Honey Citron Tea

I really like this tea. It was introduced to me by my coworkers during the pandemic, and I've loved it ever since!

You can drink it hot or cold, and you can even use it as a jam for your bread though I only read that from the instructions at the back but I've never tried it but I can see how it can work!

Personal preference though (with ice or without):

10.02.2024 // not exactly a study post but a day of pottery, bookshops and some delicious ramyun with korean citron tea.

The first time I tried my hand at pottery; I went for a 90 minutes one-off pottery session and the result was three pieces (obviously with a lot of support from the instructor, whose hands are visible in the first photo). It's something I had wanted to try out for a long time and I'm so happy that I got to do it. I hope to return to it when I have time and money.

{of course, I ended up buying more books even though I had promised myself that I won't.}

Functional Tea Pot

Functional Tea Pot is a small appliance that can be used to make 5 different types of teas (inspired by korean teas, feel free to share if any of these teas is popular in other asian countries). It can be found in buy mode under "Appliances -> Small appliances" (there are 8 different recolors). It costs 170$.

When you press on the object you'll see an option to 'Make Special Tea', which will open a selection menu and you can choose from 5 different teas.

Each drink has optional ingredients, if you have the needed ingredients it's free, otherwise you can just purchase the drink.

The tea pot can be placed everywhere (eg. table, counter, ground).

Each drink has special moodlet.

Review of YADAH's Green Tea Pure Cleansing Balm

YADAH is a Korean brand that cares about the health of your skin and the planet. They aim to make products from the best and safest natural ingredients. Their Green Tea Pure Cleansing Balm is designed to remove fine dust and oil in addition to heavy makeup, it’s designed in particular for sensitive skin. Key ingredients include 0.3% of green tea leaf powder (improves skin complexion, anti-aging, soothing, tones skin), olive fruit oil (moisturizing, anti-aging, healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-wrinkle, gently exfoliating), sunflower seed oil (moisturizing, vitamin-rich, anti-aging, treats dry skin), lavender oil (detoxifying, anti-acne, healing, skin toning, brightening) and tocopherol (strengthens skin, increases moisture, improves elasticity, moisturizing). This product retails for between $14-22 USD, you can get it here for $14.94 + shipping.

To quickly note, I received this for free from Picky and YADAH in exchange for my honest review.

The balm contains 100 ml (3.38 oz) and doesn’t have a noticeable fragrance, but it does contain many essential oils.

The balm is pretty standard and doesn’t feel too heavy.

It's pretty oily and does start to break down to a more liquid form pretty fast.

It removes makeup very nicely and is non-stripping.

It doesn’t leave any oil residue once rinsed off.

Recommended use is to place an appropriate amount on dry hands and face and gently massage into the skin. It’s easy to rinse off or remove with tissue paper. It’s recommended to follow up with a cleansing foam. This is specifically formulated for sensitive skin. After using, so there are many essential oils in the ingredients list so this product is not fragrance-free. The physical fragrance isn't very noticeable, however. The cleansing balm has a very easy texture to work with and despite having a fair amount of irritants, this is a very gentle product that is suitable to any skin type, even to sensitive skin as I didn't personally notice any irritation. The ingredients are all very helpful in the skin maintaining moisture without being stripping or leaving a film or residue behind. I found this worked really well to remove dirt and gunk from my pores as well, it's also been gentle around my recent nose piercing. It's great to use as a double cleanse, both steps really help you feel clean without leaving the skin tight. I'd recommend this to anyone with dry, sensitive skin with enlarged pores.

What I like: this balm is very gentle, non-irritating, non-stripping and doesn't leave any film or residue. It's effective at removing dirt and oil and makeup is really nice to help loosen extra dirt from the pores. What I don't like: while it didn't affect me, there are several essential oils in this which can be irritants.

speaking of jam in tea, have you ever tried Korean Honey Citron tea or Ume Plum tea? they're both like really chunky jam, the citron one has a ton of peel pieces in it (it's basically candied in the honey mixture) and the plum one is kinda tart n has plum pieces in it!!!

I haven't tried either XDDDD The closest to the first one would either be yuzu lemonade or these british lemon marmelade. And i love both so i'll give it a try when i have a chance. As for the ume plum tea, I'm not a big fan of the pickled ume so I'm not that optimistic about the tea tbh ^^'. But hey, you should give everything a try. So If I'll ever come across a small package I'll keep your recommendation in mind.

Also XDDD. Forgot to mention that in the last ask, but I can really recommend dandelion preserves too. For tea (and also for baking. Now I'm craving dandelion bread. damn)

Masarap ‘tong Fresh Citron Tea. Refreshing siya. Medyo nagulat lang ako sa unang tikim kasi matamis. Di ako sanay sa matamis na tsaa.

Twice daw pwede magrefill sa pot. Nakatatlo kami, napagbigyan lang ni ateng barista kasi closing na rin naman na sila. Gets na namin bakit hanggang dalawa lang ang pwede.

Yung choco ganache cake naman nila, ayos lang. Medyo matigas nang bahagya yung cake pero goods yung sweetness level. Mas bet ko pa rin yung turtle pie ng CBTL. Mas moist siya at may iba’t-ibang layers of texture. Medyo matamis nang onti yung turtle pie pero tolerable naman.

Guys, tomorrow is officialy 24th ???DECEMBER??? already like how did that happen wasn't it like summer just a few weeks ago.. well

To kick start our immune system with winter coming in a tasty way i am wholeheartedly recommending you to go and buy a jar of yuzu (made from the fruit Yuja, similar to citron). It's a traditional korean tea made from mixing yuzu (it's like a marmalade) with hot water and the taste is heavenly- like honey lemon and tangerine mixed together. You can also use yuzu as a marmalade for your bread or make a cold yuzu lemonade but seriously the simplest and warmest way to enjoy it is just a simple cup of yuzu tea during cold days. Now for some health benefits information, it contains more vitamin C than raw lemon juice and it is also a good cold remedy or sore throats and it can also better you skin complexion! So what are you still waiting for?

I adore vintage style decorations especially lamps because lightning can change and impact the mood of your room the most and all those old school designs are just so elegant and beautiful and such a treat for my eyes. Seriously once i get my apartment i will have all those pretty lamps everywhere so my next hobby in mind is lamp hunting. 

Netflix is really getting better and better with its release of good horror series. When i came across this one i was a little bit sceptical since koreans never really did anything that would scare the sh-- out of me BUT after this one i am changing my mind and i have to say that this is just all scary, creepy, horrible, jaw-dropping,.. and i can't stop myself to stop watching because it is so good i love being so scared that i won't even go to pee at night alone. So if you are okay about exorcismus and those occult stuff i really reallyy recommend it. Also the main priest character is very h o t.

Don't be ashamed of the things that you like to do just because it doesn't belong to “social norm”. It's your life, enjoy every minute of it nobody is going to judge you it's just in your head.
