What I also like about RC:

Agreed!!

I loooove the diamond rushes, a great way to play premium choices without breaking the bank! And they seem to do these pretty often.

Also adored the CGs in HS and HS2, and the interactive art imbedded in the main story (for example the clouds and floating islands in HS/HS2).

Most characters are also really well-designed!

And yes - choices actually matter/change the story.

what are some of your jeankasa modern au hcs? ☺️ and i’m kind of curious what you think their respective fashion styles r like

I’ll start with Fashion :

As for fashion styles : I’ve made two posts showing how I think they would dress.

Mikasas style : X

As a child she likes girly sort of cottage core clothes and overalls. In HS she goes through a goth phase, more in a 80s/ 90s goth then an early 2000s mall/ hot topic sort of way. But she did enjoy getting accessories at hotopic and twilight sleepy shirts. By the end of HS and Uni she is mostly in aethlesure. She was so many sets. She still wears dark liner as a nod to her old style and she’s back to gravitating to pinks , and blues again. She is a silver girl for sure. She wears a lot of jewelry even if she’s wearing a unitard and a hoodie. She manages to never look messy somehow. Her crazy bed head is her best kept secret only Sasha ,Armin and Eren know about it. Her makeup bag is expensive but kinda bare bones. She wouldn’t be the type to have a makeup room.

Jeans style: X

As a child he would get dressed by his mom like a little dork alot of sweater vests. In HS I think he would dress a bit accurate to bad boy Jean in Isayamas school castes. I think he would try to break free of his mothers styling choices for him.

In Uni he would find himself. Jean loves gold. He is the type to ask for gold for every special occasion. He has a gold Cuban chain that he never takes off. He has some diamond studs but he only wears them to parties and Connie teases him.

He gravitates towards , preppy /sporty sort of clothes with a 80’s and 90s influence. Think Tommy Hilfiger and college sweatshirts / caps. He also wears a lot of work wear and takes alot of inspo from people like James Dean, Paul Newman . And generally old Americana and music videos.

He would actually be surprisingly articulate in fashion.

He loves dressing up but acts really nonchalant when people comment on his clothes. Although He once sliced his food budget in half for 2 months so he could buy a dressy coat. Any vacation he goes on he looks up the shopping first then food places.

HEAD CANONS

Jean and Mikasa are both really involved in university extra curriculars and they make it look easy.

Mikasa finds Jean a little over bearing at first but since she sees him at so many community and Uni events she gets to know him and actually finds him kinda funny when he isn't trying and reliable.

Jean was in a frat for his first semester before he decided it was dumb because someone was rude to Marco.

Mikasa and Marco really get along and that makes Jean jealous at first when then were all just friends.

Marco and Sasha finally get Jean and Mikasa confident enough to ask eachother out

Jean spent a whole day learning how to change car oil because Mikasa complained about the price one time. Then he casually dropped that he had been tired because he been changing his car oil earlier and if anyone needed their oil changed they could hit him up. Unfortunatly that meant everyone else in the firend group now gets free oil changes now.

Mikasa is never on socials and Jean is on them too much

Mikasa has a extremely clean car but the trunk is basically a storage unit

Both spend too much when they go shopping

Jean turns anything and everything into a date. Barnes and noble date ! Study date ! Errand date ! Taco Bell date !

Everyone thinks Jean and Mikasa are just some odd opposites attract fling . When they move in it’s a shock ! When they get engaged it’s a shock!

Have you contacted RC support about the HS import issue? Your posts are making me afraid to replay

If you recently replayed HS just before HS2 dropped every major choices should be ported over. My gameplay dates back from early 2020s (when it was still new and ongoing) hence why I think it didn't work in my case.

The simple solution would be to replay HS over again, re-doing the same choices I made but honestly, it was emotionally hard seeing everyone die in the season finale and I had to replay that a lot to get Malbonte's ending partially thanks to the Diamond Rush too 😬

I think my case is just odd, which isn't off-brand for me lol but you shouldn't let the fear stop you from playing the series ✨

4. which cryptid being do you believe in?

listen i LOVE cryptozoology my dream is to one day go to the annual mothman festival in west virginia and spend an entire weekend. i don't necessarily believe-believe but if at least one were real???? like say....the yeti... i would not be shocked. honestly it makes me pretty happy to think that there are all sorts of interesting creatures out there. so maybe not true belief but wanting to believe?

21. something you’ve kept since childhood?

my childhood dog passed on when i was a teen. her name was jackie, and she had a white collar with a diamond bejeweled bone. the leather got worn down over the years but i still have the jeweled bone!! eventually i would like to get a copy of it tattooed + have the pendant remade into a bracelet or hair clip.

it's actually one of the only things i still have from my childhood! some things are just worth saving.

24. if we were together on a rooftop, what would we be doing?

definitely eating for one. i don't know how you feel about fast food but it's not something i eat bc i worry about cross contamination (no meat outside of seafood for me) so it'd have to be either a picnic or convenience store snacks. totally painting each other's nails and talking about childhood comforts and fiction.

33. the last adventure you’ve been on?

i did a roadtrip with an old coworker of mine. he moved out to idaho about a year and a half ago now, but we were good friends fast so we try to stay in contact. he had to drive back my way on his way to go see his parents so he stopped, picked me up, and then we went all the way up to NH together. it was a lot of fun. i really appreciate his calm way of going through life; he lived out of his van by choice for a few years straight out of hs and then saved up to buy a plot of land so he could start building his own place. he's like a strange cousin to me.

34. is there a song you know every word to by heart?

so many!!! memorizing lyrics is easy for me. i've been singing un puño de tierra by becky g (my girllllll) in the shower though lately. and while washing dishes. and driving. basically all the time. i rarely even play the song anymore since it's already so stuck in my head.

41. how do you take your coffee? (or other hot drink)

if i'm very tired i'll just drink regular old black coffee to wake up, no milk. for hot drinks i really prefer to have matcha or a bay leaf and cinnamon stick tea.

43. what’s your take on spicy foods?

i'm latina; if it's not spicy, i don't want it lol. i have been really into indian food recently actually and have been learning tons of new recipes bc they have such a large amount of vegan and vegetarian dishes that all have a kick to them. it's great.

46. favorite holiday film?

i'm a the nightmare before christmas girl all the way. one of my favorite films in general, even outside of the holiday category. i also like to watch the low budget horror films they come out with for holidays (mostly the halloween ones but the christmas ones are always pretty funny too).

Tbh, I don't think so 🤔 Up to this point, there was no diamond choice/ prompt to improve our relationship with her like it happened with War. So yeah, probably not.

Maybe, War is the only romanceable horsemen.

Which is unfortunate, I'm sure that players would appreciate more female LIs in HS.

Don't lose hope tho! Season 2 just started so everything could happen 👀👌❤

heyy! i was just wondering what other stories you play on romance club. i have recently played the desert rose and i love it so much. i’m already completely obsessed with one of the lis (adil). i highly recommend. i’m waiting until a diamond rush to try and finish more of heavens secret, but i have heard the second book is not looking to hot for malbonte & lucifer lovers. how are you feeling about hs2. hope you’re having a good day <3

I'm also playing Kali rn and im devastated this is the last season. Like I need more...this cant be the end already 😭😭😭

Personally I like super toxic, slow burn LIs so my choices of LIs in the stories I play def reflect that. Like in Kali, I'm on an Amrit route. I know he's not for everyone but he's it for me 🥰 Hence why I also love Lucifer in HS. Also playing Vying for Versailles rn and Im on the Prince Phillipe retinue but I'm romancing the King but lowkey when Alexandre becomes available I'm jumping ship to him bc he's def a good slow burn and toxic.. aka my dream man (KIDDING LOL)

As for HS2, it's way too early to call it and I think overall no one got a super welcoming/loving playthrough. I think this is going to be SUCH a good slow burn season. I can already see that we might have to sneak around with our LI which I LOVE. Im on a Lucifer route and I didn't think it was bad. It's clear he still loves MC but there's alot going on rn. Even MC doesn't buy his mean act rn..she says that it's obvious he's doing that to now show their closeness which would make both of them vulnerable. I'm SUPER excited to see how this is all going to play out!!

Jack Hillgrove: Following His Pap’s Path into the Sports World

Let’s get this over with right now. This guy is a Pitt fan. Yes, he’s quite aware with what Pitt rhymes with. Yes, he’s reminded all the time which team won this season’s “Backyard Brawl.” And no, he’s not a fan of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline”. He was, but that was a while ago, back when he was just a kid, but then he made friends with a few Mountaineer fans, and, well, that was that. Jack Hillgrove, though, has a really, really, really good reason for his unfortunate fandom of the Pitt Panthers, and it just might be the only excuse a West Virginia fan could ever accept. Ever heard of Bill Hillgrove? THE Bill Hillgrove? The “Voice” of the Panthers and the Steelers? That's right, him … THE Bill Hillgrove. Well, Jack Hillgrove followed his Pap’s footsteps, that’s for sure, when he landed his first big gig with 97.3 FM The Fan in Pittsburgh, and these days the 25-year-old sports journalist serves as a sports anchor and reporter for WTOV-9 in Steubenville. He covers high school and college sports on a daily basis, and Hillgrove goes pro when he can make his way to Heinz Field, PNC Park, and PPG Arena. It was a dream come true he viewed with a real-world lens when a teen-aged Jack accompanied his grandfather to those professional press boxes, and now the young man is learning how to live up to that legendary last name. Jack and his grandfather, Bill Hillgrove, have attended many Pitt practices together in the past. Which team – the Pirates, Steelers, or the Penguins – will be first to win its league championship, and why? Man, I would love to say the Penguins, especially this year, but I think fans need to put a lot of stock into them being the oldest team by average age in the NHL. I do not think that will translate to a long Stanley Cup run this summer. To really answer the question, I think it's the Steelers. I cannot in good faith pick the Pirates out of the three, because I am not particularly sold on the prospects they currently have in the system. On the flip side, I still believe in Mike Tomlin, and I believe in Kenny Pickett. They just have to get a competent offensive coordinator in there! When it comes to your sports apparel, which of those teams does it appear you support the most? Please don't click away WVU fans, but it's the Pitt Panthers! The answer to my next question will provide much more clarity as to why, but I still have my fair share of Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins gear hanging in my closet. The young journalist began meeting the famous - including the late Arnold Palmer - at an early age thanks to the legendary Bill Hillgrove. A Pitt game inspired you to follow your grandfather into the media business? Please tell your West Virginia fans that’s false information! It is not false information WVU fans, I am sorry. When your grandfather has been the voice of Pitt hoops for 55 years, and the voice of Pitt football for 50 years, you don't have much of a choice! My dad is also a Pitt grad and was a student manager on the basketball teams that had Charles Smith, Jerome Lane, and Sean Miller back in the '80s. But when I was eight years old, I had the chance to enter the Pitt radio booth for the first time, and I was immediately hooked. I then went on to work as a spotter and statistician for my Pap during all the Pitt radio broadcasts (hence all the Pitt gear!) from 2007 to 2021. It truly sparked my love and passion for this business, and you wouldn't see me on your TVs doing the sports at night without that experience.  What is the most difficult part of doing what you do for a living? The schedule can become very gruesome, especially around playoff time for HS football, boys' and girls' hoops, and baseball and softball. It's a lot of seven-day weeks, 12+ hour days, and working ten, 11, sometimes 12 days in a row. Powering through that can be tough, but I still very much love this business, what I do, and who I do it for! The relationships I have developed with Upper Ohio Valley residents and its schools and athletic teams have been tremendous. It makes me enjoy my job 100 times more than I already do. Jack became a Pitt fan many years ago thanks to his grandfather's positions as the play-by-play broadcaster for Pitt's football and basketball programs. What is the best sports movie ever made, and why do you feel that way? Part of me really wants to say Caddyshack, because of how quotable the movie is, but to answer your question seriously, I think it’s the Sandlot. There's just something to me about the true innocence behind all of the kids and just wanting to play baseball that makes it a beautiful story, especially to all those people, me included, who dreamed about playing in the big leagues one day. TOP 5 RC LIs

Thank you so much for the tag @somin-yin 💗 This made me realize that my taste is actually quite diverse. I’m putting it under the cut because it’s a bit long and i’m just rambling lol The list isn’t in any particular order !

🤍 Liam: He’s such a unique LI: so soft, kind and gentle but he’s also tormented, deeply sad and kinda crazy too. The perfect mix lmao No but for real tho I’m not into the super nice LIs and wasn’t even attracted to him at frst, but he won me over in his first diamond scene when he kissed Selena’s hand and nose. Realizing that there was more to him than the perfect facade he’s showing just made me fall deeper for him. I also love his chemistry with Selena; they balance each other SO well and their bond is just special.

🧡 Leo/Aslan: Kind, charming, flirty, confident... what else can you ask for? I really like his interactions with MC. Aslan was always there for Lale and they only ever had each other (then Vlad joined them) which helped them form this strong everlasting bond. They just know each other SO well, and that obviously lasted even for their new lives. There’s just smth magical about their romance that i can’t put into words. (also the intriguing swallow and the sun story representing them !!!!)

💙 Reinhold: Look yes i know, he’s pretty “evil” but i can’t help it. His chemistry with MC is too good to ignore. The enemies to lovers, the pining, the yearning... I just couldn’t help but fall for him. Also, it’s obvious he is only acting that way because he is obliged to. It doesn’t absolve him from any blame ofc but i also understand where he comes from. As he said it’s not black and white. I still haven’t played the update where they reveal his backstory and start his redemption arc but i’m sure it will make me love him even more.

💚 Kazu: So gentle yet deadly. Another charming, flirty and confident LI i’m falling for lol He’s always pushing Mei to be confident in herself and her abilities. They both make the other a better person. I also like the fact that Mei and him are opposites lifestyle-wise (i mean an assassin and a geisha!!!). That just makes their relationship super interesting to me.  I had to use a promo pic for him because there’s no in-game CG where we can see him well. A crime i swear. 

🖤 Lucifer: Oh yeah the LI that made me go back to RC lol I actually used to play RC before Choices but then stopped. When i downloaded the app back, i played HS first (which actually just started releasing before i quit RC) and Lucifer was a big incentive. I really like him. He’s an asshole but his chemistry with MC is undeniable. I love the process of him falling for her, getting soft for her and him not knowing how to handle it lmao Also, i played my MC as an angel and i loved that contrast/opposition between them and the forbidden romance.

Honorable mentions to Max from Mooborn (my first RC LI), Aaron from Shadows Of Saintfour (i couldn’t resist!!!), Adrian and Marshall from Rage Of The Titans (i love both ok?!).
