Reading about comics Future Flash while thinking about s3 Savitar is like being slapped in the face, because what do you mean we could've had a villainous version of Barry who killed other Rogues in service of his goal to reverse the death of someone he cares about (Wally, though the show could've made it Iris) and died telling Barry not to pursue the path of vengeance??

We could've had this?? But instead we had a hodgepodge version of some parts of Future Flash and some parts of Savitar that didn't even mesh well??

#you might say 'we could've had comics savitar' but...ehh i think the choice to make the stakes personal in s3 was a good decision #(trying to outdo zoom's menace was a mistake and a waste of time) #but they should've COMMITTED to future flash #why did they try to do BOTH #they tried to throw us off with savitar for so long that they missed out on all the future flash potential oh my GOD #this is gonna haunt me fr #savitar #future flash #dc #the flash

#so many thoughts about her #the handmaid #the handmaid homestuck #homestuck ancestors #damara megido #homestuck #egg art #according to hussies book aradia was in contact with the handmaid to receive game instructions #which is interesting considering megidos can speak to the dead and the handmaid is one of the few ancestors alive #so either handmaid channeled a dead aradia or future aradia channeled a dead handmaid #handmaid could of also just manipulated the timeline to make sure aradia was the catalyst for the game being played #or something less more or equally complicated #and without this we just have to assume its maid powers allowing aradia to have flawless instruction of what to do or shes just a #level 3000 gigabrain girl genius at 13 years old #and instead of putting that interaction in the story we got. the dancestor flashes #so im a little miffed about it really

Imagine little Leo having trouble sleeping so he ends up watching tv and movies with Splinter to pass the time. Splinter often just passes out in his chair, but Leo likes the company anyway.

One day, Leo’s rifling through the movies his dad brought back for them (usually 70s and 80s stuff - Splinter has a bias) and he gasps.

Leo runs over to Splinter and holds up a copy of The Last Unicorn, begging that they watch it that night.

Splinter remembers absolutely nothing about the movie, but hey it’s got a unicorn and it’s animated so it’s gotta be fine, right? So he turns the movie on and passes out near immediately.

He’s woken up roughly an hour and a half later by Leo climbing up onto his chair and sobbing hysterically into his chest.

The movie is now one of Leo’s favorites.

Iris West-Park was ripped decades backwards in time to the moment of the Gene-Bomb's detonation by The Pariah. Stranded after her presence at this moment resulted in a bifurcated timeline, leading Iris to seek out her Great-Aunt Irey and learn more about her mysterious great-uncle...and her missing father, Wally.

Her Meta-Gene expresses as super-speed, but actually functions as a conduit to an extradimensional energy, the Speed Force, exercised to a variety of effects. Her helmet has a millionaire pico-sensors to scan and display near-future real-time information about her environment. Her lightning rods are to help with navigation and vibrational dousing, as well as weapons in a pinch (either by slicing or being used to fling lightning). Her running blades store ambient Speed Force energy, providing a back up if her connection is ever interrupted or she needs an extra boost in a pinch.

Fleeing from the All-Stars after their confrontation with Pariah, Flash seeks out the heroes she remembers from her childhood, encountering Nightwing, Green Arrow, and All-Star Girl when they're still coming into their own. They end up forming the Young All-Stars, working to undo a future their senior counterarts the All-Stars are only barely aware of...
