Never Forgive, Always Forget | A Sweeney Todd Story VOLUME I
After the events of the Final Sequence, Sweeney Todd is left to wallow in the guilt of murdering his wife. Tobias had run off instead of killing Sweeney, so now the demon barber is doomed to continue living with the agonizing guilt that eats him alive. Turning to the bottle, Sweeney now becomes haunted by the ghosts of those he killed. He plans to end it all, but little does he know of someone in need of his help. Rose just escaped Judge Turpin's estate after he had not returned the previous night. She took her chance to leave and followed where Johanna and Anthony had spoken of going before eloping: Sweeney Todd's Tonsorial Parlor on Fleet Street. She had not met him before, but he was the only person she could turn to, and if the young lovers trusted him, then so did she. Can Rose trust this man? Can Sweeney trust this woman? How will they get along? Will Rose find out his dark secret? Will Sweeney be caught and hung for his crimes? What does Rose know about his daughter, Johanna? Who is Rose? Sweeney must hide his secret and fight through his grief to find out.
READ IT ON WattPad AND Ao3 !!!

Hey everyone! I'm just here to remind folks that ALL of Volume 1 of the Sweeney Todd fanfic my friend and I have been writing is now available to read. Above is some art that I have done for the first 4 chapters 🙏
If you love Sweeney Todd, I'm sure you will enjoy this!! It takes place after the events of Final Scene, and Sweeney lives in this version. It touches on a lot of backstory things with the original and canon characters.

286 - Something for Everyone (w/ Chris Schleicher) (70s Spectacular - 1970)
Tumblr media
It's time to kick off our May miniseries - the This Had Oscar Buzz: 70s Spectacular! For 1970, television writer Chris Schleicher joins us for a forgotten tale of wealth, deception, and Bavarian castles. The directorial debut of stage legend Hal Prince (and with a screenplay by his frequent collaborator Hugh Wheeler, from the novel The Cook by Harry Kressing), Something for Everyone starred a pre-Cabaret Michael York as a young man who weasel's his way into the good graces of a wealthy family in order to claim their family castle. As the family matriarch, Angela Lansbury earned a Golden Globe nomination that didn't translate to Oscar.
This episode, we talk about the 1970 Oscar year dominated by controversy surrounding George C. Scott's rejection of Oscar pomp and circumstance and this film's very obvious similarities to Saltburn. We also talk about Lansbury's Oscar and Tony run preceding the film, Michael York as canonical cinematic bisexual, and Prince's directorial failure adapting A Little Night Music.
Topics also include "It Goes Like It Goes," the supporting actresses of Five Easy Pieces, and our disdain for Love Story.

Hal Prince: "so Sweeney Todd's an allegory for social unrest? Class struggles during the Industrial Revolution?"

Sweeney Todd -- Cupcake
Tumblr media
🎃Happy Early Halloween!🎃
Here is another Halloween artwork with Sweeney Todd with a cupcake he sneered at, surely isn't a meat pie (this art takes place before the events of the film because (I ain't spoiling it for those who haven't watched it ^^;)). He looks at the red frosting. Maybe fake blood? Could be ^^;
I finally got to watch Sweeney Todd, and spoils because I'm about to tell you my thoughts. It's a screwed up movie, I was shocked when I see so much deaths in that film 0_0, but also pretty good :)
I did some Halloween cupcakes, and I'll show you them as I get them posted soon ;3
What y'all think? (Sweeney was difficult to draw, but still good ^^;)
