So, I’ve been working on this for the last few weeks, and have finally finished it!

The pattern is from the wonderful folks at @shitpostsampler, and I love them for all the creative work they do to help folks make other creative work happen!

The original pattern uses violets for the lettering, and blue/greens for the border, but I decided to go with a more AO3-y color scheme, and swapped in red for text, grey for most of the border, and a really nice dark red-violet for the border accents. I’m really proud of how this turned out!

(Granted, now i have to figure out how to frame it, but that shouldn’t be too terribly hard given I have incredibly easy access to frames and mats at work lol)

Now, to reward myself for finishing this project with finishing another project, namely one of the fics that I procrastinated on in order to make this cross stitch calling myself out on procrastinating on working on my fics.

By which I mean, it's currently as complete as it can be, given that we still don't have the entirety of the anime shorts, and the BluRay Specials have yet to be subbed, and there's the nigh-inevitable winter crossover movie, and so on. But it's up to date with what has been released!

(There have also been additions made to the other charts, as well, for recent and upcoming specials and movies! I discovered while doing this that my Showa chart still called Superhero Senki 'unsubbed', so uh. Thanks for getting me going!)

I just want to say thank you for the kamen rider spread sheet I started getting into kamen rider recently and I've just been using lists on reddit and that sucked but then I found your spreedsheet and it's been such a helpful resource on how to watch this show so thank you

I've got a question about Yuuto's age... was the one in 1993 highschooler or middle schooler Yuuto Sakurai?

I'm gonna lump these two asks together, because I suspect they are related.

Regarding Yuuto... Initially, I'm gonna be honest with you Anon, I genuinely could not remember! It's been a hot while since I've watched Den-O, and the time travel aspects as they relate to Yuuto are such a tangle I can't remember which past instance of him was which.

A quick check of both the Zukan and the Wiki says that Yu, the 11-year-old Yuuto from Onigashima Warship, is from 1980. Looking up 'when Zero Form debuted' says that the Yuuto they witnessed on a trip, in 1993, wasn't Zeronos yet, so he has to be younger than the Yuuto we follow through most of the show, who we know for a fact (via the zukan and text within the show) is 19.

So, the simple answer to your question is that in 1993, Sakurai Yuuto is high-school aged.

The Zukan, and I do believe the show itself, state Airi to be 22. You don't actually need to be able to read or translate Japanese to see this. You can go right onto the website itself and see! The character ages use arabic numbering - aka 0-9.

The problem, however, comes when you try to apply Math to Yuuto's ages, and how they don't add up. Literally.

Toei, as I have mentioned before, is not particularly good at math.

For Yu to be 11 in 1980, he would have been born in 1972.

For Yuuto to be from some point in 1993 (after March 27, the day they travel to in episodes 39&40), he would have been born in 1974.

Now, the obvious answer here is that, since Onigashima Warship was released during Decade, and thus several years after Den-O ended, Toei simply forgot their own setting, and placed the movie a little early. This would not surprise me.

It's quite poorly thought out of them, given that Den-O was one of the series with the most timestamps at the time, and how important said timestamps were to the mechanics of the show, but it would not surprise me.

Now, for what I suspect is the actual crux of a pair of questions, one day apart, about 'which Yuuto was the middle schooler' and 'do we have an age for Airi'.

Yes, there is a rather significant age gap between Airi and Sakurai. However, they were, for all appearances, in a very healthy, devoted relationship. They were in love. Sakurai was willing to erase himself from existence to protect Airi and their unborn daughter, and yet some small part of her was still able to remember him. Most people had no recollection of his existence at all, but she still felt the gap his un-personing left.

If the point of asking me these questions was for some sort of shipping discourse, then, please. Don't. I catalogue this information for reference purposes, not to incite or fuel arguments.

If the point was just curiosity, I'm sorry for jumping the gun and assuming otherwise. I've just seen way too much fandom drama regarding character age gaps to want to risk it being that.

Hello it is possible I am blind, but in the age spreadsheet (which is incredible I could never), are there birthdays? I know some people have canon birthdays, but not many actually lmao, and I was wondering if you had a list? For anyone and everyone with a canon birthday

Any known birthdays - and there are actually quite a few, plus more that can be put in approximate ranges thanks to airdates - are included in the chart!

(For reference, the chart in question and several related ones can be found via this currently pinned post of mine.)

In the cell with any given characters name, if they have any other names (by way of having changed them for any reason such as marriage, amnesia, and in at least one case ‘adoption’), along with their Rider Names, they’re noted in a ‘note’.

You can see these on desktop by clicking on the cell, and it should appear next to it.

(I very heavily recommend against using mobile to view the age chart, or the order charts, because they are very large and unwieldy in a narrow format. Plus, it’s harder to interact with the notes on mobile, since it involves long-pressing the cell.)

In any case, those notes also feature known birthdays! There are surprisingly a lot of them - many of which are gleaned from things like drivers licenses and profiles shown on screen.

I love Riders Reunited... I will admit that some of thr characterization I have for the riders came from the fandom.. I am new to Rider. Currently watching Gaim and have watching drive, ghost, 01, saber, build, w, decade, and thats all.

So yeah XD and I am a writer as well so I might based the characterization of Emu and others on your writing.

First of all, welcome to Rider fandom! It gets pretty involved here sometimes.

The thing is…

I don't write for seasons I haven't seen, and generally recommend that others do the same. Basing how you write a character off of how someone else writes a character tends to result in vastly over-simplifying their personalities, and mischaracterization and misunderstanding of plots as a whole. Using some elements of someone else's touches is one thing, but it's a fine line to tread before you're just writing their version, and not writing either your own or one that's based on canon.

So, you can do that, but I suggest against it. I would say to write for the seasons you've seen and enjoy, and only do like. Cameos or small appearances of other characters from the seasons you haven't seen. That's how my fics tend to be written - when I started 'Try and Re-Build', I hadn't seen Fourze, Wizard, or anything before Double yet, so I just didn't include them. I've seen those seasons now, so I can write for them, but I also generally don't try to put everyone in one situation, because that leads to over-complicating scenes.

Basically… Stick to who you know, and refresh yourself on them periodically. Rewatches are always fun for seasons you enjoy, because you can get more out of them knowing where it's going, and can focus on picking up aspects of characters that might have gone under your radar the first time around.

Hello... I'd like to ask... why are Yuzuru and Yamamoto aren't in your character sheets. You included Mayu but not the other Kamen Rider Mages XD iirc Yuzuru was 14 y/o during Wizard's run.

Well, the answer to that is simple.

I just don't have confirmed ages for them.

I don't put anyone in the chart unless they are confirmed, and I'm not positive with regards to Yuzuru. The other Wizard civilians are currently up in the air, so I'm not putting them in yet.

Until the Rider Zukan updates with Wizard - and Double - those casts are going to be pretty barren.

As a reminder, the age sheet goes by Canon Ages Only. Everyone in there is confirmed via official sources of one sort or other - magazine and website profiles, interviews, statements and articles in-show, and the like. The reason a few characters are in there but blank is because said characters are Leads or Major Characters - Shotaro, Terui, and Chase key amongst them.

(Also, in the case of Yuzuru and Yamamoto... I forgot them, since they are less significant in the scheme of Wizard compared to Mayu.)

IDK if you follow Geats, but it's not for shipping discourse lol. I kind of want to connect Yuuto to the Sakurais we have in Geats because they share the same surname -Sakurai- down to the Kanji characters they use for their surname.

IDRC about the Airi-Yuuto relationship lol. It's cute but not my main interest for watching Den-O lol.

The reason I want the age because I want to see if what's the relationship the Sakurais in Geats have with Yuuto. Whether Grandfather, cousin, uncle, nephew and whatnot.

In any case, yeah, I definitely understand wanting to check age stuff for that. My money on a potential relation between the Sakurai siblings and Yuuto would probably be cousins, because it's much simpler that way.

There's about a 28-ish year gap between Yuuto and Keiwa, who we Know was born in 2000. So, it's a pretty significant gap, but if their respective parents were Also separated by a fair amount, it's still plausible.

Yeah, a lot of people act differently when they're behind a mask or otherwise anonymous, but with Taro it's like flipping a switch to going absolutely ham.

Yes, he's able to be kick-ass when he's in civilian mode, but he has explicitly said he 'does not hit people'... and yet comes out fists, swords, and gun swinging the Second he transforms.

Well, okay, the first thing he does when he transforms is put on a show with a whole procession, somehow, but the second thing he does when he transforms is go completely ham.

Taro does the 'hardcore training' thing in civilian form, too - we saw that in the Taro & Tsuyoshi episode with the onigiri. But not the way he does as Don Momotaro.

I guess it's more the juxtaposition of exactly how different he becomes that's what's getting people.
