Ad | Humble Bundle April 2024
Hi folks, here's a few bundles that some of you might be interested in this month.
For the inspiring programmers - the Code like a Pro bundle supports Girls Who Code.
If you lean more towards 3D modelling and design then Blender Core Skills bundle has loads of resources on Mesh modelling, rigging, shading and lighting. It also raises money for One Tree Planted.
I know a bunch of you love a good TTRPG, there's a solid Pathfinder Second Edition - Guns of Alkenstar Bundle available. A portion of the money goes towards Endometriosis UK - a charity very close to my heart.

I promised I would update when Pathfinder 2e's new Humble Bundle was out- And that time is now! For around ~5$, you can get a few essentials, including the core book. They've got a really sweet deal for ~25$ too which includes quite a few books to work with!
One thing our DM really appreciates is how affordable is Pathfinder compared to DnD (which, well, helps when you can't justify shelling over a hundred bucks just on getting the three main books :'') )
So if you wanna give PF2e a try, it's a good time! (For the record, I'm just sharing this because someone asked me to do so once the Humble Bundle came out, I'm just excited to see people try out this system as we will be switching to it too quite soon!)

The level of detail and minute arrangement the player can perform during Unpacking allows for an incredible degree of player expression, all while still maintaining limits on what they can and can't do. While some objects will fit more easily into certain places, the freedom provided to the player in terms of how they want to arrange their living space, down to the specific rotation of many of the trinkets and objects therein, makes this feel like a legitimate homemaking endeavor.

Ad | Last few hours to grab the Humble Heroines bundle - I'd recommend it for Metal Hellsinger, Plague Tale and Wanted: Dead.
Wanted: Dead is a fascinating game, you play an incredible tall German woman with a robotic arm, a gun and a sword. And there's a mini-game where you sing 99 Luftballons at karaoke.
If horror is more your thing, you can grab the Spring Screams bundle. You might have seen me play Amnesia: The Bunker which has you being hunted through a creepy WW1 bunker. Or you might have seen me, @thebibliosphere , @theshitpostcalligrapher and @mothman-etd panicking in Devour.

btw everyone should play bad end theater it's got multiple endings. lesbians. demons who like naps. non-binary hench people. tragedy. yet more endings. beautiful pixel art. murder. more lesbians. color coded characters. and even more awesome stuff!
and it's also in the "pixel pride" humble bundle this month for 7 dollary doos (4 item bundle which also has celeste, or 12 dollars for all 7 games in the whole bundle) (all of which are queer and/or made by queer creators) (part of the purchase also goes to the Trevor Project) (basically go look at it and maybe buy it. and then play bad end theater)

Just beat signalis, and this game now means more to me than most horror experiences I've ever consumed, even secondhand. The gunplay alone gives me conniptions at how satisfying it is to perfectly down an enemy with a limit supply of high-powered rounds (yes my favorite is the revolver, how did you know >:3.)
The story is something I honestly can get behind and understand way better than I thought I could, but I can easily contribute that to my love of souls games among other things. For the average player I can clearly imagine them squealing and running around in circles in fear when a big group of enemies scream and lunge at you, perfectly blocking the item you need to pick up to progress behind their wall of flesh.
No matter how long it takes, however, I think making it to the end of this game is worth it for experiencing the (HORRIFYING, WRITHING, EWWW) environment and (NOPE NOPE NOPE AHHHH) ambience. This game took me from being filled with dread after every bullet I fired, thinking that I'd be swarmed by whatever'd crawl from the ceiling at the sound of my gun, to being a well oiled progression machine with enough know-how, healing and ammo to stall a corrupted storch with a pistol and my dodging.
And the CHARACTERS, OMG HOW INTRICATELY DO THE DEVS KNOW THEIR CHARACTERS THAT THEY PERFECTLY ENCAPSULATE THEIR PERSONALITIES THROUGH THE FORMS THEY TAKE WHEN CORRUPTED. HOW WAS I ABLE TO SEE THE INDIVIDUAL LAYERS OF SANITY UNRAVELING THROUGHOUT EACH AND EVERY DIARY I FOUND. HOW DOES EVEN THE HEAVY DUTY ROBOT GIRL IN A MASSIVE SUIT MAKE ME CRY WHEN I HAVE TO LEAVE HER FOR DEAD AFTER JUST LEARNING HER NAME TwT.
Anyways...
I loved every second of this game. I found every gun, I read every diary entry, every article and piece of paperwork. I learned to love and kill every enemy I fought, purely because I knew what they were at their peak and how far they had fallen.... and how much it hurt. This game is raw, visceral, and gut-wrenching, and not a second of my waking life for the next couple of months with be spent without it taking up at least some of my mental real estate.
Go play the game. Find your robot girlfriend.
Remember your promise.
For the yuri.
