Adapted from a previously FShenko AU idea, still deciding if Sheploo or a custom Shep. X Shepard finishes his covert ops training, and is finally assigned to field work. On his first day at HQ, he meets his handler, a quiet, steady man named Kaidan Alenko, who seems itchy to get out of his station and into the field himself. The pair grow close through their Ops, but Shepard learns quickly that not everything is as it seems. The team knows something about Kaidan, and he seems to be more involved in their overall mission that he lets on. Soon, the handler’s secrets start to interfere with their operation and their partnership, and Shepard must figure out what’s going on and how to stop it before Kaidan compromises the mission. Or before one of them is killed.
