Kisekae Insights #46: Kamen Rider Zi-O Part 4 - King’s Dominion
Tumblr media
“The powers of the Kamen Riders have finally been inherited. Now, the curtain rises on the final battle to decide the true king of time. Joyful all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies!”
The finale arc of the original Zi-O was something I definitely wanted to improve on. Despite the series being about time, the finale arc changed focus to it being about Rider worlds, cementing its status of being Decade 2.0. With all plots and footage available from the entire series used up, the plots for the final arc of the series are adapted from the final episodes of Kamen Rider Zero-One, which still worked to my benefit despite the pandemic affecting production of that series.
Let’s dive into the final arc of the series and see how my adaptation skills fared.
Episode 31: Scaredy Boys and Fearless Girls ~ Between Quartzer 2019 ~
Adapted from the Hyper Battle DVD Kamen Rider BiBiBi no BibillGeiz and Decade episodes 24 and 25. This was originally going to be separate DVD extras/specials until I realised that I needed a filler episode and the specials were short enough that I could combine them into one.
The boys and girls get their own focus in this episode. In the first half, Sougo, Kazuto and Mark set up a haunted school for Geiz after he got scared the night before watching classic Doctor Who. As everyone realises that the school could be actually haunted, Geiz obtains the Bibill Ridewatch.
Meanwhile in the second half, Luna has breakfast with Akari, Narutaki and Veronica. They were originally waiting on Kayley, but she was being held up by a Makamou named Chinomanako who steals her Diend Gunmorpher (non-X). The Makamou uses it to transform into Chinomanako Diend aka Gedou Diend, a hybrid Another Rider who can summon monsters through the Gunmorpher.
Kensuke breaks his partnership with Swartz as he sets the Quartzer Riders on him. The girls manage to defeat Gedou Diend, but Swartz uses the non-X Gunmorpher’s power to create the Diend Anotherwatch. Despite this setback, the girls head for an overnight hot springs trip before Luna comes home to the boys who are still spooked over what happened at the haunted school.
In other scenes, the other Sougo becomes Ohma Zi-O; Changyue recalls how he paid two Soulbound villains to create a distraction so he can steal the technology for the Ridewatches, Ziku Drivers and Time Mazines; and Swartz meets with Heure and Ora and gives them the Diend and Gold Drive Anotherwatches…
Episode 32: An Eternal Party ~ Another World 2019 ~
Adapted from Zi-O episodes 44, 45 and 46, namely the Another Worlds arc but without Another Drive because that’s already been done. Sougo’s birthday is rejoiced in this episode.
Previously, we had Woz servants for Sougo and Geiz, namely Kazuto (Black Woz) and Kensuke (White Woz), but this episode features a new Woz named Akihito Hayasaka (Red Woz), who serves the queen of time Tsukuyomi ABC and transforms into Kamen Rider Woz The Next, taking the place of Kamen Rider Aqua in the adaptation of this arc. However, Luna makes it clear to Akihito that even if were to become the queen of time, she won’t rule unless Sougo and Geiz are with her.
Heure and Ora make their appearance as Another Diend and Another Gold Drive as they fight Tsukuyomi and Woz The Next followed by Proto Woz and the Quartzer Riders. This is just after Swartz sent them into another world to fight G4, Fuma, Dark Ghost and Rey.
Tetsuya Iwanaga reprises his role as Yūni Yamishima, aka Kamen Rider Eternal, and to be honest, I didn’t picture him hitting as hard compared to Mitsuru Matsuoka as Katsumi Daidou. Oh well, Iwanaga’s the only guy we could get who can fluently speak English.
E-Zen Tiforp returns from episode 2 and new OCs Rainbow Lightspeed and Alchemic Flower are introduced. Replacing Yukihiro from the Den-O tribute in the original is Another Fourze/Faiz from episode 3, whose Another World has him seeing his girlfriend alive and well. Proto Woz’s summoned Rider is Mad Rogue, who engages Tsukuyomi as Proto Woz fights Woz Ginga Finally as part of their plan to send the two of them into Geiz’s Another World. As part of this plan, Kensuke also steals his Future Note back from Narutaki.
Episode 33: The Power of ABC ~ [REDACTED] Would Bang 2014 ~
Adapted from the Over Quartzer movie.
The title of this episode is a reference to Akari Ichigo and her real name, which has been redacted for privacy reasons. Basically in Year 9, people continued to learn about my crush on Akari and one of the boys managed to rhyme a shortened version of her name with “would bang”. The year 2014 in the title is a reference to Akari Ichigo being the main villain of the two Doctor Who series I produced and broadcast in that year.
In the last episode, Kensuke went back in time and recruited two villains relating to Hiroki’s past in different timelines (as parallel isotopes); in 2014, he recruits Akari Ichigo, who had just killed her husband in their final battle, then in 2013, he recruits the main villain of The Name of Hiroki Ichigo, who had spread himself all over Hiroki’s timestream inside his grave on Trenzalore - let’s call him Hisahide Matsunaga. In case I haven’t mentioned him before, Hisahide was one of my fans at high school in Year 7 and 8 who started teasing me when he got put in my class in Year 9. Together, Hiryuu Kakogawa, Hisahide Matsunaga and Evil Akari Ichigo are Kamen Riders Barlckxs (pronounced “Barukus” but not like “Baracus”), Zonjis and Zamonas. The three Riders can use the power of the Ancient Kamen Rider Ridewatches to utilise powers associated with them. Hiryuu’s goal with Quartzer is to restart the Heisei era from scratch, not his Superboy-Prime attitude of “things were better in the Showa era!” which was what he said in the final stage show.
Later, Swartz has Heure and Ora recreate the remaining Another Riders that hadn’t been recreated previously by forcibly contracting people; if an Another Rider is created and destroyed twice, the Time Jackers can summon them as they please without requiring contracts. As the Time Jackers come into conflict with Barlckxs’ group, Kensuke confronts Sougo’s group and sends duplicates of the Sisterhood of Karn to fight them. The defeat of Sougo’s group in that battle leads Luna to agree to Akihito’s offer for a new power and he uses the power of Geiz Revive and Woz Ginga Finally to create the Tsukuyomi ABC Ridewatch, which combines with the power of Ohma Zi-O to allow her to assume her upgrade/super form, Tsukuyomi ABC.
At the end of the episode, Akihito gives Sougo the Woz Ridewatch. It is also revealed that Akihito is working with Kensuke and Quartzer as he is sent to go undercover with the Time Jackers…
Episode 34: Assorted Spirits of the Past ~ Villain of the Chaos 2013 ~
Adapted from Zi-O’s final stage show.
In a similar vein to the last episode, the year 2013 in the title is a reference to The Name of Hiroki Ichigo being produced and broadcast in that year. The tagline is a reference to how Hisahide Matsunaga prided himself as a villain in Samurai Warriors 4.
Akihito obtains two blank Ridewatches from Swartz, then uses one of them to turn the Dark Ninja into Another Ninja in 2022. Once Another Ninja is destroyed by Ninja, Okachi and Mizuna, Akihito uses the other blank Ridewatch to create another Ninja Anotherwatch, which he uses on Iroha Kagura in 2019. Kensuke makes contact with the three Riders and offers to help them stop Another Ninja as he brings them to 2019.
Back in 2019, the Time Jackers recreate Another Shinobi, Another Quiz and Another Kikai as well and set them on the Ninja Riders as they fight Another Ninja. Sougo and his friends arrive at the scene only for Kensuke to send the Dorks out at them. As Zi-O’s side manages to gain the upper hand, Kensuke demoralises Zi-O by revealing that in 2013 of the actual (Hiroki’s) timeline, he would murder the Dorks’ leader. Upon returning home, Mirror World Sougo berates Sougo for getting scared over killing one person in the future when he would end up killing many more people as Ohma Zi-O. Hearing his friends talking about his past, Sougo heads downstairs to explain himself, which is received by reassurance from the others that it isn’t his fault that people see him differently.
Elsewhere, Hiroki and Kayley are upgrading their K-Touches to be compatible with their X equipment, creating the K-Touch 21 for Hiroki and the Ultimate Complete Form upgrade for Kayley with the help of Firerose, Narutaki and Akari contributing their powers and assistance to streamline the Rider powers more efficiently.
Later, Akihito brings Lugiel, Copper Plume and Rally Flag to fight Hiryuu’s group while the Time Jackers and Another Riders attack the city, where they are met by Kensuke and the Ninja Riders, who in turn are met by Sougo and his friends. Sougo and Geiz use Zi-O Woz Armor and Geiz Bibill Armor in the ensuing fight alongside Woz Ginga Finally and Tsukuyomi ABC, though they end up having to upgrade to Grand Zi-O and Geiz Revive. Hiroki and his friends also arrive, with Hiroki and Kayley debuting their new extra final forms, Decade Complete Form 21 and Diend Ultimate Complete Form. The other Sougo sees this battle happening and summons Rentarou, Isamichi, Reimondo and Handles to help defeat their Another Rider counterparts.
At the end of the battle, Rentarou and Isamichi see that Another Ninja was actually Iroha and they encourage her to enrol in the Leapfrog Ninja Academy so she can protect herself. Akari Ichigo reveals to her husband that because the Future Riders didn’t originally exist in this timeline, they are contributing to the worsening distortions in time and space, which leads Hiroki to finally decide that this world will be destroyed. With this battle, the Time Jackers have their full Another Rider Army.
Episode 35: Sonika Unleashed ~ Second Coming 2020 ~
So, you know how I initially cancelled my plans for Crestor Calandia as Another OOO after Chris-chan’s arrest in late-July 2021? Nearly a year later, it was revealed that Chris was attempting to get his mother placed in an aged care home in order to be able to return to 14BC. I think you can see what inspired me to write this original filler episode.
Sougo and his friends are walking on the waterfront when they notice an island in the distance that was never there before. Sougo and Geiz go to investigate and they discover that Swartz and Kensuke are investigating as well. Agreeing to a truce for the time being, the four of them discover that they are in this project’s version of Cwcville, namely Hayasaka. As the four are attacked by the Sonikas and Rosekas within Hayasaka, their comrades are being attacked back on Minato-Sugaru Island and are forced to retreat after being overwhelmed. This scene’s battle features the main Sougo using Decade Armor Origin (because Decade’s power was given back to Hiroki though he still had a remnant of it for Grand Zi-O) and the return of Geiz Genm Armor. Yeah, I’m one to highlight lesser-used forms to get more value for money out of them.
Later, Hiroki and his group head to the mysterious island to investigate while Crestor Calandia goes to 9TO5 to get Mark to clean three medallions. From Hiroki requesting Shinbu Serizawa to do some research in the Reading Room and Crestor talking to Mark, we get the backstory of this situation; Megumi Sonozaki snitched on Crestor’s “soul bonding” with his mother Beatrice and was forced out of his home by police, at which point he also “borrowed” some money from his mother’s account. Crestor was arrested for this, but during the trial, his previous crimes and transgressions were taken into account because his universe is one that has no sympathy for eccentrics like Crestor. As a result, Crestor was imprisoned in Stormcage, the most secure prison in his universe.
Even though Crestor remained largely compliant and resigned to his fate, he managed to manifest psychic powers over time and escape with the help of Sonika and his comrades, eventually managing to commandeer a spaceship and escape to Sougo’s universe. The authorities in Crestor’s universe have authorised a shoot-to-kill order on sight because they have been unable to contain his power.
After meeting back up with Sougo, Hiroki overhears Mark’s call with him and upon hearing medallions being mentioned, they and their friends quickly rush to 9TO5, but they are unable to stop him charging up his medallions and prevent the second coming of Crestor. Following this, Sougo and Hiroki’s groups team up with the Time Jackers and Quartzer to fight Crestor and his forces. During the battle, Zi-O briefly notices Another Decade defending Another Diend and Another Gold Drive from being ambushed.
Crestor and his forces are all defeated, but the island where Hayasaka stands flies out of the ocean and to the location of the battle as it shoots at everyone. It is revealed that the Crestor they fought was just an avatar; the real Crestor is inside the mayor’s office, which is the cockpit for his spaceship that was disguised as an island. Barlckxs, Zonjis and Zamonas sabotage the ship with their Ancient Rider powers before the Riders destroy it with their Rider Kicks.
Episode 36: A Girl Named [Akari] ~ Showdown 2019 ~
Adapted from Zero-One episodes 34, 35, 37 and 41.
This episode was named after Akari Ichigo’s real-life inspiration like I didn’t do just that 3 episodes ago. During this final week of episodes, Kazuto begins counting down the pages until the end of the world.
After Sougo and his friends defeat some of Sougo’s old enemies that were summoned by Kensuke, Swartz confronts them as Another Decade, proclaiming that he will subjugate humanity and create a paradise for the oppressed. It is then that Button Mash comes from nowhere and attacks Another Decade; Another Decade shoves him off, but his father, Janbit, stands between them, not wanting to let his son be hurt. Later, Swartz recalls how he protected his family on separate occasions in the last few episodes. Sougo also realises this and decides to help Swartz remember who he really is.
Meanwhile, Kensuke goes to the 2012 of Hiroki’s timeline and creates another parallel isotope; namely that of Akari Ichigo around the time when the Hiroki of that time became Sougo. Using his Future Note, Kensuke manages to send 2012 Akari through an Aurora Curtain into 2019. As Sougo fights Swartz in an attempt to convince the latter that he was a father before he became a Time Jacker, Heure joining in the battle before Swartz ends up defending him, 2012 Akari suddenly appears. The sight of her causes Sougo to regain the rest of his memories (which he had been slowly regaining since episode 30) and he quickly takes 2012 Akari away, only managing to escape the pursuit of the Quartzer Riders thanks to Woz Ginga Taiyo.
As Parker and his army decide to make camp on the island following heated tensions on the mainland, Sougo introduces 2012 Akari to his friends at 9TO5. The reason why Sougo hasn’t fully regained his memories despite meeting Akari previously is because 2012 Akari is from the same time period as Sougo and thus is in sync with him. Kensuke tells Hiryuu’s group that 2012 Akari is Sougo’s lynchpin to becoming Ohma Zi-O.
2021 Akari tells her younger self about what will happen to her in the future despite Hiroki warning what would happen if she did that. Sure enough, 2012 Akari becomes horrified by this and runs off. Hiroki receives a report from his comrades back home, who inform him that paradoxes are forming in his world and having two parallel isotopes of Akari are causing them to expand faster. Meanwhile, Kensuke reveals Quartzer to the world in a press conference and announces their intention to eradicate the Time Jackers. As the two groups meet up with their forces and begin fighting each other, Sougo goes to help Swartz while the others help find 2012 Akari. This might go against Sougo’s character, but even if he decided to go find Akari, chances are she’d continue running.
Zi-O manages to defend Another Decade from Proto Woz’s Time Explosion to show Another Decade that despite his goals, he still cares for his family. The two of them agree to a truce and they work together to defeat Proto Woz, who angrily retreats. Though Swartz admits that he underestimated Sougo, he makes it clear that his stance on humanity still hasn’t changed.
Meanwhile, the others find 2012 Akari, who says that she doesn’t want to see Sougo again if it means he will become a monster (not the vilest and evilest demonic overlord, though). They convince 2012 Akari that 2019 is the best place for her to be right now because of all the paradoxes and she eventually agrees to stay at 9TO5 as their new tenant.
Episode 37: The All Riders All-Out Attack ~ Ohma Time 2068 ~
Adapted from Zi-O episode 49 and Zero-One episode 42.
2012 Akari dreams about being saved from Ohma Zi-O by Sougo, only to be shoved aside as Swartz transforms into Another Decade Complete and rushes at Ohma Zi-O. Akari wakes up after this and heads downstairs to find Sougo, who had woken up a bit too early. The two decide to go on an early morning walk when they are attacked by Hiryuu, Hisahide and Evil Akari, who defeat Sougo and steal the Zi-O II and Grand Zi-O Ridewatches.
As Queen Fifi, Angelina and Karen Brewer meet with Parker, Kensuke combines the power of the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch into the Zi-O II Ridewatch, which is the key to Sougo becoming Ohma Zi-O. He also adds in battle data from Sougo’s friends and the Quartzer Riders, which will allow the power of each and every Rider to be drawn to Ohma Zi-O like a magnet.
Sougo is brought back to 9TO5 as he is returned the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch in a package. Meanwhile, the first of the enemy fleets arrive on the island as Parker readies his army to defend it, with the Legend Riders assisting in the defence as well. Seeing the chaos happening, Swartz hijacks a news crew’s cameras and announces that the Time Jackers’ subjugation of humanity begins now.
Swartz summons half of his Another Rider Army, but 2012 Akari goes to him and tries to convince him to stop the fighting, telling him to look into his heart and believe in humanity. Swartz, however, says to 2012 Akari that he doesn’t need a heart because he never had one, before proceeding to kill her with an energy blast. Swartz was originally an AI program; an avatar created by Hiroki and placed in a supercomputer with the purpose of looking after his former wife and even his creator when the time came for it, only to go rogue and break out with his family to enact his revenge against humanity.
As Zi-O is fighting the Another Rider Army with his friends, he hears an explosion and goes to find the dying 2012 Akari, who tells him that if he loves her, then he should help Swartz find his heart. Suddenly, all the Riders who hadn’t given their powers away or had their powers stolen, save for Sougo’s friends, Decade, Diend, Kuuga and Shugo, suddenly find themselves detransformed as their powers are stolen; the only reason why it doesn’t happen to the latter four is because they voluntarily channeled a portion of their power into Ridewatches.
As the Time Jackers confront Geiz, Woz and Tsukuyomi, the battle is suddenly intruded by Ohma Zi-O; Sougo’s voice menacingly ordering Kazuto to rejoice is what reveals him to have become the ultimate king of time; the true Ohma’s Day has arrived. Another Decade tries to take Ohma Zi-O’s power for himself but the power overloads him as Ohma Zi-O easily shrugs him off. Ohma Zi-O launches an attack that detransforms everyone before being detransformed himself due to being overwhelmed by his new power. It is revealed that Evil Akari absorbed 2012 Akari’s body into the Zi-O II Ridewatch and gave it back to Sougo, who uses it in his Ziku Driver to turn it into the Ohma Zi-O Driver and thus transform into Ohma Zi-O. The end of the episode has Sougo breaking down into tears as Evil Akari tells him that she will be by his side, addressing him as her God Almighty…
Episode 38: Overlords and Gods ~ Judgement Dawn 2003 ~
Adapted from Zero-One episode 43.
Ohma Zi-O goes to the mainland and passes judgement on Sougo’s past-life enemies by using his powers to brutally kill them. Heure asks Swartz why he killed 2012 Akari, to which a guilt-ridden Swartz says that all he did was execute justice. Quartzer reveals to Sougo’s friends that Sougo has not only become the vilest and evilest demonic overlord, but he has also become the purest and dearest god and judge of humanity (最浄最愛の神様), much to Kazuto’s disdain of his overlord being addressed in such a manner. Akihito also reveals to Sougo’s friends that he was working for Quartzer all along.
Back at 9TO5, Geiz and Luna are hesitant to tell Mark the truth but Kazuto does it for them, saying that they can’t lie to him when the fate of two timelines is at stake. As such, the three promise that they will bring Sougo back to normal. Hiroki and his friends come in and they are filled in on what is happening.
Sougo later heads back to Minato-Sugaru Island where he is confronted by Hiryuu, who mocks Sougo for saying that he wouldn’t become the vilest and evilest demonic overlord before becoming one anyway. The two of them fight, but Ohma Zi-O manages to defeat him. Sougo’s friends try to stop him, but he brushes them off. The other Sougo calls him out for losing his way; the two Ohma Zi-Os fight and the other Ohma Zi-O is beaten; he notes that he could feel an even deeper sorrow in the main Zi-O’s attacks and offers his help, only to be met by silence.
Sougo then uses his powers to see into different timelines of himself and manipulate Hiroki’s timeline. This would be seen by Hiroki, who transforms into Decade Complete Form 21 to fight him, knowing the truth about who continually manipulated his timeline. Sougo responds in kind by transforming into Ohma Zi-O and projecting the memories around him into Decade’s brain. However, Decade retaliates by projecting memories of himself and his friends in his own timeline like how the Thirteenth Doctor escaped the Matrix (with the instrumental chorus to Journey Through the Decade playing in the background). The two of them defeat each other and Hiroki manages to escape.
Swartz assembles the other half of his Another Rider Army as Sougo confronts him in battle…
Episode 39: Find Your Heart ~ Twilight Dusk 2018 ~
Adapted from the Geiz Majesty special and Zero-One episodes 43 and 44.
Ohma Zi-O fights Another Decade. After making quick work of the Another Rider Army, Ohma Zi-O prepares to finish off Another Decade only for Heure as Another Diend to leap in and take the attack, which kills him. As Zi-O leaves, Hisahide arrives and uses a blank Ridewatch to absorb Heure’s body and create the Decade Complete Anotherwatch.
Swartz announces that Sougo has become Ohma Zi-O and because he killed Heure, there will be no place for him in his paradise of the oppressed, making his crusade against humanity personal. As Sougo runs away out of fear and guilt at Parker and his friends constantly asking him questions upon seeing him, Swartz goes to the mainland and does the same thing Sougo did when he became Zi-O, which is to initiate his powers by killing Sougo’s past-life enemies. Later, Ora meets with Swartz and tries to tell him that he has a heart, but his mind is too clouded by the desire for revenge to even realise it.
The Kamen Riders have split into two camps; with the exception of those affiliated with Sougo, Hiroki, Kayley, the Kougami Foundation, Torchwood North or Quartzer, the Riders are marching around the island to demand answers from Sougo regarding his actions and the loss of their powers. Among one of the protesting groups, Marcello pushes through the barricade and charges towards Yūki Tachibana, leading him to be held down as a result. Yūki orders Birth to fire at Marcello’s head; as Birth hesitates, Luna and Kazuto arrive and tell them not to shoot. At the town centre, Parker and his comrades also plead with another group of protesters to believe that Sougo will find the true way of becoming a hero.
Elsewhere, Geiz finds Sougo with the intent to carry out his promise of killing him when he became the vilest and evilest demonic overlord; Kayley arrives as well to ask Sougo if he is betraying his own dreams and the hearts of the Kamen Riders who entrusted their powers to him. Kayley throws a spare K-Touch to Geiz, which becomes the Geiz Majesty Ridewatch that Geiz uses to fight Ohma Zi-O, only to end up failing.
Later that night, Sougo recalls Geiz and Kayley’s words as he is lost in his own thoughts. It is then that he hears the vaguely familiar sound of a materialising TARDIS, with the Doctor coming out to talk to Sougo…
The next day, the Riders have agreed to stop protesting as Geiz and Hiroki’s groups meet with Yūki Tachibana. Ora is revealed to be present as well, giving them the Diend Anotherwatch in the hope that they can restore Heure’s consciousness because like Swartz, he was an avatar as well.
Meanwhile, Sougo and Swartz finally meet as they transform into Ohma Zi-O and Another Decade Complete to duke it out once and for all…
Episode 40: Parting in the Daybreak Hour ~ Apocalypse Over Quartzer 2019 ~
Adapted from Zero-One episode 45, Zi-O episode 49, the Over Quartzer movie, the final stage show, Reiwa The First Generation and the Geiz Majesty special along with Ryuki episode 50.
Fun fact: The Japanese translation of this title would be 彼は誰時に別れ (Kawataredoki ni wakare). Just as Ōmagatoki 逢魔時 refers to the witching hour, or the sunset, Kawataredoki 彼は誰時 refers to the daybreak hour, a time when you can’t tell someone’s presence in the dark, or the sunrise (I’ve seen it refer to the sunset as well, but Wikipedia seems to make reference to the the sunrise so it was a good complement).
Ohma Zi-O and Another Decade Complete fight to determine the true king of time, this battle being a reflection of their adapted roles as Aruto Hiden as Ark-One and Horobi as Ark Scorpion. During this battle, there are Legend Rider weapons scattered around which are picked up and used by both opponents.
Meanwhile, Geiz and the others manage to resurrect Heure, who tells Kensuke, Akihito and the Quartzer trio that they don’t understand the real reason behind this battle as they have lost their righteous hearts. Another Decade Complete manages to defeat Ohma Zi-O as the latter puts his life at stake to show the former that he has a heart like anyone else. This was inspired by the Doctor’s words to Sougo, that true strength isn’t about how much power one has, but about what is in one’s heart. Swartz finally realises the impact of all the people he killed and admits that it was his fault that Heure sacrified himself, that he was scared of all the human feelings getting in the way, because despite what he may say, he does have a heart. Ohma Zi-O’s power leaves the Ohma Zi-O Driver and creates the Zi-O Over Quartzer Ridewatch, allowing Sougo to transform into Zi-O Quartzer, appearing identical to his default form. Zi-O manages to defeat Another Decade Complete with the Quartzer Time Break, but refraining from killing him as there isn’t a need for it anymore.
Heure and Ora meet with Swartz as Andrew, Hiroki and their friends meet with Sougo; they were able to restore Heure’s body after the Decade Complete Anotherwatch was destroyed, plus the Riders have regained their powers as well. The Zi-O Riders, Decade Riders and Time Jackers are confronted by Quartzer, who have brought an army of Kachinebots from the future. The enemy armies from the mainland begin invading the island, but they are held off by Parker and his allies. As the group transforms, Sougo transforms into Zi-O Quartzer while Geiz transforms into Il Salvatore Geiz thanks to some of the former’s power going to his Ridewatch (again appearing identical to his default form).
Most of the Quartzer Riders are defeated, but Proto Woz, Woz The Next and the Quartzer trio manage to defeat the Decade Riders and Time Jackers, before defeating Zi-O and Geiz as well. The Quartzer trio summon seven Dai Mazines from the future (instead of bring them back up from episode 8) to launch into space and link up in the sky, opening a portal into the Time Vortex that begins to suck up everything and everyone born in the Heisei era. Sougo is thrown into the Time Vortex as well and after a quick speech from Ohma Zi-O, transforms the Zi-O Quartzer Ridewatch into the Ohma Zi-O Ridewatch, which he uses to transform into Zi-O Ohma Form, officially inheriting the demonic overlord’s power.
The Kamen Riders, Time Jackers and Parker’s army work together to destroy the enemy armies and Kachinebots. Kensuke still remains undefeated, however; the Quartzer trio combine their personal Ridewatches together with the Ancient Rider Ridewatches and the Zi-O and Zi-O II Ridewatches to merge into Another Ohma Zi-O, while Kensuke and Akihito combine with the Woz Ridewatch and Ohma Zi-O’s power to merge into Another Ichigou.
As the other Riders are defeated, leaving only the primary Riders (in their final forms) and Geiz, the other Sougo arrives as Ohma Zi-O and assists the main Zi-O in fighting Another Ohma Zi-O. Hiryuu, through Another Ohma Zi-O, tells the main Zi-O that it is his fault the Heisei era is such as mess and asks him how much more he wants to mock him before he is satisfied, to which Zi-O tells him that he will lose because anyone who doesn’t look forward is only doomed to be left behind in the past.
Another Ohma Zi-O is defeated by Zi-O Ohma Form and Ohma Zi-O; as a weakened Another Ichigou sees this, he absorbs Another Ohma Zi-O into him to evolve into Another New Ichigou, acting as the giant Barlckxs from the Over Quartzer movie. Zi-O, Geiz and the primary Riders finish them off with the Heisei Rider Kick, kicking through a shield that Another New Ichigou conjures to form the kanji characters for Heisei (平成) before each Riders’ series logos fly out from the explosion. Another New Ichigou is destroyed along with the Quartzer commanders.
The other Sougo farewells the main Sougo as he leaves on his own journey to the future. The main Sougo meets with his friends, including Hiroki, Parker, Swartz and Mark. Although they have saved the world and can rule over it together into glorious perpetuity, Sougo refuses as he decides to destroy this timeline and restore everything back to normal. Although he may never have a chance to be king again, he also wants to create a future where he can fight together with Geiz, Luna and Kazuto. Sougo farewells his future self and his friends as the timeline is destroyed. The Time Jackers are returned to the supercomputer with a new mission to watch over humanity and walk the path of kindness instead of revenge. The Kamen Riders (and any allies who originally came into the Ohma War) float away from this timeline as it disappears.
Time goes back to normal in July 2012 of the main timeline, but with some minute changes. The original Kazuto ends up back in the cell he was in when Ohma Zi-O rescued him, but it has now become a storage room after the war ended and Kazuto is a free man. The Hiroki of that time (who never became Sougo) makes an impromptu stop at 9TO5 where he gives something to Mark to repair, but just as he goes in, he encounters Geiz, who was just leaving, and the two look at each other with vague feelings of familiarity, like Shinji Kido and Ren Akiyama did at the end of Kamen Rider Ryuki.
The parallel isotope Kazuto witnesses Hiroki and Akari sharing their first kiss before farewelling the audience. He meets with Ohma Zi-O in a white void as his timeline is disappearing; the demonic overlord thanks Kazuto for his service and releases him to live his own life, but Kazuto says that his original self is doing just that and that he wants to follow his overlord to the end. Hearing this, Ohma Zi-O gives Kazuto his final order, which is to find the new timeline that Sougo created and look over the Sougo in it, for there may come a time when the demonic overlord must rise again. Kazuto thanks Ohma Zi-O and takes his leave as the demonic overlord disappears, finally free of his pains and burdens.
Although the series’ endgame was adapted from Zero-One, I thought it was paced better than the original Zi-O’s endgame. I strived to improve on the failings of the original series and in my opinion, did a good job despite 80% of the series being a carbon copy of the original and the rest being a walking ego-fest. If you think I could have done a better job adapting the series, feel free to share your thoughts and opinions.
While the main series of Zi-O is done, there is still more to cover, namely the Before Quartzer mini-series, the After Quartzer specials, the background to the series and some clarification on character details. See you for the last few instalments of this run of Kisekae Insights.

I personally like the future riders (except for Ginga, which pretty much a lot of fans don't seem to like that much) myself. But in a way, I can somewhat see why you don't. The "future riders" in Zi-O don't really amount to anything in the show, they feel like meaningless filler in a way and only exist to give Geiz and Woz power up forms. Yeah, coming up with original riders (that all use ziku driver rip-offs) as a plot devices for our main cast riders is a little weird way to set up power ups.
Yeah, took the words out of my mouth actually.
They made such a big deal of these future Riders- even casting former toku alums for them to build up hype- but none of them really mattered in the big picture of Zi-O. Even the forms based on them ended up getting discarded quite quickly.
I also wish that they at least got equal treatment. Shinobi was the only one given any special attention, with his own Rider Time special and now the crossover with Geats. Why didn't Quiz get that? Or Kikai?
And don't say it's because 2022 is the year that's closest to Zi-O, because it's an alternate timeline anyway. If they can make up ridiculous bs like the world deciding to use ninjutsu as a clean energy alternative for that timeline, they can make up equally ridiculous bs for the other future Riders.

Chest Kiss - Sougo - Tsukuyomi - Geiz (kiss either Sougo's chest or Geiz's chest) lol
Hm, this one has the potential to be so fun. However I can only imagine Geiz being the one kissed here, since for reasons of narrative appropriateness I feel like Sougo shouldn't have a chest worth kissing, just kind of a dish rack with skin. Anyway, this story got really goofy. narrative convenience
"What were you two doing out--Geiz, your shirt."
Geiz blinks dizzily, blood dripping from his nose. "Did I win? What about my shirt?"
Tsukuyomi gapes at him for a moment before collecting herself. "Win what?"
"We were, we were trying to figure out which one was stronger." Sougo sounds just as dizzy, the golden armor dissolving around him as he staggers over to a bench and sits down. "You know, between Grand Zi-O and Geiz Majesty. And then there was a guy."
"Another Kaixa." Geiz sits down next to Sougo, apparently unbothered by the fact that his nose is continuing to bleed onto his shirt. "And he did some kind of, he did a thing, a mind thing, we started fighting each other for real. So Sougo punched me in the face."
"Sougo."
"To be fair, Geiz punched me in the stomach." Sougo's regaining himself a little more quickly than Geiz, probably because he hasn't taken any blows to the head. "But we, we got it together, we took him out. The guy."
"Another Kaixa."
"Yeah, that one."
Tsukuyomi scowls. "Well, we'll...we'll ask Woz about him later. Sougo, don't just sit there, help me get Geiz's shirt off, it's covered in blood. How hard did you punch him?"
"Pretty hard." Sougo grabs Geiz's left wrist and unfolds the cuff so he can undo the button on the sleeve.
Geiz's eyes are slowly starting to focus again, and his nose has finally stopped bleeding. His forehead wrinkles. "Why are we taking my clothes off? This doesn't really seem like the time to--oh, shit, is that all mine?"
"Whose else would it be?" Tsukuyomi frowns down at his shirt buttons as she undoes them. "You were in your suit, full helmet and everything. Although I guess this answers a question I've had, I've always kind of wondered about what happens to our clothes when we transform." She unrolls and unbuttons Geiz's right sleeve and pulls it off his arm. "I guess it would be a little strange if we were just naked in there."
Sougo tugs Geiz's other sleeve off. "I always figured it was contextual."
Tsukuyomi and Geiz both turn to look at him, saying in unison, "What?"
"Well, you know. Woz says our lives are ruled by narrative convenience even more than most Kamen Riders. So wouldn't it make sense if we're wearing our day clothes inside our suits when that would be more interesting dramatically? And then other times we've got, like, arming gear on underneath them? Geiz got hit in the face, so it's more dramatic and exciting for his shirt to be all bloody when he drops his suit." Sougo pauses, looking Geiz over. "I think you should take your undershirt off too, it's also got blood on it."
A little more staring from Tsukuyomi before she says, slowly, "That's...that's a really good point, Sougo, I hadn't considered that. Also what do you mean, there's no blood on the under--"
"No, I definitely see blood, Geiz should take his undershirt off."
Geiz eyes Sougo sidelong. "You just want me to be shirtless, don't you."
Sougo's expression is suspiciously guileless and innocent. "I mean, it's not a bad side effect."
"You're ridiculous." Geiz peels off his tank top and drops it on top of his bloody shirt, and then says, "Ow, ow, be careful," as Sougo half-tackles him onto his back on the bench.
"Come on." Sougo grins down at him. "Admit I'm the strongest Kamen Rider."
"I thought that was a different guy."
Tsukuyomi snorts, covering her mouth to hide laughter. "You two know we're in public, right?"
"Come on, we're just behind the store, nobody's wandering around back here. We'll be--oh, wow, did I leave that bruise?"
Geiz looks down awkwardly at his own chest and the dark bruise spreading across one of his pectorals. "No, I think that one was Another Kaixa. At least I'm pretty sure."
"Well, on the off chance that it was me--" Sougo ducks his head and kisses the bruise, which makes Geiz both wince and laugh ticklishly. "I'm very sorry."
Rolling her eyes, Tsukuyomi bends down and kisses the same spot, and then straightens up and says, "Both of you, get up. Geiz's face is still covered in blood, and you shouldn't just be making out in public like this anyway." She gathers up Geiz's shirt and tank top. "Anyway, I'm the strongest Kamen Rider. My hand turns into a sword, and my suit is nicer-looking than either of yours."

🍫 any from your sources/version of you you wanna talk about hehe
Shooting for Zi-O since i have a lot of thoughts on it
I think that me(Woz), Tsukuyomi, and Geiz had to have had some noticeably odd eating habits due to their growing up/living through an apocalypse scenario war zone of a world. From their first breath to the day they came to the past, they lived like that. I wasn't exempt from that either, i may have been made not born and my humanity a facade at most, but i still lived like that too, and i spent more than one would think out on the battle field starving and fighting and surviving just like the others even if my motives were different. Certainly the amount and speed we ate was much more and much faster than waga maou and his uncle would, and his uncle chocked it up to simply being growing children, but it did stem from having to eat what we could quickly and be ready to move or go back to work or watch in some capacity.
Geiz-kun and Tsukuyomi-kun weren't food aggressive or protective, both the types to give parts of their oh so needed rations to anyone else they saw instead, i was much more self centered in that way. I ate less than the others, but i would shoot the most intense of glares at anyone trying to take from my plate. Even waga Maou once or twice early on would teasingly try to snatch something i had of his favorites and i had to stop myself from on instinct making to pull away or smack at his hand. He could tell even if stifled some kind of something happened on my end and he was kind enough to never bring it up or mention it, often even pushing leftovers my way.
In the new timeline in post-canon, geiz-kun and tsukuyomi-kun got to live normal happy lives with no comparable suffering. Even as they remembered glimpses and feelings and relationships they had before, their bodies weren't conditioned to starving like mine still was. So seeing their eating habits change was something i was fascinated but relieved by, and I wasn't the self conscious type per say enough to care, but it must have been notable then to now have 4 sets of eyes on me not 1 knowing my habits must have come from a situation and life that was far from safe and reassuring.
Also, I was never a picky eater but once i found out about apple pie i did tend to make any excuse to consume it or similar tasting things. Apples became one of the most common snacks and apple tarts and pies the most common dessert our household ever had. I would never deny really any food put in front of me, but if asked id always ask for the same thing since it was the first thing id realized i liked on my own without outside input, that i even had food preferences astounded me and was thrilling.

Hey! I'm watching Kamen Rider Zi-O again!
I still think Sougo is kinda dumb
And episode 17 brings interesting tidings, and by "new tidings" I mean a New Woz, White Woz, who represents another faction in this conflict and now Geiz has his own hypeman, good for him.
Love that Geiz spent 15 episodes like "I'm gonna kill Oma Zi-O" and then in episode 16 he went "yeah, Sougo's not gonna destroy the world I'm gonna stop pretending he's not my friends" and now he knows he's gonna kill Sougo, he's like "but I don't wanna"
Oh! Gotta mention, Toei is so good at making Kamen Riders now that they can wipe a new throwaway one like it's nothing. He's got a name, a gimmick, a costume, a transformation, cool powers; I'd watch Kamen Rider Shinobi

I wasn't even implying that future Geiz chose not to teach time travel to hat Woz, just that he never actually got that ability himself, because unlike Ohma Zi-O he absolutely would've come back to wreck Sougo's shit himself. You're right though, Saviour Geiz knowing how to do it and simply choosing not to teach his Woz is funnier. (And understandable, given Geiz's history with Wozes.)
oh yeah future geiz probably wouldn’t have learned to time travel on his own. we don’t really know his deal but he was just the guy who killed oma zi-o. no reason he would then take up his mantle as king of time and space

Thoughts on Zero One and Kiramager so far + extra (Spoilers)
Man it has been a while since I’ve done this. I was a bit uncertain to really come back and speak my mind on these since I feel what I say doesn’t really matter, I tend to fear what I say could be an unpopular opinion and get flack for it. I’m still hesitant on writing but I felt like wanting to write again after so long. I don’t know if I’ll bring this back but we’ll see. A lot has happened with Toku that’s surprising, I’m surprised how much Toku has been slowly getting itself up to be official over here thanks to various services like discotek and Shout Factory, in an age where you can officially watch the original Kamen Rider series and Kuuga online, If you told me that 5 years ago, I wouldn’t know what to believe.
Recap:
Been three years since I’ve done this iirc, but here’s My thoughts on the seasons I never wrote my full thoughts on.
Kyuranger: This was an up and down series for me. When I first started, I was hating it, due to awful pacing and was doing an awful job of establishing characters, especially Lucky who was hitting the marks of why I disliked Right and Takaharu, thankfully the series picked itself up around the second quarter with Scorpio’s arc and introducing Tsurugi. Would later go down and up with each arc but In my opinion, ended on a decent note. It does suck it never had a crossover with Zyuohger but I did enjoy the Space Squad crossover, which utilized the strengths of the characters really well and was ultimately satisfying.
Ex-Aid: Ex-Aid was a series I was a bit skeptical by but was one over by the end. I enjoyed Emu and his adventures and I give props for the show having two female Riders (Nico counts, fight me!). If there’s an issue, it’d be that I wish they’d just end with the crossover movie cause I feel the V-cinema’s felt like tacked on alternate endings, I do give them credit for trying to connect it to other films.
Lupinranger vs Patranger: A series I’ve seen that’s either enjoyed or disliked. I’m in the former and do like that they experimented with the concept of two different teams. I dig the idea that the Lupins are influenced by more modern Sentai that get the gimmick of the episode while the Pat’s are more akin to classic seasons where they just focus on the Monster, also doesn’t help that Japan has very low views on their justice system so the Lupins are more favorable. Plus I loved the way it ended on an open note, much like how Sanjo tends to do in his writing.
Amazons: Another divisive series and I’m leaning towards those that dislike it.On its own, it’s alright but as a series that uses elements from a classic series, it mostly is superficial in how it uses it cause the original series was remembered for how violent it could be, but there was more to it than just mindless violence. Also doesn’t help the producer’s comment on how “Recent Rider’s aren’t interesting, this series will give it it’s fangs back” saying the shows before it were not good when they were enjoyed by a lot fans. I do give the series credit for trying to write a gray moral type of setting but its flimsily written that it can come off as irritating,, especially around Season 2. Though I’ll give the movie credit for ending the series on a decent note.
Dino Force Brave: A miniseries that caught a lot of fans by surprise, since Korea commissioned a miniseries/continuation for Kyoryuger given how popular it was. It seemed promising, then I saw who was producing and writing it, instead of Sanjo returning. we got Ninninger’s writer. it retcons things like Torin’s not dead and Devius isn’t mentioned (the latter I don’t mind). The series is short which is both its strenght and weakness because for a miniseries, it isn’t given much time to flesh out the new characters, since they only have 12 minutes for each story, shows like the Ultra Fight series work since its serialized and can work as a movie, this not so much but unlike Amazons, I consider this harmless, its nothing too bad and there’s some merit to it (even if they tried saying it was canon in the last Taisen film)
Build: Now this was a series I was actually surprised by, this series is probably my third favorite post Decade Rider series. The series blends the right amount of silly and mature moments. It has a lot of memorable characters and one of my new favorite villlains in the franchise, Evolt was a great villain that really brought the stakes and made you think how this series was gonna deal with him. I remember the ending being divisive but I was ok with it since it does give an explanation for how Build could interact with the other Riders in future crossovers with how the previous seasons (minus Amazons) could connect. plus the V-cinema’s were well handled from an ok one like Cross-Z to a surprisingly Amazing one that is Grease’s V-cinema, now this is how you do a continuation.
Strongest Battle: Now this was a miniseries that caught me by surprise as well since they brought back returning actors to lead up to the next season. Seeing Arakawa still got it and made me hope to see him return writing someday (hint hint). The cast they got surprised me, some I was glad to see return and some I wasn’t too happy with like Takaharu and to an extent Kagura (but too be fair, she wasn’t as bad as Right), but I was intrigued to see what Arakawa would do with them and I was ok with how they were written here though still dislike Takaharu as a character.
Ryusoulger: Ryusoulger is a series that I’ve seen that is pretty loved from what I’ve seen but sadly I’m on the opposite side, I don’t think it was that terrible but more or less disappointing and somehow boring. Strongest Battle setup a lot of things for Ryusoul to follow up on that it felt like a downgrade, like Gaisorg being underutilized that you can tell they didn’t know what to do with him. The writing was all over the place that it was hard to be invested with the characters, who did their best with what they were given but their wasn’t much stakes. If there’s one thing I enjoyed, I really loved the ending arc for giving us not only a Female big bad but also blowing my expectations and breaking status quo, with Red not being the one to finish off the main villain. The ending arc was great yet at the same time was upsetting that the rest of the series wasn’t up to par with it. But now its gonna be the next adaptation after Beast Morphers. With Hasbro in charge, I’m intrigued to see what they do with it.
Zi-o: From the same minds behind Dino Force Brave and Amazons comes what is meant to be a big celebrate/closure of the Heisei era, but threw logic out the window for what is ultimately a fun kind of mess. I don’t mind continuity but I was iffy on how Zi-o retconned the previous seasons as not connected since that’s what they were trying to do until this series went (rip paper) whoops it broke. The series does have some merit with the idea of the Another Rider’s and showing the development of our protagonist and his attempt to defy fate. I also enjoyed when the series stopped time travelling but instead met the characters in the present day cause then the arcs were written better like in Blade and Agito’s tribute episodes. I haven’t watched Geiz’s V-cinema yet but also heard from the producer’s twitter that Woz’s V-cinema isn’t happening, which sucks cause there’s potential in it.
Now that those are done, here we go.
Kamen Rider Zero One:
Now with the start of the Reiwa era, I was hyped since we had Ex-Aid’s writer returning and we got not only a cool awesome secondary but a surprising Female Rider early on and is our third Rider. The first arc starts off strong with Aruto wanting to save the Humagears from Metsubojinrai. Things were looking good until things went downhill thanks to a certain Gold turd known as Thouser, before I get to my issues, I love his suit and how his finishers have a trademark, but that loses its charm when you see him everytime as he’s a very arrogant and obnoxious about his views on how “Humagears aren’t necessary” almost every time. There’s character’s that are meant to be hated, but then there’s characters that you just want to see go away. Once the arc ends the series thankfully pics up with Fuwa getting Rampage, Yua quitting and the return of Izakuchi and Naki. I’m interested to see where things go from here.
Mashin Sentai Kiramager:
Now this was a series I was cautiously optimistic by, since Arakawa returns to write a new series and after my disappointment with Ryusoul, I was nervous but thankfully this series is off to a good start, was surprised we started with episode 0, which does a good job setting up the main 4 before the red shows up. I was a bit skeptical on Juru since he screamed a lot of traits that they could’ve easily screwed up. Thankfully they’ve been doing a good job with Juru, he’s cheerful and imaginative but not a total idiot (what Right should’ve been) and the series has been doing a good job giving everyone their own center episode while not being afraid to take a few risks. I also enjoy the villains like Garza and his rivalry towards Juru due to having a similar ability to his brother that he despised, especially the fight in episode 4 being a highlight. I like that Juru wasn’t sure if he was qualified into being the leader but saw that his passion could help the team in his own unique way. Another thing I love is the Monsters with them going for a Showa aesthetic on mask based Kaijin but with an added twist of a Kaiju counterpart for them to fight, it’s a nice change of pace from just having them grow. The series has done a great job at bringing back an old style and breathing fresh life to it. Was scared hearing what happened to Juru’s actor but thankfully heard he’s doing ok and I’m excited to see what the series brings next.

Kamen Rider Zi-O finally finished its run last weekend, but if you thought that meant Bandai was done with the merch train for the series then you thought like an idiot! A ‘Memorial’ set of RideWatches is getting released, giving us premium-sound versions for the Watches of main Rider trio Zi-O, Geiz, and Woz, plus new watch for Tsukuyomi’s eleventh-hour (and barely used even then) Rider form. I love the all-white design on that one, regardless. Maybe she’ll get more to do in the post-series movie. We’re also finally getting a DX roleplay toy of the Oma Zi-O Driver after it properly got used at the end of the show as well, and that aforementioned movie looks like it’ll be bringing a final upgrade for Geiz called Majesty that gives him his own repaint of the Grand Zi-O RideWatch. His appropriately is decked out with all the ‘Secondary’ Riders from the preceding Heisei series, and they even sidestepped the usual ‘no Secondary in Kuuga’ issue by just sticking Geiz’s regular face in that spot. Well played, guys.

I just realized....
If Sougo basically made it so that none of the stuff he did as ZI-O never happen then.......Kamen Rider Blade And Chalice are still Jokers?! Kouta is still Fruit Jesus? Kagami never becomes Kabuto? Sento and Banjo are still in a world were they aren’t supposed to exist? Kyosuke never becomes Hibiki?
The ending left me with so many questions! If Sougo made it so that Geiz and the others are his friends in the new world he made then how come Woz wasn’t changed? Did he not want Woz to be his friend? Did the other riders get their powers back? What is Decade even going to do anymore? Man I feel like they should’ve ended the series with something like Sougo changed the world so that every rider got their own happy ending
With Sento being a renound scientist that goofs around with Banjo and the others. Emu a amazing Doctor. Takeru being....what was his goal I never really watched Ghost. Gou reuniting with Chase.Kouta,Mai,Mitchy and Kaito all dancing together. Haruto shopping with Koyomi
Alright I’m gonna stop before I start crying thinking about how they could’ve done this, though I’m sure they couldn’t do something like this because of all the actors availability

(So, I’m going to do it)
(I now have enough NPC Riders in my tabletop Zi-o Campaign to make a full multimuse blog, and I’m certain I’ll add more.
It may take some time to set up with everything else I’ve got going on right now, but it will happen.
Here’s what you’ll get in this new Rider Multimuse to start
Rider Name: Warlock
Civilian Name: Mami Hashimoto
Rider Powers: Similar to Kamen Rider Wizard, she uses magic rings to fight her foes. Her primary forms are Lightning, Toxic, Radiant and Infernal. She also has improved eyesight and flight capability from her other form. Mami is the Great Barred Owl Orphnoch.
Home Rider Timeline: Originally from Faiz timeline, Powers gained in altered Wizard Timeline
Civilian Appearance: Female, blonde hair, Japanese( human) Ivory-colored Owl monster (Orphnoch Form)
Rider Name: Thirteen
Civilian Name: Leo Riske
Rider Powers: Probability Manipulation. Thirteen can channel his own cosmically bad luck to buff his teammates or debuff his enemies. Essentially, he’s the Anti- ShishiRed. He also possesses a keen intuition that borders on danger sense, when members of his team are not acting like themselves.
Home Rider Timeline: Time Protection Bureau (AU ZI-O)
Civilian Appearance: Male  Brown hair, athletic, often seen with a new bandage or bruise on his body from some unlikely events.
Rider Name: Morph
Civilian Name: Chojou Jiko
Rider Powers: Using a modified BeyonDriver, Kamen Rider Morph mimics the powers of the monsters fought by Kamen Riders, two at a time. Which is appropriate for her, as she is a Worm, a shapeshifting alien. When she molts off her outer shell, she’ll be able to move a supersonic speeds.
Home Rider Timeline: Her race was originally seen in Kabuto, but she was first encountered in the altered Hibiki timeline.
Civilian Appearance: An amalgamation of her teammates’ appearances. She copied Warlock’s facial structure, Thirteen’s freckles, Zi-o’s eyes, Woz’s hair, Tsukuyomi’s torso, and from Geiz, she copied his baby smooth butt.
Rider Name: Cardiff
Civilian Name: Tetsu Higumi
Rider Powers: Focusing around the summoning and borrowing powers from his advent beast, Brucetas, a fifty meter-long whale.
Home Rider Timeline: Originally he was a cop in the Agito timeline, but in the modified Ryuki timeline, he became a Rider.
Civilian Appearance: Black hair, thin body, has a tattoo on his left hand that looks like the Femme advent deck’s swan.
Just letting you know.)

Zi-O 47: (ง •̀_•́)ง
THIS WILL BE FINE.
This episode contains spoilers for the end of Drive, and the liveblog contains me hard-core shipping Gou/Chase and Tsukasa/Daiki. Fair warning.
––––
It’s raining, in the power-plant area where we left off last time. Swartz ‘repeats’ his statement from then, that Sougo has three options.
He can save Tsukuyomi.
He can save himself.
Or… he can become Oma Zi-O.
Swartz is allowing Sougo to have the choice, for once… but not the time to make it.
Red light rises up in the distance, going up and up, a dark wall rising with it. People in the city are tossed to the sky as it pushes them out of the way. A group of monsters and robots appear.
Smash, Guardians, and the Skywall.
Sougo recognizes the Skywall – it may have been in another world, yes, but he… er, accidentally got shoved through the time tunnels wall into the World of Build. So he’s seen it before.
Build’s history was erased. World fusion aside, these shouldn’t be here at all.
The rain has stopped. Swartz can be heard speaking, telling Sougo to “fulfill his mission, as one who was born to be king.”
He laughs evilly, but is nowhere to be seen.
(continued under the cut!)
––––
Sougo’s confused, angry, and resigned expression fades to the book, and Woz’s Recap begins.
They’re fast approaching the future where Sougo becomes the Overlord.
The book does a super helpful job of showing us the deaths of Miharu, Heure, and Ora. Because of course it does.
According to Woz, and his ‘Oma Advent Calendar’… there are three pages left until the end of the world.
Because of the difference in sentence structure, ‘three pages’ is the last part of the sentence. When he says that, Woz looks directly at the viewer.
––––
Geiz holds his phone, which is ringing and not connecting. He’s trying to call Sougo, who none of them have been able to reach. Woz is sure he’s fine, he’s his overlord, after all – but he doesn’t sound so sure.
Junichiro comes out from the kitchen, having made a huge meal for the three. Turns out that Geiz, Tsukuyomi, and Woz have been looking for Sougo all night.
Tsukuyomi mentions that he must be the most worried for Sougo out of all of them.
But he says that’s not it, he’s not worried at all, Sougo’s fine! He’s probably just stuck on the other side of that wall that appeared, and can’t get home.
Geiz offhandedly asks where Junichiro got all these blocks of tofu – the entire meal is made up of the stuff.
The reply? “Well, in the olden days, they say there was so much tofu you could build a wall out of it. So, we can break these walls down by eating them!”
I feel like there’s a cultural saying in here that I’m missing, but it’s a really sweet sentiment on his part, so I don’t even care.
That’s when Sougo walks in, making a beeline for the watch holder. He knew something had happened.
The Build watch is grey, the image cracked.
He knew something had to have happened with regards to Build – he saw that strange wall when he met him in 2017.
Woz tells them that it’s called the Skywall, that it was from Build’s history, accompanied by footage from episode one – of Build and Ryuuga riding that absurd bike along the top of the wall. But with the ‘work’ his overlord has done, that history shouldn’t exist.
Sougo turns, taking Tsukuyomi by the wrist, and starts pulling her out into the lobby. Everyone’s telling him to stop, Woz asking if Swartz had contacted him, and Tsukuyomi saying that Sougo has been the one Swartz is after the whole time.
Sougo knows that, now. He should have realized sooner, should have realized that Swartz has been watching him his entire life. Which is exactly why, as Geiz points out, he shouldn’t be going anywhere!
Sougo ignores that, asking Tsukuyomi to come with him – asking ‘Alpina’ to come with him.
Much to her surprise – she only just learned that was her pre-amnesia name a few days ago, so how could he know it?
Because Miharu is dead. Because Miharu’s dying wish was for him to take her to the future. But he might not be able to grant it. He takes her arm again, and they leave the shop.
Back in the kitchen, Junichiro looks at the watch tower, frowning. The camera turns to the holder, and focuses on the Build watch.
––––
In a damaged street, Smash and Guardians are rampaging. Geiz shows up to herd people out of there, and engages the Smash. One of the Guardians gets tossed to the ground in front of him.
Geiz: “Woz, why are you even here?!”
Woz: “Well, why are you here?”
Geiz: “…Eh, killing some time before Zi-O turns back up.”
Woz: “Mind if I keep you company?”
They stand back to back, upgrading into Revive Fury and Ginga Finaly respectively, and get to work.
––––
Sougo and Tsukuyomi approach a certain stoic photographer.
She’d like Tsukasa to take them to ‘that place’ again, to where she used to live. She can’t get there on her own.
The Time Mazins don’t allow for travel to different time axis, after all.
Sougo brings up that they may be different timelines, but they’re not entirely separate, either. They’re very closely tied together, arne’t they?
Tsukasa agrees.
That’s when Sougo makes the internal reveal, that Swartz told him that he’ll have to choose between his own time, or Tsukuyomi’s.
Going by her shocked expression, he hadn’t told her this before.
Tsukasa pulls his ‘voice of experience’ card, saying that they might learn things they didn’t really want to learn.
Tsukuyomi says they have no choice.
Sougo needs to know. He’s not making a choice without all the information – not this time. He’s had it with being uninformed.
This is too important for them to go into without knowing everything that they can.
...Fine then. Tsukasa’s willing to take them along, but he’s got two warnings. First, they might not actually have a choice. Second…
There’s no bananas allowed on this little field trip.
Uh. What?
––––
Geiz and Woz launch a double-finisher; Ginga Finaly’s gravity attack holding the mooks in place for Revive Fury’s slash. As they explode… everything… slows… down…
The riders manage to turn around, and yup, sure enough, there’s a trio of unevolved Roidmudes.
The Drive Ridewatch glows briefly, and the color shatters away.
Switching to Revive Gale and Ginga Planet, the fight starts back up as Swartz strolls in. They can fight all they want, but there’s not going to be any end. Not now that the world is already ending, now that the only thing that can change this is the choice Sougo makes.
He strolls back out, leaving Geiz to question just what the hell Swartz is making Sougo do.
––––
2058, the home Tsukuyomi grew up in.
Sougo and Tsukuyomi find tiny Alpina’s room – and she immediately tries to go on the ‘offensive’ when she sees them, same as last time anyone came here. She flings her hand out to pause them, but they dodge. Frowning her little baby frown, she asks who they are.
Tsukuyomi tries to calm her, saying that they’re not trying to ‘intervene.’ She’s her, from eleven years from now, but she doesn’t have her memories, and they just want to know some things. Sougo asks if Alpina can tell them what will happen to this world.
A young man in black appears, as he will always be so good at doing. He’ll tell them.
Tsukuyomi immediately tries to go on the offensive, pulling out her Faiz Phone X and aiming it at Small Swartz, but he’s not intimidated.
He tells them that this world is going to disappear soon, but he’s going to save it.
He’s going to save it by destroying all of the other worlds, each and every one of them.
The last line is heard from outside – Swartz and Alpina in view in one window as he says it, and then we see Sougo and Tsukuyomi in another after.
(Tsukasa is probably watching from outside, frustrated. That’s not how that works! That’s not how any of that works! He would know!)

2019.
Woz and Geiz are still fighting against the roidmudes, when the ground starts to shake. Fuuto and Yggdrasil Towers emerge into the wrong city. A group of Elementary Inves and Masquerade mooks appear shortly after.
––––
The Double and Gaim watches lose their power.
Junichiro peers out from the functional area of the kitchen, a look of concern on his face.
He knows more of what’s going on than he’s let slip. I just know it.
––––
Armored footsteps make their way between mooks. A figure in black and purple armor comes forward.
Mashin Chaser says that he will defeat the Kamen Riders.
Geiz, given the events of the past few days, naturally assumes that they’re up against another Dark Rider.
Don’t group him with the Kamen Riders. He’s a grim reaper, and he will surpass the riders.
To which I, a Drive fan, have a general reaction of NOPE NO NUH-UH I AM NOT OKAY WITH THIS!!
Mashin Chaser clenches a fist, and along with the mooks, restart the fight against Geiz and Woz.
––––
2058.
Back at Tsukuyomi’s childhood home, we hear more exposition. Child Swartz says that there are many worlds ‘within’ this one, and that it’s unreasonable for only this one to fall. So he-
HE IS NOT CHILD SWARTZ.
HE IS ADULT SWARTZ.
He’s willing to destroy all of the other worlds. If he does that, then this world will survive.
(Tsukasa voice in the distance: Cool motive, still murder, and that isn’t actually going to work.)
Also, of course he could make himself look like his child self. He’s Another Decade. What’s the main part of the Kamen Rider Decade power set, as given by the belt?
Taking on different appearances.
Tsukuyomi says this is absurd, how can he think he’d get away with that?
He smirks, calling her out. She’s going on about morals, and yet she’s pointing a gun at a child?
WAIT WHAT
Yup, he’s Child Swartz again – still, actually. Sougo figures that he’s probably using his powers to create illusions.
Sure. Let’s go with that.
He has one more question for Swartz, though. How will he destroy the worlds?
It’s simple, really. He’s going to merge them all into one. Each world has it’s own Kamen Riders. If he can consolidate the riders, than the worlds will become one, as well. Then, he only has to annihilate that one world.
(Tsukasa voice in the distance: Merge the worl- I already did that! It didn’t go well! And hell, I’m pretty sure it’s been a single world since I was active! If you’re going to be ‘Another Me’, do your damned research!)
Tsukuyomi asks if that’s why he had Sougo do all of this – why he had him collect the powers together.
Swartz, being Swartz, doesn’t care about anyone elses opinions. As he walks off, Sougo has another question. What will he do when his sister becomes more powerful than him? If she’s stronger, than she could be a great help.
That makes him furious. Her? Become stronger than he is? That’s ridiculous! (He shifts to his adult appearance.) If that were to happen, he’d take her memories and banish her. Only the strong should be king – only he should be king!
He lashes out, hitting Sougo and Tsukuyomi with a blast of energy.
––––
2019.
TUNE: CHASER COBRA!
A single attack from Mashin Chaser takes out all of the mooks, and knocks Geiz and Woz out of their transformations. He drops his own, and ohhh my Drive fangirl heart is breaking. It really is Chase, it’s him, he’s here and oh god this is going to be HeiGen Final all over again isn’t it.
Chase tells them he’s a Roidmude, a mechanical lifeform created by Krim Steinbelt. Geiz and Woz both recognize that name, saying it means he’s a friend of Drive.
Geiz asks if he knows Shijima Gou, Kamen Rider Mach.
SO I GUESS OVER QUARTZER IS CANON.
THIS IS FINE.
NOT LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD HAS TO WAIT UNTIL JANUARY TO SEE IT OR ANYTHING.
Chase, in his always stoic manner, says he’s never heard that name. That in his world, there are no Kamen Riders. He rushes in to punch Geiz.
Geiz manages to catch his hand, though, saying that Chase is being inconsistent. Why is he attacking them, then?
As Chase growls out that it’s because they’re Kamen Riders, he pushes forward, knocking Geiz to the ground.
Geiz picks himself up. “If we’re not supposed to exist, then why are we your enemies?! Even if history changes, you know who you are! That you’re a Kamen Rider, and that you know Shijima Gou!”
Chase hesitates. “Shijima… Gou…”
(Toei, don’t do this to me, don’t-)
Chase holds his head in pain, as he remembers.
An underground parking garage, in mid 2015. Chase, pushing away from the wall he’d been thrown into. Entering his by-then retired Mashin Chaser form to stop Tenjuro Banno from bringing an axe down onto the prone, untransformed Gou. Gou holding Chase in his arms, being given the drivers license and signal bike that Chase had gotten while they worked together. Chase running, sparking, and using the explosion of his death to take Banno out.
Gou screams his name.
Chase cries out in pain, falling forward. Woz comments that the distoritions in space and time must be growing, and he and Geiz take off.
They leave Chase behind, on his hands and knees, all but screaming.
They also leave me, an avid shipper of Gou and Chase, all but crying.
––––
2058.
Child Swartz corners the running Sougo and Tsukuyomi, saying that he can’t forgive her defying him.
She points the Faiz Phone X at him, and when Sougo tells her that she can’t, she says… She says that he’s going to destroy the world. That they can save so many lives if… if they just kill him now.
The same things Geiz once said about Sougo.
She keeps the gun outstretched, her hand trembling, for a moment, before she loses her nerve.
Child Swartz says that he knew she was his little sister, however… as he shifts to his adult appearance, continuing to raise the question of is this Swartz an adult or a kid, he says that anyone who stands in his way will die, and fires another blast of purple energy directly at her-
Only for Tsukasa to jump in, and take the hit, glaring at Swartz from behind the flames before he is finally knocked down.
Swartz calls him a useless hindrance – as a dimensional wall opens.
Daiki emerges, shooting at Swartz with his Diendriver. Swartz takes off, and Daiki looks in the direction of the other three.
Sougo and Tsukuyomi run up to the fallen Tsukasa. She asks why he would do that.
It’s a struggle to say anything, but he manages to answer, holding onto her arm to look at her. Weakly, in pain, Tsukasa tells Tsukuyomi that they can’t afford to lose her.
His grip fails, he falls back to the ground, and stops moving.
––––
2019.
Geiz and Woz find themselves in a back alley, finally getting a moment to breath. Geiz comments that their enemy isn’t from an Another World this time. Woz says he’s from a world without Riders at all – that when Sougo and Geiz were gathering the watches, they were removing the original riders, and thus the opponents they fought were now undefeated… and now they’re all here. Just in time for the watches to start breaking.
Geiz wonders why they’re breaking in the first place, why now, and then theres the skywall and those towers…
Woz posits that it’s likely tied to the time-space disturbances. Geiz points out that would put Sougo right at the center of it all, along with Tsukuyomi.
Woz thinks he might understand his overlords intentions, now.
Aaaand that is a whole lot of monsters up in the sky, including a very familiar looking purple manta ray and a long, black dragon.
Guess the Ryuki watch is done for.
––––
2058.
Tsukuyomi wishes she knew why Tsukasa gave his life to save her.
Daiki walks up, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, saying that they’ll just have to ask him, now won’t they?
Sougo looks appalled. How could they?! He’s dead.
Sougo. Sougo, Sougo, Sougo.
What did you do immediately before using Zi-O II for the first time?
You rewound time, reversing Geiz’s death.
What treasure did Daiki take last time we saw him?
The Zi-O II Another Watch.
“I didn’t want to use my treasure like this, buuut…” Daiki pushes the switch, and time reverses over Tsukasa, undoing all the damage and dying, leaving him lying there, unharmed.
The first thing Tsukasa does when he opens his eyes? Looks over at Daiki, just saying his last name.
“Hey, Tsukasa. You just died. Are you able to eat sea cucumber now?”
FFS DAIKI THIS IS NO TIME TO FLIRT!
Also, please note that while at first, both Tsukuyomi and Sougo are watching Tsukasa as he gets up, Sougo looks aside at Daiki at that last line. I don’t know if Sougo sees that as the flirting it definitely is, but he definitely knows it is NOT the time for that. He is giving Daiki the most ‘wtf’ expression I have seen on this dumb kitties face in a long time.
Tsukasa asks if Daiki turned back time, and is probably wondering just how much trouble they’re going to get from the den-liner team for this.
He did just save your life, but this treasure, uh, has a bit of a side effect… a very painful case of ‘mad with power’.
Like, Daiki is telling them this as he’s in pain, right before losing the fight to not become Another Zi-O. But now he’s got one last treasure to take… Tsukasa’s life.
Daiki, you’ve used that line before, too! Calling Tsukasa your treasure, saying that he’s yours ‘to defeat,’ you did both of those in your own finale! And, I really feel like I need to repeat myself here. THIS IS NO TIME TO FLIRT!
I have never been more pissed that this time axis is so damned washed out than I am right now. Why?
Tsukasa just got Sougo to hand over his watch. His watch.
Kamen Ride! Decade!
He looks red, because everything is so dim here, but Kamen Rider Decade engages Another Zi-O II in combat… as Decade’s fight music starts up.
––––
2019.
A dimensional wall opens, Sougo and Tsukuyomi running through first, Tsukasa getting thrown through, and Daiki following shortly after.
Daiki’s kinda pissed. Didn’t Tsukasa get his power as a Kamen Rider taken away recently?!
He did. But waaaay back in December, he stored half of his power in a certain Ridewatch, that he gave to Geiz in lieu of the Future Ghost watch he depowered.
Yeah, Daiki’ll admit he’s impressed, and turned on, but only half of Decade’s power isn’t going to be enough to defeat him.
Tsukasa’s definitely smirking under that helmet, saying he’ll be fine.
Another Riders can only be defeated by their respective Rider. Decades power is turning into other Kamen Riders.
Tsukasa pulls out a new card.
KamenRide! Zi-O!
Sougo has no idea what’s going on – where did he get that?! HOW did he get that?!
(I want to meet AR!Sougo so bad. I just really need to see what, in all the worlds, ‘World of Zi-O’ could possibly have been.)
So, Sougo may or may not have the gist of what’s going on, but whether he does or not, he pulls out the Grand watch. It’s a nice shortened version of the transformation – it includes all the transformation calls for phase one, stopping with Decade, but has the full backdrop summon with the statues and door. Tsukuyomi runs out of the way as they start coming out of the ground, which is a nice touch. They skip the full mini-figure sequence, thankfully. (We don’t need another Decade Complete transformation up in here!) But he finishes pretty quickly, and goes off to fight Daiki as well.
All three are in the open, now. Sougo pulls out Kiva’s sword for a few slashes, before giving up on that and tossing it to dissolve away. (Oh, look, the Skywall’s in the background.) Then he pulls out Fourze’s sword – the one from COSMIC STATES, because there’s no kill like overkill. (Oh, look, there’s Fuuto Tower.) Tsukasa had been swapping in and out of the fight, but at this point, he just gets out of the way. Sougo lands a few blows with that, tosses it aside, and pulls out Drive’s Formula Cannon. (Hey, Yggdrasil tower! Nice to see you!) A single shot from the cannon – which has been known to blow sizable chunks off of buildings – is what knocks Daiki out of being Another Zi-O II.
Finally, finally, that stupid watch is destroyed.
Daiki’s sulking over losing his treasure.
Tsukasa drops from being Zi-O!Decade to being just regular Decade. “Oh, man, Daiki, you’re just always asking for trouble, aren’t you? Come on.” He reaches a hand down, to help pick Daiki up.
Daiki ignores it, pushing himself to his feet, because he is one of the most tsun-tsun of all tsunderes in Kamen Rider stubborn. He thinks Tsukasa owes him a little gratitude. To be fair, he’s not wrong.
But before Tsukasa can say anything, Sougo stiffens. He drops to his knees as his transformation cancels itself, the Grand watch dissolving into lights.
Sounds of monsters come from behind them.
From one set of stairs, theres a shot from the preview, of the Orion Zodiarts and the Shika Inves (Deer Inves) with a group of mooks. From another set of stairs, the Violence Dopant and the Bison Yummy emerge with another group.
There’s a plethora of those dragonfly-esque Mirror Monsters from Ryuki in the sky, with other Mirror monsters and such flying around as well, giant Makamou crabs and some creepy spiders crawling up the buildings…
Just monsters. Monsters, everywhere.
Tsukasa, still in his Decade armor, says that he gets the gist of it.
Sougo gets it, too. It really is the end of the world.
Except that’s not the summary Tsukasa’s giving. No. He’s going… to destroy this world.
Tsukuyomi looks over, shocked. Hadn’t he been trying to find a way around that?
Daiki looks over, stunned. They – him, Yusuke, and Natsumi – had to kill Tsukasa last time he went ‘destroyer of worlds’ in order to get him to stop.
Sougo looks over, confused and a little angry.
The bars of the Decade watch close down on him for the endscreen.
(Lower left is the Another Zi-O II watch, upper left is Zi-O, and center is Decade)
––––
The preview opens with Trinity versus Oma Zi-O, with Oma saying something about ‘the power to destroy space and time.’
Next shot is the main crew and Tsukasa in the shop, and everyone is glaring at him.
Then Decade and Diend, side by side.
Zi-O – in front of a startled Junichiro, immediately followed by an over the shoulder shot of Sougo in front of his uncle, from Sougo’s perspective… with the sound clip “I’m… a Kamen Rider…”
Woz Ginga busting up some mooks, and Mashin Chaser punching Another Decade, with Chase saying “To me… friends are…” And that’s his softer Chase voice, not the tones he used while with the Roidmudes, the ones he used while he was Kamen Rider Chaser.
Future Soldier Geiz with a machine gun that he’s firing upward, into the camera, followed by Future Soldier Tsukuyomi holding what appears to be a glowing RideWatch. Geiz is saying that ‘she will save the world.’
Sougo in the cockpit of a Time Mazine, with the audio of him saying ‘The last time travel.’
Trinity charging Oma Zi-O, with the audio of Junichiro saying ‘Be safe.’
––––
Hey, what was it Oma said to Sougo? That “you could never defeat me”? Maybe not as a singular you… in the original timeline, Sougo became Oma Zi-O on Oma’s Day… but in the show, that wound up being the day they got Trinity. >:3
Also…
Hey, Toei, I was kidding with this post, you do know that, right?!
(Gaim, that was almost a full year ago that I made that joke, and look where we are now! They got Gou and Chase, but not Shinnosuke!)

“Kamen Riders are not weapons!”
“仮面ライダーは兵器じゃない!” You’ve heard this line come up in recent Kamen Rider series as a justification for the heroes’ actions against their villains. Musing on this line, I realised that in some way or another, Kamen Riders are indeed weapons and in the same vein to the Cross of Fire, their morality is defined by the actions of those who use their powers - as it is said, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”
It’s easy to say that Kamen Riders are weapons because the heroes use their powers to fight against the villains, but in some cases, there is a deeper meaning behind it all. So let’s take a look at how Kamen Riders are weapons to the respective enemies of their series.
Showa Era
I don’t think I’ll touch on this a lot since I’m not familiar with the Showa era episodes nor do I have any interest in becoming so. If I get any of this wrong, feel free to point it out.
Usually, Kamen Riders who were modified by the villains (usually Shocker or whichever organisation the Great Leader led) started off as “tools” for their conquest of the world. However, the Riders would be freed before they could be brainwashed into serving the villains and as such, they essentially became weapons against the organisations who made them that way.
There are some anomalies in the Cross of Fire theory during the Showa era where some Riders were created by their allies for non-malicious purposes. For example, Keisuke Jin (Kamen Rider X)’s Kaizorg suit was originally intended for undersea exploration before his father was fatally wounded by G.O.D. and was forced to convert his son into a cyborg so he could fight them. In the same vein to the previous case, these Riders still became weapons against their respective enemies.
Kamen Rider Kuuga
The powers of Kuuga were created by the Linto tribe for Riku so he could protect them against the Gurongi tribe. When Yusuke Godai became Kuuga in the modern era, he fought to protect humanity in the same vein as his predecessor. He becomes associated with the police, who usually rely on Yusuke to fight the Gurongi, thus becoming their weapon.
Kamen Rider Agito
Agito’s (and by extension, Gills’) power was bestowed upon humanity by the Overlord of Light as a means for them to combat his brother, the Overlord of Darkness and his servants, the Lords.
The G3 System was originally created by the police to be based on Kuuga for the intention of fighting the Gurongi, but when the threat of the Lords came, it was ineffective against them until it was upgraded to G3-X.
Kamen Rider Ryuki
The Ryuki Riders were created by Shiro Kanzaki so they could fight each other to become the sole victor and have their wish granted. Their associated powers also serve as weapons against the wild Mirror Monsters lurking in Mirror World, though some Riders are less interested in fighting Mirror Monsters than others.
Kamen Rider 555
The Rider Gears were created by Smart Brain to protect the Orphnoch King, though Faiz, Kaixa and Delta’s Gears would be used to fight Smart Brain and the Orphnoch.
Kamen Rider Blade
When the 52 Undead were unsealed, BOARD created the Rider Systems for the purpose of resealing them.
Kamen Rider Hibiki
The purpose of the Oni Riders is to fight Makamou and their equipment has been specialised for that purpose.
Kamen Rider Kabuto
The Native Worms, who arrived on Earth in 1971, developed the Masked Rider System for ZECT to fight the Worms that would arrive in 1999.
Kamen Rider Den-O
The Imagins’ objective was to make their future a reality by using humans to go back through time and as such, Den-O and Zeronos were created to protect the flow of time.
Kamen Rider Kiva
Kiva’s power is granted to the King of the Fangires, though Kivat-bat the 3rd chose to help humanity with Wataru. In the past, (Dark) Kiva sought to exterminate the Arms Monsters, the last members of their respective kinds, while in the present, Kiva sought to protect humanity from the Fangire.
The IXA System was created the Wonderful Blue Sky Organisation for the Fangire Hunters. As the modern-day Fangire King, Saga executed Fangires who disobeyed their laws and associated with humans.
Kamen Rider Decade
The Decadriver and Diendriver were created by Dai-Shocker. Tsukasa, originally the Great Leader, would come to fight monsters and Dai-Shocker themselves as Decade, while Kaito stole the Diendriver and became Diend.
Kamen Rider W
The Lost Driver and Double Driver were created by Museum to filter the raw power of the Gaia Memories as they continued to collect data for the Gaia Impact. When Sokichi and Philip/Shotaro eventually got hold of them, they were used against the Dopants and Museum.
Shroud, whose research contributed to the development of the aforementioned Drivers, created the Accel Driver for Ryu to use. Both of them had motives against the Dopants and Museum.
Kamen Rider Fourze
The Fourze Driver was originally created for space travel until it was used to fight the Zodiarts. As the series went on, new Astroswitches were unlocked for Fourze’s use.
Kuniteru Emoto, the Virgo Zodiarts, works for Mitsuaki Gamou and the Horoscopes, but he also had his own agenda against them, taking on the identity of Tachibana and giving Ryusei the means to become Kamen Rider Meteor.
Kamen Rider Wizard
The machinations of Sou Fueki (Wiseman) caused the Phantoms to be created. His intent was to have them bring out more Phantoms from Gates so he could amass the energy to resurrect his daughter, Koyomi. However, when he discovered that Haruto was able to contain his inner Phantom, Fueki gave him the means to become Wizard as he searched for more humans who could contain their Phantoms. To that end, Wizard served as Wiseman’s weapon for the purpose of defeating Phantoms and helping those who didn’t have the ability to contain them.
Beast Chimera, a cannibalistic Phantom, used Kosuke as a tool by having him fight Phantoms as Beast in order to feed on their mana.
Kamen Rider Gaim
During the Inves Games, the Lockseeds and Sengoku Drivers were used as “weapons” by the Beat Rider teams while Yggdrasil collected data on them. Later on, the Genesis Drivers became the weapons of Yggdrasil while the remaining users of the Sengoku Drivers became the weapons of Yggdrasil or the resistance against Yggdrasil, the Inves and the Over Lords.
Kamen Rider Drive
The Core Driviars, which power the Roidmudes, were also used in the development of the Drive System and Next System (Mach Driver). In similar veins to Kuuga and G3 (Agito), the Riders became weapons of the police against the Roidmudes thanks to Krim Steinbelt being a colleague of Jun Honganji.
Kamen Rider Ghost
It’s a bit hard for me to find a deeper meaning behind the arsenal of this series, though in the end it boils down to Riders using the power of historical figures through the Eyecons to defeat the Gamma, who also use the power of the Eyecons.
Kamen Rider Amazons
The purpose of the Amazon Riders is to kill Amazons (and later, Amazon-infected humans) who have succumbed to their urges to eat humans. In addition, the Nozama Pharmacy’s Sigma Project was originally intended to mass-produce Amazon soldiers from human corpses, thereby turning them into weapons.
Kamen Rider Ex-Aid
The Gamer Riders are doctors who defeat Bugsters to cure patients of the game disease. Later on, the premise of Kamen Rider Chronicle is to have players fight Bugsters to cure themselves of their game disease that they infected themselves with by playing said game in the first place.
Kamen Rider Build
This series is the Trope Namer. Project Build was originally created, based on the Evol-Driver, as a means to oppose Evolto, but was manipulated by him into becoming weapons of war and the basis of what would come in the series.
The three territories created by the Sky Wall have their own weapons aside from the footsoldier Guardians; Touto has Build and Cross-Z, Hokuto has Grease and the Three Crows (Hard Smash) while Seito has Rogue and the Hell Bro’s (the Kaiser System). The ordinary Smash have no other purpose than to encourage further development of the Rider System. The Transteam System is transient because its users are affiliated with more than one organisation throughout the series.
During Namba and later Evolto’s takeover of Seito, their weapons include the Hard Guardians, Clone Smash, Lost Smash, MadRogue and Evol.
Kamen Rider Zi-O
Rider powers are weaponised in this series, namely being that Another Riders can only be defeated by their counterpart’s powers, whether it be through Armors or Futurerings or the original Riders themselves. Then, once Zi-O, Geiz and Woz get the power to weaponise time and space, everything’s free game.
Kamen Rider Zero-One
This series shadows the direct example shown in Build (as opposed to indirect examples for the other series). MetsubouJinrai.net turns Humagears into Magears for their subjugation of humanity, but in turn, they are a byproduct of Gai Amatsu’s machinations. In the same vein, he also weaponises Kamen Riders and Progrise Keys, with his company developing equipment for himself, A.I.M.S. and the Raiders. Gai aimed to acquire Hiden Intelligence so that he could weaponise Zero One, but due to some fine print, he was unable to do so, leaving him with only a company that acted as the shell.
As the series continues to go on, there will be more examples of Rider powers being used as weapons against the villains. In the end, it’s not about what the weapon is being used for, but about the people using them.

Oma Zi-O: So an impostor got a hold of the forbidden fruit.
Oma Zi-O: Very well, why don't I offer my assistance.
-back in time-
Tsukasa: Of all the Riders to control, it had to be the god.
Tsukasa: How were they able to do that?
Shoutaro: Forget that, even the non-Rider among the two is giving us a hard time!
Micchy: Kouta-san! i know you're in there somewhere!
Michhy: You can fight that.
Kaito: Oi Kazuraba! I thought you were stronger than that!
Kaito: If I can break free of their control, a god like should be able to!
Kouta's voice: That's because, I'm not in that body."
*The Zawame Kamen Riders looked at Rica, who was holding the Kiwame lockseed.*
Micchy: Kouta-san?
Zack: But what about Mai-san?
Rica with Kouta's voice: That's not her body.
Rica with Kouta's voice: She managed to seal herself as soon as she knew the threat.
Shinnosuke: They're really similar to the Megahex we've defeated.
Rica with Kouta's voice: THat's because that's the Megahex.
Rica with Kouta's voice: Or at least a the remnant of it that existed in other planets.
Sento: Of course, the remnants act as the Megahex's back up!
Rica with Kouta's voice: They just replicated the Kiwami lockseed and jammed it into my body, that's why your fighting my body.
Tsukasa: It was weird how you had yet to transform.
Kaito: How do you suggest we retrieve your body?
Kouta: Equipping my body with a Sengoku Driver should be enough.
*as if on cue, a Kiwami arms Gaim appeared before everyone and and slapped a Sengoku Driver onto Kouta's body before the Kiwami Arms Gaim disappeared.*
Shinnosuke: Did that come from the future?
Rica with Kouta's voice: Micchy, put this on the driver! *throws the Kiwami lock seed and Rica collapses, which was caught by Poppy
Kouta: From now on this is my stage! Henshin!
---one monster beatdown later-
Emu: Sougo-kun, any clue why Ohma Zi-o helped us?
Geiz: Tch That old man is selfish, he probably sensed that someone was stealing Gaim's powers so he wanted to stop that from happening.
Sougo: That's probably it.
I'm not really sure how this would all work in the context of canon- there ever is only one Golden Fruit, and iirc it has to be freely given by Mai, the Woman of Beginning, to her chosen warrior (in this case, Kouta). It is then consumed by said person, who becomes an Overlord like her.
And I don't think Megahex can hijack the bodies in the way you describe, because even the duplicates it created had some measure of free will (see Kumon Kaito turning against him not even a minute after he was created). Perhaps the Golden Fruit would sense it was not freely given and would just turn whoever into a wild Invess.
But, for the scenario, I guess it works? Idk. Oma's reasons for helping out other Riders have always remained rather mysterious, so it could be altruistic, or it could serve his own ends. No one would really know except himself, and mayber Woz who claims to have insight on him.

*hiding behind a wall to see if commie accepts* Tsukasa (ot4) and Sougo(ot..4?), Z (found family)?
Z is for family
Junichiro laughs awkwardly. “I’m so sorry, Mr--Yuusuke, it feels like whenever you come here you end up repairing something.”
Yuusuke shrugs, grins. “I like having things to do with my hands, and there’s no sense in making you waste money on a plumber for something this simple to fix. And I’m going to teach Geiz how to do it too, so if it comes up again and you can’t get in touch with me he can take care of it.”
Blinking in surprise, Junichiro looks past Yuusuke’s shoulder to Geiz, who shrugs. “Woz hates being dirty and Sougo...uh...I kinda don’t think we should encourage Sougo to take apart stuff in the house. Um, no offense.”
“None taken, Geiz, I’ve known him longer than you have and I don’t know that I’d trust him to fix the toilet either, he’s, ah...”
“A little absent-minded?” is Yuusuke’s cheerfully diplomatic suggestion.
“Yes, exactly.”
A frustrated noise floats in from the dining room, and Geiz glances over nervously towards the doorway. “Maybe we should get started on that before Daiki actually manages to lose his temper.”
“I don’t think he’d really lose his temper over something like this.” Yuusuke also glances toward the dining room and frowns. “But then again, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him lose at chess this many times in a row.”
There’s a notable silence, and then the sound of Tsukuyomi saying, quietly, “Checkmate,” followed by Daiki’s aggrieved, “Where did you learn to play chess like that?”
“Yeah, let’s head upstairs, either he’s going to actually get upset or he and Tsukuyomi are about to have some kind of serious conversation and he’d be embarrassed if we overheard him, he hates getting serious in public.”
--
In the dining room, Tsukuyomi frowns at her queen and says, “I...I don’t actually know. I know how to play chess, but I don’t remembering...learning how to play chess. Or who taught me.”
Daiki's resetting the chessboard, so he doesn't look up at her, but he does say, "You know, sometimes I envy Tsukasa for having been allowed to forget things." Before Tsukuyomi can reply, though, "But then he'll go saying something like you just said and I remember how lucky I have it."
Tsukuyomi's frown gets a little deeper, but now she looks more confused than frustrated. "What do you mean?"
"Has he ever mentioned that he can't remember his parents' faces? Or their names?"
"He...no, he hasn't."
"Being able to forget is a blessing, but only if it's something you can allow yourself to do. Having it happen to you is a different thing entirely." He finishes setting up the pieces. "Sorry, I'm being gloomy, it happens sometimes."
Tsukuyomi peers at him for a moment before responding. “That’s why you started showing up to talk to Geiz, wasn’t it. Because of something you wish you could forget.”
Daiki still doesn’t look up at her. Now that the board’s reset he’s started fidgeting with the pieces again, picking up both kings and queens and rolling them in his hands. “You’re too sharp for your own good, you know that?” He puts the kings and queens down again in a little square in the center of the board. “I had a younger brother once. I failed him pretty badly.”
“I mean, apparently I had an older brother once, and he tried to kill me.” Tsukuyomi taps the white queen on the top of its little crown. “That’s also why you keep bringing me Watches.”
“Got it in one. You deserve a better brother. I think you four remind us all of ourselves.” Daiki looks down thoughtfully at the little square of pieces. “Hey, look, by the way, it’s you.” He taps the white queen just as Tsukuyomi did. “So I guess that’d make this one Sougo--” the black king, “and this one Geiz,” the white king.
She giggles. “And Woz is the black queen?”
“Well, it’s not a perfect one-to-one. I guess I could go with the black bishop, but guys who go by Bishop tend to be pretty ominous characters and he's not nearly as worrying as he used to be.”
“So if we’re like you guys, then which one of these are you?”
“Oh, we’re not chess pieces, we’re cards.” Rustling, and a Tarot deck emerges from one of the interior pockets of Daiki’s jacket. He slides it lovingly out of the box and flips through the deck, drawing four cards and laying them down on the table next to the chessboard--the King of Wands, the Queen of Coins, and the Knight of Swords, and the Page of Cups. “See? There’s Tsukasa, that’s Natsumi, obviously this one is Yuusuke, and that’s me.”
“You just...had that in your pocket? And...Cups is the one that turned into Hearts, right? You’re the Page of Hearts?”
They’re interrupted by a startled noise from the kitchen, Woz saying, “How did you get that--” as Tsukasa, at the same time, says, “Princess, we don’t play with kitchen knives, give me that.”
“Ooh, sounds like things are getting exciting in there.” Daiki’s face lights up with a genuine grin. “Anyway, you have no idea how much stuff I’ve got in my pockets, that’s right, and of course I am. The Knave of Hearts, he stole some tarts. Speaking of which...” The Tarot deck goes away, and is replaced by on the table by a deck of regular playing cards. “Why don’t we switch games? You know how to play poker?”
--
Tsukasa carefully takes the paring knife from Yuzuki and puts it back on the counter, farther back from the edge than it was before. “I’m pretty sure you grew, I don’t think you could have reached up there last week.”
She grins up at him. “Tall!”
“Yeah, that’s right, you’re very tall.”
Woz shifts nervously as she returns to the kitchen chair she’s been occupying and clambers up onto the seat. Once she’s occupied with her stacking cups again and in no apparent danger of getting her hands on another knife, he visibly relaxes. He picks a piece of dumpling filling from the mixing bowl with his chopsticks, deposits it in the wrapper in his hand, and passes the whole thing to Tsukasa. “I appreciate your assistance with this.”
Tsukasa shrugs and starts to crimp the dumpling shut. “I figure you’re probably not usually cooking for ten people.” Closed, the dumpling goes onto a sheet pan, where there are already at least fifty completed but uncooked pieces laid out.
“You might be surprised. Sougo and Geiz both eat a great deal.”
“And you don’t?” Tsukasa accepts another filled wrapper and looks Woz up and down. “I’ve seen you eat, it’s kind of amazing that you’re so skinny.”
“That’s...not unfair.”
They make dumplings in silence, Woz filling and Tsukasa crimping as the sheet pan becomes fuller and fuller. Eventually they have to get a second pan, and when they’ve got ten dumplings down on that, Yuzuki slides down from her chair with a thump and tugs on the hem of Woz’s shirt. “Woz. Woz. Woz.”
Woz looks down at her in alarm. “Yes?”
She points imperiously to the counter. “Book.”
“Ah...yes? That’s my book.”
A firm nod. “Woz, book.”
“She wants you to read to her.” Tsukasa puts aside another completed dumpling. “Right, princess?”
Yuzuki nods again. “Ok! Read book!”
Woz only looks more alarmed. “Why me?”
“Well, she knows it’s your book.”
“Yes, but my book is...” Woz glances to the side. “My book is not suitable for children.”
Tsukasa’s eyebrows go up. “Isn’t it? If the stories in there aren’t suitable for children then I don’t know what is.” He pauses. “I mean, maybe don’t read to her about the Amazon kids, the Greek ones, but otherwise. I can keep making dumplings by myself, I’ll be fine.”
Uncertain, Woz nods, puts aside the cooking chopsticks, and washes his hands before taking his book down from its spot on the counter. Yuzuki claps delightedly as he sits down in the kitchen chair and climbs up onto his lap with only minimal wincing on his part. “Woz, book! Thank you.”
His mouth twitches slightly, as if he’s trying not to smile, and Tsukasa winks at him. Then, carefully, he opens up the book and turns to a spot about sixteen pages in. “Long, long ago, there was a man who knew how to do one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine things--”
“Big number.”
“Yes, very big. There was a man who knew how to do one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine things, and his name was Godai Yusuke.”
“Like Daddy! Yusuke!”
“Just like your father, yes. And he loved nothing more than the blue sky and to travel and have adventures...”
--
“Hm. A little to the left, please.”
Sougo blinks. “Which one?”
“The Ride Booker. Your big watch is so chunky that it’s actually managed to make the Booker look small, which is pretty impressive.” Natsumi frowns, peering at the screen on her camera, and then shifts slightly as Sougo adjusts the placement of the Ride Booker. “Yeah, there we go, that looks nice.”
She takes several pictures. They’re working outside in the sun, so she doesn’t use the flash, and after ten or so shots she nods in satisfaction and Sougo says, “Do you want me to rearrange them?”
“No, that’s fine, I’ve got what I wanted. Here, toss me the Booker, you can take your watch now.“
“Ok, here. Why did you want a picture of the Grand Zi-O watch?”
She shrugs. “I don’t get to do a lot of still photography, most of the studio’s business is portraits. I thought it’d be a nice change.” The Ride Booker goes into her bag, her camera goes back into its case, and she sits down on the bench they were using as a platform for the set-up. “Besides, the weather’s good today, it’s a nice excuse to get outside and get some fresh air.”
The Grand Zi-O watch fizzes away, presumably back to the bedside table in Sougo’s room, and he sits down next to Natsumi. “It is nice out today, yeah. But I mean, like. Why Rider stuff? Why not, I don’t know, nature photography?”
“Because I don’t get out in nature as much as I’d like, but Rider stuff’s been a lot of my life. Tsukasa takes all kinds of photos of Rider stuff, of course, and they’re kinda great for what they are, but they’re not really practical records. The story of the whole thing matters, and it’s easier if you’ve got clear pictures.”
“The story? What story?”
“Whatever story’s being told. That’s what photography’s for, to tell stories about our lives. You know, like, here’s when Ritsuko got married, and this is when Miki and his sister graduated high school, and here’s when we saved the world the first time and Tsukasa got turned into a giant belt for ten minutes.” She glances over at him and grins. “Anyway, I wanted to get a picture of his transformation whatsit with yours because it’s kind of funny to see him pick up a junior, I think it makes him feel better about himself knowing that he’s not the only one doing what he does.”
Sougo nods, frowning slightly. “Tsukuyomi said you’re a Rider too, but I’ve never seen you carrying anything that looks like Rider stuff, what do you use?”
“Oh, god, she’s around here somewhere.”
“...she?”
“Hey! Kiva-la! I know you’re here!”
And a little purple-and-white bat flits into view and says, “Obviously I’m here, what do you want?”
“Sougo wanted to know what I transform with. See,” to Sougo, “Tsukasa and Daiki just get cards, Yuusuke’s got his stone, but if I need to do hero stuff I have to deal with her.”
Sougo stares at Kiva-la wide-eyed for a moment before saying, “It’s, uh, nice to meet you? Ma’am?”
Kiva-la turns a loop-de-loop in the air. “I like him! No one’s ever polite to me! Anyway,” with a pout in her tiny voice, “Tsukasa said to tell you it’s time for dinner.”
--
The whole building smells like frying dumplings and cooking soup and good food in general, and Yuusuke and Geiz straighten up and put the lid back onto the back of the toilet moments before Woz says, in his most carrying, I-Am-Making-An-Announcement voice, “It is time for dinner,” echoed by Yuzuki’s enthusiastic shout of, “Dinner!”
Yuusuke’s face lights up. “Oh, perfect timing. Here, wash your hands, I’ll wash mine, and we can both head down.”
“Sounds good.” Geiz turns on the water and starts scrubbing his hands vigorously. “Thanks for showing me that, by the way, everyone else here is useless at repairs.”
“I mean, I don’t know that I’d put it that way...”
“No, seriously, I live with Sougo, he’s a space case. And Woz is...he’s Woz. He’s great, but he’s also Woz.” Geiz backs away from the sink and grabs a towel to dry his hands as Yuusuke starts to wash his. “Why’d you want to, though? Like I appreciate it, but what made you want to teach me something like this?”
“I like fixing things, and you seem like someone who needs to find more ways to relax.” Yuusuke accepts another hand towel. “Rider stuff is exhausting, it’s nice knowing how to do normal things too. Wow that all smells good, I’m so excited to eat a meal that I didn’t have to cook any of myself.”
As they head for the stairs, Geiz says, “No offense, but you seem...different, somehow, from Tsukasa and Daiki and Natsumi.”
“That’s because they’re huge drama queens.” Yuusuke grins at him. “I love them so much, you have no idea, but if we were all like that then nothing would ever get done around the house.”
Geiz stifles laughter.
Yuusuke’s grin just gets wider. “See, I knew you’d get it.”

...At least the Oma plot is getting there now?
Yeah, after like going nowhere for like the entire series. I mean... they probably could’ve done better than just shove it in the last two episodes right?
Honestly I thought that the Oma Zi-O plot was far more interesting than the Time Jackers. I wish they just made it so that Schwartz and co were just his underlings trying to push Sougo into that path so that he would be “inevitable” so to speak.
I think it’s a good twist on the whole “Riders are created by their villains” trope, because in this case the villain is the Rider‘s future self trying to ensure his own existence. And it would’ve been interesting to see how Sougo can eventually defeat him with an obvious disparity in power.
It’s also a great take on the “fate vs choice” theme that Rider always does. Like, Sougo can definitely want to be better than Oma Zi-O, but the thing is, he has no idea if the choices he does make him better or if it just leads him down the path to becoming Oma Zi-O. That tension would make for great drama.
Also, like... wouldn’t Oma Zi-O just be interesting to flesh out? Like, they could do an Arrow Season Six-esque sort of thing where they show the main plot in the present, but have cutscenes showing events in the “future” with Oma Zi-O and his lieutenants, etc. And they could even expand on the resistance movement Woz, Tsukuyomi and Geiz were part of.
Basically the tldr is that the Oma Zi-O plot was so much more interesting and had a lot of potential but it just got wasted 🤷🏻‍♀️ Let’s not even get into how mediocre or just plain bad the cameos were.

ok it’s time for me to FUCKING SCREAM about kamen rider zi-o episode 35 because there was a lot of good shit in it! many many screencaps under the cut.
Tumblr media
so our dramatic opening scene right away made me think of kamen rider ryuki--a convict doing time for murder, frustrated with being stuck in a cell, receives a surprise visit from a shady individual offering the power of a kamen rider.
Tumblr media
hora and tsukuyomi both have such dope manicures? can 2068 be all that bad if standards of living are still high enough to have pretty nails?
Tumblr media
then woz begins the intro IN THIS PINK SWAN BOAT spying on yuko and tetsuya
Tumblr media
apropos of practically nothing. he’s in the cute pink swan boat, by himself, watching a cute couple from a distance like a creepy loser.
Tumblr media
now, im used to woz being Dead Serious About Everything but idk if ive ever seen a phrase like “first love” uttered with such a sense of gloom.
Tumblr media
junichiro will make such a good bride someday. preferably mine. marry me junichiro.
Tumblr media
this whole apple pie scene is the CUTEST SHIT EVER. i love that geiz and tsukuyomi are so close that he knows silly stuff like this?? and look at that HAPPY “i just took a bite of amazing apple pie” look on her face
Tumblr media
look at this beautiful girl enjoying her pie. blessed image. tsukuyomi is such a cutie. so kissable.
Tumblr media
look at this beautiful boy enjoying his pie. he is barely holding back the urge to stand up and IWAE. do it, woz! give junichiro’s baking the recognition it deserves!
Tumblr media
the forbidden ship is alive and well 👀
Tumblr media
he probably gets too little sleep as it is with all these nerds’ shenanigans day after day. let junichiro sleep!
Tumblr media
sougo, trying to sound profound, utterly destroys the mood
Tumblr media
woz has been slamming that pie so hard that he starts choking when sougo brings up the subject of love
Tumblr media
geiz: unable to process that this actual baby boy child has, in fact, discovered girls at the young age of 19 years
tsukuyomi: supportively tending to her verklempt friend who has inadvertently inhaled his pie
Tumblr media
look at this fucking chad. sougo, nobody’s questioning that you have time for romance. all you do is sleep and be a kamen rider.
Tumblr media
geiz being surprisingly genre savvy for a defrosted ice queen
Tumblr media
sougo: smitten kitten
junichiro, geiz, and tsukuyomi: “that’s...it?”
woz: got over his coughing fit sometime during the flashback and is now SHOVELING that pie
Tumblr media
sougo confirmed neko. im sorry fellow shippers, you’ve been writing your zi-o smutfics all wrong.
Tumblr media
silence junichiro you are in the presence of a certified pussy slayer
Tumblr media
this screenshot is good for many reasons
woz acting all chummy while sougo looks awkward as hell
the pie stuck to both their faces
you can barely see it in this picture but the big blob of pie stuck to woz’s right thumb
more than a few men have fallen too im sure right woz?
oma zi-o confirmed manwhore
Tumblr media
yuko knows what’s up; if you’re gonna be queen, you gotta start with a full on spa treatment so you look your hottest.
Tumblr media
yuko is another character with unusual powers that don’t come from being a kamen rider
superhuman sense of smell (along with the ability to identify slight nuances in scent)
super strength (she stopped that car with her foot)
exceptional observational/inductive ability
Tumblr media
i love when she points
Tumblr media
me, easily distracted by colorful shit
Tumblr media
i fear for our future if the overlord of space-time is so easily won over by a good chin scritchin’
Tumblr media
boy oh boy do i want them to kiss and boy oh boy do they hate each other
Tumblr media
kanesaki practiced for this
Tumblr media
no sougo. no no no. do not be this dumb. i’m not saying she’s guilty--i don’t think she is--but a crush you had back in elementary school is by no means evidence that yuko would not commit murder. did she or did she not attempt to kill that lawyer right in front of you?
Tumblr media
i feel you woz...my crush is thirsty for yuko too...
Tumblr media
thank you, geiz, for reality checking sougo
Tumblr media
more cooler point this time
Tumblr media
sougo idk if you’re thinking with your dick chin or just being a fucking pollyanna but you need to snap out of it right this minute. yuko is dangerous. im pretty sure she doesn’t even remember who you are.
Tumblr media
listen to geiz! not only does he know a thing or two about vendettas, but he looks cool pointing at people too!
Tumblr media
hers is a good face and does not deserve such violence
Tumblr media
sooner or later, yuko is going to wind up somewhere that she isn’t close to a manhole. when that happens, she’s gonna be in trouble!
Tumblr media
add retrocognition to the list of sougo’s abilities. i wonder how it’s triggered? but enough of that. EARTH TO SOUGO, GEIZ NEEDS YOUR HELP
something something, ginga looks cool as fuck but i didn’t wind up taking any screencaps. i’m digging his retro-ish design, deep purple, and pretty attack SFX. can’t wait for woz to get that power hohoho
Tumblr media
sougo could you please use your words instead of just yanking your friends into your fusion? that’s not cool my guy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the synced movements between trinity’s suit actor and the three personalities within is awesome. now if only they were in better sync with each other.
Tumblr media
you said it girl
Tumblr media
error? im glad they let yuko’s actress change into some sensible shoes for the purpose of stomping around on rocks 😂
Tumblr media
and now, the preview! why all the groveling? zi-o squad and time jackers alike? weird to see the future king kneeling lower than anyone else, even given how highly he clearly thinks of yuko. it feels almost sacrilegious to see black woz bowing down before someone other than sougo, too. 👀 not surprised that hora and geiz aren’t feeling too reverent.
Tumblr media
sougo, if yuko needed an umbrella, she’d just kick up another manhole cover and hold it over her head.
Tumblr media
kiva, schmiva--we get ginga woz AND an iwae next week! yaHOO!
and some thoughts:
i’m usually reallllly not fond of when a character we’d never heard of last week suddenly has a main character crushing on them (her, always a her) this week but i like how it’s been handled so far. junichiro, geiz, and tsukuyomi are very aware that sougo still fixating on his first crush from childhood is Not Healthy (and a clear symptom of how friggin lonely sougo has been.) woz’s response to the matter seems kind of mixed--maybe he’s more focused on when he gets to eat his next slice of pie than his overlord’s love life, lol
i wasn’t sure what to think of yuko, but i’m enjoying her arc so far! she’s a determinator villain who’s clearly got an intriguing backstory that led her to see herself as the heroine of her own story.
intriguing, too, that woz seems to have time traveled to investigate said backstory, if his (hilarious) stakeout during the introduction is any indication.
and then ginga came out of nowhere. okay then...he seems like a pretty badass adversary! i wonder how zi-o and friends will be able to counter his power? or has trinity perhaps been weakened by the discord between the three?
as always, i look forward to what happens next! in the meantime, i have five episodes of ex-aid left, so by the time the next zi-o subs show up i will probably have finished watching!
