embody it. They learn that not all great friendships are destined to be great romances, but that doesn’t mean there’s not a lot of love there.
Master of Communication (ao3) - somanyfeels (orphan_account)
steve/tony
T, 10k
Summary: Tony didn’t like being touched, on the rare occasions he wanted physical contact he would initiate it. It was how things were, how it had always been, and he was fine with it. His new team didn’t know, they just kept touching and Tony wasn’t quite sure how to ask them to stop.
Mokusatsu (ao3) - shadesfalcon
bucky/clint/steve, background sam/natasha
E, 125k
Summary: Clint Barton has been strung along from abusive relationship to abusive relationship all his life. Not that he would use the word “abusive”. He would argue that, as a sub, he was born to take whatever it is his dom feels like throwing at him.
But even with that attitude, he’s nervous about his current situation. Trapped in a bureaucratically mandated relationship with not one but two doms is going to be difficult and dangerous. Especially since these two doms are both members of the Avengers themselves.
He hopes that whenever he disappoints them, they’ll have at least a little pity on him, even though he knows he won’t deserve it.
More Than Meets the Eye (ao3) - LokiNeedsHugs1031
loki/tony, steve/bucky
E, 249k
Summary: Tony Stark and Loki have known each other long before the attack on New York. Tony is shocked to find that Loki doesn’t remember him at all, that hence the reason Tony being thrown out the window, that is until he’s slammed to the ground by The Hulk. When Tony sneaks a peek at the beginning of interrogations he discovers that the Loki that attacked New York has seemingly woken up from some kind of mind control, and is begging for help.
Never Mine to Hold (ao3) - Petuniagirl
steve/bucky
M, 21k
Summary: Steve didn't know the name of Bucky's soulmate. He wasn't even sure when it had appeared across Bucky's heart.
But Steve knew it wasn't his name hidden under that patch.
Ouch. (ao3) - Static_Starfish
steve/bucky
M, 3k
Summary: Steve follows Bucky when he falls. Things happen from there.
peter’s stars (ao3) - IronPengu, parkrstark
steve/tony
T, 175k
Summary: Steve and Peter lose their apartment and are kicked out on the streets. Steve has to juggle between jobs to earn whatever money he can, take care of his son while resfusing to let him realize how much they’re trouble in, and keep them warm and safe on the city streets in winter.
So, he really doesn’t have time to date the billionaire that flirts with him everyday as he buys his cup of coffee. Even if he did, he can’t let himself fall for the man. Because if he knew that he lived from a backpack and showered in a public bathroom there’s no way he’d still want him…right?
Publicity Parent (ao3) - Bowtiez
G, 36k
Summary: Tony's losing his credit with the public. Pepper's got a plan to fix it.
Enter Peter Parker, eight-year-old orphan from Queens, New York.
Tony has no idea how children work, so why is he so drawn to little Peter Parker?
tell me we're dead and i'll love you even more (ao3) - inevitablemeow
steve/bucky
E, 51k
Summary: It’s the eyes that do it. Molten silver in the moonlight. Steve could never forget them.
He stands up straighter, and his fear bleeds away. “You.”The man stops a few paces from Steve, eyes flicking around his face as if in search of something. “Me,” he says. His voice is low, soft as velvet. Steve knows from one word that he would listen to this man talk for hours.“From the train,” Steve says as he shifts his weight to one leg. “Like a week ago?”
The man cracks a slow smile that makes his eyes shine. The barest hint of his sharp canines peeks between his full lips. “From the train. Yeah. Didn’t think I’d ever run into you again.”
“Yeah, I…,” Steve murmurs, lips parted as he looks for words, any words to convey the strange feeling in his chest. It feels like the culmination of searching for someone you never knew, or that maybe you did a lifetime ago. He doesn’t know this man’s name, but he feels like he should. And he wants to, so badly he can’t think around it. “I’m Steve.”
The man’s smile brightens, and he seems to relax. “Bucky."----
or; sunlight, and his shadow.
Who Saves The Hero (ao3) - CamelotQueen
T, 15k
Summary: May brings home her new boyfriend. Something about him makes Peter feel nervous, but he makes May happy. And if May’s happy, then Peter is happy.
Then it escalates.

Thank you! Among the honored and canonical dead, you can’t go wrong with Woolf and Orwell. I grew up in my teens and early 20s reading—and sometimes learning the art of the hatchet job from—Gore Vidal, Christopher Hitchens, John Leonard, James Wood. Among those better known as academics who also wrote good book reviews: Harold Bloom, George Steiner, Edward Said, Camille Paglia. Among novelists who were/are also working reviewers, I like J. M. Coetzee, Joyce Carol Oates, Cynthia Ozick, and, closer to my own generation, William Giraldi (he’s lesser-known, so here is my review of his reviews). From the early wave of literary bloggers, there were the late D. G. Myers and Brian A. Oard; don’t miss their archives. Nowadays, whether in old media or on Substack, I keep up with Christian Lorentzen, Ann Manov, Blake Smith, Alex Perez, Leo Robson, friend-of-the-blog Paul Franz, and the writer behind Castalia.

A Christmas Carol Holiday Season: "A Christmas Carol" (1938 film)
This vintage Hollywood Christmas Carol has always been known as a lightweight version among Dickens lovers. But it's probably the "classic" Carol most often seen on American TV, as Turner Classic Movies airs it every December. Produced by MGM at the height of the studio's prestige, it stars 51-year-old British character actor Reginald Owen – whom many of us today remember best as Admiral Boom in Mary Poppins – in the role of Scrooge, surrounded by a cast of MGM's stock British players. Chief among them is Gene Lockhart as Bob Cratchit, with his real-life wife Kathleen Lockhart as Mrs. Cratchit, and their daughter, future Lassie and Lost in Space star June Lockhart, as the middle Cratchit daughter Belinda.
This is indeed a cozy, lighthearted Carol, which downplays the horror and pathos of the book. The sequence with the Ghost of Christmas Past (portrayed as a beautiful young woman by Ann Rutherford) omits Scrooge's lost love Belle, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Lionel Braham) lacks the phantom children Ignorance and Want beneath his robe, and Christmas Yet to Come lacks the scene of the thieves selling the dead Scrooge's belongings. More emphasis than usual is placed on the Cratchit family, whose comfortable house looks more lower-middle class than poor, and on nephew Fred (Barry MacKay), who has a romance subplot borrowed from Edison's 1910 silent version. Rather than already being married, he can't yet afford to marry his fiancée Bess (Lynne Carver), which in the end Scrooge resolves by offering him a new job as his business partner. In another added subplot, Scrooge fires Bob Cratchit for accidentally ruining his hat with a thrown snowball, and Bob spends all of Christmas hiding this crisis from his family. Marley's Ghost (Leo G. Carroll) and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (D'Arcy Corrigan) provide token spookiness, but for the most part, this is a family-friendly Carol defined by Christmas cheer.
But whether or not it's authentic Dickens, the warmth and charm of this film is hard to resist. The scenery and costumes offer a vivid, if idealized portrait of Victorian London, enhanced by Franz Waxman's musical score. Reginald Owen's Scrooge might lack the depth and pathos of other Scrooges (and looks slightly cartoonish in his heavy old age makeup), but his journey from crotchety miser to joyful benefactor is convincing and endearing all the same. Gene Lockhart's Bob Cratchit strikes an ideal balance between merriment and melancholy, Barry MacKay's jovial Fred makes the most of his expanded role, and the rest of the cast is equally strong.
This cheerful film might be "Dickens lite," but as far as I'm concerned, it's still worth watching every year.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Dir: Edwin L Marin, 1938).
Produced by MGM at the height of Hollywood’s golden age, A Christmas Carol is a lively, albeit scrubbed up, adaptation of Charles Dickens ever popular 1843 novella. The familiar story is more or less faithful to Dickens' text, as miserly old Ebenezer Scrooge accepts a ghostly hand in relocating his Christmas spirit, much to the relief of his put-upon employee Bob Cratchit, as well as the half of London who are indebted to him.
