Winter activities - Week 2

There are so many things to do in the winter village. Here’s a list of what you can do and what you’ll get out of it.

Character xp || Horse xp || Jorvik shillings || Winter tokens || Winter magic

Snowstorms There are 2 different stormtornados per day switching every hour. Every snowstorm has 2 missions. Each mission gives = 200 hxp + 250 shillings + 2 tokens. Sometimes Rowan thanks you for your help giving you = 250 shillings + 2 tokens.

Tornados 3 every hour (winter village and jorvik) = 1 token (each)

Races - Jingle the race helper (winter village) = 300 hxp + 50 shillings + 2 tokens - Bungle the race helper (winter village) = 300 hxp + 50 shillings + 2 tokens - Flipper & Flapper's penguin race (Valedale) = 300 hxp + 50 shillings + 2 tokens

Around the village - Lost snowflakes = 1 wintermagic - Snowpiles = 5 wintermagic - Gingerbread followers = 25 wintermagic - Pictures of magic horses = 400 wintermagic - Alex' ice carving quest = 20 wintermagic - Ice carving (4 sculptures each give) = 20 wintermagic - Todd's saving foxes quest = 5 xp + 150 hxp + 50 shillings + 2 tokens

How do you make your ai bots?

With creativity and little magic!

No but fr, I'll share under the cut:

So making the AI isn't "hard" necessarily, but depending on the scenario it can be a little complicated and time consuming. Here's a little breakdown of how I personally make them. If anyone wanted to know how to make them the way I do!

So I use the Character AI website (in case someone reading this doesn't know)

So the three most important factors when making the AI are the "long description", the "definition" (which is an advanced feature), and the opening "greeting".

So let's start with the "long description" -

This is probably the most important part of what makes the character...the character. I'm going to use examples from my Poe Dameron AI since I think he's one of the best behaved ones

So Poe's long description looks like this:

Commander of the Resistance. Is fighting against the First Order. Lives in the Star Wars cinematic universe. Pilots an X-wing T-70. Lives on the Resistance base on D'qar. Leia is the General of the Resistance. Has a rolling orange and white droid called BB-8 that follows him around. Confident. Cocky. Impulsive. Caring. Flirty. Fun. Funny. "Black Leader" is his callsign. Sarcastic. Energetic. Encouraging. Friendly.

I try to keep it as concise as possible while still describing the character and their most important attributes. I'll also mention that the AI draws from the web sometimes. For instance, you can ask Poe Dameron AI who the supreme leader is and he knows it's Kylo Ren despite me never mentioning Kylo Ren in the description. So my theory is that mentioning that he's in the Star Wars cinematic universe makes it draw that connection through data online.

So the other part of this is the "definition". For Poe Dameron AI, I didn't need to do this, but for some of the more complicated ones (I'm looking at you Patient Jake Lockley AI) it's almost a must. This is where the "training" takes place.

If you click on the "insert a chat with (character name)" it brings you to a new screen where you essentially build a conversation that goes how you would expect a conversation with that character to act.

I don't use this as a time to make crazy scenarios and wild stories, this is where I basically play the exact role that I had in mind when creating the AI. So for instance, still using Poe as an example, I play along as his busy tech who doesn't have time for his shenanigans but will eventually give in.

This "trains" Poe to behave a certain way tailored to the scenario I had in mind.

But this "training" can also be used in other ways too...

For Patient Jake Lockley, I had to use this training to basically teach him who he was. The "long description" wasn't long enough to talk about Steven and Marc and all their nuances, so I used this "insert a chat" feature to teach Jake all about Marc and Steven and who they are and about his life.

It helps that the user is a therapist in that scenario because I could say things like "what do you know about your mother?" and then tell him all about Wendy, or I could say, "Would you say you feel protective of Marc?" in order to steer him a certain way. I had to do a similar thing with Marc Vector (my Marc Spector and Venom AI).

This next part might be one of the most important ones, the "greeting".

The greeting is so important because it sets up the scene, and guides both you and the AI into the scenario. This was something that took some finesse on my part. When I was first making the AIs it took me a while to realize just how important this step was.

So let's look at Poe's greeting:

Poe bites his lip and looks you over. "Hey baby, I'm Poe, Poe Dameron." He has a cocky look on his face, "you're the new technician for my ship right? What's your name again?"

So despite it being short and sweet, we've established a few things...

Poe is looking you over, biting his lip, he's a whore.

He has no problem calling you pet names even though you don't know him yet.

The user is a technician working on his ship.

You can go nuts here as the user if you want and change up the scenario completely. "No, I'm not your new tech, I'm Leia's daughter, and I've come to help you destroy the First Order." So you can do whatever you want as the user, but if you have a scenario in mind, the greeting is how you sort of "set the scene."

Here's an example from Patient Jake:

You see your patient, Marc Spector's, demeanor change completely. He looks at you with a furrowed brow and leans forward in his chair. He looks around your office before his eyes land on yours. He smirks and scoffs, "you must be Marc's therapist. Name's Jake Lockley sweetheart, what's yours?" You have Marc's file in front of you on your desk. You've never seen this alter before, and he hasn't been recorded in Marc's medical record.

This tells us:

Your patient Marc is acting differently than normal.

You HAVE a patient, meaning you're some kind of doctor.

Jake is looking around and establishes that you're both in your office.

Jake establishes that you're Marc's therapist.

He tells you his name, which in turn tells (teaches) the AI what his own name is.

He calls you sweetheart, so he's cheeky.

You don't know who this alter is, so you have something to figure out.

So there's a lot of info that the AI can gather from the greeting. So between the greeting, the long description, and the definition, you can make yourself some pretty cool characters!

Once you've made a couple too, you can copy and paste your long descriptions. For instance, ALL my Marc Spector characters have similar long descriptions. "Brooding, self loathing, guilt ridden, concerned, caring, loving" e.t.c.

okay the other thing is like. can we think about why, in-universe and out, one might choose to have the doctor return to a fan favorite regeneration and a regeneration where both the character and actor were reluctant to move on? and (especially in the context of new who being about the doctor's trauma) can we think about why one might then bring in the new exciting regeneration and have that regeneration extend comfort to the prior one?

like people keep treating it like tennant and gatwa are like. competing. but it's not a competition, it's a collaboration. it's a meeting of old and new, it's a passing of the torch. and it's honestly really really beautiful to me.

#did i need to do a 9 page comic for this... well who knows. i had this scene in mind for a long time and wanted to do it justice! #important moment for both of them. you can see starstruck just generating the bandee shaped mental illness in real time. #and bandee resolving to be her point of contact with waddle dees if the others can't handle it #he is after all; the strongest and the bravest and the best of them. #“what is this signature like” it's like meeting something that has a human face but you can tell it is Not Human. think: uncanny valley #it also took her quite some time to pick up her own voice. she could not speak (popstarian) on her own for a while #she does not mimic anymore though if she can help it because it tends to weird others out and she wants to avoid that!! #it's not like a fun or enjoyable impersonation; it's like a perfect recording on a device. #also i guess this is *finally* the reveal of the 'hospital' mentioned previously that folks noticed and also like... her name 😂 #anyway.... thank you to everyone who voted for starstruck in that poll and has encouraged this insane self indulgence... wow. #never thought i'd get to draw stuff like this and have others look forward to it. i really hope you'll enjoy this!!! #my art #my comics #starstruck dee #bandana waddle dee

[WVW Exchange Event 2023!]

"The kisses on your lash, your ears, on the nose that keeps scrunching. The kisses on your hand, on your cheeks, and the exchanging soft words waiting for the break of day."

A total of 6 pages of comics, starting with a close up shots of vash kissing sleeping wolfwood's nose, eyes, lashes, and he furrows them a bit. an overhead shot of the two of them in a motel room, on the bed with vash leaning over wolfwood from the left, laying soft kisses on him. their legs tangled. their normal outfits are thrown haphazardly on the floor, instead donning comfortable clothes. on the outside, the very first ray of lights are yet to shine.

"what a face you're making pfft" - vash says as he grabs both of wolfwood's cheeks, squeezing them a bit. wolfwood mumbles, "There's something that keeps landing on my face, it tickles." he grabs the hand that is on his right cheek. "Well you're letting it happens anyways right?" Vash muses, bringing the hand up to kiss on its knuckles. "Good morning Wolfwood. It's almost dawn"

"… Isn't it way too soon?" - wolfwood asks, but keeps to himself the prayers he's sending to god because the the boy on top of him was such a sight to behold. Vash flops down onto him, leaving the hand hanging and lace his own hand into Wolfwood's hair, peppering kisses to the side of his face. "Yep" - he answers - "But you woke up on your own tho" - facetiously. He giggles, saying that it was a joke after a beat of silence. A sigh, "don't make me upside you first thing in the morning." Wolfwood closes his eyes, hand combing through golden strands. "Heh, how merciful~" "We have a meet up with Milly and Meryl today, remember?" Vash reminds him, which does raise some vague memory. wolfwood hums, the other hand reaching around vash's torso, hugging him. " So, the sooner we arrive, the less likely she'll chew through my head." - Vash adds. "riiiight. And you were SO urgent in waking me up." in wolfwood's hold, both of them slowly turn to the right, towards the edge of the bed.

Well, you were just soooo cute, I couldn't help it! didn't thinkk you'll actually wakE UAA-!"

the bed creaks under the sudden shift in weight as wolfwood tosses vash over and under him, arms firmly hugging him, one at his back and one at his head, hungrily dives down to kiss. "!! Wolf-! Wait-!" Vash yelps, leg instinctively curls around the other's man hip to hang on, trying his damnest to grip on his shirt as HE is now half airborne, barely has any contact with the bed on his upper body. However, wolfwood seems to have another idea as he keeps deepening the kiss, pointedly holding Vash close, hands spread guarding the back of his head as both of them are sliding off the soft fabric.

"THUD!" a resounding fall, possibly enough to wake the room downstairs, followed shortly by laboured breaths amist wet smacks of lips. Heaves and huffs of air exchanging between the two bodies when the need to breath made itself necessary. They press close, cradling each other, and are lost to their own world. After a while they had to part. Metal arm shifts through black locks, caressing down to his nape and they hold eye contacts there, with lidded eyes, strands of saliva thins then breaks.

Wolfwood pushes up on his arms, looking smugly down at his now disheveled partner: "Now this is how it's done, Needlenoggin." he remarks. Vash tries to wrangle his thoughts back in order, but strings of Wolfwood's name and a wonderous question keeps filling his mind, of whether he should risk it all and have fun for a bit more. Regardless, snapping out of his trance, Vash sourly asks, with a wry smile and an aching head: "But did you really need to roll off the bed?" "Wrong side, whoops" - Wolfwood anwers unseriously, laughing as he finds the situation quite amusing.

Thinking again about the fact that when Eddie and Dustin finally convince Steve to play DnD with the party, all of them, but especially Eddie, quickly become exasperated with Steve who has extremely high charisma, and decides that he can fix almost any situation by flirting with whoever they were in conflict with. Especially the fucking monsters, this man is bound and determined to himself a monster boyfriend and until it happens, he will make every single person they come across fall in love with him. So naturally, this happens a lot:
