(forgot to post this here sorry) so hard being the only bravelands fan on earth 💔💔 seriously though it’s so heartbreaking to read a book with so much potential and have absolutely no fan content of it despite how much insane potential there is to make even angstier animatics than the existing wc ones. so many wc fans pass bravelands up because “it can’t be as good as warriors”. like yeah it isn’t. admittedly, it is better. the pacing is better, the characters have some level of depth, it doesn’t just follow one group and their incredibly repetitive “child has a vision of a prophecy and has to save the clans” storyline (I promise I’m a massive warriors fan but come on it’s flawed guys) and dude this book is sooooo much more intense. I haven’t listened to it on audible once without tensing every muscle in my body and tearing up. READ. IT. also sorry for not coloring the lineart I got lazy.

Book name: Bravelands Author: Erin Hunter

The Bravelands books absolutely aren't the end-all-be-all of disability representation (I mean just look at what they did to poor Fleet) but it is nice to see that nobody treats Skullcracker as any lesser because of their broken jaw. Maybe that's just an intrinsic part of Bravelands hyena culture (they seem to be very death-positive as well) but it's nice, more than I could say for poor Crookedstar in Warriors, another Erin Hunter series.

I know they're canonically female but I headcanon them to be non-binary! They just happened to have worked themself up to the high ranks of the females.

Outcast from po3 has really fantastic cover art for how disappointing the actual book is. I know because I checked it out after I took this photo. Respect the mid-arc slog I guess.

I wonder if Warriors main-line arcs will ever return to having a single protagonist, or a different protagonist each book.

TBP had only one protag (firestar) and TNP has a different protag each book except for Brambleclaw and Leafpool who return. But the trio of protagonists concept from POT really seems to have stuck around for future arcs, not just in Warriors but also their other series like Seekers, Bamboo Kingdom and Bravelands which all feature a trio of protags per arc. Survivors is the only series to only have a single protag for both arcs. Just thought it's interesting lol

I have no more room left on this shelf for this damn series.... There's too many damn books! Well, if I had all the paperbacks instead, they'd fit fine, but I like the hardbacks.

Ignore the photos on the wall. They've been up for years, and I just haven't gotten around to taking them down. Nor do I even like those bands anymore (except for All Time Low (there's a few of them up there), I still like those guys).
