The Ten Commandments of Million Dollar Divas
I have to be honest. I have reached a point in my life where I struggle to listen to speakers who think I need to be fixed or that I need help finding my passion. I keep asking, "Who can help me and others like me that are 20 plus years in business and way beyond the basics?" As I thought about what's required to survive or more importantly, thrive in the tumultuous conditions of today's business climate, I developed “THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF MILLION DOLLAR DIVAS.” I think you will find it inspiring and full of concrete advice.

Apps That Help Entrepreneurs Optimize Their Digital Marketing Strategy
Did you know that there are 582 million entrepreneurs in the world? With numbers like this, entrepreneurs everywhere need a competitive edge. If you’re building and scaling a business, chances are you’re constantly on the lookout for ways to get a leg up on your competitors. To accomplish this, you’ll need a great marketing strategy that stands out in a saturated market and access to the best digital marketing tools.
In this blog, we’re going to outline nine applications you need to optimize your digital marketing strategy. There may be a few that you are familiar with; others might be new to you. These are the ones that can unlock that door to success you’ve been waiting for.
From project management to outsourcing tasks and simplifying your social media marketing efforts, each of these applications will help you get the competitive edge you’re after. Plus, they’re easy-to-use with minimal technical skills required.
Project Management and Collaboration - Trello
The most important part of starting your digital marketing strategy is communicating and setting expectations for deliverables and deadlines for yourself, and if applicable, your team and stakeholders. In the past, most project management efforts took place via email. However, that traditional process was not created to accomplish the dynamic and fast-paced tasks that digital marketing activities demand.
Trello is a free digital marketing tool for easy project management. The app displays each project like a “board” containing “cards” with checklists, and the user interface is easy to understand and navigate. Like other platforms, there are upgrades that come as paid features to get the most out of it. But, the basic free service entails checklists, deadline reminders, data filtering, activity logs, email notifications, customizable task categories, and more. It’s the best tool to simplify and organize digital marketing projects.

Book Review- The Wealth Elite: A Groundbreaking Study of the Psychology of the Super Rich, by Rainer Zitelmann Notes
I came across this book because I was looking for psychology books. I found the first of the book rather boring and too textbook-y. The second part is much better.
The author interviewed like 45 millionaire - billionaires. These were his findings.
48% stated that real estate was an ‘important’ source of their wealth, and one in ten described real estate as the ‘most important’ aspect of their personal wealth-building. And a total of 20% described stock market gains as an ‘important’ factor in wealth-building, although in this case only 2.4% stated that this was the ‘most important’ factor in building their wealth.
‘Creative intelligence’ is key to financial success. The following is a comparison between the percentage of entrepreneurs (and in brackets the percentage of attorneys) who agreed that the following factors played a decisive role in their financial success: seeing opportunities others do not see: 42 (19); finding a profitable niche: 35 (14).
The role of habitus
* Intimate knowledge of required codes of dress and etiquette
* Broad-based general education
* An entrepreneurial attitude, including an optimistic outlook on life
* Supreme self-assurance in appearance and manner.
He identifies a key quality that is essential for any prospective appointee to the executive board or senior management of a major company: habitual similarities to those who already occupy such positions.
Skillset of Entrepreneurs
* The ‘conqueror’. The entrepreneur has to have the ability to make plans and a strong will to carry them out.
* The ‘organizer’. The entrepreneur has to have the ability to bring large numbers of people together into a happy, successful creative force.
* The ‘trader’. What Sombart describes as a ‘trader’, we would more likely call a talented salesperson today. The entrepreneur has to “confer with another, and, by making the best of your own case and demonstrating the weakness of his, get him to adopt what you propose. Negotiation is but an intellectual sparring match.”
Entrepreneurial success personality traits
* Commitment
* Creativity
* A high degree of extroversion
* Low levels of agreeableness
Entrepreneurial success personality traits
* Orientation towards action after suffering disappointments (the entrepreneur remains able to act, even after failure)
* Internal locus of control (the conviction “I hold my destiny in my own two hands”)
* Optimism (the expectation that the future holds positive things in store)
* Self-efficacy (the expectation that tasks can be performed successfully, even in difficult circumstances).
constant power struggles with their teachers in order to ascertain who would emerge the stronger from such confrontations.
Secret of selling
* Empathy
* Didactics
* Expert knowledge
* Networking.
Conscientiousness is the dominant personality trait. Extroversion is also very common among the interviewees. Openness to Experience is very common
A high tolerance to frustration is one of the most characteristic personality traits of this group.
exceptionally high levels of mental stability.
primarily characterize entrepreneurs as being prepared to swim against the current and make their decisions irrespective of majority opinion.
“No, I never did that (lost my temper). I never get loud. But I can be resolute and say: “That is unacceptable.” And then you either have to go your separate ways or make a decision that the other party might not like. It’s the same in negotiations. I was always described by other people as a bit of a toughie.”
Having the courage to stand against majority opinion is probably a prerequisite for making successful investments, as this is what makes it possible to buy cheap and sell high.
Many of the interviewees spoke about their ability to switch off and direct their focus, even in the event of major problems. The interviewees consistently referred to their ability to focus on solutions, rather than torturing themselves with problems.
At least in the initial phases of wealth creation, most of the interviewees rated their own risk profiles as very high. This changes during the stabilization phase, when risk profiles decrease. In this phase, the hypothesis of moderate risk does apply.
Conscientiousness was the interviewees’ most dominant personality trait. It is important to remember that the Big Five theory’s definition of conscientiousness does not just include qualities such as duty, precision, and thoroughness, but also emphasizes diligence, discipline, ambition, and stamina.

Context, always the context
After we had gagging fun - and some, a small and unjustified heartbreak, too - with the newest 🎪 pic, let's put it a bit in context. I confess I am more and more immune to these: they are aimed at this fandom, of course - just to fuel further web wars and talks: never forget Xmas is round the corner, too. But they are also aimed at the Casuals, who still can't place McIdiot on her map and do not really care, to be honest.
So, what exactly do we have, here?
This:
Tumblr media
After more than ten years in showbiz, our C still needs a pointer to tell ignoramuses like me where exactly she is, on that picture?
How odd. How unfair. But let's imagine I am from Mars. I have no idea who these people are, including to each other. The legend tells me nothing: just C and T and zero details. They could very well be co-workers, acquaintances, friends...? Oh, she's married to him. Oh. Ok. For sure, they ooze bliss and happiness. For sure. I've seen broomsticks act more convincingly than this.
Also, the photographer. As a very trusted friend pointed out (thank you, forever indebted to you), this Bennett guy was all over the place, yesterday. According to Getty Images (https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/search/photographer?photographer=Dave%20Benett&assettype=image&sort=best&license=rf%2Crm), he attended at least seven other high profile London events yesterday and was paid to cover them, too.
Their list immediately places this minor happening in its right context and at its right place:
"Leave The World Behind" - UK Special Screening and afterparty. The one she attended with McIdiot.
Hackett London x David Gandy Wellwear Launch Party - Savile Row tailors, established in 1983. Huge success story from a humble Portobello Road clothes stall to a 160 shops global network and a part of LVMH group (remember? LOL). The one she did not attend with McIdiot.
"Femme" - Gala Screening - After Party - UK thriller, premiered at the Berlinale last spring. Will be released tomorrow in the UK and IE. 95% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes. The one she did not attend with McIdiot.
Skye McAlpine Celebrates The Opening Of Tavola's Christmas Pop-Up Shop, in Knightsbridge (along with Fitzrovia, my favorite London spot). Tavola is a high end tableware collection, carefully curated by Skye McAlpine - celebrated British cookbook author and an expert in Italian cuisine and fine dining. You should think two gin entrepreneurs would be thrilled to meet her, at another event she did not attend with McIdiot.
A Reception By The All Party Parliamentary Group Honouring Elton John For His Dedication To The Global Fight Against HIV AIDS. No further comments needed for this very, very posh event she did not attend with McIdiot. I doubt she has this type of connections.
The Anti Slavery Collective Inaugural Winter Gala at the Battersea Arts Center in London. Attended by royalty (yeah, ok: Fergie - but also, her two Princess daughters!), aristocrats (Count Nikolai von Bismarck comes to mind), showbiz people (Ed Sheeran - hello?) and of course, the press. But this is another very high profile event she did not attend with McIdiot.
Longines Dolce Vita Exhibition and after party - aimed at the high end luxury crowd. Another event she did not attend with McIdiot.
Smirnoff Celebrates New 'We Do Us' Initiative In Partnership With Tilting The Lens And Sink The Pink. Smirnoff, that legendary vodka which story started in Tsarist Moscow and now continues as part of the behemoth Diageo spirits group. Mhm. Now with an event tailored for the well-heeled LGBT+ and Generation Z crowds, organized in partnership with Tilting the Lens,  Sinéad Burke's consultancy firm with an absolutely spectacular client portfolio, featuring Gucci, Starbucks and -hey, nice to see you! - Soho House. LOL. You would think they could have grabbed a black cab and do anything to at least drop in and say hi. You would think they would be interested to meet with the other, less obvious, partner of this event, Stonegate, a major player on UK's hospitality scene. What a pity this was another event she did not attend with McIdiot!
Make no mistake. London is a real global metropolis. Une ville-monde (a World City), a notion coined by one of my masters, the wonderful French historian Fernand Braudel. As such, it currently stands at the epicenter of all that is trendy, new, exciting and expensive and it offers an endless array of opportunities for the brave and the bold. That was but a very incomplete sample of a Wednesday night on the London scene, busier than usually with all those end of year events. Out of the other seven of this sample, she had a profitable and realistic choice between at least two or three other events. She could have even coupled that after party with at least another one of those, if she had the right network to attract an invitation.
It is also plain to see, by now, TMcG is by no conceivable means the successful, multimillionaire businessman and entrepreneur. He is nowhere to be placed on this very rich, very diverse event scene. He does not attend any events by himself, whereas she carefully attends events all alone and does it very well - wouldn't that be because she has a name in her own right, too? He apparently does nothing, he apparently is Nobody. You should think a successful, multimillionaire, ambitious businessman would be proud to be seen just about everywhere with his up-and-coming actress wife, isn't it?
The sad truth is this clown only makes it to a cursory mention in a Daily Fail picture gallery when dragged along by C. At an event she most probably managed to get an invitation via Rami Malek, her co-star in The Amateur:
Tumblr media
That, my friends, is not C playing her Greta Garbo. That is C squandering every shred of sympathy capital she ever managed to acquire, with absurd determination.
But sure, keep on screeching, Stans. Keep on screeching. All of the above are cold, hard FACTS your queens carefully keep out of your reach. God forbid you come to the realization.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of you may remember me mentioning my quest to get black cherry soda and several shipments ending in tragic bottle breakage. I have been seriously craving this soda for nearly a month now.
I contacted Boylan and accused them of shoddy shipping.
Tumblr media
They very politely informed me it was not their shoddy shipping store on Amazon.
Tumblr media
After some additional Amazon analysis, I felt foolish about my inaccurate accusations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They informed me there were no local distributors of Boylan brand bottled black cherry beverages. They said they had no control over Amazon shipments and recommended I order directly from them. That would make this already pretty pricey pop about $15 more expensive after shipping and tax.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had nearly given up.
After the $220 pizza and the $250 battery replacement and an almost assured account overdraw in my future, I'd have to wait at least until next month to satisfy my soda craving.
But when I went to my local Schnucks grocery store last night I decided to check the soda aisle to see if there were any alternatives.
My first find was Schnucks' own generic brand black cherry soda.
Tumblr media
I have to say, that is a cute label for a generic store brand product.
After some research, I discovered this is a rebrand of a classic Vess soda. I like Vess soda! They make a wonderful cream soda concoction that my grandma used to buy whenever I would visit on the weekends. And I specifically told my mom never to buy cream soda for home because then it wouldn't be special when I had it at my grandma's house.
Sadly, I was unaware it was Vess-in-disguise and I was not trusting of a generic store-branded soda. Sometimes these low-cost rebranded items can be good, but it is always a crapshoot. I mean, their generic peas are 70 cents cheaper than Green Giant, but they are also mushy as heck. So based on my previous peas experience, there was a good chance it would taste more like black cherry cough syrup than soda.
I didn't know it was Vess, okay?
REMEMBER THE PEAS, PLEASE!
I fell into a soda research rabbit hole. Vess was acquired by a company called Cott Beverages in 1994. And Cott was then acquired by a company called Refresco in 2018. And Refresco partnered with Coca-Cola and is now their main manufacturer in the United States.
So I guess it is actually a Refresco Cott Vess Schnucks brand black cherry soda in partnership with Coca-Cola.
Capitalism is fucking weird, dude.
So the possible cough syrup RefresCoVesScnhucks was in my cart. I was considering taking the risk.
But then I noticed... the Fitz's section.
Tumblr media
A locally owned and operated boutique soda bottler.
*heavenly music*
And do you know who owns Fitz's?
Mr. Alfred J. Fitz! (I don't actually know his first name or middle initial.)
Who founded Fitz's in 1947 as a drive-in restaurant based around his popular secret root beer recipe.
That's right. Fitz's was not enveloped by an incestuous line of conglomerates successively eating each other.
And because of that, they went out of business in 1976. The soda biz is rough if you don't have a multinational manufacturing and distribution network.
But then Fitz's was revived in 1993 by two plucky entrepreneurs who were determined to rebuild the brand using the original secret root beer recipe from Mr. Alfred J. Fitz.
Small business wins the day!
And then they sold out to The Westgate Group in late 1999.
Which then sold it again to Clayton Capital Partners in 2003.
Will capitalism please stop fucking with soda?
But then one of those plucky entrepreneurs thought the brand was being damaged by soulless investment firms and bought back Fitz's. He restored it to glory and I'm sure he will never sell it again*. He is intent on maintaining the Fitz's tradition and image as a beloved St. Louis small business that culturally enriches our famed Delmar Loop with vintage soda bottling techniques customers can watch when they visit the Fitz's restaurant. Neat!
Tumblr media
*Unless RefresCoVesScnhucks offers him a bunch of money.
I can't believe I forgot about Fitz's. I used their root beer as a subject for one of my favorite product photos.
Tumblr media
To make a long story as long as humanly possible my god why are you even still reading this...
...wouldn't you know it, Fitz's makes black cherry soda!
Tumblr media
It is delicious.
Craving accomplished.

5 Ways for Entrepreneurs to Decompress Over the Holidays
Tumblr media
No matter which holiday(s) you celebrate, this time of year can be a great time to get some much-needed rest and relaxation.  For many industries (certainly not all, but many) it’s a great time of year to carve out these moments for yourself since clients are focused on family.  But we all know that relaxation can be easier said than done when you’re used to being on the go.
Here are some of the best ways to decompress:
Guided Meditation. It can be difficult to turn your brain off!  While the goal of meditation may seem lofty, for those who think meditation is impossible, try guided meditations!  The internet is full of great tools to help you practice mindfulness and decrease your anxiety.
Make plans with friends you haven’t seen in a while! One of the big down sides to being an entrepreneur is how isolating it can be.  Even when you have a supportive and loving tribe, it can be easy to lose touch when so much of yourself is wrapped up in your business.  What better time to reconnect?
Turn off your phone. Yup, I said it.  Don’t put it on silent.  Don’t put it on vibrate.   Turn it OFF.  It doesn’t have to be all week, or even for a whole day, but take some time and give yourself the gift of unplugging, even if it’s only for a few hours.  And no cheating with your iPad either!
Read for pleasure. No business books, no self-improvement, just good old-fashioned FUN.   Think back to the time your loved reading the most, doesn’t matter how old you were.  Was it Roald Dahl, Stephen King, Jackie Collins?  Doesn’t matter.  Embrace the fun of reading and pick something for the sole purpose of your own enjoyment!

Network Marketing Essentials: Building Your Business from Scratch
In the vast landscape of entrepreneurship, network marketing stands out as a unique avenue for individuals to build their businesses from the ground up. It's a realm where success is not solely determined by individual efforts but by the collective strength of networks. If you're considering diving into the world of network marketing, understanding the essentials is crucial for laying a solid foundation for your business journey.
Understanding Network Marketing
At its core, network marketing is about leveraging personal networks to promote and sell products or services. Unlike traditional business models, network marketing thrives on building relationships and fostering communities. Whether you're representing a well-established brand or launching your own venture, the key lies in effectively communicating the value proposition of your offerings within your network.
Tumblr media
Identifying Your Niche
Before embarking on your network marketing journey, it's essential to identify your niche. What products or services resonate with you? What are you passionate about promoting? By aligning your offerings with your interests and expertise, you'll not only enjoy what you do but also authentically connect with your audience. Remember, authenticity breeds trust in the realm of network marketing.
Building Your Network
Central to the success of any network marketing endeavor is, unsurprisingly, the network itself. Start by cultivating relationships within your existing circle - friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances. However, don't limit yourself to these connections. Embrace opportunities to expand your network by attending events, joining relevant communities, and leveraging social media platforms. Each new connection presents a potential opportunity to grow your business.
Effective Communication
In network marketing, effective communication is paramount. Whether it's crafting compelling product pitches, delivering engaging presentations, or nurturing relationships with your team members, honing your communication skills is non-negotiable. Listen attentively to the needs and concerns of your audience, and tailor your messages accordingly. Remember, the goal is not just to make sales but to add value and build long-lasting relationships.
Consistency and Persistence
Like any entrepreneurial endeavor, success in network marketing doesn't happen overnight. It requires consistent effort and unwavering persistence. Be prepared to face challenges and setbacks along the way, but don't let them deter you from your goals. Stay focused, stay motivated, and stay committed to your vision. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a successful network marketing business.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, network marketing offers a dynamic and rewarding path for individuals to build their businesses from scratch. By understanding the essentials - from identifying your niche to nurturing relationships and honing your communication skills - you can lay a strong foundation for success. As you embark on your network marketing journey with ONFYX, remember to embrace authenticity, cultivate your network with care, and remain steadfast in your pursuit of excellence. With dedication and determination, the possibilities are limitless in the world of network marketing.

How Today's Women Entrepreneurs Are Empowering The Next Generation
There's an unmistakable seismic shift happening in the business landscape today, and it's echoing loud and clear: women entrepreneurs are transforming the face of industries, catalyzing innovation, and inspiring future women leaders.
These influential businesswomen are changing the narrative, demonstrating to young women and girls that they can take charge, establish their ventures, and lead with conviction. They are embodying empowerment and driving a change that encourages the next generation to follow suit.
One of the foremost ways these accomplished women entrepreneurs are empowering the next generation is through role modeling. These CEOs, founders, and industry disruptors are living proof that ambition, resilience, and innovation are not gender-bound. By actively running successful enterprises, they are etching a clear image of what a business leader can look like – and it is decidedly female.
Next, is through mentorship. Successful businesswomen understand the unique challenges that come with being a woman in entrepreneurship. Therefore, they are investing their time and resources in mentoring younger women. They are sharing their experiences, knowledge, and skills, enabling their mentees to navigate their entrepreneurial journey with a strategic roadmap drawn from real-world insights.
Entrepreneurial education is another avenue through which women entrepreneurs are making a significant impact. They are harnessing their experiences to create educational platforms, leadership programs, and startup accelerators specifically catered to empowering budding women entrepreneurs. This targeted education not only equips future entrepreneurs with essential skills but also instills a sense of belonging and confidence.
Unlocking the full potential of your entrepreneurial journey often involves connecting with like-minded individuals who share your ambition and drive. Tips on becoming a freelance portfolio/ investment manager for private wealthy clients.
I’ve got a bit of experience as an assistant Portfolio manager, and I’ve been looking into starting my own business working with private wealthy individuals client.
There's so much to this, this is the shortest I could keep my answer:
Build Your Foundation:
Hone Your Skills: Sharpen your investment analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management knowledge as much as you can. Maybe consider courses or certifications to fill any gaps and boost your credibility more.
Define Your Niche: Are you drawn to specific asset classes (tech stocks, real estate, etc.) or client types (retirees, entrepreneurs)? Specializing adds value. This will boost referrals.
Get Regulatory Clarity: Depending on your location, there might be licensing or registration requirements for freelance advisors. Do your homework to stay compliant and track any changes.
Marketing and Client Acquisition:
Build Online Credibility: A polished LinkedIn profile and a basic website showcasing your expertise and background are essential. Network strategically!
Content is King: Share insightful market commentary through blog posts or a newsletter. You can try all the other social platforms as well. This establishes you as a thought leader and attracts potential clients.
Target the Right Audience: Where do your ideal clients hang out (online and offline)? Charity events, industry conferences, upscale networking groups – be where they are.
Leverage Your Existing Network: Don't underestimate the power of your current contacts. Let clients, colleagues, and friends know about your new venture(optional).
Operational:
Pricing Model: Will you charge hourly, flat fees, or a percentage of assets under management? Consider your services and market rates.
Tech Tools: Invest in the right software for portfolio management, reporting, and client communication to streamline your workflow.
Contracts and Compliance: Have a lawyer draft airtight client agreements that protect you both.
Bonus Tips:
Get a Mentor: Connect with a seasoned advisor who can offer guidance and share their experience.
Start Small and Scale: Begin with a few strategic clients, and as your expertise and reputation grow, expand your clientele.
Embrace the Freelance Mindset: Be prepared for the hustle; managing your own business requires discipline and adaptability.
Remember, building a successful freelance practice takes time, dedication, and top-notch client service. Stay passionate, stay focused, and let your expertise pave the way to becoming a trusted advisor for your wealthy clientele.
