(forgot to post this here sorry) so hard being the only bravelands fan on earth 💔💔 seriously though it’s so heartbreaking to read a book with so much potential and have absolutely no fan content of it despite how much insane potential there is to make even angstier animatics than the existing wc ones. so many wc fans pass bravelands up because “it can’t be as good as warriors”. like yeah it isn’t. admittedly, it is better. the pacing is better, the characters have some level of depth, it doesn’t just follow one group and their incredibly repetitive “child has a vision of a prophecy and has to save the clans” storyline (I promise I’m a massive warriors fan but come on it’s flawed guys) and dude this book is sooooo much more intense. I haven’t listened to it on audible once without tensing every muscle in my body and tearing up. READ. IT. also sorry for not coloring the lineart I got lazy.

I can't wait for the Erins to write a crossover series where we learn Warrior Cats takes place in the same universe as all their side hustles. Firestar Warrior Cat must team up with Kallik Seeker Bear, Lucky Survivor Dog, Fearless Bravelands and Ghost Bamboo Kingdom Panda to defeat a chimera demon made of all their villains. Erin Hunter themselves is piloting it like a mech suit.

I think I might actually put Bravelands as my favorite Erin Hunter book series. It's not perfect by any means, but it's just like.. better? I think the writing quality is pretty nice, the story is interesting, the plot is engaging and the characters are charming. I enjoy Fearless's growth. Little lion man gets raised alongside baboons. I do wish characters got more fan designs and fan animations/animatics on the interwebs like Warriors but that's a blessing and a curse. Even as a Tailchaser's Song fan I only get half as much. But that also means no one can argue against my headcanons and fan-lore because I am the only one on the internet who cares enough to do so.

I've heard that the world building is good but the characters not so good, or maybe the other way around. No clue if I'll ever bring myself to read the series, but I did see those youtube videos about the different animal cultures and customs and I think its neat

Also I heard that one of the more recent arc was just three books long and now I wish that was AVoS

Fearless dies.

That was honestly one of the most shocking twist deaths for me that I've read in recent. I should have seen it coming but I didn't. It was a little sad as well. He spent his whole life vowing revenge, to the point where he grew obsessed with it that it would turn away friends and family. And while he did win in the end, he quickly dies too.

I’ve been reading bravelands, and wow. If you think warrior cats pov characters can be unlikeable, y’all have not met Fearless yet. The most whiny, self-centered, delusional, arrogant, selfish character the Erins have come up with yet

Speaking of Bravelands I’m still so mad at Swift telling her kids not to trust Loyal because he’s a codebreaker before she died without saying what it was he did. Like there’s a guy out there who wants to KILL Fearless (who is NOT full grown) and you’re going to try to convince them to leave when you won’t be here to protect them knowing full well he absolutely cares about their safety AND he’s not the only one who broke the code when Fearless was conceived

AND he thought Gallant was dead. Sure impregnating your dead best friends wife isn’t great but 1. You agreed to it to and 2. Is it really worth it to scare your kids into leaving him when Titan or whatever his name is wants them dead and Loyal is a full grown lion who wants to protect them

i'll come back with more to say once i finish the first series but MAN i'm kinda mad that bravelands didn't go with making fearless the great father like i thought they would. he's a little asshole right now and he has a lot of growing up to do but i thought that was part of the whole "oh the next great parent isn't ready" thing
