Hey shutters, do you have any advice that you can share to impress a dev team so that they'll accept me as tester?
Hmm ive not been hired specifically for QA before (though I have had to test games anyway because when you work in indies you wear a lot of hats) so I'm not sure what I can tell you to get you hired, only what to expect from the job itself.
Video Game QA is fucking grueling and many companies are going to expect unreasonable work ethic from you that I will suggest you don't subject yourself to. I don't believe in crunch and QA is one of the crunchiest parts of an industry that runs on crunch lol.
But anyway, if you want to impress as a QA tester, don't talk up how good you are at breaking a game—every gamer with years of experience knows how to find a place to clip through a wall or abuse physics to fly—show off how meticulous you are in documentation. The more detailed you are with the hows, whys, and wheres when you encounter a bug or issue, the more helpful you will be to the programmer that has to fix it. A tester who becomes familiar enough with a game internally might even be able to figure out what's going wrong before the programmer has to figure it out (see: speedrunners figuring out the exact details behind glitches down to a science just so they can use them for speedrunning)
You're also going to be doing a ton of repetitive work (prepare to play the same parts over and over and over again until you can do it in your sleep) because you need to account for every possibility. There's a joke about a tester that walks into a bar and then tests it by ordering drinks, then too many drinks, then negative drinks, then a lizard, but when a customer walks in and asks where's the bathroom the whole thing crashes. Familiarity with software can lead you to miss testing totally reasonable user behavior, make sure that you don't and you try to account for everything.

Coding is very useful for jobs focused on automating tests, so it's a good skill for people taking online QA training courses. Test automation tools like Selenium and Appium require writing and updating test scripts, and coding knowledge helps automate test cases efficiently. Also, understanding coding languages allows testers to communicate well with developers about bugs and work closely together.
Even for jobs focused on manual testing, coding abilities can give testers an advantage over others taking the same online courses. Testers who can code can look into the application's code during exploratory testing to find potential issues and improve test coverage.
From a career standpoint, coding skills often lead to specialized roles like automation tester or QA engineer, where being able to write scripts is typically required. However, for roles focused only on manual testing, other skills like understanding the application domain and analytical thinking may be valued more than coding abilities.
In the end, while coding can definitely enhance a tester's skills and open up more job opportunities, it may not be absolutely necessary. Can software quality be assured by "testers"?

You'd have to live under a rock not to notice the constant flurries of anti-QA rhetoric here on LinkedIn and elsewhere in blogsphere. Have no fear though. In this article, I address some of the misconceptions that are being made that cause folks to have this anti-QA stance that usually revolves around the statement that "testers" cannot assure quality because, in the context of software development, they are not in a position to influence/change the code and therefor have no power to change the quality, directly.
I want to come right off the bat and say this is 100% true! "Testers," as defined by the folks that seem to hold this stance, cannot assure quality. Does this surprise you? It shouldn't, here is why.
Testers only provide information
If testers, per the definition used by Bolton and others, only "evaluate a product to provide information" (this is an overly simple and paraphrased version I use for brevity but you can find their definition readily online), then of course they cannot change the quality of the software! Duh!
And here lies the crux of the matter, testers don't assure quality but Quality Assurance Analysts and Engineers via a Quality Assurance process, do. Now, I don't think that Bolton is confusing Quality Assurance with testing, but I think that he is adding to the confusion by not making this very clear. Which results in practitioners being confused about what they really should do.
When Bolton and others tell folks to "get out of the Quality Assurance business" it could be because they would like them to get into the single purpose testing business instead.
Quality Assurance drives the Quality
In a mature organization, QA is responsible for working with management (executive management), understanding the Quality Objectives of an organization, crafting a process that will ensure that these quality objectives are being met and then reporting on said quality; for the purpose of continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance and Testing are not the same thing
"A picture says a thousand words", one tool that I like to use to illustrate who is responsible for what without using a lot of words is a RACI. To understand this nuanced difference between testing and QA and how they are not the same thing but do work together, let's examine the below example in the context of Software Quality:

As you can see by creating a RACI chart in order for us to outline the responsibilities, in terms of quality, across various roles in the project team (such as Testing (testers), Development, Quality Assurance (QA), Scrum Masters, User) helps to clarify who is responsible for what, this ensures that all aspects of quality are adequately covered thereby assuring quality.
In order to assure quality, though, you first have to define what quality is. What are the Quality Standards for the project? This is the first line in the RACI, if you notice QA is Responsible and Accountable for setting the Quality Standards while "testers" are consulted (this is in line with testers only provide information, no?).
Another difference between QA and testing is that writing the test cases and also actually performing testing are in the realm of "testers" who are both Accountable and Responsible for this. QA plays a Supporting role.
Yet another difference is that testers are Accountable for reporting bugs, risks, etc, but share the Responsibility with QA. This is clearly in line with the "testers" only provide information mantra.

Summary
As you can see from the above, it is clear (well at least to me) that "testers" cannot assure quality. It is also clear to me that Quality Assurance is Accountable and Responsible for both owning the Quality Standards for the project as well as setting up the process and following up with the other stakeholders to ensure that the quality standards are being met, therefore resulting in a Quality product (as defined by the project team).

Common Challenges in Regression Testing 
What is regression testing? 
It is a testing method that ensures the code changes that have been introduced or modifications or updates done to the application do not affect or alter the existing functionalities of the software product or application. 
The following are the challenges involved in conducting regression testing: 
1. Difficulty in communicating business value: The platform of regression testing makes sure that the existing product features are working appropriately. When it comes to communicating regression testing value to non-technical leaders within the business, it can be quite a difficult task to accomplish. A considerable amount of time is invested by testers in the regression testing process.  
2. The issue with complexity: When there is a product update, the complexity grows, which, in turn, causes the list of tests in the regression pack to grow to a huge amount. Over a period of time, the regression tests become complicated and big. There could be potentially thousands of processes, functions and test cases to check. Manual testing can be quite difficult and hence a feasible alternative would be to opt for automated regression testing.  
3. More resources are required: After every development iteration, regression tests need to be run. The time that is required to recreate and run the tests needs to be justified. This in turn makes the testing process harder. When these test cases are executed by external teams or crowd testers, then it will help relieve the burden off the internal team.

Doing products is different from doing business. It is a hard target for new person who don’t have experience in the business. If you have been working as a software engineer for the past 12 years and want to do business, it becomes harder than ever.
When I decided to do gaming business, my first thought was about the product and never thought about what I am discussing in this blog. I got to know the importance of dividing the teams after spending 8 months on my startup journey. 
This information may not be useful to the people who already have business experience but it helps the person who wants to execute their ideas but has no knowledge on gaming business. 
I am sharing my knowledge here. If it helps even one person, I am so happy.
My experience:
I spent more than 12 years on product development. So I am able to build the product irrespective of platform and language but I did not gain business knowledge during my career. I thought that product knowledge was enough to take my product to the end users.
You know - startup journey is the same as roller coaster journey. We can not see anything clearly and at the same time we reach the point without understanding what happened in the journey.
I started coding the Ludo Family game, drawing graphics. Meanwhile I am doing testing also so it is throwing huge bugs. Due to bug fixing I lose contrasting on graphics. Immediately I started concentrating on graphics and then I lost focus on the marketing side. These things are followed one after another. At the end my life became hell. Still I am ok to bear the pain but my product quality went bad. This is painful to me.
I understand that I have to balance all these works. So that we can understand where we need to spend more time as well as where It is going bad. Also we can find out a piece of work to assign to another person. I divided the teams as follows.

1. Communication Skills:
Good communication skills actually are one of the most important traits in a candidate for any position. For a tester, both verbal and written communication are crucial. Software testers need good communication skills to ensure test artefacts created by them, for example, test strategy, test plan, test cases, etc. are easy to understand by other members in the team.
As a tester, you must be able to clearly document and communicate defects in a program to developers, you need to update testing status of the project to clients, communicate your work progress to test management and prepare test reports for management, so effective communication is vital.

What is DevOps? 
DevOps is a software development and software deployment practice that prioritizes team collaboration and efficiency throughout the development process.  
Its purpose is to help teams of developers and operations professionals work more closely together, resulting in a better software development lifecycle (SDLC). 
Developers are used to working alone, often on their own schedules.  
The result is that code is often developed and then pushed into production with limited to no QA or testing.  
Operations professionals often do not know where to begin to provide the appropriate maintenance and support for the applications. 
DevOps changes the process so that developers and operations professionals work together much more closely.  
DevOps emphasizes the collaborative aspects of the SDLC by creating a process that ensures close communication and transparency between both teams. 
As a process, DevOps takes many forms. When used as a practice in an organization, DevOps is designed to help developers and operations teams collaborate more closely on both new and legacy systems.  
The objective is to produce applications more quickly and reliably, resulting in higher-quality code and better user experience. 
Implementing DevOps: 
At first, implementing DevOps may seem difficult. Developers may find that they don't understand where operations professionals work, or they may be afraid that their work will be intruded on.

There needs to be measurable outcomes. 
 When you think about it, many organizations are so obsessed with measuring metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that they lose focus on what is happening.  
For example, if you are only using KPIs and metrics as the measurement criteria for your performance, you may be getting the wrong signal. 
This is the same logic you need to apply in DevOps. You cannot have unrealistic metrics that you have to achieve or KPIs that are unreachable.
