So, for Day 17 of the event, I used one of the questions from prompt six for Akiyama from K Project! I don’t often write Scepter 4, but I hope all the fans of this character will enjoy these little headcanons 😊

What is your favourite kind of cake?

I could make the obvious Christmas cake joke here, because Akiyama prefers older women…but I’ll try to answer this more seriously, haha!

I really do think Akiyama really loves the sweetness that comes from fruit and that strawberries are among his absolute favourite fruits, so it’s no surprise that one of his favourite types of cake is strawberry shortcake.

Going along those same lines, he’s really a fan of ichigo daifuku, though he’s really picky about where he buys it from.

He’s actually really finicky period about where he buys his sweets from. He’s someone who does actually get kind of picky about his food in all aspects and he likes to think he has a refined palette, so desserts that might be a bit more cheaply made or that don’t have the right texture to him? Unacceptable.

I also think Akiyama would be a big fan of castella cake, but that’s a special treat for him. His mother would always make it to celebrate any big achievement Himori accomplished, like getting top in his year in school or getting into the military. Because he does kind of connect the cake to the feeling of accomplishment and pride, he only lets himself get it as a special treat when he feels he’s done something to be proud of or achieved something he’s been working on.

Saya: (It's my first visit and I'm getting kind of nervous… Maybe I should talk with senpai about something)

Saya: Um, are you into tea, senpai?

Munakata: Yeah. That's right.

Munakata: I call all the new members of the club to keep me company. It's like a regular event.

Saya: Wow…It's kind of nice that tea is a regular event.

Munakata: Yeah. It is sad that this is a one-time event because everyone always busy.

Munakata: --Well, here you go.

Saya: Y-yeah. Thank you for the food.

Saya: (I believe I had to turn my arm when I drink)

Saya: (To right or to left, which way should I turn it…?)

Munakata: Because it's a hobby, you don't have to be so formal. Don't worry about the etiquette.

Saya: O-okay. Thank you very much.

Saya: (What a relief. But it's a good opportunity for me to check out etiquette of tea-ceremony)

Saya: S-sorry…Em--

Saya: (It's more…bitter than I expected)

Munakata: How is the taste?

Saya: (At a time like this, really…)

Saya: Y-You have good skills at making tea…

Munakata: Fufu, is that so? Thank you.

Munakata: …But your face says it's bitter.

Saya: !

Saya: Sorry…

Munakata: Because it's not what you are used to drinking, it can't be helped.

Munakata: …Oya, could it be that you are not eating Wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets)?

Saya: Eh? Yeah. I thought I shouldn't eat it without permission…

Munakata: My apologies. I completely forgot to mention…

Munakata: Sweeten your mouth and then take the tea, it's the orginal procedure of the tea ceremony.

Saya: Eh! Is that so?

Munakata: Yeah. I should have instructed you about that before I said you don't have to follow the rules of etiquette.

Saya: When you said "sweeten your mouth", does that mean it will help get rid of the bitterness a bit?

Munakata: Yeah. I think you probably won't find it as bitter as you do now.

Munakata: If you would like to join me again next time, I will try to recommend Wagashi first.

Saya: Okay. I got it. I'll study a little more about etiquette by then.

Munakata: I am glad to hear that. I look forward to the next tea ceremony.

Munakata: Well, I guess it's time to break up. Thank you for your time.

Saya: No, I've learned a lot. Well then…

Saya: (Because I was sitting on the floor, my legs fell asleep…)

Munakata: Are you all right?

Saya: …Ouch!

Scepter 4 asking Akiyama if his hair is naturally flashy or he purposely make it that way. It's funny cause it's seems the opposite of Benzai's smooth & silly hair that follow gravity. Or should I call it swoosh hair too like you said about Munakata's bangs?

I mean clearly there’s already an answer to this: he styles it that way to hide his demon eye. Of course everyone does wonder how Akiyama gets his hair to do that, does he use products like Fushimi presumably does or is it all natural like Munakata’s swoosh (fun fact: Munakata’s bangs are held up by hundreds of itty bitty sparkles). Especially with his hair being so different from Benzai’s, the two of them together make an interesting sight with Benzai’s perfectly straight smooth silky hair and Akiyama’s all messy and ruffled. When asked Akiyama just shrugs and smiles, Benzai says that sort of thing runs in Akiyama’s family. No one entirely believes him until Akiyama gets back one day from visiting his family, his great-grandmother was ill again so he stopped by to be sure she was doing better. They took a picture while he was there and the squad all come over to look, there’s Akiyama surrounded by a bunch of women all with their hair slightly swooshy and covering one eye. And that’s how the rumors start that Akiyama in fact comes from an entire family of MILFs (which must be why he likes them so much) and that they all have a demon eye that will kill you if you see it. Akiyama laughs at the rumors and then pretends to push up his bangs the next time he finds Hidaka looking at his phone instead of working, Hidaka goes pale and hurries to get the work before the demon eye takes him. Benzai meanwhile just watches all this and smiles calmly, the only one who knows whether Akiyama is joking or not.

I came up with a wonky oneshot story for the ABC boys and Fushimi, like, what IF they were on a mission to capture a strain with the ability to revert someone into the past or into the future, like what if the ABC boys got hit by that strain, and where moved into Fushimi’s past, wouldn’t that be a big fiasco?!

"We Met at a Anime Convention"

Just a silly drabble I wrote for myself - and to ramble about myself/my s/i in a way.

“We met at an anime convention, honestly.” The even and blank way that it was said caused my co-workers to look at me in confusion, amusement, and awe. One of them - Enomoto Tatsuya - let out a snort from his lips, covering his mouth and looking away.

Another - Akiyama Himori - seemed to deflate at this fact. Both were amusing to me.

“What?” I said, voice now getting quieter and more annoyed. “You all were talking about how we met the Captain after all.”

“Yeah,” Benzai Yujiro, who sat directly beside me in the bathing room, began. “But you’re like Fushimi in the fact that it makes too much sense that you just appeared.”

Furrowing my brows, I stared at Benzai for a second or two before looking at the others. In the midst of getting clean, the others simply nodded in agreement. Sighing, I rolled my eyes and went back to cleaning myself up.

“That makes no sense and you all know it,” I said, bitterly.

“Fushimi was taken from HOMRA - he clearly didn’t like it there. I, however, was content in being a convention artist.”

“Sure you were, Kawaguchi.” Kamo Ryuho said, across the room with a toilet around his waist; clearing leaving the conversation and room.

“And I was content in being in debt to my brother and a chef.”

Another grumble left my lips - low and full of annoyance - attempting to get myself clean before this whole thing could keep on. The others could tell, and one of them - Domyoji Andy, someone who was more similar to me than I’d like to admit - grinned from ear to ear, getting up and leaning against my shoulder.

“Admit it, Kawaguchi,” Domyohji poked my cheek, his wet skin sticking to mine in such an uncomfortable way. I wanted to squirm, to push him off —

But I didn’t, so I let him continue.

“You love it here, especially with the extra attention you get from the Captain.”

The grin remained on his features, and all I wanted to do was to push him aside and pour water over his still dry hair.

Is this how Fushimi felt whenever he was forced to socialize?

    Why did I need to speak up about how I met the Captain. . .?

“I don’t see how any attention I may get from Munkata has to do with my enjoyment in our work?”

It was hard, keeping a dry and even tone - trying to pull a Fushimi without the trauma - my voice cracking awkwardly at the Captain’s name.

“I’m just saying, we met at an anime convention.”

I hated how the ones who remained were staring at me - waiting for more information on how, exactly, we met.

I squirmed in my spot, going to move from the stoll I sat at to the bath itself. If I was going to be forced to talk about my experiences with Munakata Reisi, I’m going to do it in the bath. Or, at least that’s what I decided to do.

“We met at an anime convention I was tabling at, my big brother told me to expect someone who ‘was serious and expecting too much’ to come to my table. So, I thought my big brother had hooked me up with someone, you know? Like a publisher —”

“ - He sure hooked you up, alright.”

Domoyohji joked, which resulted in me giving him a glare. It didn’t seem to phase him, in fact, he just. . . Decided to get into the bath besides me, fluttering his eyelashes as if I was telling him a bedtime story.

If he wasn’t someone I considered to be a friend, I would’ve just ignored him.

“So, I waited. It took me a while to realize that the Captain would be uniformed and just standing at my booth for fifteen minutes before he asked me if I wanted a job.”

To prove my point, I threw my arms up in the air - splashing Domoyohji who laughed, and causing the others to shake their heads and chuckle.

“I thought he wanted. .  Like. . . A drawing of himself in his get-up or something, not being a part of a Special Police Force fighting and going after Strains?”

“I don’t think anyone expected to be a part of the Scepter Four, Kawaguchi.” Akiyama said, in the midst of drying his hair and getting ready to leave. “You’re just overthinking it, as perusal.”

“You’re overthinking this Akiyama!” I hollered out, before going to sink into the bath water more - hiding most of myself underneath the water.

Domoyohji patted the top of my head, trying not to laugh.

“I just. . . Met him at an anime convention is what I wanted to say.”

“Okay, Kawaguchi.”

What if Akiyama wears bangs covering one eye because he is blind in one eye? What will be the reaction of Scepter 4?

This reminds me of a comic I saw on Pixiv where Akiyama just had a blank spot where his eye should be (I think he was supposed to be a Strain in that one?). Maybe Akiyama got injured in that eye while he was in the Defense Force, like when he was younger say you could actually see both his eyes but then during some mission he gets shrapnel in his eye. Since he can't see out of it anymore he just starts growing his bangs out over it, it makes him feel more comfortable to have the eye covered (and this way he can let people think he has a demon eye). Benzai of course knows the truth and presumably Munakata does as well but no one else realizes that's the real reason why Akiyama hides his eye.

Then one day during everyone's annual checkup that's when they find out, like the alphabet squad are getting their eyes checked and Hidaka's teasing Enomoto a little for being the blind member of the squad. The doctor asks Akiyama to move his bangs so his eyes can be checked and Akiyama says it should be in his file, that this eye is blind. Hidaka's like wait Akiyama-san you're blind in one eye and Akiyama says he is, he didn't realize that people didn't know. The squad are probably all really impressed with him though, like the way he carries himself no one would think that he's blind in one eye, he never seems to have issues fighting with his sword or anything like that. Doumyouji thinks it's a relief because he was a little worried about the demon eye, Akiyama gives him an innocent look and is like well of course my demon eye is blind, it's part of the curse. He smiles gently at everyone and then walks out with Benzai, leaving the others behind like 'he was kidding, right?....Right?'.
