Kendall’s getting ready for work.

It’s 5am. You’re slowly waking up, covers brought up under your chin tightly. Cushy and warm. Your eyes will drift shut, but then fabric will shift, a scratchy, almost inaudible sound. A drawer will be drawn; hollow, smooth. You swear your eyes are flung open, but by the time you’re seeing, he’s already in the act of whatever he was beginning to do when the noise was made. Long fingers push beneath his waistband to straighten his shirt; a tie is picked out that he’ll inevitably forego.

This should be routine. Monotony, really, but sometimes, you’re eased from that space into one of almost a third party observer. It’s very intimate; you feel like a voyeur. Privileged to watch him in this space, where not many have seen him. He sits on the edge of the bed and ties his shoes tight. His shoulders tremble a bit with the effort. The hairs at the nape of his neck are longer with new growth. You want to scratch his back.

When he rounds the corner of the bed to come say goodbye, you feel caught. You’ve never been good at pretending to be asleep, or, pretending to have just been asleep, and this knowing, almost suspicious smile slides easily across his face. A wordless, quick kiss before leaving, one that’s usually left as is. But this morning you chase him, sit up straighter in the bed to try and press your lips back to his. He says your name like he’s scolding you, lips pulled away just enough to be noticed, to make a statement, but his eyes glitter, pinch a little in delight.

“I never ask you for anything-“

“Uh-huh-“

“Just- just five minutes?”

The bed sinks a little as his knee presses into it. It’s almost a shot of adrenaline- your stomach heats, scalp tingles, body comes alive with anticipation. The thrill of success.

“Five minutes?”

He’s leaning in over you, smile warm with affection.

“Well- maybe six?”

He doesn’t laugh, but he huffs through his nose and kisses you again and that’s good enough. Your body’s still stiff and sore from sleep, but you roll and lean up into him, and the tip of his nose feels good when it nudges against your cheek, into your aching sinuses. His hand is up under your shirt, palm pressed against the heft of your breast and lifting, fingertips dimpling the skin, just enough to make your stomach clench. You’re trying to be respectful of the effort he’s put into getting ready; your hands are on his neck, pads of your fingers against the back to pull him forward, the rest to gently guide him. Its like you were consciously made to wait during your sleeping hours- and that you were conscious of it. When his tongue smooths over yours, you moan.

Kendall’s phone is in his hand almost the same second he’s pulling away. You watch him open up the clock app, set a fucking timer for five minutes. He taps the screen as he sets it down onto the bed beside you, starting it.

“Seriously?”

“Yes,” he sounds firm-

But you don’t take it seriously at all.

The illusion of urgency did make it so much more exciting, though. Rushing and struggling around each other to get naked enough. Panting, giggling when you bump a knee against a leg, an elbow against a chest. When the leather of his shoes catches on the sheets as he tries to separate your legs even further.

He’s so big you feel it in your hips. It sets all your joints ablaze, makes you sob. Your knees tremble, liquified. He grunts and tips your hips to make this easier for him, to give him easier access to the places that make you cry.

“Is that good?”

“Yeah-“

A hand runs over your thigh.

“You’re shaking already,” he’s making fun of you.

You laugh, the sound little more than wobbly puffs of air.

“Yeah it’s just really- mmph- really hitting the spot?” It was stupid and meant to be a joke but you still flush at it, especially when his laughter seems almost startled. “You know?”

“Well I hope this, uh, satiates you- that it’s enough for you.”

The head of his cock nudges some spot that practically makes you jump. Makes your clit throb in this near-sharp, maroon tenderness. The crisp neatness of his appearance has been forgotten, your fingers gripping the back of his shirt so tight the wrinkles might be set into the fabric forever. He bites your neck hard, in that spot beneath the junction of your ear and jaw. He doesn’t know how he’s supposed to pull away, when that timer goes off, or even long after. You’re begging him not to already, saying please, sounding so fraught, over and over in this way that makes him moan, that compels him in ways little else does.

But then, it goes off, and something else compels him, too.

“That’s five minutes,” he says it like you didn’t know, or trust him. Like he feels sorry for you that the time had passed. Your hand reaches over, struggles to grab the phone to stop what you were sure was the loudest, most abrasive alarm ever made. He's still going, slower, maybe to see if you could get there, definitely not just because it makes him melt to see how badly you need him.

“N-no it hasn’t been,” there’s real desperation there, but you’re also positive he’s messing around, and that you’re just playing along.

“Please-“

He isn’t, though. He stops completely, sees the way you slump in disbelief, hurt. It’s mean but he grins, teeth pressing into his lip, cheeks, into his vision. When he slips out you both can’t help but look, see the way he’s still hard -it aches, honestly- see the shine on him and the way it beads in certain places. It looks even pinker nestled between the opened fly of his cool toned slacks. You both make a noise at it- a whimper, a staggered breath. You push yourself to sit upright but he still pulls away, feels his fingers itch with the urge to wrap around himself and tug- it’d probably only take a few times, the rush of denying you almost better than giving you what you want.

Instead, he stands beside the bed, clenches his jaw as he attempts to right himself, trembling and panting, cheeks and lips flushed. Somehow he finds it within himself to ignore the way you’re practically prostrating yourself for him on the bed, chest flush with the sheets, hips raised above, less to entice him and more to stop yourself from grinding against the fabric for something. It feels silly, but your eyes sting.

“Kendall-“

He kisses the top of your head. He doesn’t really have to be on time.

“I’ll see you tonight.”

just a little update here to say sorry i'm kinda absent lately im dealing with my mental health (bad) and my job suddenly doubling my hours (also bad) the last two weeks on top of that but i'm still writing albeit very very slowly lol. i'm struggling with tnp and bc so progress has been spotty and i've been working on a short story just to force myself to write something even if it's bad 💀

#been playing the new stardew valley update also i love hte new meadowlands farm.... perfect for me #the short story is the cyberpunk one i've mentioned before sorry its not IF anymore #mainly just dumping some Thots and Feelings into it. we'll see what happens since currently my record for finishing and #publishing stuff is Bad right now cus i can't ever come up with an ending... lmfao #i DID finish some dialogue choices for tnp the other day which felt like a huge accomplishment. we're really writing like 3 sentences #a day right now...rip

The overdress is all in one piece! And we have sleeves! With bonus screen accurate Rhaenyra ring!

Work has been extra weird this week, but weird in a way that's given me more time to iron and pin and sew than I usually have. So I was able to get through that long list of pressing tasks from my last post, and then pin the two front panels to the side panels (which are already sewn to the back panels), pin the back seams of the sleeves, and sew those four seams earlier today.

With those seams done, the sleeves are sleeve-shaped and the dress is basically dress-shaped. All of those new seams need pressed, and the sleeve seams will need to be hand-finished since the black silk organza is a bit itchy on its cut edges. There's just one more body seam left to sew for the dress, the center front seam, and then the little shoulder seams.

There's quite a lot of finishing to be done, both on the dress and the sleeves. In the above pic, the sleeve is just clamped closed at the underside of the wrist, and once it has its hooks-and-eyes it'll fit a lot more smoothly. And then there's all the seam finishing for the dress, hemming the neck and armscyes and skirt edge, and handsewing on all the trim and beading. Lots to do!

I've been working little by little on the handsewing for the seams finishes for the underdress, and then it will need all its hemming too. But when possible I've been trying to focus on the overdress, because if it came down to it, I would rather have the overdress done and leave the underdress somewhat unfinished. But today is exactly 15 weeks until I have to pack for Dragon Con, so I've still got time, and I'm hoping I can get everything finished to my liking in the time remaining.

Besides the dress itself, I still have a few things to do on the wig, and I've been tracking down the jewelry pieces one by one, and I may actually end up making one piece that I've been unable to find. I also want to make a little handbag to carry all my stuff at con, but that's definitely on the nice-to-have list.

Some days I feel like I'll be able to get through this whole project with time to spare, and other days I feel like I'm going to be working on it up until the very last moment, and maybe have to cut corners to get it done. Getting through this last portion of machine sewing and into all the extensive handsewing will hopefully give me a better idea of how long the whole thing will take.

But, of course, I'm already having Ideas™ about what other cosplays I could make for Dragon Con this year, if I do end up having time at the end of the summer. One of them would be pretty straightforward, and I could use the same pattern as this project with just a few modifications, and I already have at least most of the materials I would need to complete it. The other one is completely ridiculous, with tedious machine sewing and handsewing, but damn it would be fun.

Welp. I guess if I want to have any hope of finishing this cosplay and maybe one or two more after that, I should probably get back to it. My iron awaits!

I am so pleased.

I finally set my last notebook to rest, so it’s time for a new one (Patreon)

#Doodles #It took a long time! Having three concurrent notebooks at a time will do that #I'm used to only having two at a time but I think three is going to become my new regular #One for sketches - studies and random concepts and scribbly comics to be cleaned up in SAI at a later time #One for more finished paper art - not necessarily Fancy but lineless y'know lol a bit more proper as far as I'm concerned #And then a true free for all lol anything allowed! Basically a stream-of-consciousness captured to page #For now I've got the latter two covered I'm currently vetting the slightly-more-focused lined notebook #It was from a bit ago and I was being silly at the time haha but the first one is from a new brand I'm testing out #It feels good! It's grippy but not in a scratchy way and it accepts graphite and pigment well #I haven't tested pen bleed yet tho that'll be next on my list #The second is an old standby - not my favourite but one that is very easy to acquire and I know what to expect of it #It's also the same as my free-for-all notebook but that's really neither here nor there lol - I'm not likely to mix them up #The only thing I've really noticed so far is the new brand takes a bit more cleaning because its margin line bleeds a bit more than normal #It's not bad but I can see it getting annoying - pros and cons #The second two are just normal sona thoughts #I miss my spider. I've looked out at where I buried them every day since but it feels more manageable #It feels more approachable like I'll be able to talk about it with the sellers when we're able to go to see them #I do hope they don't think less of me for it...#And then the last haha - my Vargas immunity is currently basically zero so any outside mention of them is overwhelming #I got about three lines into a fic and had to stop lol - I still really want to read it! my shit ass gamer chair has developed a quirky lil issue where the seat won't stay up and is constantly sinking down and there's nothing i can do about it. it'll last for like 2 hours and then i just can't use it anymore. and i don't feel good asking my parents for a replacement we do not have that money rn. and i apparently don't know how to tell if a chair is going to be good before it gets here (i chose this chair. it's lasted less than a year) so i would have to ask my parents to figure it out for me and they don't have that time. so. i'm kinda just. not able to use my computer for very long. so that's awesome.

idk i think it's so funny I went down a survival horror game rabbit hole when a) I'm too freaking anxious for horror games I will make myself cry, b) it was all PS2 stuff which is extra funny bc I've never even played on someone else's playstation let alone had one, i was always a wii kid lol. but now my brain is like ah yes. time to consume everything I can about games I can't even play and that are stupid expensive/hard to get now

#also i love that people draw jennifer from rule of rose and fiona from haunting ground together #they're just two girls with their dogs and in horrible situations and you know im glad they get to have dogs #any game where i get to have a pet is alright by me even if shit is otherwise majorly fucked #anyway. i do need to play pathologic. it's funny bc in theory it is really the kind of thing I'd like bc there's so much stuff to uncover #plus i think classic HD (which is the version i have) fixes the bad translation so it's not even like it's too hard to understand #at least only hard to understand in the intended pathologic-y way anyway #and i really really like the soundtrack #and everything I've watched and read about it is sick as hell (no pun intended) so i think the thing making me unable to get into it is the #actual experience of playing it. like it's funny how much of an asshole dankovsky is but that doesn't mean I *want* to play as an asshole #its funny the only time i really like playing that way is in skyrim bc im just. greenish elf that picks everyone's locks bc it was the first #thing i figured out and characters will just ???? let me fucking do it??? (i say having gotten arrested in whiterun like immediately)#i guess because I'm not invested in any of the characters yet because i havent had time to sit down and really play it #i guess that'd kind of be the way i play in lotro but that's more just me not interacting with other players #fun fact i think i still have one of the earliest fellowship quests sitting unfinished bc i can never form groups to finish them #i don't think I'll even ever get good at lotro though honestly #more just knowing what buttons to spam #idk i played hunter FOREVER but minstrel is really really growing on me #even though some of the skills are kinda wasted since i only ever play alone #anyway what was i talking about

So since watching rrr, I’ve been diving into Indian movies. This is just a helpful list for me to keep track of what I’ve watched so far. What I watch is just based upon what I can get my hands on and whatever comes up first. I also have a few movies I’ve started but not finished for various reasons that I plan to go back to. I also try to watch films in their original languages.

RRR (first Indian film. Amazing movie 10/10)

Baahubali: The Beginning (the first 30 minutes to 1 hr of this is so very confusing, but after that i enjoyed every second of both movies. Was a very good time)

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion

Article 15 (crime drama. First major run in with the caste system in Indian movies i encountered.)

Acharya ( it sure was a film. Subtitles weren't great, and it was very slow. Enjoyed it tho)

Rangasthalam (I liked this one pretty good, fav of Ram Charan I’ve see rn. Only three rn tho. His films are hard to find for some reason :( )

Aravinda Sametha (This was pretty good, but very slow at points, JR NTR film. About factions and trying to end the cycle of violence. LI was good, but so dumb in places. She’s studying factions, but seems to be so ignorant about them??? July 1: Just learned the version I watched cut like 20 minutes from the film lmao. Like at least the funeral scene got cut. I think a few songs got cut. I wonder how many different bits of films I’ve missed 💀 Might explain some of the pacing issues I’d come across.)

Janatha Garage (Subtitles were so so bad, but fav of JR NTR’s so far.)

K.G.F Chapter 1 (1 and 2 are really really good. the love story is pure Stockholm syndrome tho rip.)

K.G.F Chapter 2

Jana Gana Mana (really good movie. Courtroom drama. Feels pro cop at the beginning then becomes a critique of media culture and corrupt systems i think?)

Adhurs (double NTR’s! It was okay, not the best but a fun time. One i watched was like a third hand rip and would pause to load in a lot of places, so dramatic moments were lost)

Kaithi (fav movie rn. Going through the single night was aces. Seeing the sun come up at the end was very satisfying. Getting to know Gilli over the course of the movie was a+)

Master (good move. The scene in the middle where he shaves the kids heads was a little :/ cause invasion of body autonomy like that always makes me sour on stuff a little bit.)

Pushpa: The Rise (love the body language of the main actor. really good. Can’t wait for the second part)

Bruce Lee: The Fighter (Had fun watching it. Tw suicide attempt tho. The Chiranjeevi cameo was fun. )

Govindudu Andarivadele (Ram Charan film. Weird edits. Why did the character get over his friend deceiving him with the wrong picture. Feeling weird about the cousin love thing, but otherwise pretty good! Cried at the end of this. I think my version was cut weird cause I like cut out Abhi getting shot and then like his dad reacting? Music cues were also all weird?)

Beast (fun movie I think. MC was interesting. Felt like it would fit in with usa war films tho)

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (liked this film. Laughed a lot during a good fun time with some feels)

Mersal (???? Doctor/magician in the way of Kaito Kid and in that i mean out of left field amazing tricks??? Got to like a fight scene and had to stop cause life. Just pulled a staff out of a bag??? I've seen song videos on youtube and it is very much not this??? So confused. I have since watched more and loving it. Verti(SP?) is very sim to Kaito Kid, but he kills people instead of stealing gems lmao. Loved the ending. Def cried while watching. Leaving prev notes cause they a little live blog of thoughts.)

Brindavanam (the edits in this are wack as shit. Makes no sense rn, but it compels me NTR JR. Love triangle??? induced by original LI??? Into the back half. They are now trying to get out of the problems the fake dating has caused lol. Edits have def calmed down. fun ending. They didn’t present a solution to the love triangle lol which I think is for the best)

Sarkar (interesting so far. My dad started watching it with me, it almost made him late for work cause he got pulled in lol, so I can’t continue without him :(. Finished it! Really liked this movie. Soundtrack was really good)

Secret Superstar (feels filled movie. I liked this one)

Vikram Vedha (I was rooting for Vedha through out the whole movie lol. They said Vikram was a honorable cop, but he straight up shot a man who had surrendered and engineered multiple encounters)

Petta (It was okay. Not really my favorite, and kinda felt disconnected. Was not a big fan of the end either. It felt like a twist for a twist sake. :/)

Jai Bhim (Really liked this movie. It was really well done. Every moment really gripped you. Sangani's story was heartbreaking 10/10)

Etharkkum Thunindvavan (a heavy movie inregarding sexual violence, but good. Feels a little heavy handed in it's message at times, but that just may be me. Seems like it might have a sequal in the future based upon the ending? I'll be looking out for it.)

Pada (about a 1996 protest for the rights of the adivasi people. Very well done and thought provoking movie. Unfortunately the subtitles just. didn't translate some lines???? Like important ending the movie lines. Rip the amazon prime and their subtitle contractor. I swear every movie is subtitled/translated horribly)

Forensic (really interesting movie. The story it wove was very dramatic. Little of the rails at times tho)

Thimmarsu (fun movie with some action and drama. What a twist at the end)

Maharshi (interesting movie. A nice story with a good? message. Main actor wasn’t my fav tho)

Uyare (a good movie. Loved Pallavi)

Anjaan (The reveal bits were some of the funnest parts of the movie. It was fun to watch. idk what else to say about it. Was hoping for a double roll but it was not to be rip.)

Bigil (I really liked this film even the sport parts which I don’t always go for. Loved the combo of action film with sport film.)

Bairavaa (I liked it. A good Vijay film. The plan that was spun was cool)

Bloody Mary (Loved this movie. Was a good fun time. Loved the soundtrack, but I can’t find it anywhere rip)

Theri (loved the relationship between Vijay and his daughter. Made me miss Ice and Talapathy from Mersal tho 😔. The bits were he pretended to be a ghost were really good)

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (cried like a baby while watching this movie. It was really good.)

DJ Duvvade Jagammadham (DJ was an interesting character. A fun movie, but also hate how it leaves DJ still going around killing people lmao)

Veetla Vishesham (Was a good time. Wish it focused a little more on the brothers, but would recommend it.)

Lucifer (Really loved this one. It was so good. Cannot wait for the squeal and the Chiranjeevi remake)

Dangal (Really Really good. Loved this movie a lot)

Kilometers and Kilometers (A good movie. Moved me to tears at times and was a really good watch)

Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum (lovely movie. I liked it a lot. The old man’s plight being thrust forward was really good)

3 idiots (really liked this film. The romance did nothing for me though. Loved the relationship between the core three. big tw for suicide tho)

Kaththi (It was pretty good. Really liked it)

Jai Lava Kusa (NTR in a triple role was really really good. Liked this one a lot)

Taare Zameen Par (really good movie. Ishaan was the best. Loved it so much)

Maaran (interesting movie. I liked it the relationship between the Maaran and his sister was really good)

Om Shanti Om (sad fun film. It was good, but not my favorite)

Dasvi (interesting and fun film. Loved the MC’s quest to complete his education)

Godse (no idea how to feel about this film. It was good and I liked it. Watching Godse’s story unwind was def a one punch to the gut after another)

Kapoor and Sons (another really good movie. the last like 45 minutes just like rips out your heart and hands it to you on a platter. Would have loved to see the brother hug at the end tho)

Thaana Serndha Koottam (A fun movie loved all the biplay and plans in this movie. Really good)

Imaikkaa Nodigal (interesting film. The slow discovery of what was going on was really fun.)

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (It was a good movie and I liked it. Hard to get through on account of everything Maanvi goes through. Would have loved to see Manu apologize like straight out)

Started But Not Finished (plan to finish them tho) (given up on keeping track of this lmao)

Badhaai DO (Queer movie. Like what I've watched so far. need to finish it)

Gangubai Kathiawadi (stars sita’s actress, barely started it, but looks good)

Radhe Shyam (idk what to make of this movie?? Watched cause Prabhas but rom coms aren't my thing all that much)

Don (sure is something? love story comedy thing. Clicked cause i saw it trending on some chart and I'm not really vibing with it)

Lagaan (really good. Has a CW actor in it which i did not expect to see in any shape or form. Gotta watch the actual match now. Really long)

Mirchi (Prabhas movie. MC seeks to change LI factionist family I think?? Subtitles are not helping me)

Super Deluxe (mixed feeling on this one. On one hand Trans woman whose identity is treated seriously, but on the other hand she’s hate crimed almost every second she’s on screen and is played by a cis man. The other two storylines are fun, except for the fatphobia which is :/)

Yevadu (sure is an experience. fun revenge plot Ram Charan film)

Magadheera (the film is really dragging for me right now rip)

Rang De Basanti (interesting film. Liking this one. sad and thought provoking with some fun times. Hitting the end rn)

Night Drive (almost half way through. Liking it so far. Interesting setup for the plot)

Tughlaq Durbar (about a third of the way through. Split personality thing is throwing me off, so idk if I'll finish it)

Khaidi No. 150 (it’s a fun movie. The fact that LI is played by the same actress that’s the same age as Ram Charan and was also the LI in one of his movies is majorly throwing me off)
