Darko Macan &  Michael A. Stackpole -- writers Edvin Biuković -- penciler/inker  Dave Nestelle -- colorist Peet Janes -- letterer
Edvin Biuković died in 1999 at the age of 30. I really like his art on these Star Wars issues. He was so good! What a loss for the comics industry.

Note
I liked your post on how regrettably the comic version of the Thrawn trilogy draws women. The sexualization might be downplayed compared to some comic art, but it's still very present. Have you ever read the X-wing series comics? I feel like they're pretty good on this front for the most part, with some regrettable exceptions.
I’ve read parts of the x-wing comics, but it’s been a while!
If I recall, I didn’t like a lot of the art in the x-wing comics, which kept me from reading most of It. The exception would be the work that Edvin Biuković did on a couple of issues; he’s the same artist that drew The Last Command. I like a lot of what he does with the comics, although he is responsible for some of those images of Mara I cited in my post. I don’t know if he does the same with the women in the X-wing comics.
If anyone else has better references/background in the x-wing comics, pitch in!

Welcome to Ellen Million Graphics’ Featured Artist of the Week! Each week, we select an EMG artist and share their work and history. We hope you enjoy getting to see incredible artists this way.
This week, our spotlight turns to illuminate that artist of delicate detail and colorful imagination, Karyn Lewis Bonfiglio! Karyn resides with her husband and son - along with a cat, a dog, and two rats! - in Indiana. Although she considered being a veterinarian (and her love for animals is obvious), her interest in art began in childhood and only grew. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in drawing, and found the grounding in art history along with feedback from her teachers and peers to be quite valuable to her. Her early artist inspirations include Albrect Durer, Arthur Rackham, and Gustva Klimt, while later she found herself influenced by great comic artists like Wendy Pini, Edvin Biuković, and Jeff Smith. Karyn prefers to work with digital media today, but pulls out her charcoal and inks when she missed them. When she’s not making visual art, you can find her writing, working with fiber, or crafting jewelry - indeed, she says her office “looks like a bead and yarn shop exploded” in it! You can discover more about her and her work at www.karynlewis.com.
Karyn has been a member of Ellen Million Graphics and Portrait Adoption since June 2004! She’s become one of EMG’s more popular Portrait Adoption artists over the last 13 years, with several portraits on wishlists and a bevy of adoptions. Her current offerings include a tough and buff lady bodyguard, a Renaissance firestarter, a serious Elven fellow with piercing eyes, and many more fantasy characters. And she’s open to commissions! There’s also an interview of Karen printed in EMG-Zine: Wizards (August 2009). You will find Karyn’s art in a couple of EMG’s recent coloring books: she has work in Equine Enchantment and Fishtank Fantasies (where she has the cover as well!). We invite you to explore more of her art and discover her writing at EMG via the links below.

In EMG-Zine: Interview with Karyn Lewis by Costanza Ehrenhaus.
She’s in the following EMG coloring books: Equine Enchantment Fishtank Fantasies (where she did the cover!)
The illustrations featured are all available Portrait Adoptions: A Blonde Rogue A Smoldering Swashbuckler  An Elven Punk Amazon Security A Soft Court Beauty

Christopher Chance is the Human Target. A one man throw-back to the pulp adventure television that most of us remember from our childhoods (The A-Team, The Man From UNCLE, The Saint, Mission: Impossible etc) he's suave, sophisticated, high skilled in all manner of combat training and prone to ending up in high stakes games of danger and daring.

Preliminary character sketches by illustrator Edvin Biuković in preparation for illustrating the “Star Wars: The Last Command” comic series for Dark Horse Comics. The first image depicts Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, and Mara Jade.
