And Fit married Spreen, and Spreen died before the divorce paperwork was signed or they reached long enough for it not to need Spreen's signature, so Fit is Spreen's widower. (Much sexier than divorcee, let's face it, even if he prefers divorcee - which he legally isn't - because it sounds like he had a choice in the matter or something there's something to unpack there I'm sure)

And so Fit is Missa's brother-in-law. And Missa is Fit's brother-in-law.

And Philza is Missa's (platonic, government assigned [*stares at them and shakes my head*]) husband.

And so Philza was Spreen's brother-in-law. And Spreen was Philza's brother-in-law.

Means Philza and Fit are /also/ brothers-in-law.

But that's besides the point, because Fit (and Spreen) are Ramon's parents, and Missa and Philza are Chayanne and Tallulah (and Wilbur?)'s parents.

Which means Fit (and Spreen) are Chayanne and Tallulah (and Wilbur?)'s uncle(s), and Philza and Missa are Ramon's uncles.

This all means...

Ramon is Chayanne and Tallulah (and Wilbur?)'s cousin.

I've never personally read Chase saying that Leo didn't like guns as "Leo is a liar about everything and was a gun loving republican the WHOLE time!" Instead I read it as, "Oh there is something WRONG going on with Leo that has caused him to go back on one of his core beliefs". With further information and retrospect, I think that was the intention with the scene. It explains Chase being SO shocked at seeing the gun, and feeds into facts we know and themes that can be extrapolated from the text as a whole as well.

IMO, the supernatural is a metaphor for trauma and Leo's is feeling responsible for Sydney's death, because he was supposed to be watching him. Thus we get Leo's desire to protect people and the supernatural feeding off of his desire to do so, which creates a feedback loop of negative emotions and mental agony.

Leo 'needs' the gun to protect people, but owning the gun makes him feel bad. As he feels bad, his negative emotions are amplified by a physical manifestation of trauma to make him feel worse, and makes his 'need' to protect people greater and greater, as his insecurities and fears are amplified over and over

This cycle, or 'circle' if you will, is one of the core themes of the game. The real narrator tells them to the reader moments after you hit start. Leo is hurt, and his hurt is damaging to himself and others. He isn't a monster that deserves no sympathy. He isn't JUST a toxic ex-cautionary 'red flag', he's just as hurt and in need of help as everyone else in Echo.

This isnt meant to be hateful or to dunk on people who write like this, but I am so TIRED of people writing newsie fics with a fem!reader or oc thats like "im different, im a girl newsie" or "i had to dress up as a boy to be a newsie" or "its so hard to be the ONLY GIRL newsie", bc yes, there were no girls that explicitly played girl newsies in the movie or musical, but girl newsies DID exist!! You can literally search it up!! The only reason people didnt really notice a lot of girl newsies during the strikes was bc most of them became "scabbers", it payed better and you werent allowed to hit girls, so they got off scot free. But before and likely after that, there were probably just as many girl newsies as there were boys. You can argue that you use these as a plot device to build tension or to create conflict but PLEASE IT IS SO OVERUSED AND UNORIGINAL BY NOW. And your reader or character doesnt HAVE to be a newsie, they can have other professions and things that make them an interesting character.
