- horror verse: you see, despite whatever stories (truths and lies alike) that she tells about her past, you know for one thing is that siyue is not one to be trusted. after all, the ghosts that follow her around would be the dead giveaway. she does an exceptionally great job at pretending nothing's wrong, really, but only she knows what goes on behind closed doors when she's alone. facing her demons surely isn't her favorite pastime, but maybe she'd have to give in to their requests and demands to finally be left alone, and maybe that includes paying her own debt. (inspo tag: the horror of a carcass is the beauty of a butcher shop) - crime verse: the crowd that she likes to mingle with certainly isn't all that different from the likes of her. birds of a feather flock together, after all. none of them are ever innocent. so when she happens to be the witness of a murder in one of the most anticipated parties in downtown, it seems now that she has more than just her reputation to fear losing, and that includes her own life as one by one the party attenders who have been in contact with the victim start dying in mysterious ways all over. - a darker crime verse: queenie enjoys competitions. but only when she's the one winning. many would say she’s good at what she does, that she’s born for it. but there’s always someone new, that has her feeling threatened. less about her records and status, but more about her pride and ego. but it’s alright, she’ll take it into her own hands to eliminate those who stand in her way, so that she's the last one standing, by whatever means necessary. after all, red is definitely her color. (yes let me write singer-slash-murderer!queenie thanks) (inspo tag: they say I did something bad but why's it feel so good) - heist verse: nowhere else to put her talents of charming and deceiving with a flair for the dramatic for good, especially after giving up a singer dream due to various reasons, siyue has ended up becoming the resident con artist, yet she loves working in groups, simply for the fact that there's always someone else to blame on whenever something goes wrong. plus, it's fun! (inspo tag: they're the hunters we're the foxes) (ps: highly inspired by da.phne k.luger in o.cean's eight) - reincarnation verse: (to be expanded - see you in my 19th life inspired) basically she reincarnated with previous memories of her past lives intact. still a singer here, having decided that becoming a high-profile celebrity surrounded by security should make it harder for someone to get to her, and is determined to get revenge because she gets murdered by the same person. every single life. only that she doesn't quite know who it is, or why. (inspo tag: i know hurt is a wandering song)

- supernatural verse: (to be expanded) a nine-tailed fox who has had amnesia, more or less after finally becoming human, or so it's said. - d.c comics verse: (to be expanded) she lives in go.tham because she's in debt after breaking an exclusive contract, thinking that she'd be well hidden in a crime-ridden city. what do you expect.

Everything you never thought to ask and never wanted to know about my Josépan playlist/history with and opinions of the ship.

Intro:

The journey of this playlist has been a long one, starting on Amazon Music and my old, janky and now defunct Ipad.

STRAP IN, CHILDREN AS I TAKE YOU BACK TO A MAGICAL TIME WHEN NEITHER LEGENDS OF THE THREE CABALLEROS; NOR THEIR CAMEO IN DUCKTALES HAD BEEN ANNOUNCED YET, MY BLOG ON TUMBLR DIDN’T EXIST (THOUGH I WAS LURKING) AND PANCHITO WAS STILL THE LEAST POPULAR CABALLERO, otherwise known as around late 2017.

A word on the origins of the playlist:

The playlist was not initially Ducktales focused because the two didn’t exist in Ducktales yet. I was rather unenthusiastic back in the day about this ship (oh how the times change) but I had stumbled across a song that didn’t fit them and Donald but fit just them very well and wanted to make an animatic of it. So, I cobbled together some songs I thought fit the vibe and made a playlist.

The history behind the story that inspired it:

I’ll spare you from starting at the very beginning. But, when “The Town Where Everyone was Nice” premiered I was already thoroughly and utterly obsessed with the cabs; I remember how beyond ecstatic I was for the episode. My hype for the Ducktales versions of José and Panchito continued far beyond what seems to have been normal for the average cabs fan. I found myself drawn to the ideas put forth by those versions of them. I don’t really remember what the tipping point was for me to break down and make my own college AU but eventually I did. It was affectionately dubbed “The TV Show That Will Never Happen AU.” José and Panchito were enemies to lovers or at least to friends. And it was around that time I began to go CRAZY with the headcanons as I got more active in the fandom. While my ideas for the Ducktales versions of them grew and grew, so too did the time between them appearing in “The Town Where Everyone was Nice” and their alleged next appearance in the show. When fans noticed the distinct lack of José and Panchito in the season two finale of Ducktales, Francisco Angones, @//suspenderofdisbelief on Tumblr answered these two separate asks that I might have engraved on tombstone one day:

I was GONE for the ship after that. I developed another AU for them based around their time in Baia trying to get people to fund their attempts to become famous musicians. Also, slowly falling in love... It was affectionately titled “The Fan-Comic that Will Never Happen” but not yet connected to my college AU. I don’t have much of a timeline for it after this point, but with that AU I really hit my stride for interpretations of the two characters and their dynamic. The version of them I hold dear in my heart and headcanons came to be. Then “Louie’s Eleven” came out and absolutely destroyed a lot of my headcanons (just kidding, just kidding). Since the new canon material didn’t really jive with a lot of the wholesomeness I had built up I was left with a lot of something else: angst. I LOVE angst, but the two’s bitterness and arguing...It was hard to accept at the time. Me and @cartoon-lizard on Tumblr, my IRL best friend, wound up writing a Josépan fic fueled on a bit of that angst and by her grace, a lot of my headcanons. I titled it “My Reverie is Being Haunted by That Ass.” In it Panchito makes an ass (rimshot noises) of himself by running off with a producer he met by chance during a visit in Duckburg to try to become famous. And doing so without so much as a second thought to the person he’s been living with/sort of dating for over a year. It took me a while but eventually I figured it out. These weren’t three separate AUs, these were three separate pieces of the same AU. And so my masterpiece never meant to be made came to be: “The Trilogy: College/Baia/Reverie.”

“The Trilogy” Itself:

The story will never be written for a variety of reasons, personal and practical. But if it ever were to be written it would be three separate fics, aka: College, Baia and Reverie.

College encapsulates their college years (duh).

To set the stage:

Panchito: A friendly, arrogant and easily excitable musician with big dreams, good grades and a whole lot of anxiety and insecurity. He has complicated feelings towards his identity as both trans and pan and how that might affect his dreams of becoming famous, but is overall bright eyed and innocent enough.

José: A lazy (depressed), charming, pessimistic, tbh kind of a douche and deep in the closet gay man. He tends to push forward a very “Manly man” persona to make up for his own deep seated internalized homophobia brought on by a shitty upbringing. He just got away from said shitty upbringing and doesn’t really have any hopes for his future...Maybe to travel a bit?

José and Panchito start as enemies, both fearing losing their one real friend, Donald, to the other. Despite this the three start a band and the two’s rivalry becomes far more friendly. They get particularly close during the trip down to Acapulco for spring break where the general feeling of being disconnected from life and reality leads to several rather romantic moments between the two...They almost become a thing several times but never quite do. However, they are very good friends by the end of college. The three stay in contact for a while after college but eventually lose touch…

Baia timeskips forward 13 years later (I know it's only 10 canonically, I always say 13 for reasons) to a conversation between Panchito and José on the Sunchaser at the end of “The Town Where Everyone Was Nice.”

Panchito: Life hasn’t been kind to Panchito...His need to be famous, to be something in order to be someone has led him to push a lot of people out of his life so he can better focus on “Work.” Or drive them out by constantly asking for their support, financial or otherwise. He has no friends and even his relationships with his loving and supportive family are strained. Currently, he’s working freelance as a performer at childrens’ birthday parties (in his eyes: a clown) and goes home to a sad, empty apartment every night to stare at a notebook full of half written songs and muster enough energy to eat cereal for dinner for the third time in a row. Needless to say, his optimism is wearing thin.

José: A lot of hard work on his part, some good therapy and mmm; drugs have put him in a pretty good place. He’s more or less got his life together now, is way less of a douche and is more of a realist than a pessimist. He’s also pretty much completely comfortable in his identity as a gay man. He’s been trying to explore romantic relationships, but unfortunately (likely due to the loveless marriage between his parents making him strive so hard to believe that love is real that he puts the unrealistic goal of true love above all else) feels incomplete without one and double unfortunately has a tendency to be drawn to toxicity and abusive situations. So other than a string of (short lived) bad relationships, he’s actually doing great!

Panchito has already asked Donald to drop everything and stay with him down in Baia to try to get funding for the band. Donald said no. José has a steady job, a decent apartment and a supportive friend group back home. He's also long since lost interest and hope in their college dreams of being famous...José says yes. The two have a bunch of wild and wacky shenanigans trying to get funding and both dance around their growing feelings for each other until it explodes and overwhelms them. They rush into a romantic relationship head first with no real ground for it to be built on and unrealistic expectations of what the other can give them. Despite all this, things seem quite happy...for a while…

alias / name: Lina / Chris. Chris has been my main alias for the many, many years I’ve been on this platform, so it is often the one I’ll still go by for convenience sake, but Lina is completely fine by me as well seeing as it is commonly what people call me outside of this website.

zodiac sign: Gemini / Year of the Rat. Basically I was born to be a shady, two faced bitch.

height: 5′6?? Something like that.

hobbies: talking about Muu 24/7, complaining about being sweaty, watching tiktoks even though my fyp has been cultivated around Muu’s trauma tbh, and sleeping whenever I get the chance.

favorite color: I love me a good orange. Bias towards warm tones for sure, but I wear more black than anything else really.

favorite book: I haven’t read anything in so long rip. Got really invested in the Miss Peregrine series, but haven’t managed to get back into it since the film turned out to be garbage. One that I would recommend others to give a read since it happens to be Muu’s favorite book is Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. I also live and breathe by The Phantom Tollbooth. I do be having really odd hyperfixations tbh.

last song: Follow Me Down by 3OH!3. I couldn’t tell you why, but I have to listen to that song every so many months in order to reboost my will to live. Shit’s catchy.

last film / show: The last movie I can remember watching is Over the Moon. Wasn’t a fan of it personally, but Muu got attached to Gobi and now has one to bring with him everywhere he go. Last tv show I watched was Teen Wolf. Haven’t made much progress in it, but I guess it is alright opp

recent reads: I have so many comics / graphic novels to catch up on, don’t look at me. I recently just got out of what was basically an obsession with works by Farel Dalrymple. I got very invested in the world of the Wrenchies tbh.

inspiration: ??? hm, anything cute probably. I am a sucker for babies and bottoms tbh

story behind url: I got tired of it being muu-kun, and wanted a change. it isn’t super meaningful or anything. Mainly just intended to be reflective of him being a tenderhearted person and his focus towards being a kind of person that can be considered sunshine again.

fun fact about me: I had a dream about the mun the other day. Wasn’t very exciting or anything, but I can recall being really mad at her for writing her name in on the schedule at a job I don’t have. Spent a majority of it being bitter about her just thinking she could do such a thing even though it failed to occur to dream me that her and myself live an ass load of miles away from one another. I’d like to be petty enough to think that the dream happened because the bitch was thinking of me uwu

Tove Jansson Videos!

Here’s a list of some videos on yle that feature Tove Jansson and often others; most are interviews, though there are some that aren’t. These probably aren’t all of them, and there’s also audio recordings you can find, but it’s late and I need to get up early tomorrow so I’m posting this as is lol.

Lars, Tove and Tuulikki in Japan - 15.9.1991 - Short one featuring the iconic trio!!!! Tove once again being a fashion ICON and referring to the others with their nicknames ‘Lasse’ and ‘Tooti’ :’)

Tove's brother Lars and Tuulikki Pietilä travel to Japan to see Moomin animations that have been completed. They are extremely satisfied.

Interview with Tove at Klovharun in Pellinge - 2.9.1991 - Oh this is GOOOOD! Tove is so lovely and cheerful in it (she is in them all, tbh) and we see some 90s Moomin anime character sheets!!!!

Reporter Christian Forsberg siblings Tove and Lars Jansson at Klovharun in Pellinge archipelago. They discuss the Japanese animations, why Tove thinks they are good, and what it's been like to work with them. We also hear more about the advent of Moomintroll.

The youth magazine X-tra also speaks with Tove Jansson. Junior reporter Nike Tallqvist interviews Tove Jansson. Tove Jansson and Sixten Lundberg, who has given Moomintroll their voice, talk about the animations. Tove Jansson is very happy and satisfied with the films. They have become good, she thinks. Especially Snufkin is nice. "I'd like to be like that," she says.

The Moomins and the Great Flood - 18.11.1991 - However, Tove Jansson is not so pleased with the new release of Småtrollen and the great flood. She thinks the book is not good.

Tove Jansson and Tuulikki Pietilä about art and life - 09.15.1991 - Tove, Tooti, and Pentti talk in this one and we see Moomin figures & tableaux.

Here, Tove Jansson and Too-ticky, Tuulikki Pietilä, are interviewed about the construction of the Moomin House. The idea came from Pentti Eistola, who built a smaller Moomin house. And from that, the idea of the house grew. The gang gathered for play nights where there was carpentry, painting and sewing.

The house travelled around the world, first to a Moomin exhibition in Bratislava, to finally stay at the Moomin exhibition in the Tampere library.

Here we hear what Tuulikki likes to make herself as a doll. And why Pentti Eistola made a Moomin House.

Tove and Friends - 1970 - This is literally just a 24-minute-long video of Tove chilling with some mates including Lasse Pöysti and Birgitta Ulfsson and Erna Tauro oh my gosh!!!!

Here we visit Tove Jansson in her studio home with friends of her. Lasse Pöysti sings the Moomintroll show, Tove draws and the gang discusses.

It is a real home for reportage. From time to time, someone puts in a relevant question, and in between you talk gently, cut bread and cheese, and drink wine.

Discussions revolve around the studio home, drawing Moomin films, Moomin visors and Tove Jansson's writing.

Erna Tauro, who wrote the music for Tove Jansson's songs, talks about how it feels to compose to lyrics.

Tove Jansson on the Moomin House - 1.9.1979 - This one has some pretty good shots of the moominhouse tableau!

With the help of friends Tuulikki Pietilä and Pentti Eistola, Tove Jansson has created a Moominhouse, a dream house that stands for everything that modern architecture does not do.

It took several years to create the perfect house. The decor is complete in every detail. In the Moomin House you can find everything needed in a house.

The Moomin House will travel to Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. Architecturally, the Moomin House is a concoction of different styles; Karelian style, baroque, empire and rococo.

Tove Jansson is happy and eager. She sees the Moomin House as a fantasy house that stands against the modern beehives where no one wants to live.

About Tove Jansson's childhood - 09.15.1991

Tove Janssons talks about her safe but bohemian childhood and how her life has become with the celebrity.

Tove Janssons' upbringing was bohemian and artistic. If mother Ham (Signe Hammarsten-Jansson) can not tell Tove Jansson, it is difficult to tell if someone you have loved so much.

But about her father (Viktor Jansson) she draws stories. He was a bohemian, with an unavoidable attraction to the bourgeois. He longed for disasters and kept them in good spirits.

You may see where the characters Moominmamma and Moominpappa and really the whole family come from.

About Tove's choice of profession and Moomin's birth - 09.15.1991

Tove Jansson talks about how the little troll was born in a comic book Garm. It was just a coincidence that she started writing children's books, maybe she longed for childhood summers.

The creatures give each other freedom. But the figures evolved. As an example, Tove Jansson takes Moominmamma who can get really angry. And Snufkin, who is totally free and alone, comes and goes as he pleases. He was Tove Jansson's idol for a long time, but he is really self-centred and spoiled. After all, it is easy to be alone and stick out in the wilderness when you are hailed and applauded when you get home. Fillyjonk, on the other hand, goes under by loneliness.

The cartoon was what took Tove Jansson's loss. It was terrible, but Too-ticky helped Tove Jansson write Moominland Midwinter. There she placed Moomintroll in a strange world. He not only experienced adventure, but also difficulties.

The Moomin World, the Celebrity and the Moomin Fan - 15.9.1991

Tove Jansson also talks about the difficulty of being known, all the fans who write and demand answers. She refers to Topelius and Astrid Lindgren who know equally.

When there is talk of all the research in Tove Jansson's books, she just gets irritated, they could wait a bit at least.

Tove Jansson became more and more shy over the years, but she gained recognition for her Moomin books all her life. She talks a lot about fame and trouble.

Anna Savonius wonders if the Moomin books became too narrow when Tove Jansson can no longer write about them. Tove Jansson thinks that they changed the meaning, and she went back to visual art.

And with horrible mothers she switched to short stories and novels.

Mostly she writes well for herself. But children's books need a happy ending, it may be awful, but not cruel and contain justice and honesty. However, you do not need education.

Tove Jansson became an honorary professor and was 80 years old before she died on June 27, 2001.

Tove Jansson talks about Summer Book and The Dangerous Journey. And about how difficult it is to write for children and for adults.

Tove Jansson has often talked about how celebrity has made it more difficult to write. And how she gets stuck and doesn't move on.

In Charlotte Aira's deep and strong interview, Tove Jansson returns to this. Writing is a heavy job, as heavy and difficult as painting.

Tove Jansson receives the Topelius Prize - 9.28.1978

Tove Jansson received the Topelius Prize in 1978 when she published The Dangerous Journey (1977). It is Tove Jansson's last picture book about the Moomin role. Tove Jansson thinks about the dangerous journey, she thinks it may not have been so successful in terms of text, but she likes the pictures.

Here, Tove Jansson tells Chris Zitting about how fame has affected her. About how she hated to see her beloved character being commercialised and because of that, she began to lose the desire to write about Moomin.

She also talks about the inspiration to start writing more adult books.

Tove Jansson tells us that the book Moominland Midwinter (1957) was very important to her. She was stuck and couldn't write a lot more, but her life partner Tuulikki Pietilä (Too-ticky) helped her by suggesting that she place Moomintroll in a new and strange world. That helped Tove Jansson move on.

The interview was made in 1988, but was shown again after Jansson's death in 2001. The program has Finnish subtitles.

2. what is the most amazing thing that has happened to you? oh man jj coming out here with the hard hitting questions ahaha umm I guess finding friends (here and irl) who share the same interests as me and even if they don't still supporting me regardless! shoutout to my two closest friends irl who always read my fics even tho they're not in the same fandom at all

3. what is the best thing that you’ve ever accomplished? honestly, I guess my ATAR? *gags at the flashbacks* but it's what essentially 13 years of schooling led to and I think I did pretty well so I'm happy. (also getting a medicine interview but that was kinda ruined when I didn't get accepted into med LMAOOOOOOOOO)

4. what would be the first thing you would do if you’d ever arrive in the moon? look at the earth! saw this comic about how an artist was sad they’d never be able to view the beauty of the earth in its entirety and that really stuck with me I guess

1.What’s your dream job? How funny that you’d ask that, because it was JUST yesterday when the cards and the spirits emphasized me “What is your dream job? What do you want to do so that it never tires you up because you are so much in love with it?”

I’ve been hearing that a lot in the last few weeks. I seemingly need to clear my vision!

But, my dream job is to delight people with my creations. I dream that my characters and stories would become well known so that the characters could reach as many people as possible. I dream that they’d become independent entities of their own, going out to the world to cherish, empower, calm, soothe, inspire, delight, guide and support their fans - whoever would need their help.

THAT would be the biggest dream come though! And to earn money with such a wonderful thing - perfect!

Do you play any games regularly? Only Fruit Nibblers and Empires and Puzzles with a phone - despite owning 5 gaming consoles.... and laptop for indie games etc. small... Tekken is the only series I follow regularly and buy all new releases asap. What’s your favourite thing to write with? Laptop and Word. I zone into the writing the best with laptop. What’s your most used emoji? :3 Well, not an emoji, I rarely write with a phone as I’m in front of the laptop anyway. Probably some sort of heart? What’s the weirdest thing you ever eaten? Eh... cricket vegetable patty? It was delicious but crickets gave me a 2 days long heart burn! We have quite many cricket products here. I think Finnish maksalaatikko - liver casserole - sound absolutely hideously weird when you put it in English. It is boiled rise with pieces of liver and raisins baked in oven. I love it but can’t eat it anymore.... Can you keep a houseplant alive? NO. I gave up this year after killing probably 50 houseplants in the last 3,5 years... Even a simple marimo which just needs a water exchange every week...I have killed 6 of them. I sometimes buy flowers, though. I survive with them very well. But otherwise, I have fake plants only. What was the last message you sent? Like with a phone? Or overall? With a phone I informed that this week is not good for our meeting but next week works better for me. Overall, I just spoke with my sister about washi tapes here in Tumblr. Share with me something that makes you happy. When I get lovely feedback and comments to my art and comics! When people send me fanart of Demon Sanctuary or Fuzzy! CHRISTMAS! Seriously, never underestimate my love for Christmas. When the Christmas is over, I start to get ready for the next Christmas in January. Good paranormal documentaries and accounts. God, I love them. Gaining more knowledge, especially something which makes me go like “...! Oh, so you can think like this, too! You can do it like this, too! Interesting, never occurred to me!” An example; after finishing Jeffrey Burton Russell’s book “Lucifer - The Devil In The Middle Ages” I was thrilled by all the different looks and beliefs regarding God, Lucifer, Satan, Hell, Lucifer’s Fall, Human’s Place on Earth etc. which battled against one another in old times. Would any of the Heretic belief system gained more support, the Western religion would look VERY different - as would our world. Highly fascinating...! Oh yeah and stickers. Definitely stickers! And Billy Idol. And ZappyBoi. And Junkrat Well, all my fave characters tbh! Traveling <3 What’s your favourite song lyric at the moment? I’ve been in a good mood and listening to “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, so I must say that.

Can you cook? Apparently! I cook only if I have a friend coming over - so a few times a year. I prefer to eat simple cold stuff like yogurt and fruits myself. I can make dinners work just by vaguely following the recipe. What items do you carry around with you everyday? Only the necessities that are in my bag; a wallet, a phone, headphones, a small bag with emergency and hygiene items, tissues, and a small hand towel for public restrooms.
