angstpril day 29
hello! very excited about this one, it was one of the first i wrote. do i know why it came into my brain? nope LMAO but here we are - also if anyone remembers me talking about a decapitation fic, this is it, we have arrived
i thought i would be able to do more angstpril but life has really gotten in the way so this will be my last one probably and i'll save the drafts i have for something later :)
i did not post to ao3 because i definitely think i am going to expand this one in the future!!!
also please laugh at this outline thing i wrote before starting-  “Sitsoka is now Yam Dooky’s apprentice bc reasons”
prompt: going dark
[summary: Sith!Ahsoka has a familiar senator to assassinate, and an old master to avoid]
tw: major character death and decapitation
-
The job should be easy.
Padme was normally very visible at these events. Her idealism and love for the downtrodden always pulled her further into the spotlight. An admirable trait, but not a smart one.
The Naboo squadron of guards she kept would be virtually useless against Ahsoka’s abilities. They kept up the façade of protection, but they were no match for someone well-trained in the force.
It was perfect.
Ahsoka could just show up, and her lightsaber would make quick work of the senator.
Plans were made to be altered. A saying from her former master, but one she took to heart.
If she had to be seen, it wouldn’t foil the mission. This would be her public debut, and as long as no one looked too closely at her eyes, she could play the part of the naïve padawan fairly well.
She’d had years of practice.
No. Anak- Skywalker would be the only issue.
Where Padme went, he followed like a lovestruck idiot. Ahsoka would have the element of surprise, but her former master was stronger than her, both in the force and physically.
Her tongue ran thoughtfully over the newly sharpened canines in her mouth. Perhaps, she’d get to try them out. It’d been too long since she had gotten to properly hunt.
The holocron on her hip buzzed urgently. The gloom of the alleyway was pervasive, but she knew she wouldn’t be seen here.
It didn’t stop the chill from crawling up her back.
Just the pre-mission nerves kicking in.
Dooku’s glowering face rose to meet her as she answered the comm, and Ahsoka decided she had preferred the silence of the haunting passageway.
“What a pleasant surprise, Master.”
“Don’t be coy.”
He never let her have any fun.
“Are you in position?”
“Everything should go smoothly.”
“For your sake, you had better hope that’s true.”
“Always so positive.” She grumbled under her breath.
For an old man, he had stellar hearing, and the sharp look he gave her made her spine straighten infinitesimally.
He ended the call with a familiar glare.
She had everything under control. This would be successful, she’d make sure of it. A chance to finally prove herself.
She didn’t need the Jedi, or Anakin, or even Dooku. No, Ahsoka Tano had only herself to rely on, and she’d never been let down.
Her steps from the alley were quick and measured. Silent on the street, as she swiftly exited the shadier parts of Coruscant. The small smile painted on her face gave her an approachable guise. No one would expect a thing, until it was too late.
Bright lights gleamed in the dark of night, luring her closer to destiny. A winning smile and a wave of her hand, and she was in.
The venue was richly decorated and full of sycophants. Gaudy gold pieces littered the walls, staining them with their elaborate decadence.
So garish.
Padme’s touch was visible in the lavish floral centerpieces, a staple of Naboo. Yet, there was no sign of the full skirts, and dazzling smile Ahsoka needed.
She prowled the top level, ignoring any attempt at conversation, and tried to find her prey.
Down on the first floor near the doorway.
A familiar senator accompanied by the cause of Ahsoka’s eternal rage.
Senator Amidala laughed at one of Skywalker’s jokes, exuding pure happiness.
Ahsoka couldn’t look at them.
Abandoning her and then moving on as if she’d never mattered-
She couldn’t let her anger undermine the mission, no matter how justified it was. She scanned for someone suitable, there.
She grabbed hold of the Rodian’s feeble mind, seeking in like inky tar, and urged him to yell “Fire!”
As she’d expected, the crowd swarmed for the exit. Ahsoka vaulted over the railing in the chaos, ignoring the screams and hysteria.
Oh this was too easy.
Making sure she couldn’t be seen from behind, she crept toward the senator and her entourage.
There wouldn’t be a way to avoid him.
“Anakin!”
“Snips?” His head whipped around and his eyes were round with disbelief.
“Hey Skyguy.” She kept her tone playful, her head tilted downward to hide the edge of her smirk.
“Yo-You’re alive?”
She knew the grin on her lips was positively feral.
"Oh, I'm alive."
"Ahsoka, I-I'm so glad." His arms reached toward her, and her step back was instinctual.
"We'll have to save the pleasantries, master." She swallowed her anger, letting it fuel the growing pit in her stomach.
"I'm here for... something else." Her eyes darted to Padme.
"Wha"-
Showtime.
She vaulted over the table separating her and Padme. The feeble guards around the senator could’ve been for show with how quickly she dismantled them. Her lightsaber cut through the duo with ease and Ahsoka felt the familiar thrill run through her.
Skywalker was still too shocked to be of much threat, but she knew he wouldn’t be down for long. Not when it came to Padme.
Her Togrutan roots sung as she finally captured her prey. Ahsoka bared her teeth in victory, daring anyone, daring him, to come closer.
“What are you doing? This isn’t you!” Oh, he wanted to play this game.
“Yes, yes, where has your snippy little padawan gone?”
She could hear the anger in her voice, but she was too far gone to stop.
“Oh I remember, you left her on Mortis!”
His eyes widened with something akin to hurt. But, Ahsoka wasn’t going to believe his little display.
“We-We thought you were dead, Ahsoka I would never”-
“I don’t care.”
The red of her lightsaber hovered threateningly against Padme’s neck.
Ahsoka leaned down to purr directly in Padme’s ear.
“I did always like you better."
A small quiver ran through Padme, but that was the only sign of her fear. How impressive.
“Ahsoka, let go of her!”
Her laugh was the only sound in the evacuated ballroom.
“Just stop, and we can talk about this!” His tone was growing more manic, and she relished in it.
Finally, to be the one in control.
She huffed a breath on the senator’s neck and watched her tense. “I hope you can understand, it really is nothing personal.” A murmur just for her.
Her blade sliced across Padme’s neck, forever silencing the idealistic Senator. The severed head dropped to the floor with a sickening finality.
She needed to get out of here. Now.
“Padme!”
Skywalker was dangerous on a normal day, but with the weight of what she’d just done, his wrath would be terrible. Not survivable.
She used the Force to jump away from the carnage of bodies. Distancing herself from the destruction in her wake.
“No, no, no”-
He was cradling Padme’s corpse to his chest, rocking slowly. Seemingly unable to accept the fixedness of her demise.
Pathetic.
But, this was her chance. She moved silently, careful to keep him in her sights, as she approached the exit.
Another job well done. The thought filled her with immense satisfaction.
A hoarse sob echoed throughout the room.
She should kill him.
The thought made her pause. He was alone, no Kenobi to deal with. Vulnerable and hurting.
Want coiled through her, the dark side pulsing seductively. Oh, to take out Skywalker, to repay him for his tutelage, for his abandonment of her.
She peered over at him, an internal debate keeping her rooted by the door.
His head snapped up and their eyes locked. The room chilled considerably, and Ahsoka could taste the Dark Side.
Anakin’s eyes flashed yellow to match her own.
Killing him would be more difficult, now that he’d subconsciously realized the futility of the Light Side. Rage and hurt tended to do that to a person.
She would know.
She’d be better off fleeing the scene, disappearing into the bustling streets of Coruscant.
A second option formed in her mind.
The words she’d been forced to learn, the Sith Code. There are always two-
If she played this right, pretended to have been tricked by Dooku, she could make herself a very useful ally. A few tears, and a sob story of the dark side taking hold of her mind- he’d forgive her. She’d just be the padawan he wasn’t able to protect, the one he’d left behind to this fate.
And then, they could turn their sights to Dooku.
She smirked.  Ahsoka turned and stared into the tumultuous rage pulsing within Anakin Skywalker. Such raw potential.
This was going to be fun.

“Is it alright to feel this way so early? And in my blood, all the sweet nothings fallin' in love overnight” -Softly by Clairo
Anakin was walking amongst the halls with Master Obi-wan and Master Yoda when he felt it, a disturbance in the force. Obi-wan turned to him, “Do you feel it too?” Anakin had merely nodded before taking out his holo device, bringing up a map of the Jedi Temple. His eyes quickly scanned it before finding something out of place, “Look, it’s an unrecognized heat signature in the lower levels of the temple.” Of all the years he’d been living in the temple, he had never visited the lower levels. He knew of its existence and that only certain Jedi, like Master Yoda, could enter. However, he never understood why it was forbidden to enter.
“Master Yoda, what should we do?”
“Go down, you must. Alert the others, I will.” He gave Master Yoda a nod before taking off with Obi-wan. Using the holo map to guide him, he found himself in front of a large steel door. He placed his hand on the door, seeing if it’d budge, but it didn’t move an inch. Beckoning forth the force within him, he imagined the door opening. A warmth that spread from his heart to the tips of his finger, encompassing his entire being until he felt the door shift. Pushing the door open, he put away his holo device, his lightsaber now in his grasp.
“They’re close Master, I can feel it.” Obi-wan took the lead, using the force to guide him to the person they were looking for. It didn’t take the two very long to find them, well more like her. Anakin took notice as to how she was gripping onto the wall for dear life. With her back to them, he couldn’t see her face. Only the outline of her figure, clad in all black. Who are you?
Obi-wan ignited his saber, Anakin following. “Stop right there! Turn around and face us sith!” Oh, so apparently I’m a sith now. Anakin furrowed his eyebrows, why could he hear her thoughts? His ears picked up on the approaching footsteps, as he felt the other Jedi enter the room, his shoulders slightly tensing.
The girl raised her arms slowly, showing defeat. Turning around, his eyes immediately found hers. He watched as her eyes moved across the room until they landed on his. He let his eyes widen for a fraction of a second, before composing himself. He realizes that he’s seen her before, in his dreams. The ones where her beauty overtook him, and they’d spend their time together in the meadows. When he dreamt about her, he felt at peace. He felt whole. Even after waking up, only to find Padme at his side, he could still feel her lingering touch. He had always wondered why the force was showing him visions of her, of their future together. Now, he knew why. He felt a tug in his chest, the force insisting that he move closer. To take you in his embrace and never let go.
He watched as you blinked, licking your lips before uttering his name. He watched as your knees buckled, sending you to the floor. He watched as your eyes shut, your body going limp.
It’s you.
He was angry at the force. Why would they send him to you, after he had gotten married to the love of his life. The force had also shown him visions of Padme and him, their life together. He knew it was one full of joy and happiness, the force assured him of that.
“Anakin? Anakin, I asked you a question,” He was broken out of his reverie by Obi-wan, “Do you know that girl?”
“No, I don’t know her.”
-
Anakin found himself in your room, the steady beeping of the machine was beginning to frustrate him. He needed you to wake, he needed to know why you were here, in this exact moment. Why not earlier? Before he had fallen in love with Padme? He wasn’t sure, all he knew was that he couldn’t leave Padme, especially now that she was carrying his child.
He walked closer to your bed, before sitting on the edge of it. He observed your face, she looks the same. She even smelt the same, like a meadow of flowers with a hint of something fruity. He took his time to observe you, not knowing if he’d ever see you again. What was the Jedi Counsel going to do to you? He gently brushed a lock of hair out of your face, tucking it behind your ear. Brushing his knuckles softly over your cheeks, he was interrupted by his holo device pinging. Signaling that he was needed elsewhere. He didn’t want to leave your side, but he has a life to get back to. He looked at you one last time before swiftly turning away, leaving you alone once more.
-
A few hours later, you regained consciousness. Sound was the first sense that came back to you, and all you could hear was the stupid beeping of the machine. The next sense that came was sight. Your eyes scanned around the room, noticing the IV that was hooked onto you, along with the heart rate monitor attached to your index finger. Using your free hand, you ripped off the monitor and IV, the beeping of the machine stopped, only to be replaced by a flatline sound. Oh my stars, does this thing ever shut up. Before you could make it to the door, it flew open. Obi-wan, Anakin, and Master Yoda walked in.
“Where do you think you’re going, sith.” Obi-wan asked.
You titled you head to the side, “What makes you think I’m a sith?”
“What other force user would be able to cunningly sneak into the temple unnoticed?” Although his face was completely serious, his voice held a sarcastic tone. “Besides, who wears all black in a Jedi temple?” You gave him a pointed look.
“Uh, Anakin. Duh.” Turning to face Anakin, you also gave him a pointed look. Both brows furrowed as you called him out.
“And exactly how do you know Anakin?” Right, you forgot that they were going to question you. Luckily for you, Fury had gone over the plan with you a couple of times, so you knew what to do.
“I’ll tell you, only if you bring me to the Jedi council.”
-
Standing in front of the council was more intimidating than you thought. Especially when your eyes landed on Master Windu’s. You couldn’t tell who was scarier, Fury or Windu. As intimidated as you were, you were also amazed. Gazing through the windows, you could see the flying shuttles and speeders, something Earth certainly didn’t have.
“Right Miss…” There was a pause, they waited for you to say your name.
Remember, no real names. Why? ‘Cause Fury said so, “Alyra.”
“Just Alyra? No last name?” Obi-wan questioned
“Yep,” the pop of your ‘p’ echoed throughout the silent room, “Just Alyra. No middle or last name. Mysterious right?” You said, wiggling your eyebrows, trying to lighten the mood. When no one laughed or cracked a slight smile, you gave them a tight smile. Right, the Jedi don’t like having fun.
“So Miss Alyra, please do tell us why you’re here.” Fu- Master Windu’s voice booms, showing that he isn’t in the mood for jokes.
-
“It’s extremely vital that you explain to the Jedi Council the reasoning for your arrival. And I don’t care how much you admire that Anakin Skywalker, don’t do anything that will forever alter their timeline. We need him to turn, because we need the Death Star.”
“So, you want me to watch and do nothing as Anakin suffers? Absolutely nothing. Also, how the hell am I supposed to acquire the Death Star?”
“Correct, I trust that you can do that. Right, agent L/N? As for the Death Star, just make sure you get close to Skywalker, close enough that he won’t kill you when he turns, but not too close.” You assumed Fury hadn’t watched any of the prequels because Anakin killed and pushed away literally everyone who was close to him.
You swallowed before swiftly nodding, “right.” you replied. Your mouth had gotten dry all of a sudden. You’d be damned if Fury thought you weren’t going to do anything to help Anakin. You couldn’t imagine yourself holding the knowledge of their future, Anakin’s future, and not doing anything to help. You didn’t know what you were going to do, but you sure as hell knew that you weren’t going to sit around idly. Something had to change.
-
How were you supposed to explain to the Council that billions of lives were being threatened, and that the only way to save them was through a weapon that doesn’t exist yet. On top of that, it was a weapon created by the empire. There was no way Fury’s plan was going to work without questions arising, so you created a plan of your own. Of course one that Fury would approve of.
“I’m here because not only is my planet being threatened, but so is yours, and every other planet in this universe. The only way to stop it from happening is if you train me.”
“Before we can even decide on if we should train you or not, please do tell us, how did you find out about our existence.” Taking a deep breath, you composed yourself before telling them the story.
“Long ago, there was a Jedi named George Lucas.” You glanced at Master Yoda, noticing his eyes light up as he remembered him. “He was a powerful Jedi, gifted with foresight. Almost always, his visions came true. One night, he dreamt of the destruction of Coruscant and it’s people. At the time, he didn’t know that it didn’t only affect Coruscant, but the whole universe. Scared of being caught in the destruction, he warned his friends, Jedi or not. Together they fled using the bridge, coming to my home planet. There, they started their new lives. George Lucas then created comics and movies to serve as a reminder to himself and his friends of their home. He did his best to replicate Coruscant, but I must say, it’s more beautiful in person.” I can’t wait to see Naboo though. You smiled, a frown soon emerging. This means that I can never tell Anakin of his future, not even a little. They wouldn’t believe me.
You cleared your throat before speaking again, “If that’s all, I’d like to go for a walk.” You waited for one of the Jedi to reply.
“Alright, you have 30 minutes. We expect you to be back once those 30 minutes are over. In the meantime, we will be discussing your stay here.” Master Windu said, waving his hand to dismiss you.
Quickly walking out of the room, you began to wander around aimlessly. You took in your surroundings, admiring the new environment. Who knows, you were probably going to hate it as time passed. The vibration coming from your chest startled you, picking up the necklace you pressed the button. A hologram of Director Fury and Mr. Stark came up.
“Hey kid, how are you holding up in there?”
“Well, I think I’ve got everything under control. I’ve told them about the mission,” well not really, “So far, everything is going as planned.”
“Alright agent L/N, if that is all, I’ll be ending the call no-”
“Wait, wait, wait! Can I speak to Peter, pretty puhhhleasee! Come on Fury, you owe me this.” You watched as Fury rolled his eyes and huffed out a fine, soon after Peter came into frame. “O. M. G. Peter you’ll never guess where I am.” You panned the device around the hall, showing off the Jedi Temple.
“Holy crap! You're in the freaking Jedi Temple. That’s so cool!” You heard feet shuffling behind you, “Hey, I’ve gotta go, but I’ll call you later Peter. See ya!” You shut off the device before a voice was heard behind you.
“Were you talking to someone?” Anakin’s voice rang out from behind you, turning around you found him resting against a pillar, looking casual as ever.
“Yes I was, Mr. Skywalker. However, that information doesn’t concern your prying ears.” you smirked.
“And that is where you are wrong Miss Alyra. You see it does in fact concern me, do you think the Jedi Council knows of this device.” He strided up to you, gently grasping your necklace. You were able to get a good whiff of his scent, he smelt like strawberries and cinnamon. It was a peculiar combination but it worked together. Honestly, that was probably the most attractive thing about him, besides his face. You could stare at it all day. There was just something so mesmerizing about his face, it demanded your attention.
“Why are you staring at my face?” He asked
“Hmm, oh nothing. I just thought I’d never see you in real life.”
“Real life? What do you mean in real life?” His brows furrowed, making the scar on his face more prominent. Shit, not even a day in Coruscant and you had already blown your cover, “Have you,” He inhales deeply before continuing, “Have you seen me in your dreams too?”
Wait, what? Sure, maybe you had a sexual dream about him every once in a while, but you didn’t expect him to dream about you too. “Umm, yes…?” It’s too late to stick to the original plan now.
“So, you’ve seen it then? Visions of us, in the meadow?”
“Yes, I was… unaware that you were having these dreams too. I thought I was going crazy.” Maybe you are.
“Well, we’ve only known each other for a short period of time, so it wouldn’t be plausible for you to know. However, I do suggest we talk about this tomorrow. I’m afraid we have to get back to the council now.” He motioned for you to go first, following closely behind you. The two of you walked in a comfortable silence until the doors of the Council came into view.
“Well, here goes nothing.”
-
“The Jedi Council has come to the decision that we will train you,” You let out a breath, “But you need to tell us of the threat first.”
“In my system, there is a moon filled with powerful beings. Their greediness and selfishness will ultimately lead to their demise. There was a famine, the poor and weak struggled the most, while the strong thrived for a short amount of time. However, once the food was all gone, everyone perished. Except for one. His name is Thanos. Struck with grief, he sought after power. Enough power to eliminate half of the universe. He…. He wants to spare us the grief of losing our loved ones to selfishness, but fails to realize how much anguish we will be in if half of the universe just disappears. That’s why we need your help. Without your knowledge and technology, we wouldn’t be able to save the universe. But once my training is over, I will need others to help me.” There was a pause, you let the words sink in before speaking again, “Like I said, they are powerful beings. But even they cannot survive a famine. The only reason Thanos survived was because he was exiled. An acquaintance of mine saw this, through a vision. So it hasn’t happened yet, but it will soon. So the sooner I can get trained, the better. But I will need others to train with me too. I cannot take down a titan alone.”
“It’s settled then, Kenobi and Skywalker, you will train alongside Alyra to help her. We will send more Jedi if needed.” After Master Windu dismissed the council, Obi-wan came up to you to formally introduce himself. Of course, he didn’t need to, you had already known who everyone was. But for the sake of the plan, you had to act like you didn’t.
“Hello there! I am Obi-wan Kenobi. I’d like to apologize for my behaviour earlier.”
“Oh, there’s no need to apologize. But thanks I guess.”
“I assume no one has shown you to your quarters yet?” You nod, “Let me show you the way then.”
Anakin watched as the two of you left, a gentle laugh escaping your lips. Although Obi-wan’s hands were clasped behind his back, Anakin didn’t like the way he was so close to you. The furrow of his brows were noticeable as he felt the jealousy grow in him. Snap out of it, you just met her. He took big strides in order to catch up to the two of you.
“Hey! Wait up.” Hearing Anakin's voice made the two of you stop in your tracks. “Where are you two heading?”
“I was just going to take Miss Alyra to her quarters. Anyhow, since your quarters seem to be closer to hers, I think you should take her instead.” Obi-wan stated, giving Anakin the information he needed before leaving.
“Well, it looks like your room is right across from mine.” He began to lead the way, taking smaller steps to make sure you kept up.
“Tell me Anakin, what’s it like living on Coruscant?” You’d been curious, life as an avenger was grueling, although you did travel many places for missions, it was never for leisure. Living in New York for most of your life, you lacked knowledge about culture and life in general outside of America. So being in a new environment like Coruscant was quite exciting to you, but it was also scary. Give or take a few Jedi, some senators, and siths; you barely knew anyone.
“Well, I’m not gonna say I love it, because I don’t. But Coruscant does have its perks. There are many different cultures here, you’ll never get tired of it. Plus there’s no sand here, I fucking hate sand. It just-”
“-gets everywhere. Yeah I don’t like sand either. There’s a lot of branches and broken shells in it, making it hard to walk on.” You finished his sentence for him. Not realizing what you said before it was already out of your mouth, you gave him a sheepish smile. Anakin gave you a smile in return.
As your quarters came into view, Anakin grew nervous. He didn’t want the conversation to end, “About tomorrow, how about I pick you up for some breakfast, then we can explore the lower levels of Coruscant while you tell me about your home?”
You looked to the floor, biting your lip to keep you from smiling like an idiot, “Yeah, I’d really like that.” you continued to stare at the floor as you felt your cheeks heat up. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodnight, Anakin.” Finally meeting his gaze, you gave him a small smile.
“Sweet dreams, Alyra.” You watched as Anakin disappeared into his room before entering yours. Truth be told, you weren’t expecting much from the Jedi. The room was moderately decorated, only containing necessities. The bed itself looked like a bag of rocks, but was surprisingly comfortable. Going into the refresher, you were delighted to find that it wasn’t some outdated 90’s looking bathroom, but a more modern one. There was a single sink, along with some counter space where you could put your toiletries. A circular mirror was hanging above the sink, giving the bathroom some style. Everything in the bathroom had been so monotone, the same shade of white. Except the shower curtain, which was a very light gray.
Walking out of the bathroom, you noticed a door which presumably led to your closet. In it you found Jedi robes already hanging, there was also some sleep wear too. The robe itself was black, just like Anakins. However your clothing had been variations of white and gray. What a weird combination for a Jedi. It felt weird to be calling yourself a Jedi, it just didn’t feel right.
You decided to take a quick shower before calling Peter again. Turning on the shower, you watched as the water fell from the shower head attached to the ceiling. To your disbelief, the water was already hot when you jumped in. You thought it would’ve taken a while for it to warm up or that the Jedi absolutely loved taking cold showers. They hadn’t given you any shampoo or body wash, so you just let the hot water do its magic. I should probably tell Ani that I need some tomorrow while we're in the lower levels. Stepping out, you hastily dried yourself before putting on your night clothes.
Sitting on the bed, you took off your necklace. Pressing the button to turn on the device, you scrolled through the hologram screen until Peter’s name came up. Clicking on his name, you waited for it to connect. After a couple of seconds waiting, the video connected.
“Y/N!” He said eagerly
“Hi Peter! How are you? It feels like ages since I last saw you.” It had been only mere hours since you had left, while for you it’d been almost two days.
“Honestly things have been...okay. It’s just not the same without you around y’know?” You could hear the hesitation in his voice, as if he was hiding something.
“What do you mean okay? What happened?”
“I meant to tell you this before you left, but everything happened so quickly, and then you were gone before I knew it.” He pauses, taking a deep breath, “Umm…. MJ and I broke up.”
“What, why? Peter what happened?” Before he could answer, the hologram disappeared and the call ended. You tried to call him back but the call wouldn’t go through. Giving up, you let out a sigh. It’s probably for the best, I need to get some sleep.
Crawling into the covers, you situated yourself before finding a comfortable position. Thoughts of Peter and Mj lingered throughout your mind as you tried to fall asleep. You decided not to think about them for the rest of the night, and instead think of your day tomorrow with Anakin. Soon your breathing slowed down, a smile could be seen on your lips as you fell asleep.

somewhere in the Star Wars galaxy
Darth Sidious sits on his throne, hood pulled up to hide his face. He too, felt the disturbance in the force. Reaching into the force, he sought to find the person responsible for the disturbance. Quickly finding his answer, he lets out a vicious cackle.
so, the last of the Andarae bloodline has returned.

tagged by @qvid-pro-qvo! thank you so much :)
1. dust to dust (din djarin x fem!reader) (AO3 LINK HERE) - it has to be said. this fucking MONSTROSITY of a one-shot (44k+) is crazy bc i wrote this in like 5 days. i never really knew what i was getting myself into except what if din met a reader who just refused to stand down and protected the child and i feel like there will never not be a need for readers with strong personalities. kinda slowburn as can be and i’m glad i finished it and i’m super proud of it because i love this reader and also smut!!! i suck at writing smut and i feel like i did decently well with this one. also clumsy realness!! i enjoy writing the aspects of life that are overlooked and that’s the fact that first times are rarely perfect in some senses but perfect in another and there’s like a reader’s place in a universe and i could just go on and on about it tbh
2. if the world was ending (bucky barnes x fem!reader) - this was really the first thing i wrote that REALLY blew up and honestly i look back on it now and im amazed. my first fic (i think) of 2020? and it just decided to go off. i wrote this in a span of a day and posted it without a second thought and it touches on the idea of right person, wrong time. never thought it’d reach as many people as it did and when people still rb it, leave comments, etc, i just feel so honoured that they do.
3. the shakes (poe dameron x fem!reader) - what must be said about being horny, bumping into a total stranger who stole the chip you were meant to steal, pushing him into a closet to hide, and letting him eat you out for free while stealing the chip back from him?? anyways i love this reader and poe dameron and i wanna go back to them some day heheh
4. dear... whoever (bucky barnes x fem!reader) - idk, i love this fic. it’s cute, it’s a bit angsty, it’s written in a diary format so there isn’t a lot of dialogue. it let me explore a reader’s personality through her writing style and just,,, it was fun. i love writing this honestly.
5. darling, dearest, not quite dead (sith!obi-wan kenobi x fem!jedi!reader) (AO3 LINK HERE) - GIRL, my last fic of 2020 and here we are, with obi-wan kenobi himself. what is there not to love about him?? honestly this fic was supposed to have smut but instead we got tenderness. anyway, these two mean the WORLD to me, esp this reader w anakin, ahsoka, and padme. that is all :)
tag: oh no um i don’t have a lot of mutuals im struggling NKSDKNSD um  @venusbarnes @wxntersoldiers @beskars and anyone else who wants to do it :)

Long rambling thoughts from my pre-TLJ ROTS rewatch below the cut (and my thoughts about the deleted scenes, which I basically consider part of this movie)
Not being an official master/padawan has done wonders for Anakin and Obi-Wan’s relationship
“Sith Lords are our speciality” ooh the second-hand embarrassment. But Palpatine, isn’t it fun tricking everyone like this? What would you really gain by killing the Jedi?
It’d be interesting if Dooku was still trying to recruit Obi-Wan during this fight but I guess he kind of burned that bridge
I wonder why Dooku didn’t try to throw Palpatine under the bus when it became clear Palpatine was betraying him.
I love how Anakin and Obi-Wan don’t bat an eye at this old man doing all these acrobatics he really shouldn’t be able to when they’re in the elevator shaft.
Anakin’s dream is another instance of Padme brushing off behavior from Anakin that she should worry more about. She knows his last dream ended with him committing mass murder...
Honestly, this whole movie is full of people being on the right track about what’s going on but not realizing how bad it is. Padme and Obi-Wan know Anakin’s struggling, the Jedi know there’s something off about Palpatine, the Senators (in the deleted scenes) know the Republic’s in trouble, but no one realizes how dire the situation is.
(in the opera scene) okay I understand why Palpatine isn’t content to just toy with the Jedi forever. It must be really satisfying to finally put this plan into motion.
Plus I love his smirk when he talks about Plagueis dying
“The Chancellor has requested that I lead this campaign” no that didn’t actually happen, Anakin. He said he quested the wisdom of Jedi if they didn’t choose Anakin, but made no requests.
I wonder if things would’ve gone differently if Mace had brought Anakin along from the start. I think it was probably too late.
I think Palpatine is trying harder than he has to post-fall to convince Anakin to kill the Jedi. I think Anakin woudl go along with just about anything he says at that point.
Order 66 is sad :( and the youngling scene is really a moral event horizon and why I really have zero sympathy for Anakin past this point. Like, imagine what happens right after the scene cuts.
I wonder what Palpatine’s secretary thinks is going on?
In case someone isn’t already aware, Bail Organa is a hero. He’s a Senator, it would be so easy to convince himself that investigating the temple is someone else’s job, or send someone in his place, but he goes himself to investigate (and seems to be the only person who does). And then, when that doesn’t go well, it would be so easy to convince himself that he’d done his duty and it was out of his hands, but he immediately takes his ship to find any Jedi survivors. Like, he has follow through. He backs up his beliefs with words and his words with actions and it makes so much sense that this is the sort of person who raised Leia.
When Obi-Wan and Yoda arrive on Coruscant, do they even know Palpatine is the Sith? Is the Anakin=Vader discovery in the temple also the Palpatine=Sith discovery? Imagine Obi-Wan learning both of those things at the same time and realizing that he knew this relationship was bad news and still didn’t stop it.
in the “thunderous applause” scene, Bail and Padme are really working from a very different set of facts. Bail’s been hanging out with the Jedi and Padme still ostensibly believes Anakin when he said the Jedi had turned against Palpatine. What is going through her head?
“leave everything else behind while we still can” way too late for that, Padme
Oh Obi-Wan, checking Padme’s pulse.
I know it wouldn’t make sense but I always wish the Senate were in session for the Palpatine/Yoda duel when they come through the floor.
I can’t help judging Obi-Wan and Yoda for going into hiding. I get that they’re having a rough week, but they’re not the only ones. Bail just watched his friend die and the government he’s devoted his life to completely disintegrate and his reaction is “guess I’m going to be spending the rest of my life fighting tyranny”. But the Jedi are just like, “we tried once and failed, better let these newborn children handle it when they grow up”.
Breha is a saint. Bail literally just adopted a baby without telling her first? And as far as we can tell she’s perfectly happy about it.

(Long) rambling thoughts from my pre-TLJ Phantom Menace rewatch under the cut
Naboo’s security will be no match for the “battle-hardened Federation army” - super curious what other wars the Trade Federation has been involved in (and what does it even mean for droids to be “battle-hardened”?)
“We should not have made this bargain” - could’ve been interesting to explore this angle more in PT, with Sidious’s Separatist buddies having more and more second thoughts about agreeing to work with him
Shmi is the literal greatest.
she’s raised such a selfless kid under such awful circumstances, and it’s not just talk; when he wants to help Qui-Gon she lets him do it because it’s important to her not just that he believes that people should help each other but that he actually lives by those principles
“You have brought hope to those who have none” - she would be so proud of her grandkids
just the whole sending Anakin, the only good thing she has in her life, away from her because she knows it’s best for him is probably the most selfless thing anyone does in the saga
and that shot while he walks away and she is hugging herself and looks so alone... I know we don’t see anything of her relationship with Cliegg onscreen but I will cling to the idea that she found a little bit of peace and family before her death
Kitster is also the literal greatest. I love that he stays behind with Anakin when he’s working on the pod when all the other kids leave. I especially love the way he says “finish the race, of course” like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Like, that might be my favorite delivery of any line in the whole movie
Qui-Gon definitely knows that Padme’s really the queen and is messing with her - “The Queen trusts my judgment, you should too”. Either that, or he and Obi-Wan have a bet about whether she’s the queen and he’s trying to get her to admit it so he can win
When Padme and Anakin are talking on the ship about how he misses his mother, it hit me for the first time that she has also left her family behind in danger
So, Palpatine’s plan definitely changes over the course of the movie.
At first he seems to legit want Padme to sign the treaty, but then when she says she’s going back he looks honestly surprised which makes me think her signing the treaty is no longer his plan. (And why was it his plan in the first place?)
He was also probably not planning the vote of no confidence before Padme unexpectedly came to Coruscant. Was he not planning to become Chancellor so early? Did Padme coming to Coruscant actually accelerate his plans? Or did it put him in power before he was ready and ultimately delay his next steps?
Maybe his goal here was to start the Galactic Civil War 10 years earlier but with Naboo as the Separatists
Also super curious who nominated him for Chancellor. The invasion of Naboo definitely makes him sympathetic but that’s not an automatic nomination. Was he manipulating someone else? Did he have to move very fast to put things in place once Padme called for the vote of no confidence?
I’ve never caught this before, but Qui-Gons says “I will do what I must” in reference to the council not wanting to train Anakin. And then Obi-Wan says the same thing right before the Mustafar duel. :’(
Artoo totally brought Anakin to the space battle on purpose, I bet there was never any autopilot
Imagine if Shmi knew that just days after she made this sacrifice to give her son a better life he was right in the middle of a huge battle
“Viceroy, your occupation here has ended” - I don’t think Sabe’s team showing up right then was specifically part of the plan, I think Sabe’s just really good at her job and everyone got really lucky
The cut from the Gungans celebrating the droids turning off to Obi-Wan hanging there with Maul standing above him menacingly while Qui-Gon dies is really jarring in the best way
It’d be fun if taking back Naboo didn’t actually mean winning. The Trade Federation has really good PR, I bet they could pin all the violence on the Jedi and the Naboo and get away with it
I think Yoda was testing Obi-Wan when he said he didn’t agree with Obi-Wan training Anakin before saying that the Council did agree. Not sure if Obi passed
Ick Palpatine at Qui-Gon’s funeral; I bet he was thinking about how this was just the first of many Jedi to die as part of his plan
And some AUs I thought up:
Possibly explaining Sidious’s weird behavior: Jar Jar is evil a la Darth Jar Jar theory, but he’s not in cahoots with Palpatine. They’re rivals. Palpatine orders the invasion of Naboo to track him down, wants Padme to sign the treaty to give the TF time to find him, and is the source of the rumors about the underwater villages that the TF plan to investigate. Jar Jar tags along with the Jedi to get off planet and when he shows up on Coruscant, Palpatine things “well, this sure isn’t going according to plan”
Another secret Sith Lord theory: Valorum’s a Sith. Every chancellor from the last 1000 years is a Sith. The Sith never went extinct, they just got bored of overtly fighting the Jedi and decided to infiltrate the government instead. Instead of the apprentices killing their masters when they become more powerful, they usurp their position as Chancellor. Bonus points for Mace saying “I do not believe the Sith could have returned without us knowing” and they’ve been right in front of them for not just Palpatine’s decades (?) in politics, but literally centuries.
Or: the Clone Wars is not Palpatine playing both sides, but rather two Sith Lords each leading one side. The Jedi still have no idea that they’re being used as pawns in a Sith feud.
On a more serious note, while I think this movie is great for Padme, I kind of wish she had been the Queen’s daughter instead of the Queen, and a few years younger. You could have all sorts of shenanigans with two nine year olds running around in the middle of this crisis, and it would potentially move the AOTC relationship from “vaguely uncomfortable” to “cute” territory in my mind.
