Ok so my thoughts on American horror story Roanoke
It was good, I loved the whole tv show aspect it had going on the entire series and I’m happy it didn’t drop it once “My Roanoke Nightmare” was over.
It was the only season which actually scared me in a sense I definitely see what people were talking about when they say it’s the best horror season from start to finish. Ngl I wasn’t really into it in the beginning but once the psychic got disemboweled I was like “Ah shit nvm this is gonna be good” it’s kinda fucked up but that shit had me smiling.
It was also the least predictable season? But by the end of it idk if it’s my favorite tho, I woulda been happy with literally ANYONE else living besides Lee, after she confessed to killing her ex-husband I stopped liking her but I can see why she did survive, everyone else in that house either had nothing really going for them outside of it or what they did have was killed there. By the end it really did just feel like a horror movie
I really enjoyed it especially the last half but I don’t think it’s my favorite mainly based off the ending and it’s pretty hard to beat Cult and Hotel in my mind but it definitely beats them horror wise
But I think we need to talk about how beautiful Evan was as Edward omg. Will they PLEASE put him in more makeup it looks great on him jdjxidnxjxjxnxj

The Mind’s Power Over the Body
Part 18: Unstoppable
Story summary: They only ever had each other. It had been that way since high school, ever since Elianna transferred to dreary Arlen and took Jonathan under her wing. They go separate ways for college, and when they're reunited at Arkham Asylum professionally, Elianna comes to find that they've both changed during their time separated. Can she look past the promise of danger and stay by Jonathan's side as they slide further and further into the darkness while she grapples to come to terms with the truth about herself? Can she accept what needs to be done in order to hold onto the only person who holds any meaning in her life? This is a very self-indulgent AU that draws from several different canons of the DCU and ignoring others, starting in the Batman Begins Nolanverse. This will follow the plot of the movie, although the timeline has been very slightly tweaked.
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7 / Part 8 / Part 9 / Part 10 / Part 11 / Part 12 / Part 13 / Part 14 / Part 15 / Part 16 / Part 17
Word count: 2011
This chapter is really dumb and cheesy just a heads up 😂 I wanted to dabble in old school fanfic while I wrote this one I think. Idk, it’s kinda cute
El had come to hate the weekends. There was no substance to her days off now that she knew the thrills offered by the wretch of a city. Jonathan wouldn't let her run his underworld errands with him; an attempt to keep her safe from Falcone, he said. While she understood and appreciated the sentiment, the result was dreadfully long and slow weekends. They couldn't go to Arkham to supervise the project, lest they draw suspicion, and if Jonathan wouldn't take her with him to meetings, it left her with very little to do in the apartment.
Luckily, the day after her nightmare Jonathan had no reason to leave the apartment. On the other hand, he had spent his day worrying over her incessantly. Well, as much as Jonathan could "worry incessantly" in his own subdued way.
He had let her sleep in for hours, made her breakfast when she woke, and she was currently curled up on the couch next to him with the softest blanket from his linen closet. He had even let her pick the movie they were watching.
"Hey, Jonathan?"
"Mm?"
"Am I dying or something?" He looked across the couch at her, confused. "You're being really nice today. Are you still 'being me,' or am I dying?"
"Oh. Neither." He fell back into silence rather than offering the explanation that El was looking for. She waited patiently for a minute or two, giving him the opportunity to explain himself of his own volition before sitting up with a huff and pausing the TV, moving to sit next to him.
"What's going on? Is everything okay?" El watched as Jonathan set his jaw firmly, releasing a long slow breath, all the while staring inscrutably at the coffee table. By the time he finally looked at her, the anticipation had made her too anxious even to admire the hue of his eyes as she normally would.
"Last night, you..." he trailed off and let out another sigh before continuing, "it made me worry. I've been thinking all day, and I'm wondering if maybe you would be better off leaving Gotham now and going somewhere without me." Whatever she had been expecting, this wasn't it. Her brow furrowed, and she struggled to organize her thoughts enough to argue as he spoke again. "I know you, and I know that that wasn't normal, and it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't gotten you involved."
"So what?" she sputtered. "Jonathan, you got me involved, but if I didn't want to be still involved, I wouldn't be. Don't worry about me. You're not responsible for my decisions."
Her words did little to soothe him, and he leaned against the back of the couch with his head tilted all the way back to look at the ceiling. "No, I'm not, but this is clearly taking a toll on you. I just think it might be better if-"
"I understand what you're saying, but you're wrong," interrupted El. "If I were to leave now, I would just worry about you more. Without me, you're on your own here, and it's going to take a lot more than some stupid bad dream to make me abandon you. I know that you can handle all of this on your own, but as long as I'm here, I'm going to keep supporting you in whatever ways I can."
He was technically right, to an extent; it wasn't normal for a nightmare to break her like that. But the fact remained that it was only a dream, and the fact that it had immediately followed a dosing of fear toxin only served to solidify her point further. It would never have affected me like that if I hadn't insisted on a second toxin trial.
Jonathan mulled over what she said for what seemed like ages, to the point that Elianna wasn't even sure where his train of thought may have taken him. Regardless, she knew that he must have been trying to come up with some absurd reason why she should leave anyway. Deciding to let him think (and knowing that she would win this debate with this move), she pulled the blanket tighter around her shoulders and lifted his arm to slot herself against his side.
He looked down at her as she settled his arm around her back, only to find her already looking up at him patiently with big green eyes. Shit. He could never argue with her when she looked at him like that, and she knew it. He did his best to steel his resolve, but then she blinked at him so sweetly that he had no choice.
"Fine," he sighed, finally looking away from her. "But no more toxin. From now on, you're just helping me supervise, understood?" He felt her nod fervently and wrap her arms tight around him. How did she always manage to get under his skin so well?
"I can't believe you thought you could get rid of me that easily," she scoffed. "I'm here to stay, love. I left you behind once, and I'm not going to do it again." Jonathan was amused by the childish notion behind her words but appreciated the sentiment nonetheless.
He was silently glad that she had pushed against him on this particular issue. While he still believed that she would be safer away from the city, he really didn't want her to leave. She was too...important. As proven by how easily she could get him to concede just by looking at me, for fuck's sake.
"You know I would never try to get rid of you." Jonathan still faced difficulty coming to terms with her effect on him, but this time he didn't have the energy to fight it. Deep down, he knew that he had let her win, selfishly wanting her to stay. Unwilling to resist, he let his cheek rest against the top of her head. "Sometimes I might think about it, but I'm not stupid." He felt her laugh.
"Understandable." She tilted her head back to look at him, and he lifted his head from hers to mirror her gaze. A soft smile spread over her face. "One of these days, I'm going to get you to admit outright that you love me." She said smugly, undeterred by his impassive expression.
He could tell by the look on her face that she had begun speaking absentmindedly, but Jonathan found himself more focused on the conversation in his head; naturally, Scarecrow had his own opinion on what El had said.
She's got a point. We should just get it over with now.
That isn't what she means.
Sure it is! See the way she looks at us? Come ooonnn, what's the harm? If it goes south, I'll just take care of it.
You absolutely will not.
I still don't see why we shouldn't get rid of her anyway. Loose ends, Jonny. If she's dead, she can't snitch.
She isn't going to. She would have done it already, and she's never told anyone about everything else we've done; why would she start now?
Yeah, and why do you think that is? Principle? Honesty? She likes us, Jonny. If you don't take care of it now, then I will.
With that, the straw man retreated to the back of Jonathan's mind in smug silence. The ambiguity of Scarecrow's ultimatum made him nervous, as he was unsure of what Scarecrow's version of "taking care of it" might be. But Jonathan knew ultimately that his alter was actually right this time. All of the jokes, the affection, the trust, and when she looked at him the way she had done just a minute before...
It was almost terrifying to think that the woman he had held so dear for so long might harbor feelings for him, and the true rush of the unknown exhilarated him. As strange as it would be, Jonathan knew what he wanted to do and resolved on the spot to act upon it before he could talk himself back out of it as he was wont to do.
"Not verbally, necessarily," she spoke up again, "but one of these days, you're going to do something, and I'll kno-"
The rest of El's sentence was cut short by something that could not have caught her more off guard, and while some part of her seemed to process it immediately (judging by how hard her heart was beating), it took a moment for her brain to catch up.
Jonathan had interrupted her by cupping the side of her face with his free hand and, in one fluid motion, had tilted her head back more and kissed her full on the mouth ever so softly. Her mind hadn't yet finished racing with unanswered questions when her internal monologue switched abruptly to, "oh, fuck it."
At that moment, she didn't need to understand anything. By way of response, she lifted her own hand to close lightly around his wrist, keeping his hand against her face and returned the tentative kiss with one of her own.
Both of their stomachs exploded into butterflies, but for vastly different reasons. Jonathan felt a rush of relief from the reciprocation and a flutter of nervousness caused by sudden instability for the future that it implied. In the same moment, Elianna found an emotional release and a thrill caused by the same unclear future, eager to build something new, powerful even.
Whatever her motivation, when El kissed him again, Jonathan was more than eager to return the action, and all of his apprehensiveness began to melt away. It was a rare moment of clarity for him, as he found himself truly in the moment. She had kissed him. Things that had been so important to him only minutes before were suddenly irrelevant, and when El pulled away and buried her face into his neck, holding him so tight, he was all too glad to squeeze her closer.
He thought that he had never been more determined to do anything as he was to keep her safe previously, but having finally given in to the impulse that he had been repressing since their teen years, Jonathan realized his previous resolve had been trivial. This, with all of its implicit devotion attached, changed everything so drastically. Nobody would ever hurt her again; not Zsasz, not Scarecrow, not anybody.
It was a good feeling, if a bit overwhelming. Following his new theme of letting himself enjoy the things he wanted, Jonathan allowed himself to feel at ease, content. He even cracked a smile when a small voice chimed, "I told you so," from somewhere near his collarbone.
"Yes, you did." He stroked back her hair and left a lingering kiss on top of her head, and felt her delighted smile split her face as she hugged him tighter (if that was even possible).
"Now you're really not getting rid of me. You know that, right?"
"I know. That's what I wanted." El hummed happily in response, breathing in the smell of his clothes. Being wrapped up against him like this felt...right. Like this was what their entire friendship had always been leading to, and now that it had been fulfilled, nothing could stop her.
Ever at the whim to her desires, and knowing that Jonathan couldn't be relied on to do the same, El straightened back up to stand on her knees and captured him in another kiss, deeper than before. With no protest, Jonathan locked his arms securely around her waist to keep her close and responded in kind.
Everything else forgotten, the new couple passed the day away in a world of their own making, testing the limits, and exploring new possibilities. Totally focused on each other, they both forgot everything about the killing of the city, the crimes they were committing together, the hells they had been put through, all of it wiped away; with every kiss, every gentle touch, every movement erased every atrocity, past and future. The new, stronger nature of their companionship made them unstoppable.

JOKER
Tumblr media
I was going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to get excited about this movie.
When I first got word about it, people said that there was going to be this Joker movie with an older Joker, and more Joker action to come, with probably a younger Joker. My first reaction was "WHY?" We just got finished with quite possibly the worst Joker we've ever had.
Tumblr media
THE WORST!
I'm including old school Tv Joker
Tumblr media
as well as Rastafari Joker.
Tumblr media
Plus, how many more times do we need to see this domestic violence play out?! Bats and Joker find each other. They have awkward intimate moments. They fight. Joker takes things a lil too far. Then, all of a sudden, the cops show up to take Joker to Arkham Asylum. Where of course The Joker will break out and find Bats, and they'll do it all over again. Enough! Seriously! Heath Ledger was perfect! No need to do Joker again for a while! Are there no other criminals in Gotham?
But, then I heard that Joaquin Phoenix was taking up the mantle.
Tumblr media
HELL YEAH! I'm here for that! If there was anyone who could follow Heath well, it would be Joaquin Phoenix! And maybe Tilda Swinton. I frickin love her!
Tumblr media
Picture that!
Then the trailer came out, and it was good... but I started thinking "I don't know if I want any answers to the questions of The Joker." You know?? Part of the attraction is in the mystique. For example there's a woman I've danced with on a dating app; her name is "HotDate48". I still don't know what her actual name is... and she doesn't know mine. I don't know much about her, and I'm fine with that. It's when you start finding out things about people that you start judging, you know? I don't need to know about any kids, or meds that you've been on, or warrants? or... well let me know if you've got herpes... I DO want to know THAT... but most other things? - meh... even if we got serious with kids and all, I'd be fine with continuing to call her "HotDate48".
Then, people started complaining about this movie coming out, stupidly saying that it might encourage mass shooters (& incels). Afterwards, I was all in on Joker out of sheer spite. People are idiots! - but I'll talk more about that later.
I saw it! I loved it! It's a simple movie about a man who's life is all kinds of F'd up! He stews in his f'd-upness, until he snaps and engages in Joker type violence. Now, this is no surprise to anyone. That's not a spoiler. We all know that the movie is going there! I don't think anyone thought this would end up being a Rom Com, or that someone thought The Joker might find Jesus or anything. We all know what the end product is! BUT, does it live up to the hype?
Joaquin Phoenix has received high praise! He is excellent in this film! He captures someone who is mentally ill. He captures all of the nuanced anger, sadness, and insecurities he has due to his circumstances. Most importantly he is able to captivate the audience through the entire film. Which is very much needed, because this is all about The Joker, or maybe I should say Arthur Fleck (his real name). This is a story from the perspective of a crazy person - this is important to remember, because it's the reason that some people will call this brilliant (as I do), and some people just might not get it. I think the movie would have been better with some balanced support from others, but...
Zazie Beetz is in this as the love interest, and she's just that, AN INTEREST. She's barely in this, and nothing more than a plot device. His mom, looks crazy as hell, but idk... meh. And Robert DeNiro? - let's be honest, unless it's a gangster movie, he's usually mailing it in.
You're stuck hanging out with crazy for a couple of hours - for better or for worse. There's that movie "Hustlers" with JLo in it.
Tumblr media
She plays a stripper. I haven't seen it. But, I imagine JLo taking someone deep into the world of stripping. Behind the enchanting scene of sequin, glitter, and elated customers. You also view the stories of the strippers, the extracurricular activities involved, as well as getting an overload of booty. It might make one uncomfortable. You might have booty-overload. The Joker's Arthur Fleck's mental state and struggles might make some uncomfortable, but it's also a beautiful painting.
It is very well shot! Joaquin Phoenix is very photogenic! He's a photographers dream! He may even be a musician's dream. I bet if I stalked him I'd get great material for songs. Watch him shop for produce... with that stare of his.
Tumblr media
Normally we get a confident Joker. This is more of a insecure, broken, frustrated Joker - and it's refreshing.
Now, for the hype about the violence and potential encouragement to violent people
#1 - People are idiots
#2 - You could say that about any movie. Concerning violence - The Avengers movies are violent - not bloody, but violent. I love parkour. I feel like I missed my time to be a parkour champ back when it was popular. Watching Spider-Man gets those juices flowing, but you don't see me bouncing from rooftop to rooftop, cuz I'm well adjusted! We don't talk about Thor - there could be real danger of heavily bearded white men chucking hammers at people. Or sexy redheads getting all close to you... putting their hands on you... looking you in the eyes, talkin bout "you've been bad, and now I'm going to punish you."...
Tumblr media
Whew!
Sorry.
You know??
I'm gonna see kids dressed up as Capt America, hitting me in the head with plastic shields, but how much you wanna bet people are going to get into trouble dressing up like The Joker, just trying to make people laugh. It's backwards!
Tumblr media
#3 - The movie is not that violent. A few scenes, sure, but even in those scenes the violence isn't glorified. If I had kids I'd be more concerned about them picking up Joaquin's crazy dance moves (seen in the trailer) than The Joker's violent ways. There's a whole lot of Joker dancing going on in this flick:)
The more I think about this movie, the more I love it. Like a good, strong beer - the taste and then the buzz.
I'd say, walking out I gave it a grade: solid B, but after thinking it through more, a grade A- It'll give you things to talk about afterwards for sure.
I hope that these side stories on Batman characters will become a trend. I want the next one to be Alfred. Imagine all of the messes he has had to clean up ove the years. All of the bitches and hoes, and bros he's had to tolerate with Bruce Wayne's parties. And I'm sure he wants his own life too. But, every time he tries to bring some foxy mama home, here comes Batman stumbling in all beat up after another fight with The Joker.

Resurrection Part 2
(Part 1-> http://batmagines.tumblr.com/post/155554222783/resurrection )
Relationship: Jason Todd x Reader
Warnings:LONG AFFFFF, lots of fluff, I did a thing, some angst, cocky mufucking Jason Peter Todd, kinda crappily written but I finished this @ 1:30 AM
A/N: I kinda filled in some blanks like names and favorite foods but I hope you don’t mind it kinda just helps my flow of writing <3, Ps sorry it’s so fluffy, idk why but I felt like there should be some fluff bc I’m trying to make the next parts a little more Angsty. Also I’m sorry it’s cheesy/cliche.
~~~
You wake up screaming. You’re in a green body of water and your whole body aches. A man is screaming too, and he’s climbing up a wall in the cave. You don’t know why but you follow him and even when he jumps out of the window you still follow him. When you hit the ground the two of you look at each other’s mummified bodies and your memories come back to you.
“Jason?” You ask your voice hoarse from being, well dead.
“Y/N?” He asks stepping towards you. You fall into his arms and he hugs you tight as you start to sob.
“What happened to us?” You ask quietly. You then heard wolves howling in the distance and you looked up at Jason.
“I don’t know but we should get out of here. Don’t wanna become Puppy Chow.” He says before grabbing your hand and leading you in a direction that would hopefully be some type of shelter.
5 years had passed since the day you and Jason had been brought back from the dead in the Lazarus pit and you were back in Gotham. When you arrived you were strictly off the radar. You and Jason even had a child. Her name was Adeline and you both promised each other she’d never have to go what the two of you went through, and she definitely wouldn’t be partaking in Jason’s ‘Red Hood’ activities until she was at a good age and was heavily trained, that is if she ever wanted to. Hopefully if you both were lucky, the little 6 month old in your arms would never want to go out into the field with her father. But she already seemed to show Jason’s stubbornness even as an infant.
Right now Jason was out holding a meeting with a bunch of drug lords trying to get them to work for him instead of Black Mask. You sat at the multiple computer consoles and helped Jason out. Though you didn’t need to help out as much tonight seeing as it was only a meeting and he definitely had the upper hand. The main console you seemed to be watching was the one that allowed you to watch things from his ‘eyes’. The two of you had installed 360 degree cameras in his helmet so you could help be his second pair of eyes when things got bad. You watched as the drug dealing thugs argued as they tried to decide who had set the meeting up.
“Time for your dramatic entrance babe.” You said spinning in the chair making silly faces at Adeline and she made silly faces right back at you, to the best of her ability anyways. You listened as your husband made his entrance and then started his AK-47 when the drug lords tried to shoot him. You quickly covered Addie’s ears and blew raspberries on her stomach to mask the sound of the gun. She giggled, and then Jason laughed quietly before getting back to his business.
You laughed as Jason sarcastically answered the man who had asked Jason if he wanted to die. “Been there, done that.” You said answering the man even though he couldn’t actually hear you. Jason told the scumbags his deal and when you heard the thud of a bag you covered Addie’s eyes, not wanting her to see the grotesque heads that were in the bag. Sure she might not be able to actually remember or know what that stuff was but you still didn’t want her to see the things that went on after dark. He then shot the AK and left the premises.
“Baby will you pick up some milk please?” You asked him as you watched him grapple from building to building on his way home.
“Sure thing doll, want me to pick up a new teething toy for Addie?” He asked you.
“She has enough Jaybird, you already spoil her enough.” You laugh as you placed Addie in her bassinet by the computers and handed her one of her teething rings.
“What about the gel numbing stuff, I heard that stuff will take away some of her pain.” He asks as he ducks behind a building and pulls off his hood and mask before walking across the street to the local corner store.
“I read that the stuff might make her throat a little numb and cause her a hard time swallowing.” You say recalling the article you had read last week.
“Don’t want that, what about dinner tonight? I’m thinking Spaghetti.” He ponders. “It’s your favorite.”
“Jay you’ve already had dinner.” You laugh.
“Too late now, I’ve bought the stuff and I’m coming home.” He tells you. Moments later he’s crawling through the fire escape window with a bag in his hand. He puts the small amount of groceries on the counter. Then he walks over to Addie and pulls out a new teething toy from behind his back.
“Jason!” You say laughing and lightly smacking his chest. “What can’t a guy spoil his girls?” He asks before kissing your lips and placing a rose in your hand.
“I love you.” You say smiling against his lips.
“I love you too.” He says as Addie coo’s in her bassinet. He smiles at her before picking her up and bouncing her on his hip. “And I love you.”
Addie giggles and then the computer beeps, a warning sign going off signalling that one of his deliveries had been ambushed ruining the sweet moment. You watch the console that shows the security camera’s for that area and quickly spot Batman and Nightwing trying to defeat Amazo.
“God Da-” Jason starts to say but he receives a dirty look from you as you gesture to Addie still in his arms.
“Language dear.” You say taking Addie from Jason so he can go stop his guys from talking. She starts to cry but stops when you hand her a stuffed toy yet again from Jason.
“Sorry doll,” He mutters kissing your lips and placing a kiss on Addie’s small head. “I’ll be back Princess don’t you worry.”
“Go get ‘em tiger.” You tell him placing a light smack on his butt for an extra pep in his step. “I’ll even make you an extra diner.”
“I’ll be back even quicker than.” He smirks before placing his helmet on his head and exiting through the fire escape.
After putting Addie to sleep and cooking the spaghetti for Jason you hop into your chair placing your comm link in your ear before typing away at the computer. “What’d I miss?”
“Just going for a late night drive that’s all.” He says and you roll your eyes.
You let out a little yelp when you see the large grapple enter the hood of the car and you watch as Jason swerves trying to escape it’s grasps. When the car is lifted off of it’s front two wheels you start to get worried but the worry is quickly vanished when Jason pulls a lever and gets rid of the roof. He crashes into Axis chemicals and Batman follows.
After Batman stands still for a moment reminiscing the moment the Joker had been created Jason speaks up.
“Hard to forget that night huh?” He says pointing a gun at Bruce. “In a way Batman this was the sight of your first great failure, maybe your greatest, but certainly not your last. Right? Ah memories.” He then turns his gun to the car and shoots it causing it explode along with some chemicals.
“Jesus Christ Jay, careful!” You say as he turns and runs away before the rest of the building can explode to smithereens.
“Always am sweetcheeks.” You can practically see the smirk on his face when he speaks. When Jason gets home you hack into Arkham Asylum’s security camera’s knowing that Batman will be heading there to interrogate your father. When you looked at the man that had aided in your existence you sadly saw the sickening resemblance. The green hair and although your skin wasn’t ghostly white like his it sure was pale. You looked over at Addie and gave a small smile thankful that she looked more like Jason. She was to innocent to look like the mad man who was your father. You felt Jason come up behind you with Addie in his arms, he handed her to you and you clutched her small body close to yours as Jason cut off the footage of your father now laughing on the floor. He then hugged you close comforting you in his arms.
“I won’t let him hurt her, or you.” He whispered into your ear. “He won’t hurt any of us again, I promise you.”
“I want to be the one to kill him.” You said authoritatively. “It has to be me that kills him.”
