i have no idea what ur definition of a 'baddie' is, so this post may have not been what you've been looking for, but I tried my best

A lot of us struggle with confidence, and it can be the main factor that holds us back from growing to be our best selves. So, I’ve created a guide on improving ourselves even with low confidence.

UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS NOT UNREPLENISHABLE. Confidence is like a cup of water, tea, coffee, hot cocoa, or whatever your favourite beverage is, it can always be refilled. While you don’t have to ‘fake till you make it’, remember that you do not live with a restricted amount of confidence.

ACCEPT IT. Whatever way you have to, crying, journalling, venting, you have to accept that you are a person who struggles with low confidence. However, instead of identifying yourself as that, identify yourself as learning to self-love.

E.g. ‘I’m so insecure’ → ‘I am still learning to love myself.’ ‘Why can’t I be like them?’ -> ‘I will learn that I do not have to be someone else.’

CONSIDER NEUTRALITY. You don’t have to live on this odd scale of loving yourself or hating yourself all the time, and letting it define you. Instead of what it looks like, what it can look like, what it can do, see it as a special vessel that homes your soul.

For example, my body can digest the food that nourishes my soul, my hands can write text messages to my loved ones which reassure my soul that they know they are loved etc. Seeing it in this perspective grows a deeper meaning and appreciation for your body.

I like to see my body, traits, and life as a gift from God. Me insulting these things, is an insult to him.

INDULGE IN YOUR STRENGTHS. When we have low confidence, it becomes almost second nature to focus on our weaknesses. Instead, try to actively focus on your strengths. If you don’t know what your strengths are at the moment, just focus on things that make you happy.

It would be beneficial to add one thing that you know you’re good at on your list of what to do. Something that you’re assured you’ll like doing and the outcome.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Eat a well-balanced diet, make an effort to achieve good quality sleep, exercise when you can, reach out to your loved ones daily and incorporate things that make you happy.

Just these simple things can improve your quality of life by far, however, our intentions to do these things may be impacted by our low confidence, and therefore we are unmotivated to do these things.

If that is the case, take little steps in doing each thing and remind yourself that intentional self-neglect is a form of self-harm and destruction.

Because of our social circumstances, male and female are really two cultures and their life experiences are utterly different—and this is crucial. Implicit in all the gender identity development which takes place through childhood is the sum total of the parents', the peers, and the culture's notions of what is appropriate to each gender by way of temperament, character, interests, status, worth, gesture, and expression. Every moment of the child's life is a clue to how he or she must think and behave to attain of satisfy the demands which gender places upon one. In adolescence, the merciless task of conformity grows to crisis proportions, generally cooling and settling in maturity.

Since patriarchy's biological foundations appear to be so very insecure, one has some cause to admire the strength of a "socialization" which can continue a universal condition "on faith alone," as it were, or through an acquired value system exclusively. What does seem decisive in assuring the maintenance of the temperamental differences between the sexes is the conditioning of early childhood. Conditioning runs in a circle of self-perpetuation and self-fulfilling prophecy. To take a simple example: expectations the culture cherishes about his gender identity encourage the young male to develop aggressive impulses, and the female to thwart her own or turn them inward. The result is that the male tends to have aggression reinforced in his behavior, often with significant anti-social possibilities. Thereupon the culture consents to believe the possession of the male indicator, the testes, penis, and scrotum, in itself characterizes the aggressive impulse, and even vulgarly celebrates it in such encomiums as "that guy has balls." The same process of reinforcement is evident in producing the chief "feminine" virtue of passivity.

In contemporary terminology, the basic division of temperamental trait is marshaled along the line of "aggression is male" and "passivity is female." All other temperamental traits are somehow—often with the most dexterous ingenuity—aligned to correspond. If aggressiveness is the trait of the master class, docility must be the corresponding trait of a subject group. The usual hope of such line of reasoning is that "nature," by some impossible outside chance, might still be depended upon to rationalize the patriarchal system. An important consideration to be remembered here is that in patriarchy, the function of norm is unthinkingly delegated to the male—were it not, one might as plausibly speak of "feminine" behavior as active, and "masculine" behavior as hyperactive or hyperaggressive.

The arbitrary character of patriarchal ascriptions of temperament and role has little effect upon their power over us. Nor do the mutually exclusive, contradictory, and polar qualities of the categories "masculine" and "feminine" imposed upon human personality give rise to sufficiently serious question among us. Under their aegis each personality becomes little more, and often less than half, of its human potential. Politically, the fact that each group exhibits a circumscribed but complementary personality and range of activity is of secondary importance to the fact that each represents a status or power division. In the matter of conformity patriarchy is a governing ideology without peer; it is probable that no other system has ever exercised such a complete control over its subjects.

Hi Herb!! I was wondering if you had any advice on opening commissions? I enjoy your art immensely and you were one of the first people I thought of to ask since I know you do commissions on occasion

Sorry if this is totally weird, I am just at a complete loss! Thanks for taking the time to read this!

These are things I wish I had figured out when I started selling art commissions. Also, feel free to use my current commission form to pattern your own. (also if anyone >.> wants to commission me, I am open <.<)

Step 1: Write a Terms of Service

Good terms of service will manage the expectations of your clients, establish a level of professionalism, and protect you if someone tries to argue something already made clear in writing. You can keep your ToS really simple, but it's good practice to include the following:

What kind of art you will/won't do (I don't do nfts)

Estimated duration of the project (2-4 weeks is my M.O.)

Number of revisions (more than 3, I add a fee)

When and how often you will update the client

Rights that you retain as an artist/permit to the client

Note: This mainly applies to personal/non-commercial work. If you are approached to make art for a game/magazine/website, do a ton more research. You will need to write out a contract that makes things Boringly Clear, and you will want to retain all of your rights as an artist.

Step 2: PRICES (scream)

Everyone starts out underselling. I'm underselling (I'm trying to get better.) Just go at your own pace. Look at what other artists are offering, but don't just look at the quality of their work. Think about your turnaround time, your style, and your target audience. If you are a fast worker or very detailed, that's worth a pay bump. Niche communities will pay solid money for artists to cater to them. So for example, if you draw fetish art, you have more room to charge higher.

ALWAYS GET PAYMENT UP FRONT. You can offer half upfront and half upon completion. If it's a big or long-term project, it's okay to go 30/70. BUT NEVER START WORK WITHOUT SOME SORT OF COMPENSATION. I just had a client that has not paid me the 2nd half and they are blacklisted. This rarely happens but it does happen.

Once you think you've got a price chart you feel comfortable with, add $20. Do it, even if it feels wrong. You may have to pay transaction fees, or the work (often) takes longer than expected. It'll be a small mercy to yourself to account for these things. Raise your prices a little bit each year because you are growing in experience and inflation (scream) is a thing that affects the arts too.

Step 3: INTEGRATE AND AUTOMATE

I wish I had done this step years ago, but I slacked off, and therefore staying organized was a nightmare. The less "business" stuff you have to do manually, the more time you can focus on "creative" stuff.

Make a google form. Make it as easy for the client to input information as possible. In the settings, set it so that responses will go to an excel file. The questions you ask will be the titles of the fields, so keep them short and easy to read. Reference image attachments will save to google drive.

You can set it up so that you will get an email whenever you get a new response (you might want to make a separate email account specifically for commissions.) Prewrite confirmation responses and save them as templates so that you're not writing the same email to clients over and over again.

Set reminders for responding to clients, requesting payment, and finishing work. This can be through google calender or some other app. You are responsible for facilitating communication. Even if the email is just, "Hey, just letting you know the work is still in progress, I will send you a wip in 1-2 days." Client assurance is high priority.

I use paypal invoice for payments. It means I have to pay a transaction fee, but I factor that into my prices. It also ensures that I have clear documentation for orders, I can send reminders easily if I haven't been paid, and it just looks more professional overall. You can use whatever service feels most comfortable, just make sure you practice good bookkeeping (*stares at my taxes in horror*)

Step 4: Mockups and Descriptions

Provide examples of the work that you are going to. Make a mockup of busts/half body/full body, etc. Don't include anything you don't intend to actually produce.

Make sure that your form includes room to answer EVERY question about the commission that you might have. This will reduce the amount of back and forth you need to have with your client. You want to be able to get that request, confirm it, send that invoice, and jump on it ASAP.

Step 5: Start small, be honest, be firm

If you haven't done commissions before, have a limited number of slots available. Take break time after you've finished a certain amount. Don't languish over an art piece. At some point, it will be as done as it can be. Send it to the client, and keep rolling.

If you feel like you are getting overwhelmed, tell your client. It's bad practice to go on hiatus and not notify them while they're waiting on an update. If you genuinely forget to touch base with them, do so as soon as possible. Apologize, then finish the work as soon as you can. Refund if you think that's the most polite route, but completing the task is usually more appreciated.

Be cordial, but firm. People will try to bully you over little things, but don't give in. Ignore folks who say your prices are too high. Make it clear that if they ask for more than what is agreed, you will charge a fee. If you feel like a request is sketchy, get a second opinion.

How would be his reaction to physical touch and his love languages 

@eboninapalm, @marnixbokuto (explanation: I decided to put them together because the asks were similar and to avoid repeat the same ask). 

Physical touch.

If you are in a relationship with Kazuya and you are the clingy part of it because Heihachi treated him badly and didn't care about him, he would be surprised at first. He would look at you with a harsh and critical gaze. 

His daily bad humor and seriousness wouldn't help either, because if there is a day when you are feeling very clingy and he feels that you are suffocating him, he would transform into his devil form and fly away from your shared home. Even being an evil person with a controversial relationship with his relatives and family, he would never dare to lay a finger to hurt his love. 

Be patient, as it would take a long time for him to get used to it. I think it might take around 2-3 years for him to start tolerating and not feel as irritated with his lover's physical demonstrations. 

After this period of accepting and understanding the way and the personality of his partner, maybe he would think about returning the physical touch. However, it would be mentally conflicting and take time for him to convince himself that he is not being "less masculine" for demonstrating that he cares and loves too. His deceased dad wasn't the best example of someone who showed love towards him, his mother, and/or his grandfather. 

Showing a new side of him that he never showed, one day he called you to talk, feeling confident enough to express his feelings towards his cold personality. He explained that he loves you too, but he has great difficulty expressing it like you do—through hugging, kissing, and stealing kisses from him. He mentioned that he has never had someone who cares and likes him for being himself like you do, since his last relationship with Jun. You responded, assuring him, saying, "It's okay, bae. This surprise would initially scare you, and you would tell him that it wasn't necessary since you had your own money. However, he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Acts of service would be quite common too. This might include helping when you're tired from work or school, and even assisting with tasks like reaching for things or providing support during your period (if you are Assigned Female At Birth (AFAB)). In these moments, he reveals a kind and gentle side that only you know.

Hi Tonberry! I'm so excited about this whole Valentine's Day event! I would like a matchup with a JJBA character!

I'm a small (153 cm ~ 5'2 ft) Hungarian straight woman (so I use she/her pronouns) with shoulder long wavy, dark blonde hair with thin blonde highlights. I'm slightly chubby. My eyecolour is hazel and I wear glasses because I have astigmia.

My favourite colors are black, yellow, blue and purple. Besides my native language I can speak German and English. For most of these MBTI tests I got INFP (though I don't believe in this I think our personality grows, changes)

I'm not the most talkative person, I have problems with communicating with others since I was in elementary. I have a hard time to warm up to others, got anxious about it, but if I find my people I slowly open up, and even crack some jokes and can be really sarcastic. I always say sorry about everything, even if it wasn't my fault.

I have a huge imagination and do a lot of day-dreaming. I don't like being dropped into a situation without being prepared, but if I can use some skills well, sometimes it looks like I can improvise. Like for example I got drama lessons in the local theater and I could pull off some characters better (mom, serious director etc.) than others.

I consider myself as someone who deeply cares about people. I want to help others but I don't know how and am afraid that someone only wants to use me. And no matter what philosophies I grab to navigate myself in this wild world, I always return to people. We are ugly and beautiful at the same time and it's so devastastating seeing people treating each other shit. I know these contradict each other. But MARINA's two songs, Savages and To Be Human explain my feelings towards humanity.

My hobbies: I love listening to music, it always got my back when I was alone. And reading some good character-driven book always moves my imagination. I like spending time with a friend of mine and talking about films, music, and dirty jokes (they're mostly about JoJo and JJK lol)and maybe I'm the one who would stop the chaos between the two of us. Like to search for different languages and cultures on Google and different playlists on youtube or 8tracks. Oh and watching playthroughs of videogames on Youtube.

I have a wide taste in music I guess? From Starset through Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco to mashups and videogame OSTs I listen to anything. But my favourite band is Starset. I'm always afraid to show other people my music taste because one time I've got booed that it's not danceble 😅 (the song I put in then was Anna Sun by Walk the Moon) I have playlists on youtube, where I listen to music I like: [x] [x] [x] [x] [x]

I don't think I have a special aesthetic; my outfits are 99% simple T-shirt + Jeans combo. Indoor I wear one of my oversized band T-shirts I inherited from one of my cousins. So I would say my aesthetic is casual I guess? Though my favourite aesthetic is spacecore but I like dark, light, chaotic academia and a bit grungecore too.

My ideal partner would be someone who's suave, can listen to me (and I could listen to him too) and I can spend some quality time but at the same time assures me with words that he loves me and I'm not a burden to him. And while on the outside he could sometimes look like he's just a goofball or just a flirting idiot, he can be pretty serious, deep down he's more than just a clown. I would like to know more about his culture, language too (yes even if his native language is English) and would like to learn it. Or he can be a kind, empathetic guy, who cares about his friends, family, helps others selflessly. Who can understand my pain about people but always reminds me with his actions why I love humanity besides hating it.

Ideal date: honestly, anything that makes him happy. I mostly would like quiet dates where we can chill (I'm not into those big parties where hundreds of people are, they drain me and make me feel I don't belong anywhere) like laying down and stargazing, holding each others' hands, hugging, kissing. We would teach each other words from our language. (I would teach him some cussing words too 😏 We Hungarians are proud of our cussings XD) But sometimes going to a carneval or a city program or just to the town's marketplace looking for trinkets or just watching the wares and people there is good too.

The two of you ate a lovely dinner and even dressed up for the occasion, even it it was just at home. You had spent the entire day together just spending time together and doing whatever romantic activity you could on valentine's day. But DIO had told you that he had something planned for the evening, but you had no clue what. DIO led you upstairs after doing the dished and you both put on some warm pajamas that you had that were 100% matching. He grabbed both of your hands and brushed his lips over his knuckled and you could feel his fangs hit your hand a bit, but it never hurt. "I want to show you something." He said, pressing a kiss onto your temple. He led you downstairs and to the backyard where you found what looked like a pillowfort with the ceiling cut out so you could watch the stars together and fall asleep under the moon. There were fairly lights strung on the fort and snacks everywhere over the fluffy blankets DIO had set out. You turned to DIO with a huge smile. "Babe!" You jumped into his arms, nearly making him fall onto the grass. He picked you up and led you to the fort where you cuddled all night, watching the stars pressed against each other. "Did you have a good day?" DIO asked, rubbing your arm and pressing little kisses all over your cheeks. "Yes," you smiled, squeezing his hand. "Did you?" "Of course I did. Rap Monster’s ‘Real’ Story

When I think of Rapmon, the first thing I think of is when other people would say ‘he’s a genius!’ during your trainee days. Since everyone said that, I just assumed it was so, but on the other hand, I had thoughts of resistance like ‘What? Just what is so amazing?’. 

What do you mean genius… The fact that people look at me like that is like.. It’s probably because I give off the feeling of a philosopher in a small room. I have a lot of thoughts for my age. How the world is, what kind of person I am, what kind of relationship I have with the world… Because I wanted to know things like this, I read Nietzsche, and looked up and read things like Carnegie psychology… Since a young child is having thoughts like that, and it gets expressed through music… that’s why they think I’m a genius.  

Since you’re a 21-year old investigating the existential root and relationship of the world and one’s self-conscience, it seems a bit new. There are many things in the world to be enjoyed simply, and the more simple it is, there’s the aspect of life being easier and more fun, so just why do you have such complicated thoughts? 

It’s kind of like a Middle School 2nd Year syndrome (laughter). But the 2nd year syndrome isn’t only a bad thing. I started writing poetry since my 2nd year of elementary school. Since then, I think I was obsessed with despair and loneliness, and the relationship between my self-conscience and the world. Among the poems I wrote then, there was a poem where I compared myself with a fallen leaf, but I feel enjoyment out of dividing myself and the world, looking into that, and thinking about it. A feeling that feels like I’m living, it feels like I’m doing something. Ah! There are times where I feel like a genius. Times when I think ‘Oh, how did I write this?’. Even after I write it, there are times I get assurance in it being ‘wow!’ quality, and when I show that to people, I sometimes get the same feedback. Although it can be viewed as narcissism, ‘it seems like I have the ability to catch what really touches people’, is the thought I get. But times like that are very short, and most of the time, it’s a repetition of frustration and pain.

Please explain further on your times of failure and pain. People like listening to others’ times of frustration and pain, especially one of a genius (laughter).

Frustration was like, something that came to me hundreds of times a day. I’m currently working on the next Bangtan album, but I worked on my mixtape for awhile. However, the styles between those two are completely different. So I would get stuck at each word and each lyric, then become frustration… For a short story as an example, I only had to make a few words from last night at 9 to this morning, but I just kept doing other things till 2:30 AM. I went online to a community and looked at posts, looked at useless comics, and saw the news… And while doing that, I turned my computer back on at 7 AM and started making it. Once I write it like that and get the thought of, ‘Huh? I like this. I have confidence in this’, then I feel very happy and enjoyable, but that kind of moment doesn’t come easily. That’s why it’s hard. I think like, ‘ah, I know how to do this much, but I can’t even do this’… I wonder if this is the ‘pain of creation’ that people talk about. However, I have to win through it. I need to win through it.

Why are you releasing a mixtape? When I see the path that BTS has walked on during the last few years, I feel like you guys have been fighting the prejudiced thought that ‘Idols are doing hip-hop? Do you guys know hip-hop?’, but is that part of it?

That also is a part of it. When I see GD or Zico hyungnim, they’re very good at doing music, but there are people that still don’t acknowledge them for the sole reason that they are idols. First off, I’m releasing a mixtape because I have confidence, but if there are those who won’t acknowledge that it’s hip-hop even when I’m doing all this, then there’s nothing more I can do… I have a thought like that. 

It sounds a bit like a solemn determination. 

Yes, I’m solemnly determined. My heart’s determined, the songs on my mixtape are determined… (laughter). I personally want to establish myself using this. It would be me personally making a starting point. It’s like a kind of thesis on what kind of person I am that I personally organized. In one word, it’s like I finished the first unit.

Is working on Bangtan’s album much different from Rapmon’s personal music?

It’s different. The music that Bangtan aims for is ‘youth’. Bangtan’s music is where we concentrate on the thoughts and worries that people in their late 10′s and early 20′s would have and speak for them. However, my music is just myself. My music is something that just shows the inner darkness, worries, greed, hideosity, etc that I have. Everything of myself that’s inside of me.. Erm.. It’s very two-faced, lonely, being lonely, wanting to be lonely, and hurting because of being lonely, but that I don’t dislike loneliness just because of that… It has my inner self of wandering around. Also… I think that any person is two-faced, where they can be a devil and an angel… And I think that the person who has both sides to the extreme is me. I don’t want to try and hide that, and wish to show it very well to people through music.

You recently released a collaboration song with Warren G… But I had the thought that thoe who are more interested in Rapmon than in Bangtan would really enjoy that song. How was it like working with Warren G?

There are two things that Warren G told me that I will never be able to forget. The first is, hip-hop is open to any one. Despite what your race is or where you’re from, hip-hop is a type of music that is always ready to give you space for anyone who enjoys hip-hop. So, don’t restrain yourself behind any type of prejudiced thought, and the other one was you’re doing well, so no matter what others say, believe in yourself and do what you want. Although it’s something that anyone says, I think it touched me even more because he was the one to say it to me. He has a habit of saying, “It’s so good.” But I think that it became a sort of spell. Someting like Hakuna Matata. ‘It’s so good’, when I think of that phrase lately, my hearts becomes at rest a bit more.

I heard that you fell for hip-hop at the age of 14 and basically lived at a Hongdae hip-hop performance arena, which led you to where you are at today. 

That’s right. During the days where I went to see performances in Hongdae, Supreme Team was really popular. Those 4 teams set the path of ‘what kind of music I need to do in the future’ for me.

Although all four have different inclinations, all their lyrics were just so real that I couldn’t help but have the thought that I want to do music like these people too. I thought that they were people who speak of real stories in an even more real way than the actual real story.

I’m curious about the first set of lyrics you wrote. What kind of story it was about, and what kind of real story you talked about. 

Although I don’t remember the title… It was on September in 2007. I made a song through an amateur producer’s beat on Jungle Radio ('Daum' hip-hop community), but I think it was really influenced by Eminem at the time. “Put away the unhappiness mixed with bluffs, and knock down dominoes, I plan to go out like this.” It was something like that. It doesn’t even make sense. Why would you knock down dominoes? Mixing bluffs… (laughter) It was when I was 14, but I think what I wanted to say in conclusion is the same as what it is now. 

Although hip-hop is a genre of music, it seems like a type of religion and philosophy. Just what is hip-hop? Just what is it that guys seem to go crazy over it?

Defining hip-hop is the same as trying to define love. If there are 6 billion people in the world, then there are 6 billion definitions of love, and like that, each definition of hip-hop is different for each person. Of course, it’s possible to give a dictionary definition. In 1970, there was a person called DJ Herc in South Bronx. At a party that he was hosting, he set breaks on a beat and during that break, someone would be rapping, someone would be dancing, and someone else would be doing graffiti… That’s how hip-hop was born, and they call that the 4 elements of hip-hop, but dictionary definitions like these is something anyone knows, but to explain that spirit… In one word, it’s something that can’t be explained. It’s a way that expresses me as well as being a meaning for freedom and rebelling. Because it’s something where people play and have fun with, it can have messages of peace and love placed in it. If you compare it to a Pokemon, it’s like a Ditto. Personally, hip-hop to me is the world. The world that I’m living in… It’s difficult, right? To be honest, it’s still hard for me too. 

Maybe it’s because I don’t know much about hip-hop, but there are many aspects of hip-hop culture or clothing that I’m unable to understand easily. The hanging gold necklaces, gun fires, images like that… I also don’t really understand the term ‘swag’ that is used often.

The culture of shooting guns and doing drugs is not the actual self of hip-hop. It’s just become a by-product that appeared around hip-hop music, it’s not the actual self of hip-hop. Although there’s a certain image that pops up clearly when you think of hip-hop fashion, that’s also becoming something that’s more broad. Look at A$AP Rocky or Kanye West. They don’t wear pants that drag around any more. To understand ‘swag’, you need to understand what kind of meaning ‘making it on your own’ has in hip-hop. Making it on your own is a very cool and important concept in hip-hop. I’ll use Jay-Z as an example. Jay-Z was a drug dealer. He’s someone that sold drugs on the rooftop of a very large stadium called Barclays Center, but he succeeded and bought that building. After buying that building, he dressed up in hip-hop and then went up to the rooftop and looked down at that building. Then they took a picture of that and posted it. After seeing that, everyone died. Kya… Just how cool is that? Jay-Z had a song a long time ago that was called ‘99 Problems’, but he raps “I’m someone with a lot of problems, but I don’t have any problems with women?”, yet he ended up marrying Beyonce later. Isn’t that amazing? Starting off as a drug dealer, becoming the best wealthy person, and marrying the most amazing woman in the world. I think that gives dreams and hopes to men. Showing that off and revealing it to the world is called ‘swag’. Even when they show it off very openly, you can’t hate or dislike it. Because they started from the bottom and made it on their own.

Going back to fashion, the fans’ complaints towards Rapmon’s fashion is quite notorious… (laughter) 

Because I’m really into gothic looks, I only wear monotone colors, but there are fans who dislike it and say that I look like a monk or a magician. I saw a Rick Owens show a few years ago, but it was really cool. I watched it, mesmerized, wondering, ‘what are those black clothes?’. However, gothic look clothing needs not only money, but a lot of courage as well. Just how bad could it be that I would be called a monk. However, I really like this. I think that I’m able to express all the worries and the loneliness that I have through my clothes styling. I feel like I haven’t even dipped 10% into it, but I plan to go to the end.

You have been garnering a lot of interest as a sexy-brained man, but I heard that Rapmon’s ideal type is also a ‘sexy-brained woman’. What kind of woman is a ‘sexy-brained woman’ to Rap Monster?

First off, they have to have their own thoughts and be subjective. Not for something that’s wrong in morals, but they need to be subjective with their own thoughts in order to express that without any discomfort. And while they speak during that process, things like that touch me. In one word, it’s when I feel that I’m able to learn something from this person, I want to know about this person even more, if I talk with this person, I feel like my mind will become richer. Someone who gives off feelings like those is a sexy person. I also like someone who understands loneliness. I hope it would be someone who can respond with ‘Ah, I think I know what you mean’ instead of ‘Why are you always lonely?’ when I speak of loneliness. 

Ultimately, what does Rap Monster want to tell the world through hip-hop, or is there something you want to say to yourself?

I just want to say that I’m like this right now, I’m this kind of person and I’ve lived like this, but I’m having these kinds of thoughts right now. And in the future, I’ll be like this… People want to have assurance towards their existence to no end. I think the reason I do music is that while speaking of my stories through music, I’m able to confirm the reason to my existence. I don’t want to be a petty person,but someone who remains in history. Because it’s a life that you only get one chance with, I want to influence people endlessly, give hopes, and become someone who can become a dream. Until then, I plan to continue on forth. Because that will become something that confirms the worth to my existence to the world and something that can personally confirm myself as to who I am.

I know a lot of writers who sometimes struggle with that knowledge, bc many have read or heard that rpf is bad or wrong or whatever, but i really think that most writers here have found a good way to handle it, and know how to write them without… stripping them off their humanity and the fact that they’re actual people who deserve respect. It’s a nice thing to know that and be assured, bc i think it is indeed very important to remember that, especially in fic where you could theoretically write whatever. To me, really, it’s not even like i’m actively writing about them, to be honest. How could I really write about them? I don’t know them. Their fic versions to me are characters, i’m making up a character that is based on their irl person, but that’s… where i draw the line somehow. Fic is about creativity and writing stories and characters, and yes they are greatly based on the actual person, but you can never know if what you write what they’re doing is something they would actually do. Another thing in this aspect is also that 5sos straight up… seem to accept it exists? Idk where or in which interview it was. But they’ve never explicitly said that they think it’s dumb or weird or that fans should stop it. If they did say that, i would stop in a heartbeat. But they seem to be okay with it, and they don’t interact with it, so it’s not bothering them, and it’s very much only here on tumblr/ao3, so it’s like… who cares? And there really are some fucking amazing fics out there, no matter if it’s a hundred or two hundred thousand words. There are so many beautiful fics that handle the most interesting stories and issues and honestly, some of them are just straight up better than some books i’ve read. Week 2

Let’s both pretend I didn’t claw myself out of bed onto campus bright and early for a workshop that wouldn’t start for another week last week.

A genius of our modern age, I know. 

With that out of the way it’s time to get started! This week we’ve started to delve into the foundational steps of game design, the first being to write a compelling “Elevator Pitch”. This is a very brief rundown of what your game aims to be including its goals, unique selling points and basic control scheme. Having never touched GDevelop before and knowing that most of my ideas are going to be well above and beyond what can be achieved in this unit; I present to you my Week 2 Magnum Opus in the form of my first elevator pitch:

ELEVATOR PITCH

Game Title: Eyes On Me

Eyes On Me is a simple yet addictive platformer where you guide your character through a colorful, vertically-scrolling world. It's like Doodle Jump meets Super Mario Bros., as you bounce from platform to platform, collect power-ups, and avoid obstacles to reach new heights and beat your high score. Whatever you do, don’t let the camera lose sight of you though! For outside the bounds of the camera's view lies oblivion.

Game Controls: (A) Move Left, (D) Move Right, (W) Jump 

Unique Selling Points:

As time progresses the player and camera move and pan faster, creating a fun scaling difficulty system.

Camera is independent of character movement and acts as a kill barrier.

Collect unique special abilities found throughout the levels.
