Surreal Paintings By Octavio Ocampo Who Play With Hidden Faces
With an incredible sense of detail, Mexican artist Octavio Ocampo (b. 1943) has mastered the art of creating paintings that awaken all of our senses. For this creative, art seems to be a family heritage; his relatives were all of the profession. This is why he became interested in it at a very young age and which led him to study at the Beaux-Arts where he specialized in learning illusionism.
Some night/autumn-related art from last week and also a comic.
The sweater art piece involved more reverse-shading techniques with a multiply layer erased away with one of the more water-color-y brushes set to erase mode.
This weekend/Friday was fun, though I spent most of the weekend in loaf mode after spending the whole day at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. The earlier parts of the week had me still recovering from the off-feeling that many people have after a cold for a few days. I'm glad I recovered enough to enjoy the later parts of the week.
I asked @ladderofyears what I should draw (I've been swamped with fest things and wanted to draw for fun! SO MANY FEST THINGS) and she asked for Drarry dads napping with their lil peanut Scorpius, and I will take any excuse to draw him 🥰
