Sixth Street Viaduct, E 6th St., Los Angeles (Arts District), CA 90013
The historic Sixth Street Bridge built in 1932 was demolished in 2016 and the new bridge opened on July 9, 2022. We missed the grand opening weekend but walked across the bridge the following weekend. It was surprisingly quiet. The sidewalks are wide and there are bike lanes. Fences keep people from falling or jumping off.
The bridge crosses the LA River from the Arts District to Boyle Heights and has views of the Hollywood sign, City Hall, downtown LA, the LA River, etc. It’s a lovely design, known as “The Ribbon of Light”; the bridge is lit at night.
There was a fair amount of trash on the bridge, plus a homeless person who was sprawled out. Someone has already tagged it and put a lock on the fence. Very LA! It’s a nice place to walk though; hope some attempt is made to keep it up. The bridge is 3,500 feet long (0.66 of a mile). They plan to add parks at both ends in 2023.
Update: They keep closing the bridge due to illegal activities and tagging.
4 out of 5 stars.

I'm only going to say this once.
As much as I love them, if only Tristeva get their happy ending, I am going to be pissed. We have not waited this long for Yumalia to become canon only to lose them in a little over a month. I'm serious, Ankama...
