1. hobi’s room

okay so i thought i would rank jin’s room first but then i saw hobi’s room and i saw that couch nd went OMG okay thats no.1!! i love this interior so so much, like i normally hate orange and blue as a combination but this seems almost more like red and blue and it really reminds me of hopeworld. there’s many pop art-like graphic design posters adorning the walls, showing lines like ‘hope‘, ‘sweet’ and ‘my way‘. the shoes on the closet(?) behind him were disaplayed bc those are the colours we wears the most in his fashion. and then there’s this iconic inflatable clear pink couch and him wearing a pink robe and just GOD what a mood, i want a room like this!! the chair reminds me a lot of the type of fun quirky furniture i fantasized about and incorporated into my drawings as a kid when i was around 8-11, probably because i got inspired by stuff like totally spies and polly pocket, which had all these designs clearly inspired by 60s and 70s space age design but more in pink and purple i guess.

also i hate the search for such stills bc even w safe search on, you still have godawful f3tish drawings depicting those kids from totally spies ending up in search results and it’s disgusting. but yeah it reminded me of that

when i say polly pocket, i particularly mean this quik-clik (magnetic clothes and hair) era in 2005 which was what i had some stuff from. i had that couch / movie night! set and the pool and that

also i just really like hobi’s room because with all the posters and cabinets and clothing items laid out and a carpet and fun colours and whatnot, it really feels like an actual room you could live in, unlike any of the other rooms which feel very empty or too minimalist to me. but YEAH hobi’s room is my fav, i love the way a fuller room feels more cozy and habitable and floaties and inflatable floaties are AMAZING

2. jin’s room

jin’s room is so prettyyyy!! jins explanation of the room was very uhm confident and funny but i love that. the couch looks like a lilac shell, which makes sense as everything else looks very pearlescent. i really love cool-toned pastels like lilac, powder / baby blue, periwinkle and everything just looks like it’s part of a waiting hall for mermaids or something. there’s also gems in it which took me a while to realize bc i only noticed the glass chandelier and lamp but then i saw them in his hand nd on the table. i dont rly care abt gems / jewels but overall i just love how this whole room speaks ‘pretty‘ to me. robes are always a plus. as i was writing this, i was also reminded of hair extension mullet jin with iridescent clothing and all and that is actually my all time fav photoshoot / look of him. him saying he’s the gem of the room makes sense too as he’s sitting in the shell like a pearl. jin pretty pretty mermaid

ok from here on its getting harder bc place 3-8 is not so much abt which is nicer but which one actually makes me feel any emotion bc i just feel too exhausted for excitement over comebacks or anything really. also minimalism doesnt make me feel anything either. but ill try

3. jungkook’s room

ok ive been staring at a screen w few sleep for too long so ill try to go through my ranking faster bc ive been working on this post for too long, also partially bc i cant focus nd partially bc theres some i just rly dont feel much for but i feel bad for ranking one lower than the other or ranking smth higher when ive talked to someone who dislikes a room i like dghkfdf

but yeah i like jungkooks room! its a very intense blue tht might make you depressed if youre in it too long but again i love how theres multiple items stacked in the bg and intense blue lights, and the ceiling looks like it has soundproof padding. its like youre in a recording studio or at some vaguely nostalgic party of a friend of my mom, who had plants in her home nd rock music nd the tv on and was smoking nd it was a bit dark and mysterious. i like it, it intrigues me a bit nd makes me miss going to concerts. also this pic rly just reminds me of 2008-2010 pop music videos where theres always a party and dj and people are wearing sunglasses or something and theres a dance break at the end

4. yoongi’s room

also blue!! the first time i saw this pic it was bc someone sent it to me to say how ugly they thought the decoration / editing looked w the metallic dripping stuff from the couch and whatnot but i kinda like it :( i like his velvety clothing and the light blue in the rest of the room is really pretty. i like mirror themes when done well nd i like how the reflectiveness shows also in the metallic dripping nd metallic spheres and the mirror hes standing on nd the way light reflects on his clothes and from the lamp. only the lamp feels a bit too much like a contemporary art installation for me nd his room already is a bit too empty for my liking nd i had the feeling when i watched the vid of him walking through the room that there was not much to interact w in the room like it was a bit dull. his voice in the explanation videos made it feel more like a place of peace / solitude rather than boredom or loneliness though.

5. namjoon’s room

ehh i think place 5, 6 and 7 are interchangable at this point. namjoon woulve ranked lowest but i listened to his explanation videos and saw him goof around in today’s video and appreciated it a bit more. the room still looks quite minimalist and not super comfortable, like youre not allowed to touch anything there (which is the same for jin i guess but i dont view that as smth meant to look like a living room). i do like how the wood theme is present throughout each wall nd in various items and w the windows nd use of space it feels a bit inspired by japanese interior design and that that is inspired by his bonsai tree nd love for woodwork, but im not sure. i was actually quite shocked some of his explanations were so short. so yeah i place this 5th bc i like how coherent the theme is but it doesnt feel cozy or inviting nd still very cold to me, maybe bc it looks too expensive or minimalistic in terms of colours.

6. jimin’s room

i like the flowers but also i dont like tiny flowers nd they tend to be the stinkier ones. i kind of like how jimins room feels the most like a grandma one w all the flowers nd offwhite and the lamp and beige i think? but the colours are so muted and if anything it feels like a place for a bridal photoshoot nd im just so bored. i love jimin nd feel bad for ranking a room he curated so low but it rly creates no serotonine in my brain, just melatonine bc im sleepy. i like how the room i obviously quite packed w stuff, but then the washed out colours make everything still look very bleak. hmm. i do like how the flowers reach outside the borders unlike w any of the others’ photos. im about to fall asleep so let me quickly finish this post

7. tae’s room

the picture in the middle behind him is interesting nd i dont know how he made that, nd i do like how he described his room as a place where there would always be enough food for visitors. i know it’s meant to communicate some highbrow, artsy vibe but w the weird editing and lightning nothing looks real in the room he’s in (including himself, like it doesnt even look like hes in the room) and it just looks kitschy instead of artsy. yeah i dont gravitate towards this one, it’s like deep-fried and desaturated at the same time nd i tend to avoid looking at it subconsciously

8. the first room photo

i first posted a long description here why but it disappeared but in short. this photo evokes no emotional response to me other than think of kind of crappy hotel rooms i was in w my parents while on vacation nd we slept in the same room or something nd the beds were awful nd made my moms chronic pain worse. the clothing is very boring and so r the colours of the room. i know bangtan curated stuff but its still the least interesting photo to me, maybe im too depressed to feel anything idk

im sorry this was prob very boring TT_TT i tried my best to make a ranking but i rly dont know nor care as much as i would want to

My thoughts on the Jake Paul series

Okay I’m gonna start by saying I’m shit with words and my brain may scatter so if everything seems unorganised in this, then uh, my bad guys.

Now, at the beginning of the series, I didn’t have much of an opinion on Jake Paul. I heard a few stories about him from them trending on social media but I never watched his videos or kept up with his drama. So needless to say, I was able to be pretty unbiased about the series.

Now, at the beginning Shane was learning about what it meant to be a sociopath. He was joined by Kati Morton who I genuinely thought did a horrendous job at explaining the symptoms. Not only did she come across extremely vague to a point where basically anyone could be considered a sociopath, but she also used words like “icky” and “gross” to describe them which was extremely unprofessional of her. Now, I understand she meant that empathetic people would hear about those traits and think the traits are gross but either way, as a professional she shouldn’t be offensive like that about mental disorders. If memory serves correctly, she did end up apologising but her apology, to me, seemed very forced and just not genuine at all. Anyway, you get the point. I don’t agree with the way she came across at all in the situation. As for Shane during that episode, he definitely put a horror vibe into things which didn’t bother me at all. He treated the series like he would any other series of his. I respect that. It made things more entertaining for those who have a hard time focusing and he meant no harm by it. Shane definitely got sociopaths and psychopaths mixed up a lot which is honestly something stupid for people to be mad about. It’s so common for people to mix those two things up and you could definitely tell Shane was doing his best to understand things.

Moving on, his interview with Nick Crompton. I have so much respect for that video. There were funny parts but it was serious when it needed to be. Nick was extremely respectful which I didn’t expect. He’s a very genuine and kind person. You could see that he was trying his best to word things properly and stay honest and respect privacy when needed. I don’t have too much to say about that video. Very professional and respectful.

Alissa Violet. She’s definitely one of the people I had the biggest problems with. She was hurt by Jake repeatedly. That’s undeniable. Their “relationship” was toxic and unstable and a majority of it was Jakes fault. However, one thing that annoyed me the most about her was when Shane asked her if there was anything she might have done wrong in the relationship. If there was anything that she did that could’ve harmed Jake or been toxic/unhealthy. Alissa completely avoided the question by immediately attacking Jake even more. I in no way think Jake is innocent and I’m not trying to justify his actions but Alissa definitely played a part in things that she just completely avoided. She was extremely unhelpful during the entire interview. She made herself seem 100% innocent and blamed alcohol on her actions which is just childish in my opinion.

Moving on to Ericka Costell. I think she is an amazing influence in Jakes life. I think she will be very good to him and make a huge impact on him in the long run. I don’t think she’s completely innocent either. She was friends with Alissa and when Alissa left, she started to date Jake which can cause problems for the friendship. I’m not saying it’s completely wrong to do that but I do think there should’ve been some communication to understand everyone’s feelings about that. Also, I think her song talking about how she isn’t “her”, which I assume is meaning Jakes ex, just seems super petty and immature. I think it was completely unnecessary. Other than that, I think she does her best to be a good person. She’s a little cocky but nothing too extreme.

This part of my opinion will probably upset a lot of people, but I in no way think Jake is racist. His drama with the Martinez twins is just super over dramatic and unnecessary. The Martinez twins never bluntly stated that Jakes jokes were upsetting them. They may have dropped hints about it, sure, but they never bluntly stated that that specific word was upsetting them. Don’t make racist jokes if you can’t handle people making racist jokes back. Don’t expect people to pick up on hints and then get mad when they can’t read your mind. The Martinez twins should have acted like adults and physically stated that the jokes were upsetting them and they shouldn’t have made racist jokes back. So in my opinion, they have no right to call Jake racist for jokes if they were doing the exact same thing.

Oh man, now moving on to Logan Paul. Logan overall was extremely disrespectful. He didn’t act professional. He also felt the absolute need to include himself in one way or another in the series which I just deemed as completely childish. I do NOT think Logan is a sociopath, not at all. I think his environment growing up playing a huge role in his mindset and attitude. I also think he got much more attention and got away with a lot more growing up so he no longer thinks that anyone has a right to tell him what is/isn’t okay. Overall I just think he’s an asshole who knows he’s an asshole but just doesn’t care as long as he’s deemed better than Jake. I believe Logan is extremely narcissistic (not NPD, just very cocky. I’m not sure what other words can describe him besides narcissistic and cocky).

Greg Paul. The father of the boys. He is DEFINITELY the worst person in this series. He is supposed to be an adult and a role model for his sons. He’s supposed to teach them right from wrong and never make one boy feel more loved than the other. I think he’s a terrible father. He supports his kids bad decisions and acts more childish than either boy. He raised his kids to be unhealthily competitive and, in a way, punished the kid who always “lost” in competitions which unfortunately just happened to be Jake. There genuinely way too much to even explain about Greg. He disgusts me as a human being and his kids deserved to be raised in a much better environment than what they were.

Jake Paul. Our main boy. I think Jake has done a LOT of horrible shit. Some of which can never be forgiven. The dead body? Unforgivable. The abuse? Unforgivable. Some things are just incapable of being forgiven. However, holding a grudge isn’t good either. He may not be forgiven for those things but they do not define him as a person either. I think Jake is super oblivious to A LOT of things. I don’t think he genuinely grasps the concept of right from wrong. I think over time he slowly becomes more aware and learns but not unless someone points it out to him and thoroughly explains it. There’s also no denying the fact that Jake is desperately trying to improve himself as a person. He hasn’t quite learned how to word things properly which seems to upset a lot of people but he’s doing his best and I respect that. Jake didn’t defend his actions and instead, he explained his mindset and took blame like an adult. He may not have worded it properly but the intention was obvious that he was trying to own up to his mistakes. I think overtime he will improve a lot in life and become a much better person, I just hope he gets more positive influences in his life and I hope one day he is capable of understanding his dad and brother are toxic to be around and Jake needs to express boundaries with them. I may not be overly fond of Jake but I respect the person he’s trying to become.

Shane. I can’t believe I even have to talk about Shane in this, but apparently he’s getting a lot of hate as well. First and foremost, SHANE DID NOT CONDONE RACISM. Shane made the series to get everyone’s point of view and let them tell their side of the story. He has no intention of attacking anyone or invalidating them. Anyone who is mad saying Shane was allowing racism, you’re being over dramatic. Shane let Jake tell his side of the story. Shane wasn’t there to be biased and rude. Jokes are jokes. Offensive or not, that doesn’t make them “not jokes” just because you don’t find them funny. In multiple videos, Jake AND the Martinez twins made racist jokes towards each other. I dont want to hear any “you can’t be racist towards white people” shit cause that’s just plain ignorant and annoying. You can be racist towards any race. Shane had pure intentions and meant no harm by anything. He has my full respect and he put a lot of time and effort into making this series. He doesn’t deserve this unnecessary hate people are giving him. I have no respect for those who create drama in their minds just to pretend to be oppressed.

Now, Andrew. I don’t even have an opinion for anything involving Andrews actions in the series. Everything is well filmed and edited amazingly. Andrew deserves a lot more credit than he gets and I’m extremely thankful for all his time and effort put into creating this series for all of us. He was, is and continues to be a blessing on the YouTube platform. I hope he gets plenty of rest and recovers from this exhausting series.

but gamers and beauty gurus are both terrible

beauty gurus are fake af, just constant sponsorship to promote products they dont even like, filtering their skin so they constantly look perfect, and just being overall fake personality

gamers are WORSE tho since they’re literally misogynstic scumbags, so many literally coming OUT as rapists and getting support

Youget to know Grizz and he thinks its cool that you’re into Wildlifebiology, and he tells you all about Chloe, the little genius girlthat goes to college and how she could probably help you out withthat stuff. He talks non stop throughout the bus ride home. Youlisten to him prattle on and while you’re no longer worried aboutthis stranger, you can’t help but feel a tad overwhelmed. He tellsyou to hit them up on Facebook so you and your friends can hang outwith them, or just, you know, look up their EveryTube music videochannel. Throughout it all, you listen to him with interest and alittle caution. You’re not used to speaking to this sort of person.You’re not used to being the center of attention, and with all thebus passengers staring at you as he rambles, you most certainlyare.You’re happy to have met him, and you certainlygained a new story to tell your other friends who weren’t there,but are also sorta glad to finally have a moments peace once you step outside the bus. You know that he meant well, and you certainly likehim, but he’s a bit much. You’d like to get to know him and hisbrothers, but with your friends being there. You don’t wanna beleft alone with the big scary man with the loud voice. Overall,Grizz would be a guy who you begin to know over time. He’s anawesome friend. Your withdrawn attitude wouldn’t blend too wellwith his overbearing attitude in a romantic setting since you’d betoo nervous around him. Plus, he’d wanna go to concerts and bigplaces with lots of people. It’d just bring too much stress to you.

Panda Now, you know who else likes to relax at home? Panda.Panda loves to sit underneath some cushions and watch his favoriteKorean dramas on Netflix. He’d even give you recommendations hereand there, when he’s not being overshadowed by Grizz or stammeringlike a dork. (He’d be thinking that about himself)You knowwho else doesn’t open up too easily? Panda. Because you see himsitting there looking small, you can’t help but feel more relaxed. He’s a non-threatening, calm presence. You strike up a conversationwith him, and with Grizz leading the whole thing, he begins to openup more and more, and soon you begin to open up more. You and yourfriends learn more about the brothers through Grizz and Panda, withIce Bear giving reinforcing statements here and there. Over time youbegin to form a bond with all three of them, and Panda becomes afriend of yours on a social media website. Over time youtwo share your interests, your hobbies, embarrassing stories whicharen’t completely 100% accurate. (He wants to look cool to impressyou, but he slips up sometimes. You might find them charming orweird) He likes calm settings and has a sensitive attitude.He’d be careful not to upset you and is willing to try new thingsthat you enjoy so he can talk to you more. And here and there, he’dtry to casually date you in a way that seems more like he wants tohang out, so you don’t feel too awkward about it. You might noteven realize he’s doing this until later. He’d try to act suavebut come off as strange. A poorly told joke here, a bad quip there. Anybody who can see what’s going on would cringe. Howyou react to this is up to you. (If you want to talk about somethingelse like something you saw online he’d quickly forget where he wasand act normal again.)

If you decide he’sa creep, well bummer. Hanging out with the bears would be uncomfortable for a while. Time heals all wounds at least. And he would try his best to be a friend. He just wants you to like him in any way at that point.If you decide he’s worth a try, then get ready forlots of cuddles, awkward flirting, taking selfies in trendy places,teasing and support from his brothers, and sharing secrets that onlyyou guys trust each other with.Heck, you’dprobably bring your own laptop to the cave and save his wifi passwordbecause the other bears want to use their shared laptop for something“important.” (It’s looking up dog prank videos) Lots of Netflix marathons. (No Netflix and chill, but one day you’d see that meme while sitting right next to him and hoo boy, try not to make things too awkward~)
