OH i love this question so much thank you for asking!!!! i gotta say, i think the mumbo argument is my favorite scene right now, at least out of whats already been written. That's got my very favorite line of dialogue so far in it, which is this one:

“Well, a fat load of good dying would do for anyone at this point, bud, I hate to tell you,” he snaps, taking another stilted step forward.

It's not even about the content of it so much as i am just SO pleased with how Mumbo's voice comes out in that line. I really feel like i just nailed his cadence right there specifically, and it makes the entire scene feel so sharp and on point to me

Also, im just really a big fan of writing Mumbo's specific brand of scared-angry right now. I feel like this particular type of reaction isnt written very often, so im excited to put it out there because i feel like it really makes sense for his character. He wont always be like this, but in the face of this crisis he is NOT handling his composure very well and i think thats a really neat thing to portray :]

Valen on the other hand thinks he’s the most interesting and amazing person anyone has the pleasure of knowing and that he’s worth it and because he’s set that expectation for himself any criticism from others or negative emotions from himself is shoved aside in favor of the facade and while gideon agrees he’s amazing and lowkey idolizes him lol he’s the only one actually capable of giving him a reality check that he’ll listen to and seeing him as just valen

I don't outline ever. I usually know the destination (end of the work) and just sort of follow whatever road the story lays out for me. I've tried in the past, but it kind of takes all the fun out of it for me.

13. Do you listen to music while you write?  If yes, what have you been listening to recently?

I love listening to music when I write. It's a necessary part of the process for me. I have playlists for all of my long works that I'll usually loop in the background + whatever singular song has been brain rotting my head that week. I've been working on a cowboy AU so I've been playing Taylor Swift's I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) that @ceeceetv injected into my skull last week. I've also been listening to Codex by pale fortress, Jokes On Me by Audrey Nna, and Je Suis Le Vent by Working for a Nuclear Free City. I listen to a lot of phonk/instrumental and hazy stuff that doesn't distract me from the words. I also really love demented electropop love songs.

78. What motivates you during the writing process?

I want to read the finished product! I re-read my works a lot and am always thinking of a future version of me cackling at my own jokes and audibly saying "this is so good." I am honestly my own biggest fan. I also really like showing my work to my friends and seeing them catch all the little details and lines I wrote with them in mind. It's amazing seeing someone that you know react to your work. Finally, it's just so satisfying posting something and knowing that you don't have to post anything else for a while because you've fulfilled the imaginary quota in your head.

So my typical hc for Eddie is that he has taught himself how to cook decently enough that he can throw things together to make fairly good meals for himself because he has spend a lot of time alone. He has had time to experiment, and I think he's probably a fair enough chef, at least not to burn his cheerios lol.

Also, Eddie could smuggle anything into anywhere in my book. He would get it in there. The alpaca would be there. He would be trying to hide it behind his back as Wayne looks at him like he's insane and just eventually gives up and shakes his head as Eddie leads the alpaca to his bedroom lol. I am a firm believer that man could pull off anything he put his mind to.

In your mind did chuuya or dazai pursue reader first? How did the other enter the equation??

my answer is that chuuya pursues you first, because i genuinely don’t think dazai would ever share if he had you first—like i don’t even think it’s a remote possibility. he’d honestly be so hurt that you somehow fell for someone else just as hard as you fell for him (cue yandere behaviour!!!) and i could definitely see him killing chuuya because of it.

conversely, when dazai falls in love with you and finds out you’re already with chuuya, he can’t believe his luck. a pretty baby and causing chuuya emotional pain??? and getting to, essentially, own chuuya, too? to have him ultimately submit to dazai? well, that’s fantastic—that’s a two for one deal; you come as a set!

chuuya fights for you, obviously, as dazai continues to romance you—to entrench you further and further, deeper and deeper into his heart until it has consumed you whole—but ultimately chuuya decides to compromise. because eventually it all just gets too fucking exhausting—dazai is too quick, too sly, too goddamn slippery, and chuuya knows dazai can and will keep this up for as long as he has to, as long as is necessary for him to win. additionally, chuuya realizes that he runs the (very low but still real) risk of losing you entirely to dazai if he keeps trying to win this war against him, and chuuya just can’t have that. he’d rather compromise, and have to share, than not have you at all.
