One of my FAVOURITE ship dynamics to write or read in fics is when two characters are basically already a couple but they just haven't realised it yet. They call each other up at like 3am, they cuddle, they sleep in the same bed, they fall asleep in each other's arms, they hold hands, they practically live together, they talk about having a ~ special connection ~, they just haven't actually kissed or done the do or talked about their feelings yet so they're still both like "but I just don't know if they like me in that way!!"

oh gosh i ended up giving it 5 stars on storygraph because i enjoyed it so much! i borrowed my copy from the library but im definitely buying one for myself after reading! it was.. quaint in like. the absolute best way. i love stories that really dig into humanity (and the different people that we are) and how we move around our lives, so it was such a good match for me !! it is also incredibly hopeful and inspiring and i just closed it after finishing with such a wonderful, light feeling in my head, like somehow everything will work out! 🥹 i hope youll enjoy it half as much as i did, and that itll give you the same inspiring feeling!
